Chapter 3: Stagger
After finding out what exactly happened to Naruto the team had been offered to stay at the hideout. The location couldn't be reported back to Tsunade after all. Orochimaru would kill anyone who revealed the location of the main hideout along with any of the others. So, the only option is to keep them there. It would serve his mate a better purpose as well. It meant that the team would be able to come to grips with Naruto's bond to the Otokage. It also meant that things could flourish between the others as well.
At the moment Kakashi had been thinking about the last few conversations that occured. So much happened during them. Sighing, he wondered if he along with the others will be able to understand Naruto's entanglement with Orochimaru. None of them except maybe Kakashi can comprehend what the blonde sees in him. What the son of the White Fang thought is that Orochimaru can give Naruto what he has always wanted and deserved. Knowing that he nor anyone else could make him truly feel like he's part of something does sadden him. Kakashi wished he could've done better as his sensei. If only he did then maybe none of this would've ever happened. Then again no one can control who someone loves even if they try to help the other person stay on the right path.
Hearing a knock on the door of the room he had been provided with, Kakashi got up to see who it is. Opening the door there is Sasuke standing there. Raising a brow, Kakashi wondered what he wanted. Clearly it's of importance to wake him at such an hour. Waiting, he wondered what Sasuke's intentions truly are. There are a few suggestions that come to mind. None of them seem like a solid reason.
"Did you need something from me?" Asked Kakashi, remaining patient.
"Yes, I wanted to. Can I come in?" He asked before the other male stepped aside to allow him entrance.
Moving back to his bed, Kakashi sat there, "So, what did you need to talk to me about exactly?"
"You see," began the Uchiha to explain. "I didn't think this would be the right place to tell you."
"Tell me what?" Pressed Kakashi to know.
"That I'm attracted to you."

Meanwhile, in the other room, Sakura and Hinata had finally confessed their feelings to each other. They had opted to share a room and bed together. While they moved slow with their relationship the passion is palpable between them. There's definitely some chemistry blossoming between the two kunoichi. What neither of them knew is that there is someone or something watching them all from the shadows. That entity would be relaying information back to an infamous organization.
"D-Do y-you know if N-Naruto will be alright?" Asked the Hyuga, laying within her girlfriend's warm embrace.
"Yeah, I'm sure he'll be fine," Sakura reassured her, placing a gentle kiss on Hinata's shoulder. "We would try to get some rest though."
"W-Why?" Pouted Hinata.
"Because we'll have a tough training session tomorrow, love. Don't worry....I'll show you a few new tricks."

Within the walls of Amegakure is where the Akatsuki base is located. The individual relaying information is none other than Zetsu. Arriving at the office they told their leader what they had gleaned of the situation in Otogakure. Pain didn't seem impressed by this tidbit of news. It did mean that plans would be changed accordingly. Originally they had been planning to capture the Nine Tails to extract. Knowing that he's now married to one of their former members means that he too has joined their band of misfits.
"I want Itachi and Deidara to be sent there. They are to collect Orochimaru and Naruto to bring them here," ordered Pain, noticing Zetsu nod before they departed to tell the duo their mission.
"Did you expect this to happen?" Asked Nagato, unsure of how to feel about it.
"Yes," answered Pain simply. "Madara told me a while back this would eventually come to pass. I'm pleased he managed to find someone. It'll be better to have him and the fox within our ranks."
"They will prove more valuable," said the elder Uchiha in a pleased manner.
Things are about to become more interesting within the Five Nations. When the duo are informed of their mission they head out immediately. Itachi and Deidara could be considered as an odd pair. Yet, their clashing personalities seemed to work out for the best. Hopping onto the bird behind the blonde they set off for Otogakure. When they arrived the two headed straight for the base where they sensed the chakra signatures of their targets. Heading inside they would be met with whatever comes their way. No matter what they will deal with it as they see fit.
"Hmmm, I didn't expect you to arrive so soon," murmured the silky voice of Orochimaru, standing there with Naruto behind him.
"Leader-sama wants us to bring you and him back with us, hmph," explained the blonde artist.
"Indeed he does along with the other shinobi here you have put up for board," added Itachi, knowing this would please their leader greatly if they managed to succeed in their endeavors.
Considering this for a few moments, Orochimaru weighed his options. Knowing that refusal meant death didn't bode well with him. Besides, he wanted to be with Naruto along with their drakes instead of missing out. Nodding once, He stepped aside to pick his husband up into his arms. Carrying him out bridal style he instructed Kabuto to get Kakashi and the others. They would be accompanying them back to Amegakure.
Ugh, well, this is just peachy. I didn't expect to be brought to my enemies on a silver platter. Hopefully my mate knows what he's doing. Because if the Akatsuki want to extract Kurama they'll do it over my cold dead body, thought Naruto brashly.
I'll be alright, kit. You need to worry about yourself, chided Kurama. From my understanding there's no telling if their plans have changed. Hang in there, Naruto. Remain strong and don't give up hope.
I won't. Like I told you they won't extract you if I can help stop it from happening. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
