I had a blast reading what you have so far! I will definitely be checking this fic every so often to see if there are updates. I keep up with favorite fics even if continuations are posted years later, so know that no matter what you will always have readers.

You know, I'd kind of forgotten about aff.net. Then I come back and the first thing I find is this gem of a story. I really enjoyed reading so far and look forward to the next chapter. I love the details and the building of the plot. I also generally prefer a competent, strong Iruka, as well, so that's a bonus.

I just stumbled across your story the other day and it took me a little while to read it between work and helping my son with his homework. I'm loving it! With every chapter I experience such a broad range of emotion, tears for Kakashi and Iruka's pasts, happiness that Iruka found Kakashi, humor (more like laughing my ass off) with the interaction of the dogs and Iruka, an adrenaline rush every time the enemy comes close to the hut, and curiosity about Ryuu. I can NOT wait for your next update. I look forward to how things will unravel, and hope for a happy ending (plus more smut - Wink- ).
