A/N: Hey ya'll! It's Kuro-chan here with the next chappie of the Golden Shadow! Hehes, things are heating up between a few of the pairings. Though there will be more angst involved. *shifty eyes* What? I'm not spoiling anything for you crazies. I'm not that type of authoress. I may use cliff hangers of doom, but if those are in action I use them to ensure readers will continue to enjoy the story. Anyways, enough of me rambling on like the silly woman I am. Chapter 7
While the ship remains anchored in place it has gathered some unwanted attention. There is the other ship to be wary of. The captain of the ship Naruto had been on wasn't sure what to make of the one that had collided with his ow. There was no indication of it being a priate ship. Kakashi decided it required further investigation. Uncertainty crossed his mind before making this decision, but he figured it was worth the risk. His ship wasn't going anywhere for a while until they managed to find their missing crew member. Kakashi thought the worst had occurred to the blonde haired male yet the other crew members thought differently than him. He decided to keep the ship there to appease the others. He knew they weren't too far from their destination. He lowered the bridge, connecting the two ships. Raising a brow, he noticed the captain of the other ship was waiting there for him. Stepping out onto the makeshift bridge, he crossed over to meet the other captain.
"Why did you collide with my ship?" asked Kakashi, knowing if he received an answer there's no telling if he'll be amused or displeased by it.
"Well, it seemed like your ship had resources we could use,' shrugged Iruka. "We're not pirates, but we're not pure sailors either."
"I see," noted Kakashi, unimpressed by the explanation he received. "Did you know one of my crew members have gone missing under the waves thanks to you?"
"Huh? No, I had no idea ," admitted Iruka, his face turning beat red at being told this tidbit. "Look, I'm sorry about what happened. I'll help look for him."
"That's not necessary," assured Kakashi. "I saw a few hours ago that Sakura, one of my crew, went underneath to search for him. I'll wait until her return to accept your help."
"Suit yourself," shrugged the brunette, glancing over at the silver haired male from the corner of his eye, somehow managing to go unnoticed by the other captain. "So, do you want to join forces?"
Kakashi raised a brow, "For what?"
"Well, I know you seem to be a capable captain," answered Iruka, wording what he spoke to the silverette carefully. "But there are some people you wouldn't want to encounter out here."
"Like you?" asked Kakashi bluntly, obviously suspicious of the captian who owned the ship that collided with him. "And you say that you ran into my ship for no reason?"
"Um, I didn't explain why," sweatdropped Iruka, thinking it over carefully before he camem up with a better reason. "Look, you know how the wakes are around here. They can be treacherous at times. Maybe that caused our ships to collide. If that's not it then I have no idea."
"Hmm, it's possible," mused Kakashi. "Well, until we figure it outI do need help finding my lost crew mate. If you don't mind assisting me in that endeavor then perhaps we can form an alliance. Will you agree to my terms?"

Panting lightly, Naruto hadn't expected Sasuke to be so rough. Then again, he had no idea what to expect from the raven haired prince. He didn't hold any regrets from the decision he's made. He didn't know if he'd exactly found happiness with Sasuke, but maybe in time he might think of him as a proper mate. A few strands of his golden locks were plastered agaisnt his forehead. Beads of sweat dripped down his revealed body. Sasuke hadn't wasted any time. Of coruse he had prepared his chosen partner, but he also wanted to tease Naruto a little bit. This had occurred a few hours ago. Naruto knew Sasuke wanted to have a round three. Naruto felt as if he withheld enough stamina for it. He did have a few questions because he didn't know exactly how mating and pregnancy worked amongst the merfolk.
"Wait," said Naruto, holding up a hand which caused Sasuke to pause in his action, choosing to sit beside him on their bed.
"What is it?" asked the ravenette, his eyes still half-lidded in thoughts of what other positions they could have some fun with if Naruto felt up for the task.
"You haven't used protection," pointed out Naruto, frowning slightly. "What happens if I get pregnant?"
"That's the point of this," stated Sasuke bluntly as if it were common sense. "Did you think we were doing this just for fun?"
Naruto shrugged, "Mabe… Still, I don't know how I feel about all of this."
Sighing, Sasuke wrapped an arm around him to hold Naruto close to him, "Relax, if things become an issue then we can see Anko. You know of the sea witch, correct?"
Naruto hesitantly nodded, "Um, yes I do know of her."
"Good," smirked Sasuke, leaning in to give the blonde a heated deep kiss, giving him a little tongue before pulling back to allow his mate to regain his breath. "Now, shall we continue or did you have other qualms I needed to reassure?"
"Will Pein and Madara accept having kids with me?" asked Naruto, knowing he might be trding into treacherous territory about voicing this question squarming his mind.
"What do you mean?" asked Sasuke suspiciously. "I'm a merman and so are you. I don't see what you have to be so nervous about."
"W-What if our genes don't match well?" asked Naruto as an excuse, inwardly sighing in relief that he managed to wipe the suspicion away from Sasuke for now.
Sasuke nibbled along Naruto's jaw tenderly, "Then it will be dealt with. There are ways around these types of things. Now, are you ready or would you prefer sleep?"
"Sleeping with you would be nice," blushed Naruto as he answered him.
"Hn, well there will be other times to fuck," mused Sasuke, drawing Naruto close to him before he pulled him down with him to lay beside him on their bed. "Rest for now. You'll need your strength."
A/N: Yays! Done with chappie seven! I'm sorry it's a short chappie. I'll try to make the next one longer to make up for it. I'm so terribly sorry for the long wait. Life has been a little insane recently, but I'm oks. I've been wanting to update this for ages now, but other stories require my attention as well.
