Kushina was one of Orochimaru's students, and she left something for Naruto behind 2 snake eggs that would feed on Naruto's chakra, and when hatched they would be loyal only to him, they would even fight Manda if they had to in order to protect Naruto. Azaspa and Bokon are Naruto's snake familiars.

Chap 1 The Beggining

Kushina was on the same team with Anko when Orochimaru betrayed the village. Kushina was one of Orochimaru's promising students, she created a way to make nin snakes. Snakes that could talk and fight on the same or higher level than nin dogs. Orochimaru wanted the research but Kushina had hidden it well. Even after his betrayal he saw Kushina as a rare prize.

The female Uzumaki kept her material close to home, it wasn't long after the betrayal of her sensei she met her love Minato and had a son. She was a jinchuuriki and giving birth caused the seal to weaken and the Kyuubi to escape. She wasn't strong enough to take the Kyuubi back in her. Her and Minato worked together and sealed the Kyuubi into their son.

"Kushina will he really be safe…?" Minato asked as he held his wife. "Yes because he won't be alone…" Kushina sat 2 eggs next her son, along with a note to Anko. "These snakes will protect are son, and will help him grow strong, and Anko will be able to help with my research…"

Minato ruffled his son's hair. "Grow strong son…"

Kushina cried. "Good bye my sweet boy…" Kushina kissed his forehead. Minato performed the seal and the Kyuubi was sealed inside their only son. Naruto cried as his parents fell dead.

Sarutobi arrived on the scene some time later. The 2 eggs had hatched and there were 2 snakes coiled around Naruto's body. One was a dark blue snake with an orange stripe down its body. The other was a bright yellow with a row of blue spots running down its back. The snakes hissed at Sarutobi. "Wait Lord Hokage…" Anko said appearing next to the elder man. "I can sense the boy's chakra circulating in the snakes…"

The two stared at the boy and one of the snakes grabbed the note and held it up to them. "Oh thank you…" Sarutobi said and the snake bowed its head. The note was addressed to Anko. Anko read over the note and frowned. "These snakes are nin snakes that have absorbed Naruto's chakra to hatch. She says not to try and part them, and they won't bring Naruto harm…" She looked over the note some more. "She asks me to raise him, and teach him to become a ninja…"

"Are you gonna honor her wishes…" Sarutobi asked. Anko cried as she re read the note. "Yes I will…" The two snakes allowed Anko to pick Naruto up, Anko followed the instructions left to her in the note, and found a secret underground base of Kushina's design. There were rooms for training and sparring, a luxurious bathroom, a kitchen, and a bed room for both Anko and the new born child. Also there was a vault containing the notes that Orochimaru so desperately wanted. "Well little one guess this is our home… you mother was truly a clever woman…" Anko said. "Ok little man, I may not be your mother but I am a top class nin the training will be long and hard but you will grow to appreciate it…" Anko said loudly which caused Naruto to start crying. "Oh crap umm there there…" Anko said but Naruto continued to wail. "Kushina give me strength…" Anko said as she dealt with the infant boy.

Time flowed and Anko got threw the rough patch, she cared for Naruto not just as a student but as a son, but then that didn't stop her from kicking his but when they sparred. Naruto named the blue snake Azaspa, the snake along with Naruto's wind chakra gained earth chakra as well as a strong paralysis venom. The yellow snake Naruto named Bokon along with Naruto's wind chakra it gained its own water chakra, and its venom worked well with a numbing/sleep effect. Naruto's snakes could transform into yo-yos without strings. Naruto could create chakra strings and use the yo-yos well. Naruto also stored poison needles inside them, each yo-yo held that snakes venom.

Anko was impressed with the level of control and unity the three had. Because the snakes held Naruto's chakra they could fuse with him, becoming snake like tatoo's on his arms and allowed him access to their chakra element. Over time Anko had never once ventured into the vault not wanting to disturb Kushina's work.

It was Anko who told Naruto the truth about the Kyuubi. It went better than expected in fact Naruto worked even harder he swore to never use the Kyuubi's power. He would use his own power and become a great ninja. Anko was so proud. Naruto started the academy but was unable to make friends but that was mostly because of the parent's hatred spilling through to the next generation, but Naruto kept smiling never showing how upset he was about it.

Anko did fear the day when Naruto would be recognized and some little brat would try to take him away. She was proud of Naruto in another way, he was a big a perv as she was… 'God have mercy on the boy who thinks they can tame him…'
