A/N: Hey ya'll! It's Kuro-kun here like usual. hehes, welcome back for the next chappie for Scared To be Alone. Capricorn and I are working on a new story together. So, while that's in the works I'll be ensuring I update this and my other stuff as regularly as I possibly can. Besides, I aim to please her and the rest of my lovely followers who still enjoy the content I put out on my page. Please enjoy and R&R!
Chapter 3: Whirlwind
Naruto
The past several months spending time with Kakashi has been the best time of my life so far. Yeah, being with Sasuke had been nice while it lasted until he had shown his true colors. Yet, being with the copycat nin felt oh so right for me. What I hope is that the Uchiha is happy with the Sanin. That's all I can do and wish them the best. But if Sasuke ever tries getting involved with my life or my kids I will not stand for it. During this time I have grown closer to the other man. Does he feel the same for me? He's supposed to arrive back from a mission later tonight. He had me move in with him at his house a little while after our first time together. It didn't bother me. This place is probably better suited for having children around than my shabby old apartment. Right now, I'm preparing some supper for us. I had opened a bottle of sake that I poured into two glasses. The meal I prepared is a salad with a cheesy pasta dish and for dessert some cake. Hey, don't judge me.... The last thing had been kind of a craving thing.... Hopefully he'll like it including what I plan to confess to him.
Hearing the puff of smoke occur outside the door I prepared plates before setting them on the table along with the two glasses. When he walked in he stood there to be met with a pleasant surprise. Turning to face him, I gave a sheepish smile. Tilting his head to the side, he waited for me to speak first. Taking off his shoes, he then approached me until our faces are mere inches apart.
"You didn't have to do all of this, but thanks," he said softly, worry flickering in his onyx orbs. "You need to be careful."
"I didn't strain myself," I scowled, but appreciated his concern. "I thought it would be nice for you to return to a hot meal after a mission. There's also something I need to talk to you about."
Cupping my cheeks in his hands, he studied my face as if searching for something as he asked, "What would that be?"
"Um, we've been living together for a while and getting closer to each other. I've felt this way for you for a long time," I explained to him after mustering up my courage thanks to a little reminder from Kurama that everything would be ok. "Kakashi.....I love you."
Closing my eyes, I braced myself in case there's any rejection. What I didn't expect is feeling his lips against mine. Opening my eyes I saw him smirking lightly. It caused me to have heat rise to my cheeks to turn them a light shade of pastel pink. Relaxing, I can tell there wouldn't be any rejection here. That reaction along with the look in his gaze he's throwing my way reassures me more than words ever could.
"I love you too, Naruto. I always have," admitted Kakashi softly.
Everything felt like it had finally come together in that moment. Nothing could go wrong, right? Then there's a knock at the door that breaks the joyful moment. Who could it be? Reluctantly moving away from the warmth of Kakashi I went to the door. Over the time that's passed I've grown a little plump. It's near the due date. Reaching out to open the door I immediately paled at who stands there dressed all in black and crimson. No, no, no....this can't happen.... Not now... Oh please Kami, why do you hate me?
"Hello, Naruto. It's been a while, hasn't it? Did you miss me?"

Kakashi
Standing in the living room I had caught what had been said. Stiffening, I grabbed a kunai from my pouch before heading over to where Naruto stands. No, I should let him handle this. But I'll remain close by in case he needs assistance. Laying the hand that doesn't have a weapon in it on his shoulder gave him the signal that I'm here if he needs or wants me. Wondering why this had to happen now at this very moment caused me to think the gods aren't exactly in our favor today. We'll get through this.
"No, I haven't," replied Naruto icily, shoulders tense in case he needed to fight him. "Why are you here? You're the one who bailed out on me."
"Stay calm," I whispered in his ear, knowing the stress won't do him any good at this time when it could happen at any moment so close to the precise day.
"Really?" Challenged Sasuke with his eyes turning to his bloodline.
Drawing strength from Kurama, he glared daggers at him, "Watch it, Uchiha. I did miss you for a short time after you left, but I love someone else now. Can you accept that or is your ego too big?"
Narrowing his eyes at him slightly the other male responded with, "We'll see. We're not done here."
"Yes, we are," growled Naruto before slamming the door in his face and locking it to then slump against it before grimacing in pain.
"Are you ok?" I asked worriedly, kneeling down to help him up onto his feet.
"I think seeing him again and using some of Kurama's chakra jumpstarted it," winced Naruto.
"Come on. I'll take you to the hospital and Sakura will make sure nothing will go wrong."

Sakura
Receiving the message from Kakashi-sensei I prepared a room for Naruto. Frowning, I wonder why Sasuke did such a stupid thing. Why doesn't he get it through his thick skull that he's not a part of Naruto's life anymore? Sighing, I finished preparing the room along with ensuring I'm ready to do this as well. Waiting for them to arrive I thought about what Kakashi told me that happened. No, there's no need for me to worry about it. Besides, there are other things on my mind as well. Ino had told me she wanted me over tonight. She said there would be a surprise. Hmm, I wonder what that could be. We've been together for a long time now. She and I love each other deeply even though we do butt heads often. It's in a good naturally way. Casting those thoughts away for now I heard the two males approach I opened the door for Kakashi to place Naruto on the bed. Placing my hands on his abdomen I instructed him what to do we began.
A couple of hours later, Naruto lies there in a panting mess. It had gone well without any complications. That's fortunate knowing what's sealed inside of him. What had come out is two babies. They're twins. One is a boy and the other is a girl. Wiping them off after cutting the cord I bundled them in soft blankets before handing the two to the blonde for him to hold. Seeing him clutching his newborn babies gently against him he looked down with a soft smile.
"Hey there," greeted the blonde to them. "Welcome to the world."
"What should we name them?" Asked Kakashi, sitting in a chair beside the bed.
"Obito and Kushina. I think that'll be fitting, don't you think?" Replied Naruto after a few moments of thought. "He looks just like how you described Obito to me."
"True," murmured Kakashi in agreement. "Besides, for the girl it's a beautiful name."
"I'm happy for you both. Naruto should be able to leave the hospital whenever he's ready," I told them while putting up the things I had needed out for the process. "I'm sure you'll both be great parents."
"I sure hope so," said Naruto wistfully, grinning at his lover before standing up to allow Kakashi to hold baby Obito while Naruto carries their baby girl.
Watching them leave I hope everything goes well for them. I also hope that Sasuke learns to leave them alone. Now that I think about it maybe I should go talk to Lady Tsunade before I have to head over to Ino's. Yes, that'll be what I'll do. She probably will have a solution to help solve the Uchiha problem. I've also heard some rumors about the Akatsuki are near Konoha. Let's just hope they aren't coming here now for Naruto.

Naruto
Walking out of the hospital with the help of my boyfriend we went back to the house we share. Getting out the crib I laid Kushina down before Kakashi placed Obito down beside her. They look so peaceful; especially asleep. Am I really the best suited for parenthood? No thoughts of doubt here. Nope, none of that. I have Kakashi by my side after all. He'll help me with all of this. Besides, we'll figure out something to fix the problem with Sasuke. Maybe we should lay out some traps or something.... Then again I don't know how effective that would be. Yawning, I feel so fatigued. Trusting Kakashi to guard over us while we rest gives a great deal of reassurance. I do the same for him of course.
"Go lie down for a bit," suggested Kakashi, getting out a few blankets before handing them to me.
"Thanks," I kissed his cheek lightly before going to take a nap.
I need to tell you something kit before you go to rest, piped up Kurama that brought me to attention while I hunkered down for a nap to lie down on my back curled up underneath the blanket I had been given.
What's up? I asked them, wondering if everything is ok or they've noticed something I had been unaware of.
The Akatsuki are near Konoha. They're most likely looking for us or Gaara. No one told you this, but I thought it best to warn you. Be on your guard if they are after us or your cubs. Most likely it'll be all of those reasons, warned Kurama before they fell silent again.
Ugh, today has been a long one.... Well, I can't get a break I guess. Allowing sleep to drift me away there had been one last thought remaining in the vestiges of my mind.
What do the Akatsuki want with us?
A/N: Yays! Done with chappie three! hehes, hopefully ya'll enjoyed that since it had a lot of angst and some adorableness involved. It'll be interesting for whatever else is going to pop up in the near future of this story. Hehes, well I can assure you next time will be rather interesting.
