The Raven and the Kitten
Chapter One Crush
I had lived in Konoha all my life, I became a Genin at the age of three and by the age of fifteen was an Anbu black op working under my best friend's elder brother and crush, Itachi Uchiha. Sasuke was a chuniun who trained with the other black ops, Obito and Shisui Uchiha. We were all a four man squad, itachi had taken Sasuke under his wing by my request because I knew Sasuke had a crush on me too but held back for my happiness.
Chapter Two Mission
"Suki let me in!" I tried to ignore the pounding that that penetrated my dream but gave up as it continued; I sprang up from my bed and opened my bedroom window. "Itachi what the?" I asked in surprise upon seeing my crush covered in blood and dirt come in. "Suki I did something wrong very wrong!" I led Itachi to my bed and sat him down rubbing his back. "What happened?" "I killed my entire clan except for Sasuke." Itachi burst out and started sobbing into my shoulder. I blushed and tried to comfort my crush. I was shocked that Konoha had ordered him to do that.
Chapter Three Akatsuki
Later that night we abandoned the village, by dawn we had reached the base of the Akatsuki. I entered behind Itachi into a black base with red clouds dotted around the walls; the floor was polished black hardwood. We entered the great hall where Itachi went to the leader, "hey my name's Sasori, what's yours?' I blushed a light rose and introduced myself, "name's Suzi who's that?" I gestured to a blonde and a violet haired woman. Sasori laughed, "that's Deidara and Konan come I'll introduce you." smiling at him I allowed Sasori to tow me over to the two who I chatted with for the rest of the night until Itachi came for me that is.
Chapter Four Training
A few months later I was being tutored by Itachi, Sasori and Deidara. Sasori and Deidara were teaching me healing, clay bomb making and puppet making while itachi was allowed to teach everything else. It was during his tough training sessions that I learned how coldhearted Itachi Uchiha had become. "Sasori may I ask you something?" The redhead rolled over lazily giving me his attention, "yeah Suzi?" "How did Itachi become the way he is?" Sasori chuckled, "that's what killing does to people Suzi plus he had to lock up his emotions toward his clan but he couldn't kill Kisuke or Sasuke I've heard." I nodded and kept silent thinking.
Chapter Five Drifting Apart
That night I tried to talk with Itachi, "hey Uchiha can I talk with you for a minute in private?" said form nodded and led me to his room closing the door. "Yeah?" I took a deep breath, "tell me about the mission, what where why how tell me everything!" itachi gazed at me for a moment before replying to my plea, "no." he walked over to the bed where I sat, "Suzi please understand I love you and am trying to protect you." cupping my chin he engaged me in a passionate but sorrowful kiss which made me truly understand it was over.
Chapter Six Memories
After Itachi had long fallen asleep I lay awake, lost in the depths of my own mind. I now thought of Sasuke and knew I had lost something very precious. I thought also of Shisui and Naruto along with Obito. I had thrown everything away for a man who had lost himself to ice and darkness. So there on my mattress for the first time in months I cried quietly, allowing all the pain I had been through out through my tears. It was only in the early hours of the morning that I stopped eyes swollen puffy and panting hard.
Chapter Seven Leaving
When I rose that morning the choice had been made, I was leaving. I rose early as usual and packed my things, "Itachi I have to go home." "I understand Suzi." He said as he rose from the bed. Itachi hugged me around the waist, kissed my neck and whispered, " Good luck Kitten." I smiled and nodded going to say goodbye to Sasori and Deidara. It was they who led me out the base. I hugged them both hard and promised to come visit in the near future before setting out at a hard sprint. I was sorry to have broken up with Itachi and hoped he had a great life but knew his training had served me extremely well. I was now a very well trained ninja and I hope Sasuke would take me back.
