Gaara sat down on the floor gasping for air. How could this be happening? This was like something out of a movie. He heard groaning coming from the hallway and his grip tightened on the handle of the wooden sword from the theater he had found. The scramming had stopped awhile ago… The dead walking? He really wished this was all a dream and that he would wake up with his head down on his desk.

"God fucking damn it..." Sasuke grumbled out to himself storming down the hallway. Students who had recently died groaned and reached out trying to grab a hold of him. But the slender male was ticked off and easily ducked kicking the zombies away without making too much noise. When he walked past the redhead he blinked. "Hey... Aren't you Sabaku no Gaara?" He questioned in a quiet tone while stopping.

"U-Uchiha...y-yeah.." Gaara said still panting hard from all the running he had done, he looked over the older male relived to see he hadn't been bitten yet. "Y-Your the first I have seen alive in hours.." He said and struggled to his feet.

"Hn, you look dead to me," Sasuke said pointing out the fact Gaara looked scared and shaken up. "Come on.. I may as well protect you, it is not worth letting more people die.." He mumbled and continued walking down the hallway ignoring the few zombies that were near them.

Gaara quickly fallowed him and remembered why he had been running around so much. "H-Have you seen Lee? Rock Lee...he's in your grade...he's my friend I am trying to find him.." He said and then blinked. 'Protect me?' He thought looking up at the black haired male. "I can handle myself.." He muttered and tensed when a zombie reached out to try and grab Sasuke's arm.

Sasuke easily dodged and reached over grabbing a broken table leg and he swung it around cracking the zombie in the head. When it stumbled backwards he sighed and started carrying the long wooden table leg. "No I have not seen him why? He is probably one of these freaks.." Sasuke told him then laughed under his breath. "Yeah you look like you were doing a great job huddling against a wall."

Gaara flinched and narrowed his eyes at him. "Don't say that...and I was out of breath I have been running around almost the whole school.." He said and looked out the long glass window beside them. Why did this all have to happen? He remembered the screaming had started at the front gate...then somehow one of the..things got into the school, it spread quickly. He had been sitting on the roof thinking after having a argument with Lee...he didn't want the words he said to be the last things between them. "Are you looking for someone..?"

"Not anyone really... I am looking around for things first.. these.. um.. they are very annoying.." Sasuke said finding it hard to think of a name for the living dead around them. "Maybe my older brother.." Sasuke said to Gaara then he made a turn and started going upstairs to the class A rooms.

Gaara stumbled on the steps and cursed himself for being so shaken up. "W-Wait up ok!...I don't know if you saw everyone being pulled apart but I fucking did..." He said and leant on the railing bowing his head a little. 'They are all gone...' He thought and let out a shaky sigh. "What are we looking for.." He asked trying to keep his mind off things.

"Quiet down!" Sasuke suddenly spat out turning around and covering his mouth since he had yelled. After a moment he saw some zombies start to come over to the stairs. "Fuck.." He muttered and grabbed Gaara's arm. He yanked up him and over his shoulder then carried the redhead up the stairs and into a class room. Then he gently set him down on a table. "You need to be quiet around them... and Uchiha Itachi, I.. ugh I want to make sure he is ok alright?" Sasuke said folding his arms and he looked around for something else to use as a weapon because he set the wooden leg down when he had picked Gaara up.

Gaara winced and looked down. "Gomen...I'm just a bit freaked out..if you help me find Lee...I'll help you find your brother ok?" He said and started to wonder about his other friends. "I bet Naruto is doing fine...heh he's the one who always would say something like this could happen." He said and looked at the desk. "Check the desk..this is the class of the teacher who used to be a cop." He said and finely calmed down a little. 'I should be grateful we ran into each other..' He thought.

Sasuke blinked wondering how Gaara knew that then moved over to the teacher's desk. Opening the drawer he found a gun and slipped it into the back of his pants leaving it there. Then he smiled a little when he glanced over and found a long baton that was set up against the desk. He picked it up in his hand then spun it. "I suppose we have a deal then... we can try and find this.. Lee guy."

"Thank you.." Gaara said and slide off the desk then walked over to him. "I have searched the first floor already..and those..things have a hard time getting up and down stairs so there are not as many on the higher floors I am guessing." He said and glanced down at his hands to see they were shaking. 'It's kinda weird..Naruto was going to have me met Sasuke this afternoon...I hope he alright.' He thought and rubbed his arms.

"Come on let's go find Lee now.." Sasuke mumbled and moved over sliding the door open. He glanced around then looked over at a fire exit. "We should check the roof first, then we can see everything from there," He told Gaara before forming a silent sign and he started to carefully stalk over to the exit.

Gaara blinked then nodded and fallowed him as silently as he could, he blinked when he heard a loud thud then grabbed the back of Sasuke's shirt yanking him away from a door that suddenly fell into the hall, one of the creatures fell with it onto the floor and the redhead quickly pushed the older male around it before it could get up. 'These things are not very bright..' He thought.

Sasuke yanked his arm from Gaara and glared at him a little as if to tell him 'do not touch me..' Then he led the redhead over to the stairs. After climbing them he looked around happy to see there were no zombies up stairs. "Good those things can not open the top door.." He commented and shut it and locked it behind Gaara.

Gaara made a annoyed sound in his throat and moved past him. "I don't understand why Naruto wanted me to be friends with you..." He muttered and frowned looking at the floor. He started to try and think of how this kind of thing could happen. 'Was it air born?...Did just one person become infected and attack other people?...What the hell is going on?.. If I can find Lee, I am gonna get us out of here and to were my siblings are..thank god they stayed home today.' He thought and sighed.

"Sakura-Chan hurry up, it is not that hard to climb! Use some spirit!!" Lee was yelling across on another building while climbing a latter up, a pink haired girl screaming loudly when a zombie grabbed her leg. Sasuke glanced over at them then reached for his gun but sighed when the zombie bit her leg. "Lee!! Let her fucking go get to the roof and find a way to get that ladder off!" He yelled over to the male. Lee raised an eye brow then shook his head and climbed up reaching for Sakura. "Sakura-Chan come on.." He said not wanting to leave anyone behind but the girl did not respond and she started to cough up blood covering her mouth. Then her eyes seemed to die and he body went limp for a moment, her falling back down onto the other zombies climbing up. Lee freaked out and tried to do as Sasuke had yelled finding a metal bar and he beat the ladder until the bolts slipped and fell off and the ladder fell, then he blocked the exit door with the metal bar. "We will try and get to you soon ok?!" He yelled across to him not even affected at all seeing the girl dying right then and standing back up.

Gaara was in shock at what he had just seen but was relived Lee had gotten away. "He's ok.." He said and then looked at the ground his eyes widening seeing all the zombies walking around outside the school. "How are we going to get over there?" He said and leant over the rail trying to find a way down. 'Why are so many on that building..?' He thought.

Lee waved over to them then sat down and he rubbed a little blood off of his face that Sasuke could see. "Shit... if only we had Shikamaru for this.." Sasuke muttered and looked down at the zombies trying to think of a good way how to get over to Lee for Gaara.

The redhead sighed and then looked over at wire that was attached to both buildings and ran over to it. He climbed onto the railing and gave the wire a few good tugs wondering if it could handle a persons weight. "We could maybe use this!" He called over to Sasuke and tensed looking how high up they were.

"You want to dangle above cannibals across a metal wire just to get to a guy..?" He questioned looking at Gaara like he was crazy. Lee got up and walked over grinning happy to see Gaara. "Gaara-kun!! Hey I am glad to see you are ok!!" He yelled not thinking and all the zombies looked up and started lifting up their hands trying to get what the noise was.

Gaara stiffened up looking at all the zombies then looked at Lee. "I-I'm glad to s-see your ok to!" He yelled seeing there was not much of a point to be silent. He pulled hard on the wire and relaxed to see it was not going to break. "Lee can you climb over here?" He shouted not wanting to have to leave Sasuke behind.

"Sure!!" Lee said happily not even really carrying about the zombies just happy to see Gaara. He jumped over onto the rail and moved down. Grabbing onto the wire he winced a little and ripped his shirt putting the cloth around his hands. Then he relaxed a little since the wire would not cut his fingers and he moved down. His weight on the wire made it droop down but he started to slowly move across the wire like it was monkey bars.

Gaara kept his hands on the wire just in case something happened and gave a worried look. "Lee please be careful!" He called and felt his heart was starting to race. 'Please don't fall...I can't lose you after all this..' He thought and glanced back at Sasuke for a moment. "What grade is your brother?" He asked wanting to know where they should start looking.
