Chap 1 The blonde Uchiha

The third hokage carried the small bundle. He carried the new born Naruto, the new vessel for the 9 tailed fox through the streets and towards the Uchiha district. "Lord Hokage…" He was greeted by Mikoto and Fugaku Uchiha. Mikoto saw the young babe and she quickly rushed forward. "Kushina's son, but where is Kushina…?"

Sarutobi held a solemn look on his face and Mikoto cried, the sudden noise stirring the young infant. "Oh shush there there…" Mikoto took the babe from the 3rd Hokage. She rocked him and eased him back to sleep. "The nine tails is sealed inside him isn't it?" Fugaku spoke stepping forward. "Why have you brought him here?"

"Fugaku!" Mikoto snapped. Sarutobi sighed. "I had hoped as Kushina's friend you would be willing to raise him."

"Yes of course I would…" Mikoto spoke happily staring down at the child. "Mikoto!" Fugaku snapped and stepped up to her. "I don't want that dangerous thing near our children…"

"I would watch what you say Fugaku…" Sarutobi warned. "The 4th sacrificed his son to save the village, and in the same stroke your family…" Fugaku held his tongue and stared at the blonde boy.

"Very well, but when he comes with us he will not carry the name Uchiha, he can keep his mother's name…" Fugaku spoke and walked away from his wife and the child. Mikoto gave a bow to Sarutobi and followed after her husband.

Fugaku wouldn't show any sign of Naruto's existence if Naruto cried he would just put him where he wouldn't have to hear him, but Mikoto treated him as family, took care of him. Itachi saw Naruto as a little ball of sunshine, when he laughed it made the whole room light up. Sasuke grew to see Naruto as his confidant as the two grew up together Sasuke confided in Naruto, things he never even told Itachi, and he loved to boast about being 4 months older.

-8 years-

Young Naruto and Sasuke were sparring, Itachi watching over them while Fugaku was off dealing with clan matters. "Ok boys enough sparring boys I brought a snack…" She brought out a plate with rice balls on it. "Mom come on Naruto and I are training we don't need…" He looked over at his sparring partner who was already gone.

"Yay snacks…" Naruto said and took a rice ball. "Dobe…" Sasuke mumbled and went to get a rice ball of his own. Mikoto left the boys with the snacks, Sasuke and Naruto always said they wanted to surprise her with how strong they've gotten, and they couldn't do that if she watched them train.

Itachi smiled at the two boys, but his smile turned sour as he felt another presence. A kunai went flying from a tree and it flew straight at Naruto. Itachi cursed and quickly caught the kunai and quickly threw it back, before anyone could see the attack attempt. Naruto looked at him while munching on his rice ball. "Big Brother Itachi…?"

"Why do you always call him big brother, and not me?" Sasuke spoke poking Naruto's whisker scarred cheek. "Because Sasuke is little and Itachi is big…"

"Baka…" Sasuke grumbled and took another rice ball. Itachi was on edge from that point on. There were more and more attempts on Naruto's life, whoever it was, was very skilled at masking their chakra and presence. Itachi did not want to worry his mother or Sasuke. Itachi put all his skills into watching over both his little brothers, and he considered Naruto his sibling.

Naruto and Sasuke went on oblivious to the danger that was closing in on them. Even if Itachi told Sasuke what was going on he wouldn't leave Naruto's side anyway. Naruto and Sasuke spent their day training but both were noticing how tense Itachi was. They decided to get some answers, they played rock paper scissors to see who's plan they would use. Naruto won…

Both boys nodded to one another and they launched a surprise attack on him and tackled him only to end up tied together. "Told you that wouldn't work Dobe…" Sasuke said embarrassed. "Shut up Sasuke…"

"What do you two think you were doing…?" Itachi asked, with an amused smile. "We noticed you were being all tense and we just wanted to know why…" Sasuke asked looking at him with sad eyes.

"Ohh…" Itachi held back a frown. "It's nothing guys don't worry about it…" Itachi cut them loose.

"I'm home…" Fugaku called from the front door. "Dad!" Sasuke ran off to great him. Naruto frowned and rubbed his arm. "Fugaku-san doesn't like me does he Big Brother…" Naruto said his voice sounding hurt. "Naruto…?"

"Nah it's nothing…" Naruto said brightening up and ran off after Sasuke. Itachi followed sensing the presence move as well. Itachi wanted to contact some of his connections in the Anbu but being apart from Naruto was dangerous.

"Itachi I need you to go to Mama Cat and purchase some items…" Fugaku said handing Itachi an order scroll. "Yes Father if it's alright I'd like to take Naruto with me…"

Fugaku scowled and looked at the young blonde. "Do as you please…" Fugaku spoke and waved them off. Sasuke looked disappointed. "Can I go to?"

"No I want to see the results of your training…" Fugaku said coldly and led Sasuke away. "We'll be back later Sasuke promise…" Naruto said holding up his pinky. Itachi left the compound with Naruto in tow, and as they walked he felt something following them. 'I will handle this myself if I have to…'

As Itachi led the mysterious presence away a tall cloaked being wherein 5 masks appeared in the Uchiha compound. Where the face was the mask was that of a black star that took up most of the mask. 2 masks on his shoulders, when having red diamonds where the eyes would be, the other mask had 3 blue spades one on the forehead of the mask the other two on the bottom. There were 2 more masks over his lungs one holding green clubs marks in a square formation. The other had purple comma marks in a circle formation.

"I'm here in the compound, do you want me to kill them now…?" He waited and nodded his head as if talking to someone. "Yes your right if our brother finds out we killed all the Uchiha's without him he would be most displeased we will wait for him to kill the 9 tailed fox's vessel."
