A/N: Hey ya'll! It's Kuro-kun here like usual. Hehes, welcome back for the next chappie of Scared To Be Alone. Like I said last time I'll be switching back and forth between a few characters to show what happens with them during Naruto's journey. Hopefully ya'll will like it along with where I'm going with this. This is something I haven't done before so it's a fun challenge for me. Anyways, enough of me blathering on. Please enjoy and R&R!
Chapter 2: Halo
Sasuke
Why should I care that I left him? Yes, I did bail out like a little bitch, but for a good reason. Knowing I somehow made someone pregnant doesn't bother me. It just means the Uchiha clan will be revived sooner than expected. Knowing my older brother doesn't approve of my choices doesn't perturb me. It's nothing unusual for him to judge me behind his reassurance that he'll always be there for me. Well, at least I left him for my real lover. Yes, our coupling is strange by most people. For me it just feels oh so right that I don't want to be wrong. Hearing him slithering up behind me I hadn't expected him to come find me while I had been brooding.
"Why do you still think about him, Sasuke?" Hissed Orochimaru, knowing he wouldn't be pleased with being able to pick up on what I had been thinking. "You have me after all."
"And there's nothing else I need or want," I smirked in response. "The past can't easily be erased. It still haunts me to this very day with what I've done."
"Indeed it does," agreed the Sanin grimly, wrapping an arm around me to hold me close against him. "Perhaps there should be something done instead of brooding all day. If you keep this up you'll turn into your older brother in no time."
Wrinkling my nose in disgust I replied, "Yes, you're right. I would hate for that to happen. I'll try to not do it as much, ok?"
"Good, you better," murmured the obsidian haired male, releasing me from his grasp although one of his serpents went to coil around my arm to look at me as if expecting something.
Petting its head gently it seemed pleased by that. I also gave it a dead mouse I found. I know his snakes prefer live prey, but I haven't found any live mice here lately. It accepted the morsel anyways. These creatures are interesting beings nonetheless. Some would say that snakes are creepy or have a depiction that says you're not pure or whatever. I honestly don't give a damn about it. These scaley beings fascinate me to a high degree. Part of my training under his watchful guidance has been to master using, taming, and summoning them. So far I haven't had any issues. The next step would be learning some of his techniques in combat. But training would come later in the day near the late afternoon when the sun begins to descend underneath the horizon. It usually isn't during nightfall, but once in a while it is depending on what he has planned for me.
"Let's see if you still have it in you, Uchiha. If you don't then we'll continue that....special type of training I had put you through previously.... Now, hopefully I can blow your mind away to not think of the past for a couple of hours..."

Kakashi
After the check up with Sakura I followed Naruto back to his apartment. It's a shabby one although it seems to do him well for what he requires. What I worry about is if it'll be the right environment for kids when they're born. Naruto allowed me inside again. It's good to see that he appreciates my company. Of course I wouldn't stick around for too long. There are missions that need to be completed and all....along with the new edition of Icha Icha Paradise to read.... Damn, I really want to read that book.... Why does Jiraiya always publish at the worst times where I won't have much on hand to enjoy it? Ugh, I swear that old man just wants to be a teaser or something at times.
"Will you be ok?" I asked him, breaking the silence that had fallen between us. "I could stay here if you'd like."
"I don't really want to be alone, but I know you have stuff you need to do," replied Naruto as he understand the duties a shinobi must attend to no matter what other things pop up unexpectedly in their lives.
"I'll be here until I have to go and then come back when I return. How does that sound?" I suggested to him.
"Perfect," replied Naruto, giving me a genuine smile which he rarely does after what happened with Sasuke.
Deciding to settle down on the couch again, I patted beside me to silently ask for him to join me. Nodding, the blonde went over to plop down beside me. Carefully I placed an arm around him to hold him close against me. Stiffening at first he eventually relaxed against me to lay his head on my shoulder. Naruto has been through so much throughout the years. I wonder how he handles it all. It must be hard on him with the life he's had to deal with after the death of Minato-sensei and Kushina. Their memory still lives on. I've told him some stories of how his parents were. Unbeknownst to me I have a now snoring blonde curled up against me. Well, this might be trickier than expected to slip away when I need to in order to accomplish the solo mission that Lady Tsunade trusted me to complete. Meh, I'll figure it out when the time comes for me to depart. Until then I'll keep watch over him.
"I promised your father I would always protect you. So far I've managed to keep it. If Sasuke ever does show his face again around here I'll be here with you. You won't have to be alone any longer."
A/N: Yays! Done with chappie two! Hehes, hopefully ya'll are king this so far. From what I notice as I write it there's a sufficient amount of angst and adorableness in the mix. Hehes, oh the plans I have for this lovely piece of doom of mine. Then again I have it for anything I work on. Hopefully ya'll enjoyed this chappie. The next one will be out shortly.
