Fox of Water

Naruto is born with an unusual ability to manipulate water. His power of water is used to bind the Kyuubi. Konoha is not known for its water ninjutsu so Naruto is sent to the village hidden in the mists to learn…

Chapter 1 Sealing Water

Naruto age 9 was sitting on the river facing against the current. "Water is patient, Water is Steady, Water is Gentle…" Naruto spoke this over and over like a mantra.

His eyes closed and he allowed the sound of the river to help guide him into his mind. There he reached out and entered the seal where the Kyuubi lay.

"So my jailer has come to see me how nice…"

"No need for the attitude Kyuubi, I have done you no wrong…" Naruto said no fear in his voice. He had known about the Kyuubi for a long time ever since his first swim, beneath the water her heard and felt another presence and it didn't take Naruto long to figure it out.

"You keep me imprisoned here that is the wrong you bear…"

"No it is your own rage that keeps you bound if you would let it go, I would free you…"

"Ha do not make me laugh! You wouldn't free me no matter what save your lies human…" Kyuubi barked out. Naruto reached for the seal and tore it off. The cage doors vanished and the Kyuubi smirked. "You fool you die and your body is mine!"

Naruto's body became water and Kyuubi tore right through him. Water flooded into the room and Naruto merged with that water and slowly contained the Kyuubi in a massive ocean of water. Naruto stood above the newly formed ocean. "I will be patient Kyuubi, cause like the water I can wait. I will let this ocean cleanse you of this hate…"

Kyuubi glared and roared in vain. The ocean began to bubble from the heat of Kyuubi's rage. He looked down at the contained Kyuubi. "So sorry Kyuubi…"

"Ocean Soul Sealing!" Naruto cast and a massive seal formed over the surface of the water. Kyuubi's eyes closed. 'You clever brat damn you…'

"Rest now Kyuubi I will wait for the day you will fight with me…"

Naruto opened his eyes and he returned to the world outside his mind. He got off the river and felt the Kyuubi's power ripple through him. 'I won't be able to control it without some training…'

Naruto walked along the river and headed back towards the village. "Good it's going to rain soon…" Naruto said looking up at the clear cloudless sky. Naruto knew his stuff and by the time he got to the village it began to down pour.

Naruto basked in the rain and waited a bit before heading to the Hokage's office. "Hey old man I need a favor…"

"What is it Naruto-kun…?" The 3rd asked.

"I wish to be transferred to the village hidden in the mists…"

Sarutobi dropped the paperwork he was holding and the papers scattered about as Sarutobi looked at Naruto in shock. "Naruto you can't be serious…"

"I am, in this village I will not get the training I need, I am hated here no matter my father's decree." Naruto noticed the 3rd's shocked look. "I figured out after meeting the Kyuubi, I have placed my own seal on him, so he wont be any trouble but that won't hold back the fear, I need a place to get stronger…"

Sarutobi sighed. "I will call the Mizukage…Are you sure about this Naruto?"

"Yes I need to get stronger, I do wish to protect this village, but I am not strong enough to protect myself yet, there are many ninja who lost love ones, and they would want to be rid of me…you can't always be there…"

Sarutobi made the preparations. The new Mizukage was willing to take Naruto on, as a way of making a bond with Konoha. Ao was asked to retrieve Naruto and train him, Chojuro would be his teammate until he attained his title as swordsman.

"To think we are getting an Uzumaki, if only temporary, such a strong family name, under the hands of the Mist will be great…" Chojuro said a slight smile on his face.

"Hmm in the old days we would have never even thought of allowing outsiders to be trained by us, this kid better be worth something…" Ao said.
