A/N: Hey y'all! It's Agami here like usual. Hehes, welcome back for the next chappie of Scared To Be Alone. Welp, this story took a turn I hadn't expected although I like it nonetheless. I think it works. Oks, so before we go back to the amazingness known as KakaNaru I will do a few scenes with other ships involved. That way there's some variety. Hopefully that sounds good with ya'll. Anyways, enough of me blathering on. I hope ya'll enjoy what happens this time. Please R&R!
Chapter 5: Relinquish
Gaara
It hadn't been my intention to be chased down by Akatsuki members today. Well, fortunately they haven't caught me yet. Sand whirled around me in a rage. Shukaku knows this is a flight or fight. No shit we're going to fight with tooth and nail until we're defeated. Apparently Neji had been fighting to get to me. What could the Hyuga possibly need to tell me at a time like this?
"They aren't after you for Shukaku," yelled Neji over the roar of the battle which caused me to halt in my tracks.
"What?" Is all I can say in response to that since I didn't expect it by a long shot.
"The Hyuga speaks the truth," stated Itachi simply within his calm demeanor.
"Why?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at him while the sand continued to whip around me in aggravated waves since I can tell Shukaku isn't pleased by this.
"You would be more of value alive than dead by the process," explained the Uchiha. "Naruto has already accepted the offer."
My brother has? We aren't by blood, but our bond is equivalent to it. Hopefully he'll be ok. I know he can fend for himself. He also has Kakashi with him. Relaxing just a smidge I thought this over. Shukaku seemed reluctant about it. I don't blame him for being that way. I am too with knowing what these people have done. How can I exactly trust them? But my boyfriend is telling me that they don't want me to be extracted...... Hmmm, this is perplexing.
"then what?" I snapped, glaring daggers at the Uchiha.
"come with us and you'll find out for yourself," snickered Kisame.
Having Neji been able to come up to stand beside me I flinched when feeling one of his hands on my shoulder. Frowning, he wondered if I'm ok. Giving him a reassuring look I just don't know how to process this. The Akatsuki don't want to extract Shukaku from me? What are their intentions then if tha'ts not the case? It confused me down to the core of what this could even possibly mean.
"So, are you going to accept or decline? You know what happens if you say no. I can promise you that Sharkskin would be pleased to dine on your chakra," warned Kisame, licking his lips in anticipation.
"Is the Hyuga allowed to come with me?" I asked, knowing I wouldn't budge unless my partner could accompany me to Ame with them.
"Hn, he can," reassured Itachi, seeing through it to understand what my condition is to agreeing to them.
"Good, I'll go then," the sand eventually settled, allowing only a few wisps to whirl once in a while lazily, hoping this isn't a huge mistake I'm making by agreeing to going with them.
"Everything will be alright," whispered Neji in my ear, gaining some reassurance from this.
Nodding, he and I departed to return to Rainfall with itachi and Kisame. Apparently their mission had been to collect us to return back to the main base. Once there, we're led to their leaders office. Hopefully this wouldn't last too long. I wanted to go see Naruto to make sure he's ok. Knowing that Hatake is with him does calm my nerves. The two would make a good couple if they're not together yet. Though it seems like they are by the signature I'm sensing coming from one of the rooms here. Inside of the office we're greeted by an old Uchiha along with his spiky orange haired partner.
"Good, you two succeeded," smirked Madara in a pleased manner, giving them the reward for managing to get us back here with little to no damage caused.
"Hn, we did," Itachi bowed, accepting the payment before he and his shark lover exited to go to their own room to cool down from the long trek back home.
"You two will be initiated into our ranks," Nagato told us, giving us the appointed rings for us along with cloaks of the same insignia as the rest of the organization's members.
"Now, you two can be dismissed," said Madara when all of the business had been sorted out, allowing us to leave the office.
Once in the hallway, I glanced around before taking Neji to where I can sense Naruto is located. Noticing my haste he can tell why I'm like this. His expression softened, knowing of my worry for the other jinchurriki. Approaching the room, I raised a hand to knock before walking inside. There I saw two little children with Naruto and Kakashi. Gaping, my jaw slackened in shock of seeing this. Recomposing myself, I gave a rare smile to the two.
"Gaara, oh, um, I didn't know you would be coming here," blushed Naruto in surprise.
"Nice to see you too, brother," I greeted, noticing he and the Silver Fang seemed to have formed a partnership of their own between them which is good. "How are you doing so far here? Kakashi's been good to you, right?"
"I love him so yes," smiled Naruto proudly, having one of Kakashi's arms around him as they had recently put the children on their cots to have them snooze for a while.
"Good," I'm glad to hear that things seemed to be going oh so well between them.
"We'll be seeing more of each other for now on."
A/N: Yays! Done with chappie five! I'm so sorry that it's been a long time since last this was updated. It's just been a little crazy with having to deal with some personal things in my life. Though things are getting better slowly yet surely. Hehes
