Naruto has a talent for creating plant-like weaponry and he even has a base hidden in the Forest of Death. Naruto was driven away by the villagers. He began to live here, but now he's back and ready to become a ninja.

Chap 1 The Test

Deep in the Forest of Death, there's bed of flowers. Naruto created these flowers to hide his secret base. Naruto was actually pretty clever and skilled but no one gave him a chance. He was always being called a monster or a freak. That torment had wounded him deeply. He remembered back to his last day inside Konoha.

The Kyuubi had tried to play off his anger and sorrow towards the villagers, however Naruto managed to best him. The once dark den of the seal became overgrown in bright orange flowers.

"What is this?" Kyuubi gasped as Naruto stood before him smiling. "People can hate me all they want, they can step on me like a flower, they can hurt me all they want, like a flower I will keep growing…" Naruto looked at him and grinned. "Hatred will only weaken my growth…"

Naruto turned his back on the Kyuubi, a look of determination on his face. "I will show everyone what I can do. When I bloom, no one will be able to break me…" He turned back around and pointed at the Kyuubi. "Just you wait! I'll even show you too…"

The blonde male was chased out of the village soon after that. Naruto's experiments made him lose his apartment and, with no home, the villagers were relentless. Naruto found a safe haven in the Forest of Death. There were many plants for him to study in there. He made a base for himself and covered it with a bed of flowers.

The Third spent quite a long time looking for Naruto after he discovered that Naruto was missing. He finally found Naruto and wanted Naruto to move back into the village, but Naruto refused. Over the years, Naruto had gotten good at various ninjutsu on his own and he told the Third about his ideas. He was impressed to say the least, he gave Naruto a warrant to create new ninjutsu, but Naruto would have to send reports on his studies to him every month. Naruto agreed, however he tended to forget about the reports.

Sarutobi sent Anko to retrieve the reports from time to time whenever Naruto was late turning them in. Anko was the only ninja that he thought was perfect to handle this. From this, the two really seemed to bond, which he later learned might not have been a good thing.

Naruto, age 16, now worked almost completely in his base. He had perfected many different plant-based weaponry and ninjutsu hidden under his home. Kyuubi was impressed with how much the blond had grown. He liked his determination, although easily he lost sight of things as he was working. For example, it had been 3 months since Naruto had last sent in a report.

Sarutobi sighed. Anko was on a mission and he really need Naruto's signature in order to take the ninja exam. The test had occurred a month prior but, since Sarutobi wanted Naruto to take the exam as well, team placement had been postponed.

He sent word for 3 Jounin he believed could get the job done. In no time at all, Kakashi, Gai, and Asuma were walking into his office. "I need you three for an important inter-Konoha mission. I need you three to retrieve someone from inside the Forest of Death…"

"WHO IS IT HOKAGE-SAMA?" Gai yelled.

"Far too loud Gai! Speak softer. Now, I need you three to go retrieve Naruto Uzumaki…" he spoke. Kakashi froze in shock and Gai's jaw dropped to the ground. "You mean the Fourth's child still lives?" Everyone sweat dropped at Gai's question.

"Of course Gai, but to think he's the one living in the Forest of Death…" Asuma spoke, and Kakashi turned towards him. "You knew he was living in the Forest of Death?"

"Settle down Kakashi, I didn't know it was your sensei's son. Some of the Anbu, who train in the forest have claimed to see someone wandering around in there…"

"Yes, Naruto lives there and, like all the children of Konoha, he has reached the age to take the test to become a ninja. I need you to bring him here... as well as his last 3 months of reports." He handed them a map to where they should be able to find Naruto's base. The three nodded and left to fetch the blond.

A little while later, they arrived at the point where the map lead them and formed the jutsu the map said was the key to enter. The bed of flowers before them rose up out of the ground and a cave formed beneath them. "LET'S GO!" Gai yelled and the three walked in. Tthe moment they walked into the tunnel, thick roots sprouted out of the entrance and locked them inside. "What is this…?" Gai said as they jumpped and drew their weapons.

"A trap…?" They met back-to-back, weapons drawn, looking for any suspicious movement. "Let's be careful! This is still the Forest of Death." Kakashi said and the other two nodded. They heard something move above them. They looked up and saw a massive 6 petal flower opening up. The petals were pink but had little green dots all over them. The flower spewed a green liquid from its center and it rained down on them faster than they could act.

"Ahh it burns, it burns, it burns!" Gai shouted freaking out. Kakashi grabbed ahold of him. "Gai, it's not burning us…"

"Oh! My rival, you are right…" Gai said settling down. "Kakashi!" Asuma shouted, and they realized the liquid did have an effect after all. Their weapons and clothing began dissolving right off their bodies. The three Jounin were unable to stop the effects and soon they were all as completely naked as when they were born. Gai covered his crotch to hide his embarrassment with his face turning cherry-red. Kakashi closed his Sharingan eye in order to avoid having to take a trip to Konoha's mental ward. When they say the Sharingan records everything, they mean everything and Kakashi did not need to remember seeing Gai naked ever again. Asuma didn't care to hide his shame at all. He just let his hairy body hang free and clear.

"We need to get new clothes…" Kakashi said. Performing some seals he shouted "Fire Style Fire Ball Jutsu!" He shot a fire ball at the vines that had sealed the entrance closed. Tiny red flowers bloomed on the roots in seemingly random places and the fire was drawn into the blooms.

"Shit…" He cursed.

"Looks like we need to find Naruto in order to get out of here…" Asuma said and looked towards the only way they could go. "Nonsense…" Gai said as he rushed at the wall of vines. He jumped and kicked the roots. The red flowers reacted by releasing a red dust and a small flame was spit out of one of the blooms. BOOM! Gai, Kakashi, and Asuma were blown deeper into the cave.

The three naked men landed in a room lit up by glowing white flowers. Kakashi raised his head from Gai's lap and looked around. "Oh this isn't good…"
