"Are you still seeing..." A slight pause with a tense atmosphere. In the background a chair sqeaked on the smooth floor surface.
"Things?" The voice said gruffly.
"Yeah and don't say anything, or I'll beat the shit out of you."
"No more than usual."
With that said the short blond haired figure got up of the bench, followed by his friend. Both not wanting to talk about the previous conversation.
"Hey so what's up? Are you still flunking Naruto." The blond just sighed running his hand through his spiky hair. Feeling his fingers go through his rather untamed messy hair. While his friend tried to keep a straight face.
"Just shut up Kiba." Naruto grumbled looking annoyed.
Kiba just shook his head before bursting out loud with laughter, not caring if a few heads turned their way.
"I can't believe you. Flunking, 'Math 90' has got to be the all time low man. Even I'm doing better than you are."
"I said shut up Kiba. It's not my fault, this stupid College crap is hard." Naruto said even though he knew what was coming up next even before the brunette had the words formed in his mouth.

Kiba threw back his head and laughed, even going as far as to start choking on his spit.
"Man you... can't be serous it's Munson who's teaching it, and he never fails anyone." Kiba finally seemed to choke out.
Naruto only glared at his so called friend. It was true though, Munson was so relaxed and always had extra credit for people when they fell behind. But you see Naruto was going to need a lot of extra credit because of the simply fact of not being there at class and or goofing of.
A whack brought him out of his musings, only to find a slightly annoyed Kiba.
"What do you want now dog boy?" Naruto asked grinning, knowing Kiba hated the nick name.
But after Naruto saw that look in his friends eyes, he knew it was something serious.
"Do you still... you know with the bought knife and all." Kiba said lamely. His eyes kept shifting back and fourth, like a conndemed man.
Naruto turned his head frowning, looking ahead to see people eating their lunch, talking on their fancy cells, or just siting; doing their homework..
Yes Naruto knew what his friend was saying, was he seeing things. It wouldn't really matter if he told Kiba the truth or not. No one really believed him.
"No not really." Naruto opted to say, wanting to talk about something else. Not about how much of a scardy cat he really was. Kiba just shook his head a little, not wanting to push the blond.
"Have you seen Shikamaru lately?" Kiba said, trying to get up another conversation.
Naruto looked over by the trees knowing where the lazy bastard would most likely be.
"Yeah I see the lazy ass right now." Naruto spoke up before heading in the right direction with Kiba following him. Nara was laying down on the soft green grass, looking up through the shade of the tree. The shadows dancing and playing on his relaxed face. His face upturned, gazing at the fluffy white condensed cloud cover.

"Uzumaki don't you have class to go to." Shikamaru said still looking up at the sky.
"Heh nah I'm fine, I decided to skip since it's nice out." And his reply was a, how troublesome in return.
Naruto walked the rest of the way before siting next to Nara, with Kiba right beside him.
"Hey Naruto, dog boy, Shika." A voice called out to them. They turned just in time to see that the rest of their group was arriving. Choji, which to Naruto seemed like he put on a few extra pounds, and Shino or as Naruto liked to call him bug boy. Now all they had to wait for was...
No there they were. Gaara and Temari.
"Hey what's up sand man." Naruto said grinning, and trying not to laugh at Gaara's hard glare.
"Naruto did you buy your food or did you bum off of Kiba again." Temari said, before giving Naruto a sandwich, which he took with an enthusiastic thank you. Leave it to Temari who had always brought food for him. Living and going to College could get expensive so he was always grateful for any hand outs.
Naruto snapped back into reality when he heard part of Kiba's stupid joke.
"...Get when you have a bunch of men in a submarine." Kiba said with his mouth full. Spaying tiny chunks of meat at his own book bag.
It looked like no one was paying him any attention either, with Temari studying her sandwich and Gaara was yet again playing with sand in his pocket. Naruto just shook his head not wanting to know the facenation. Ever since six grade when their class had taken a trip to the beach, Gaara had discovered sand, and well. As for Shino, well you couldn't tell anything about him with his big dark sunglasses on, and a shirt that nearly hid all of his lower face.
Kiba was about ready to burst the answer out when Naruto tried to hide a yawn. He was trying to hide it so they wouldn't brag on him again, but as faith would have it.
"Naruto are you sleeping at night?" Temari said looking straight at Naruto, along with Gaara's piercing green eyes.
Both of their stare's felt like lead weight crushing him down, making him so much smaller.
"Uh well," Naruto scratched the back of his head smiling sheepishly. "Not really no." He muttered after seeing all his friends staring at him.
So what if he had a problem with sleeping, it wasn't like the end of the world or anything. Heck Gaara was an insomniac, and he acted sane, well most of the time anyway.
"How long." Gaara said in a monotone voice. Naruto just held up his hand making it a two. Yes two nights without sleeping properly. Gaara just made a noise in the back of his throat. But his eye's did not stray from the twitchy blonde.
"Dude, man that's not good, no wonder your failing math." Kiba blurted out. Shino looked up from the bark he had been inspecting so thoroughly, turning his head in Naruto's direction.
Temari inched forward advancing on the blond, making Naruto highly uncomfortable. He could practically see under her shirt.
"Did you see something again." She said softly letting her face become softer. Well other than your chest no, he silently thought. Sighing he turned his eyes away. He did not want pity, especially towards his friends; so he just nodded his head.
"Before you say anything, I'm not paranoid. I'm not going to some shrink quack to say I have a problem." Naruto stated firmly, ending the discussion there and then. He did not have a problem, his past was the past and he knew that better than anyone. Besides who would believe him when the things he saw were not exactly normal.
"Well I have to go." Kiba said breaking the tense silence. "I have to go home and baby sit the dogs," with that dog boy left.
Naruto waved at his friend, wondering why Kiba even took up the job in the first place. Sure he loved dogs, but baby sitting six at a time?
Shino also got up and turned around with one last look at Naruto before he too took off. It wasn't anything new, Shino never really talked and just left whenever.
"How troublesome." Shikamaru said before turning to Naruto with lazy lidded eyes, "So did you keep Sasuke up all night." He said smiling a little. Leaving Naruto to sputter and wave in the breeze.
"Hey Shika leave Naruto alone." Temari snapped at seeing Naruto's reddened face, trying not to laugh at the poor blond.
Sputtering Naruto quickly shook his head. "No I didn't wake mister ice prick if that's what your implying." He said. Ignoring the ever smirking man, who watched cloud's all day. Naruto than laid down next to the lazy ass before continuing.
"No, I just sort of watched the ceiling while my cat and Sasuke's dog slept with me." He said dozing off, his mind troubles. What he didn't tell them was that last night the shadows had been twisting around near his floor and walls. It was like the dance of the dead.
Shifting he turned his back to Shika. He was really starting to get tired in this position, which wasn't good because he had one more class to take. Man he hated Tuesdays, not because of classes, but because of his time schedule. He would always have to walk home at 5:00pm alone.
"Hey do any of you want to come over at my house?" Naruto asked them a little hopeful.
"Sorry Naruto, but I have to go to work, and Gaara's coming with." Temari said with a small smile.
Naruto just shrugged and pretended everything was fine, before asking the Nara boy but it ended with the same results.
"No it's to troublesome, but I'm going on a date with Ino." He said or more like sighed. It seemed Ino had blackmailed his friend yet again. Naruto then looked at Choji, who had up to this point been quietly eating some chips he had mysteriously whipped out, but he also had a date.
"Well that's cool I'll just walk by myself I guess." Naruto finished before getting up. Hearing his bones crack from the stiffed posture.
He started to head over to the College complex that was his next class. Passing by some college students playing hacky sack. "Hey Naruto just ask Stick Ass to walk with you." Temari said before they too left, leaving Naruto to ponder this statement. Yeah he could ask Sasuke but then would it be peaceful or full of questions, was the answer.
Naruto, shrugged his shoulder, grabbing at his pack a little tighter before heading towards the looming buildings. He never really liked this section of the campus. The buildings were older then the rest of them, and he could swear he heard noises that weren't normal for older building. Sometimes moaning and other times it woulb be echoed footsteps, but no one would be around. The structure itself had old paint chipped off, with clouded up windows from old use. He quickly stepped inside the building along with the other students. He wanted to just get this over with, he could practically feel eyes watching him as he walked down the all too narrow hall.
Passing by white stained doors or old school clippings. Reaching the room he went in before sitting by the window wanting to see if he could see anything outside that would warrant the feelings he had, but like always he didn't see anything. Just a lazy sun with even more lazy drifting cloud's that would make Shika groan with envy. Throughout the whole class period Naruto looked out the window, seeing teens and adults walking and talking on their cell phones. He then began to wonder if it was a full moon tonight. Would most of these people hang out at the local bars or would they sit in their rooms playing on their computer all night. Wasting their lives instead of going out like he had done every single night.
"Ok class you can go now." Said the teacher in a drone kind of way.
Naruto quickly gathered his things, not wanting to stay another minute of the boring class. He quickly walked down the hall grabbing his cell phone before calling Sasuke, his flatmate.
"Naruto what do you want now?" Sasuke asked through the phone. His tone flat as ever.
"Oh nothing much." Naruto paused to let people pass him. "I was wondering if you wanted to walk home." He finished, exiting the creepy building. And the many bodies that had moments ago swarmed him in passing.
"Dobe, I'll be waiting at the end of the campus and you better not be late." Sasuke said grumpily before hanging up. Naruto just smirked, knowing why the prick was so annoyed. It was simple to start with, his fan club of drooling girls and Gai's class.
Naruto trudged up the hill, passing even more people, before seeing a young man with black short hair that seemed longer in the back and shorter in the front. He had on a blue button down shirt with black pants.
"Hey Duck butt, " Naruto yelled.
He had to get back at the bastard for calling him a Dobe after all. Before walking in step with Sasuke as they started to walk home. They weren't saying anything just looking around and enjoying the solitude. Naruto could feel his feet hit the cold pavement echoing his steps to his ears, as a second pair joined in making a harmony of sorts. He could feel the light breeze blowing in his face, ruffling up his hair and clothes. In the distance car horns honked and people talked. Everything was as it should be a nice warm day with no worries, even as the blonde constantly looked all around him and the people near by. That was until Sasuke opted to talk looking down at Naruto.
"You haven't been sleeping." He stated in a matter-of-fact tone. His pale sharp cheeks and chin convoying nothing. But the eye's spoke differently.
The blonde frowned narrowing his eyes into the distance, not wanting to talk about it. All he wanted to do was get home and curl up on the couch. Not talk about why he had not been sleeping, it wasn't anything knew.
"I just couldn't sleep last night, not with what I saw." Naruto muttered his last sentence. Deliberately not looking over at his friend.
"What did you see?" Questioned Sasuke casually, not letting his emotion show on his face.
But he was anything but casual. He knew Naruto didn't sleep yesterday or else he wouldn't be looking so tired. Plus the dog slept with him every time Naruto couldn't go to sleep.
"I didn't really see anything. It was more like I felt like I was being watched. Like... I don't know how to explain it." Naruto said frustrated, bring his hand through his blonde hair. God he sounded so stupid, but that was how he felt last night. like someone was watching him, he had even got a cold chill run down his spine. The shadows had not helped either.
Naruto didn't look up at Sasuke, knowing what would be on his face. He wasn't crazy like people said he was. He knew there was something out there, he could feel it. it was like a six scene he had ever since he could remember. But it had gotten stronger after the accident.
"Naruto you baka, was the animal's acting strange." Sasuke said looking ahead, knowing their house was just ahead. The car noises had almost disappeared on some of the busier streets.
"You didn't see anything, you have to stop this... maybe you should." But before he could finish his sentence Naruto socked him on his shoulder hard.
Sasuke looked down to see ice cold blue eyes staring up at him. "No Teme, I know what I felt. I know what I see and I'm not crazy." He snapped before marching up the sidewalk into a little community of houses.
"Naruto I didn't say you were crazy." Sasuke said softly before heading towards their small house.
Naruto just clenched his fists, determined not to look at that bastard. He couldn't believe Sasuke. They were childhood friends and were supposed to stick together. That's why they had rented this house in the first place, since they were both going to the same College. Naruto tried to shake off his anger to see the house.
He still could not believe that they got such a great deal on it. It was a two story house, with a large kitchen and three bathrooms. They also had three bedrooms for guests, which came over quiet frequently to stay the night or what not. He really liked it but the only problem with it was that he had to share it with that asshole, oh and the next door neighbor that moved in just last week.
Naruto really didn't like the man, he would come out of the house and sit on the porch watching everyone with his eye. It was really creepy.
Naruto unlocked his door from top to bottom and went in with Sasuke following. Naruto shut the door and started to do his little routine of locking it and then putting the chain lock through as a precaution. He didn't want anything getting into the house after all. They heard feet padding on hard wood before a brown streak came up to greet them. The dog waged his wiry tail to and from trying to knock Sasuke and Naruto down barking.
Sasuke just shook his head at Naruto smirking before going into the kitchen with Naruto following not far behind.
"It's your turn to feed the animals and cook for tonight Teme." Naruto said before gathering up his cat. He loved his cat, even though Sasuke had gotten it for him. Naruto was more of a cat person whereas Sasuke liked dogs more so they got both. A German Shepard for Sasuke, and a calico cat for Naruto.
"I have to much work Naruto you cook, while I feed the animals." Sasuke said already doing the task.
"That's not fair Teme I made dinner the last two nights." Naruto snapped. It wasn't fair because then he would also have to do the dishes after dinner.
"Hn" Sasuke said before heading towards his room.
Naruto glared hard at his head hoping for the bastard to fall over dead. After about five minutes of glaring through the door into Sasuke's skull, Naruto decided to quite and just make Ramen, Sasuke hated Ramen. Naruto had actually named his cat Ramen just to piss the prick off.
After turning all the lights on down stairs, and having the radio on, Naruto pulled all the makings for the meal. He came over to the sink to turn the water one while looking outside. It was already past six, and he could see the other neighbor's lights turned on. He paused in his task suddenly. It felt like something was wrong, like someone was watching him. He could feel a shudder go up his spine. He looked around before seeing his next door neighbor's curtain pull away. Naruto narrowed his eyes, he knew something was wrong with that guy. He quickly closed the sinks little curtain not wanting that lunatic seeing anything inside the house.
After dinner, Naruto had seen a very annoyed Sasuke slam his door.
Naruto snickered before going into his room hearing the little creeks on the floor boards with his weight as he went down the hall. He made sure his cat Ramen was with him as he slowly flicked the light on standing by the door way frame. Looking around quickly, and seeing nothing, Naruto sighed before going in all the way.
It was just his little ritual around the house when no one else was there. He would look before entering checking to make sure it was safe.
He made his way to the little night table turning on the lamp and T.V before he took of his shoes and socks. He had set Ramen on the bed where the little cat lay already curled up seemingly watching the T.V. He smiled before heading towards his most hated enemy, the bathroom. He hated it because there was no windows in there and it just seemed to be so cramped. Sure he could go up stairs and use the guest one with the window but he hardly ever went up stairs. He wasn't planning on doing it any time soon either. Naruto pushed the door all the way open slowly before standing in the door frame, flicking the lights on. He quickly looked around the small area from top to bottom. Like always there was nothing but he would still look around even if his cat seemed quite and peaceful.
He went in to take a very long hot relaxing shower, running his hands through his blonde hair and soaping up. In the background he could hear the T.V. on and the light up above flickering a little. When he was done, he turned off the shower quickly taking the white towel and wrapping it around his slim slender hips.
Naruto padded towards the mirror on the wall wiping his hand on it to clear the fog, and sighed. He did look like a wreck, he really needed to get some sleep especially seeing the bags under his eyes. Naruto backed up from the mirror still looking through it before looking in his bedroom to make sure no one was there. He had always done this since he was a teen. Maybe the scary movies weren't such a good idea after all, he mused turning off the lights and quickly closing the door behind him before locking it. He then went to his closet to get some of his night wear. He also hated doing this, he hated the closet. Anything could get in there, Naruto knew and he experienced it once when Kiba thought it would be fun.
It was Halloween when Kiba had decided to scare the shit out of Naruto. The bastard had it all planned out. He hid in the closet and waited for Naruto to open it up. Kiba had been wearing a hockey mask, and when Naruto had opened the closet door all hell broke loose.
Now that's one of the reasons why the blond would check the closet, that and... other things. Things like a small see-through boy that would play in there at night with his burnt up truck toy.
Naruto quickly shoved the door open and twisted to the side looking all around for anything, but nothing was there. He knew it was kind of weird to be doing this but it was habit and he didn't like things being changed. He was a creature of habit. After gathering his sleeping wear, Naruto shut the closet door firmly before heading towards his bed dressing all the while. Now with a white shirt and gray sweat pants on, Naruto jumped on the bed dislodging his cat. He said a quick sorry after he caught the disgruntled look on Ramen before watching catching some T.V. It's not the he was afraid of anything under the bed, it was just habit to jump on it and make sure nothing was under it or in the covers like bugs or something. He stayed up watching late shows and the news before finally feeling he could not take it anymore. News just put him right to sleep so he snuggled up into the warm covers from his body heat, watching Ramen walk up onto his pillow and fall asleep. He felt his eyes drooping before closing muttering in content.
