I look forward to each chapter of this story being posted. Chapter 11 was excellent. I like how Sasuke's self-destructive tendencies are there but, so far, haven't caused irredeemable damage. I like how he and Itachi are alike enough to say things that they don't mean when they are angry but love each other enough to try and make things right again, even though those words come so much less easily. I like how Naruto helped Sasuke by reminding him that he did not mean what he said and therefore that the same was probably true of Itachi. I am frightened because I can imagine a judge saying to Itachi, "You hit him?" or "You did not know that an underage runaway was living in your house?" and that leading to Sasuke being taken away. A reader only starts worrying about the characters when a story is delightfully real.

I'm glad that Sasuke won't be stealing anymore. That was like a weakness that didn't quite fit. I liked the interaction between Sasuke and Itachi too. Having his brother and Naruto find out has to be the worst punishment and I think that will keep him from ever doing it again. He doesn't want to disappoint Itachi but Naruto also showed how honest he was when he did not keep that man's wallet so he wouldn't want Naruto to think less of him either. I'm glad Naruto was there to comfort Sasuke... he really needed that.

I feel that all this growing attraction, flirting, tension or whatever, one-sided or not, will come to no good. Naruto started to *feel*, associate Sasuke with something good. With his confessions, it will lay Naruto even more vulnerable and force him to eventually leave Sasuke. But I really enjoyed their conversation in the shower! Direct to the point of indecency, still so innocent. Openneness, innocent and provocative. Love it in him.
Naruto's helpless teasing and attempts at humour are really touching. Maybe it'd be better not to find out anything that would lay him even more vulnerable?...
Sasuke's exploring the boundaries of their friendship is also very interesting. Will Naruto make a move on him? What will Sasuke do? He's definitely not ready to accept or reject whatever the boy feels for him. One step - and Naruto is in the streets again.
At least Sasuke was honest not to promise anything more than a temporary shelter.
Is Naruto really so *unfamiliar* with the situation? He'd been moving in a few times before, and Sasuke's home isn't a palace.
Will that Jiraya make an appearance? How did Sasuke manage to keep his room tidy, really? : ))
Naruto "had had worse". What could it possibly mean?
Oh, and Itachi and Sasuke's realtionship is one more nice aspect of the story. I like them together.
Really like it all and can't wait to read more. Keep telling it with a touch of irony, it just emphasizes the seriousness of Naruto's "doing just fine" situation.

I really like this story. I can't wait to hear both Naruto's and Sasuke's backgrounds! And I wonder what will happen when Itachi finds out they have a homeless guy living in their house? Will the others from school find out? Will this budding SOMETHING bloom into more? I'm waiting, with popcorn!

I read this alternately between here and ff.net. I was curious when I came across the summary and sorry that I waited until I caught up to the last chapter to leave a comment. This is a pretty interesting concept, not the usual highschool!au's I've read. I also love how you reveal details about the boy's backgrounds gradually and still leave questions left unanswered. I love how natural the dynamic between Sasuke and Naruto is and not forced.

They are SO going to get caught. They very nearly got caught after being at Sasuke's house for just a few hours. Itachi isn't around much, but he's smart, and no matter how neat and quiet Naruto tries to be, there will always be signs of a different person being in the house, like the bread having been put back into the refrigerator in a strange way, or a piece of Naruto's laundry getting mixed in with Sasuke's, or a million other little telltale signs that Itachi will start picking up on, even if he doesn't initially put all the pieces together. Or maybe it won't even come down to anything as subtle as that; Naruto could fall asleep on the couch one day and Itachi could unexpectedly come home early and find him like that. Either way, they better start having the difficult discussions about what happens next very soon; otherwise, the situation will be taken out of their hands once Itachi finds out...

Yay, Sasuke is helping Naruto get off the streets. :) I'm happy for them both, but it won't work out as easily as Sasuke would like it to. Itachi will eventually notice and then where will Naruto go? But still, it's a good first step. Maybe staying with Sasuke for a little bit will help remind Naruto what having a roof over his head felt like. And maybe that will make it easier to talk him into looking for a more permanent solution to his homelessness instead of continuing to stay on the streets. Can't wait for the next update!

Aw... that was really nice. I always like friendship stuff with them--even more than sexy timez, actually. (PWP is a dime a dozen, but when they have a real bond, I'm always reminded of why I liked this couple in the first place.) And they were comfortable enough with each other that other people thought they were dating. :) I also liked the hints about Naruto's past in this chapter. I hope Sasuke eventually asks him about some of the stuff he let drop (his ex-boyfriend, the tough year Naruto says he had, and even about his face). Can't wait for the next chapter!

Your story struck me as light, well-developed, not rushed and quite natural. Its plot may not seem *very* original, but it's not that often that we can see a non-preaching-peace-and-love-forgiveness Naruto, who's not aggressively intruding into Sasuke's life, and a quite adequate, not excessively moody or bllodthirsty Sasuke. They may both be lost and wandering, but they seem real, warm and alive.
    Hope it'll continue this way.
I wonder why Naruto doesn't try to occupy himself in some way.. he may not have documents or education, but there's always a way. Does he have any friends, fellow hobos or something? I just can't imagine a guy like him doing nothing begging for some money.. and he has a way with people, so...?

All the best and good luck with your writing!

Aw, poor Naruto :( My heart bleeds for him. But no matter how hard life gets, he always tries to have a positive and sunny attitude. I'm glad Sasuke is warming up to him. Naruto deserves some love.
