It was a windy day in the middle of the forest where two boys were on a mission to help the Kazekage who was walking ahead of the pair, making their way to a far off village. The oldest of the three closed his eyes when a strong wind ripped past his face blowing his black hair into his eyes making it hard to see the trail. “Haha it attacks.” A blond said playfully pushing on the taller males shoulder.
“Hey Naruto-kun I almost tripped!” Lee said laughing and pushed his friend back. The Kazekage glanced back at them then looked back ahead to the path, the blond smirked and picked up his pace till he was next to the other male.
“Oh come on Gaara enjoy yourself! We still have like a week before we get to that…whatever the name of that village is called.” Naruto said patting the redhead on the shoulder.
“Water Village.” Lee said from behind them Naruto waved his hand.
“Yeah the wet place.” The blond said making Gaara snort.
“Nice nickname for the village.” Gaara said glancing over at him. Lee walked up to be next to the young leader and smiled when Gaara turned to look at him, their eyes met for a moment before the sand ninja looked away, seeing this Naruto smirked knowing full well that Gaara had feelings for the spandex wearing ninja.
“Oop slippery.” Naruto suddenly said and parented to slip and bumped Gaara into Lee’s arms. The sand ninja stiffened up and then quickly pulled away from Lee blushing under his sand armor, he walked faster to get a bit of distance between him and his crush and folded his arms. Lee stood there confused then kept on walking up the trail closing his eyes when the wind blew by again. The blond caught up to the Kazekage again and playfully elbowed him, he blinked when he got a glare from the light green eyes that were rimmed with black. “What?”
“Don’t do that…” Gaara said lowering his voice so the taller male couldn’t overhear.
“Oh you know I was trying to help.” Naruto whispered folding his arms behind his head.
“Stop I can handle this myself..” The Kazekage replied frowning at his best friend.
“Yeah sure and how long have you been in love with him? Three years Gaara and you won’t even drop a hint.” Naruto said walking a little closer to the redhead since the wind was getting stronger. Gaara looked down and away from his friend wincing. It was true…Gaara had loved him for three years yet he could never get himself to admit how he felt to the leaf ninja. He knew he couldn’t bear being rejected if Lee didn’t return his feelings and he didn’t want to risk losing his friendship.
“Things are fine the way they are Naruto…”
“But Gaa-”
“Please!...Just drop the subject..” Gaara said closing his eyes and bowing his head slightly. Naruto winced but nodded and let out a sigh, he really wanted his best friend to be happy. The sand ninja was already 18 and never had a date in his life. Naruto who was the same age had had plenty of dates and was now with the love of his life. He glanced back at the 19 year old who was humming softly to himself and was looking around at the moutons he could see far in the distance. ‘And mister clueless.’ Naruto thought with a sweat drop staring at Lee. ‘Should I just make a freaking sign and point it at Gaara and write on it ‘He loves you! Date him god damn it!’ The blond sighed and rubbed his temples.
“Hey can we stop to make some ramen?”
“Naruto-kun we are not having a ramen break stop complaining.” Lee said and Naruto stuck his tongue out at him. The older make blinked then returned the child like gesture just as Gaara was turning around to look back at them. Lee sweat dropped and Gaara stared at him with a blank expression, the redhead then mouthed the word ‘okay’ and turned back around walking ahead of them. Naruto burst out laughing and Lee blushed in embarrassment.
“Haha I made you look like a idiot in front of Gaaaaara.” Naruto teased.
“You always act like a baka around him.” Lee pointed out frowning.
“Tch yeah but redhead’s used to it from me.” Naruto replied with a fox like grin. The blond turned around and blinked seeing the Kazekage was leaning on a tree and breathy heavily. “Gaara?” The Jinchuuriki ran up to his friend and placed a hand on his shoulder. “Hey what’s wrong?” Naruto asked, Lee quickly walking up next to him. Gaara was lightly gripping his vest and was trying to get his breathing back under control his eyes tightly closed.
“I…I’m sorry I just…feel short of breath..” Gaara said resting his forehead on the bark of the tree his red bangs fanning over it. Lee and Naruto exchanged looks both worried.
“Let’s set up camp it is late anyway.” Lee said and the boys nodded. Gaara knelt down and removed his gourd and pulled off the bag he had tied around it, he pulled out a folded up tent and got to work trying to set it up. The wind however had other plans and made setting up the tent a living hell for the Kazekage. Gaara removed his sand armor and used the sand to hold the tent in place, that helped for awhile till he had to bend the main wire through the tent that made it keep its shape, he pulled down on it trying to hook it into one of the stakes not noticing Lee walk up behind him. “Looks pretty good Gaara-kun.” Lee said startling the sand ninja, Gaara lost his grip on the wire and it snapped up cutting him right next to his eye on his temple. He hissed in pain as blood dripped down his face and Lee gasped. “Oh! Gaara-kun I am so sorry!” Lee yelled and knelt down in front of the leader and grabbed his chin to hold him still as he looked at the wound. “That looks painful let me get the first aid kit.” Lee said softly and the redheads face heated up from the gentle touch. The leaf ninja turned to dig into his backpack pulling out the white box with the red cross on it. Lee got to work tending to the younger males wound the Kazekage blushing the whole time. Gaara took this moment to look at Lee’s eyes that were a dark brown that looked black from afar, the taller boys brows were lowered as he worked to stop the bleeding. They locked eyes for a few moments till Gaara looked away again trying to look at anything but Lee. “I’m sorry..”
“Its fine..” Gaara muttered but both blinked as the wind picked up the tent and smashed it into a tree. Lee gapped for a few moments then looked at Gaara to see if he was angry. “Damn the wind got it before I could.” Gaara said and the leaf ninja chuckled. Lee put a bandage over the cut and smiled as he sat back on his knees.
“Better?” Lee asked hopefully.
“…Better…” Gaara replied looking off to the side.
“Yosh! I am glad to hear that Gaara-kun.” The black haired boy said cheerfully and looked over at Naruto who had put his tent up by a tree for support. “Why did I not think of that..” Lee said with a sweat drop and the Kazekage shrugged.
_ _ _ Hour Later _ _ _
Night had fallen and the three ninja sat in Naruto’s tent since it was the only tent that was staying up through the wind. The blond had left to gather fire wood which left Gaara and Lee sitting alone in the tent a lantern the only source of light.
“Does your cut still hurt?” Lee asked wanting to break the silence.
“Only a little..” Came the Kazekage’s reply after a few moments. Gaara suddenly felt light headed and let himself fall onto his sleeping bag. ‘Ugh what is wrong with me?’ He thought and sighed, the redhead jumped when a hand was placed on his shoulder and he blushed as Lee leaned over him.
“Gaara-kun are you ok…your face is flushed.” Lee said and leant down, Gaara’s eyes snapped shut and he blushed darker not sure what Lee was gonna do. He felt a touch on his forehead and breath on his lips and he opened one eye to see that Lee had pressed his forehead to his own. The Kazekage’s heart started to beat faster and he gulped fighting the urge to pull the one he loved closer but he bit his lip and kept his hands in tight fists at his sides. “Well you’re really warm but not fever warm.” Lee muttered and pulled back to look into the half open green eyes that were staring back at him. Gaara couldn’t take it anymore and slyly pulled Lee closer and hugged him awkwardly. ‘Ugh if only I was brave enough to kiss him..’ Gaara thought his face heating up more and his eyes shut tightly, he could feel that Lee’s whole body had stiffened up and the sand ninja started to feel a little panic go through him. “Gaara-kun…what are yo-”
“A t-thank you h-hug?” Gaara forced out hoping that would be a good excuse. Lee blinked a few times then smiled.
“Oh, well then you are welcome Gaara-kun!” Lee said and hugged him back tightly, he sat up and smiled at the Kazekage. “But what was the thank you for?” He asked and Gaara sweat dropped.
“F-For…for being my f-friend.” Gaara said and Lee gave him a thumbs up.
“We will always be youthful friends!” The leaf ninja said happily and Gaara turned his head to look off to the side. ‘I guess that’s how it will always be…’ Gaara thought sadly and closed his eyes.
“I’m baaack!” Naruto said climbing into the tent then zipping it back up. “Hey redhead tired already?” He asked and Gaara just nodded. The three boys laid down and got into their sleeping bags the blond sleeping in the middle.

Gaara opened his eyes and found himself in a dark room standing in front of a large cage, he blinked a few times looking around before walking foreword towed the cage. He froze seeing the demon Tanuki that’s golden eyes were full of sadness.
“Gaara..” The demon said his voice sounding weak. “I am being removed from you…you are going to die..” The demon sand and Gaara’s eyes widened before he screamed in pain and fell to his knees in front of the cage, a horrible pain racking through his body. The sand demon stared at him for a moment before reaching a paw out through the bars and placing it on Gaara’s shoulder. “I made your life hell…I might as well do one thing good for you..”
“S-Shukaku..?” Gaara said through gritted teeth the pain increasing as the life was being pull from him for Shukaku’s remover. “H-How…how am I…”
“I brought you into your own mind so we could meet face to face…” The demon said and winced when Gaara let out another scream of pain. “If by chance… you somehow survive this I give you this gift…” Gaara gasped as gold chakra was forced into his body through the demons paw. “If you are ever near death again…the bit of my chakra that I am giving you will keep you safe.” Shukaku said removing his paw once he was done. The demon lay on his side in the cage next to the Kazekage. “Oh but you might have a few side effects.” Shukaku said and Gaara lifted his head to look at him.
“A-And here I thought you were being formal.” Gaara muttered and the demon smirked.
“Naah.”
“W-What are the side effects..?” Gaara asked holding in another cry of pain.
“Er…heat.” The demon said and redhead blinked.
“Pardon…?”

Gaara woke up from his dream and blinked looking around the dark tent his friends still asleep. ‘What a odd time to remember that…that was so long ago…wait..’ Gaara thought and moved a little. ‘Shit…’ He reached up whipping sweat off his forehead and moved a little freezing when he realized something. He sat up and pushed on Naruto’s shoulder trying to wake him. “N-Naruto..”
“But I want to be the ramen king..” Naruto said in his sleep and the Kazekage twitched, he pushed harder on his friends shoulder to try and wake him. He winced when he climbed out of his sleeping bag and kneeled next to the blond.
“Naruto wake up.” Gaara hissed but kept his voice low so not to wake up Lee. When the blond didn’t wake he got annoyed and used his sand to hit the leaf ninja over the head.
“Ow wh-” Naruto blinked when a hand covered his mouth and looked up tiredly at Gaara. The Kazekage pointed out of the tent and removed his hand from the blond’s mouth. “What’s wrong..?” He asked still half asleep and Gaara winced looking down. Seeing this woke up Naruto a little more and he sat up and tilted his friends chin up. “Gaara?” He noticed the strained expression on his friends face and climbed out of his sleeping bag grabbing the redheads arm and pulling him to the exit to the tent, he un zipped it and got out Gaara fallowing behind him, he reached back into the tent to grab his orange and black jacket then zipped it back up. The two walked out of the clearing so there was not a chance of them being heard and then leant on a tree turning to look at Gaara. “Alright what’s wrong?” He asked and blinked seeing the redheads face was a bit flushed.
“I…have a p-problem…I’m i-in ‘it’ again..” Gaara said looking down in embarrassment. The blond stared at him trying to get his tired brain to work.
“In what?”
“H-Heat…” Gaara said looking ashamed and the leaf ninja’s eyes widened.
“What, are you sure?” Naruto asked being the only person who knew the Kazekage went through this thanks to the left behind chakra from Shukaku.
“Y-Yeah I’m s-sure..” Came the shorter male’s reply shivering a little since he was only wearing his pants and his vest, the long coat still sitting in the tent. Naruto noticed his friends shivering and handed Gaara his jacket, who gladly expected it and put it on.
“Haha you look so small in that.” Naruto said playfully and Gaara gave him a glare. “What? Not my fault you stayed short.” He added and leaned back to avoid getting hit in the face. “Sorry.” He said chuckling. “But are you really sure Gaara?”
“Yeah…I’m uh…”
“Hard?” Naruto asked being blunt and the other male blushed and nodded. “Oh boy…ok uh I remember I told you to take cold showers when this happened…but er we are kinda out in the woods..”
“I’ve noticed..” Gaara said and the leaf ninja sweat dropped.
“Well.. you could always go for option two.” Naruto said and the Kazekage blinked looking slightly confused. “You know…solve it yourself?” When Gaara didn’t get it he rolled his eyes and walked over and whispered something into the leader’s ear that made the redhead’s face match his hair.
“N-No! I w-would feel dirty doing something like that!” Gaara snapped and the blond shrugged.
“Ok, ok calm down. I guess we will just have to find a lake or something for you to cool yourself down in, other than that your gonna have to just grin and bear it.” Naruto said folding his arms behind his head. He had known about Gaara’s heat problem for years, he had found out when they were 16. Gaara had been suffering from his heat and didn’t know how to make the pain stop, his siblings had not told him much so the redhead opened up to the blond and told him what was wrong since Naruto was not only his best friend, but a fellow Jinchuuriki, Naruto had helped him and was the only one besides the Kazekage’s siblings who knew the poor redhead went through this every few months.
“Well we have another problem..” Gaara muttered and the blond raised a eye brow.
“What?” He asked staring at the redhead.
“We have to keep Lee away from me.”

Naruto looked over the edge of cliff and could see a river 100 feet down, he lifted his blue gaze to the old bridge made from robe and wooden boards that was across the two cliffs, it was the only way across. “Wow I bet this bridge is over a hundred years old!” Lee said and stepped onto one of the wood planks and sweat dropped when it creaked loudly. “Uh…”
“Yeah is there another way to get over there?” Naruto asked and gasped when Gaara calmly walked onto the bridge. “W-Wait, wait Gaara!”
“Scared Uzumaki?” The Kazekage said looking over his shoulder to smirk at his friend ignoring the creaks the bridge made as he walked over the boards.
“I am not!” Naruto yelled and huffed as he crossed his arms childishly. Lee looked a little worried and fallowed the sand ninja onto the bridge being careful where he stepped, the blond blinked and not wanting to be left behind carefully fallowed Lee and made sure to step where he did. Naruto closed his eyes for a moment when a strong wind blew past and ruffled his clothes, he opened his eyes and looked down but regretted doing so. The bridge was swinging slowly from side to side and made being up so high even worse, when he was a kid he would have ran right across a bridge like this was nothing big but now that he was older he was smarter and knew they had to be careful. He looked ahead of him at the Kazekage, his gaze moving to the gourd. ‘That extra weight from the gourd.. he needs to be really careful.’ The blond thought and ducked as a crow flew right over his head. “Stupid bird!” Naruto yelled and Lee chuckled.
“Nature sure hates you Naruto-kun.” Lee said playfully and the blond glared at him.
“Oh shut up Bushy-Brows!” Naruto yelled loudly making a few birds fly out of a tree and away into the forest.
“Aw Naruto-kun you’re not being very youthful.” Lee said and smirked when his friend twitched.
“I’ll show you youthful once we are off this bridge!” Naruto replied and crossed his arms with a huff.
“Are you challenging my youth?” Lee asked and fake gasped and put up his fists making Naruto laugh.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea to fight on the bridge.” Came the Kazekage’s monotone voice and the two boys glanced over at him. “We are almost th-” Gaara was cut off as the two boards under his feet broke and he fell through them.
“GAARA!” Naruto yelled and Lee shot forward and throw himself onto the bridge, by a miracle he grabbed the sand ninja’s hand before he fell to the waters bellow. He winced hearing the boards creak and scooted back a little moving onto his knees to make it easier to pull the Kazekage up.
“Lee let go.” Gaara said and the leaf ninja’s eyes widened. He was kidding right?
“Do not say such a thing! I am not letting you go!” Lee yelled and started pulling Gaara up but straining a little cause of the leader’s heavy gourd.
“But-”
“No buts! I am not dropping you.” Lee said and used his amazing strength to pull the redhead up and back onto the bridge; he pulled Gaara into his arms and hugged him tightly. “Are you ok?” He asked and tilted Gaara’s chin up as he checked for any sign of an injury. Gaara blushed a dark red and felt his heart beat faster in his chest. ‘T-To close…w-way to close..’ He thought and couldn’t help but noticed Lee smelled like pine, which was a very good scent. He swallowed roughly and glanced at Naruto who was a few feet back looking like he almost had a heart attack. Gaara glanced back at Lee who was watching him a look of worry easily being read in the dark eyes, he felt more heat rise to his cheeks and awkwardly pushed on the older male’s chest telling him to let go, he suddenly gasped and winced when he felt a small pain in a more lower area. Seeing the wince made Lee even more worried. “Gaara are you ok?” He asked again and blinked when Gaara pushed him back and moved away from him.
“I-I’m f-fine..” The Kazekage stuttered and summoned his sand from his gourd and it lifted him and set him down at the end of the bridge.
“Oh yeah redhead’s sand, I forgot he had it.” Naruto said and Lee rubbed the back of his head. “I guess he could have caught himself.” He added and the older male sweat dropped.
“Well I did not mind helping at all.” Lee said smiling and made his way across the bridge and to the other side, the blond fallowing closely behind but more carefully.

For the next few days Gaara did his best not to get close to Lee, even going as far as making a sand wall between them when the leaf ninja walked to close. Lee was slowly starting to get upset not understanding why Gaara was acting that way. The three ninja had stopped at a river and Lee and Naruto sat by a tree talking. “Have you noticed how odd Gaara-kun has been acting?” Lee asked pulling a candy bar out of his backpack and opening it. Naruto coughed on his water and sweat dropped as he glanced at his friend.
“Uh odd? What do you mean?” The blond asked with a fake smile.
“Well he keeps moving away from me…have I done something?” Lee asked wincing a little. ‘I hope I have not done something to upset him..’ He thought and took a bite of his candy bar.
“Maybe he’s just awkward.” Naruto muttered and stretched his sore muscles.
“Why would he be awkward?” Lee asked raising a eye brow and his friend sweat dropped.
“Oh no reason…Mr. dense.” Naruto replied and his friend looked confused. ‘Oh this is pissing me off…I am soo tempted just to tell him..but that would upset redhead and ugh!’ He thought and laid back on the grass. “You really need to open your eyes more…” He muttered.
“What do you mean by that?” Lee asked frowning then glanced over at Gaara who was a little ways down the river, he was sitting down and resting his back on a tree. ‘He looks peaceful at the moment…but then gets so stressed when I get close..what have I done to upset him?’ He thought gritting his teeth then blinked when he saw the Kazekage get up and walk off into the woods. “Well might as well set up camp..I think we all need a break..” He muttered. Gaara walked father into the woods wanting to be alone for a little bit, once he was sure he was far enough away he leaned on a tree and rested his forehead on the cool bark. ‘Why is this happening to me…why do I have to be in love with someone who loves another..why can’t for once things be easy for me..’ He thought and then flinched when he felt a sudden pain in a more lower ‘area’.
“Damn it..” The sand ninja said under his breath and closed his eyes as he set his hand on the tree. ‘I should just give up…if he hasn’t noticed after all this time then he is never going to!...Besides..no one could ever love me in that way..’ He blinked when his vision become blurry and lifted his hand up to touch his cheek. “Tears…?” He whispered and then wiped his sleeve over his eyes but the tears just kept coming, it was like someone had opened up a flood gate in his body. ‘What the hell..I never cry.’ He thought and lifted his hand to grip onto the front of his vest. ‘At least no one is going to see me like this..’ He thought with a sad smile.
“Gaara-kun?” Gaara froze and his eyes widened. ‘Please tell me I am hearing things..?’ The redhead thought and slowly turned to see Lee standing there looking concerned. Upon seeing his friend was crying made Lee freeze as well and his shoulders slumped for a moment before he then walked forward. ‘W-What’s he-’ Gaara was never able to finish that thought since Lee had reached out and grabbed his wrist and pulled the startled leader forward into a full body hug. Gaara stiffened up in his friend’s arms and felt even more tears stream down his face.
“W-What are you d-doing..?” Gaara chocked out and then tried to push Lee away, the only people he was used to hugs from where his siblings and well Naruto, though the blond didn’t care if you wanted a hug or not he would just do it at random.
“Why are you crying?” Lee asked softly and slide his hand up to set it on the back of the small boys head, tucking it under his chin. The leader swallowed the lump in his throat before speaking, his voice sounding like he was in pain.
“I-It’s none of your business…let go of m-me..” Gaara muttered and moved his hands between them and pushed at Lee’s chest. He heard a sigh above him and glanced up to see Lee was frowning down at him.
“Why won’t you tell me what’s wrong?” Lee asked in a low tone and he moved his hands to the smaller male’s shoulders to keep him from trying to slip away, which was just what the redhead was trying to do.
“Let go…and I d-don’t want to t-talk about it, alright? Just l-leave me alone.” Gaara said and looked away from him, moving a hand up to try and wipe away his tears. ‘What is wrong with me! I am showing such weakness...neh and my problem is hurting..’ He thought wincing, he then gasped when Lee pulled him a bit closer.
“Gaara-kun I want to help you…please tell me what is wrong?” Lee asked looking even more worried and leaned to the side a little trying to see his face.
“Nothing is wrong..leave…me alone!” Gaara suddenly yelled and shoved the taller male back, making Lee stumble a little since he was caught off guard. The leader then turned and started walking trying to get away from him. ‘Why can’t he just leave me alone?! Why did he have to give a damn at a time like this..the closer he gets the more pain I feel..’ He thought, his hand moving up to grip his vest again. ‘W-Why did I have to fall in love with him?!’
“Gaara-kun!” Lee yelled after him and started to fallow the upset leader.
“Go away!”
“I will not! It is not youthful to leave a friend alone when they are upset!”
“Look it doesn’t matter ok? I’m f-fine just go away!”
“No! Will you stop?”
“Lee, just leave m-me a-alone!”
“Gaara-kun!”
“I s-said go awa-Ah!” Gaara gasped as the back of his vest was suddenly grabbed and he was spun around, he looked up at Lee who was giving him a very unhappy look. “I d-don’t want to talk to y-you! Go away!” He yelled and tried to shove Lee away again and stepped back not noticing the rock on the ground behind him, he yelped when he suddenly tripped over it and grabbed onto Lee’s vest to try and stop his fall but just ended up pulling him down on top of him. The leader grit his teeth in pain then looked up at Lee who was sitting up to look at him. “J-Just leave me a-alone..” Gaara sobbed and moved his hands up to cover his face. Lee winced looking at him then made up his mind as he moved so he was straddling the smaller boy, he then grabbed Gaara’s wrists and pinned them next to his head, he stared down into the now wide tear filled green eyes below his.
“Alright…I am not letting go till you tell me what is wrong!” Lee demanded and frowned when Gaara started to struggle under him, sighing he moved back a little only to blink when the redhead let out a whimper. “Huh? Am I hurting yo-…” He trailed off when he felt something under him and he looked at Gaara to see his cheeks starting to redden. It took Lee’s brain a few minutes to understand what he was feeling then the taijutsu-specialist started to blush himself. “Uh…G-Gaara-kun..?”
“P-Please g-get o-off me..” Gaara said turning his head to the side in shame. ‘T-This is going on the l-list for one of the w-worst days of my l-life..he is probably disgusted with me..’ He thought and struggled more confused onto why Lee was still holding his wrists. “I-Its..it’s m-my heat ok!” He yelled and glanced at Lee to see the older male’s eye brows had drawn to together.
“Heat?...Like what cats go into?” Lee asked sounding confused.
“Y-Yeah…S-Shukaku left behind chakra inside of me w-when he was being removed..it’s meant to help me if I am ever near death a-again..but h-heat is one of the side effects..” Gaara explained and squirmed around more only to whimper when he felt more pain in his lap. ‘I-It’s getting worse…he is t-to close…why won’t he let go of me?’ He thought.
“…I understand, but why are you crying?” Lee asked and felt the redhead flinch.
“I-It doesn’t m-matter..” Gaara muttered then jerked when Lee moved again, the older male trying to get more comfortable. “N-Neh…get o-off.. your m-making me f-feel more p-pain..” He said then blushed and looked off to the side again.
“Pain?...” Lee asked then stared at the boy bellow him. “Hm..” He pushed Gaara’s arms up above his head and used one of his hands to hold both of the small wrist’s. Gaara’s eyes widened and he stiffened up as he felt the zipper to his trench coat being tugged down to the top of his vest.
“W-What a-are do-” Gaara started but gasped when he felt Lee kiss the side of his neck. ‘W-Why did he j-just…h-h-huh??’ He closed his eyes tightly as the older male kissed at his sensitive skin. “A-Aah…L-Lee stop..w-what are you d-doing?” Gaara asked and struggled trying to free his hands, only to bit his lip when he felt the taller males grip tighten. ‘W-Why is he doing t-this?! “You say that..yet I do not think your body wants me to.” Lee whispered and then tugged the zipper on the leaders coat and pulled it open reveling the soft pale chest. “NO! D-Don’t!” Gaara yelled and then was silenced when Lee placed his hand over his mouth. The sand ninja trembled more and felt his heart was beating so fast he was sure it was going to burst out of his chest.
“Shh…I will not harm you, it’s ok..” Lee whispered and pushed the red bangs out of Gaara’s eyes so he could see him better. The leaf ninja gave a small smile then leant down closer to him and kissed his cheek. He rubbed his cheek lightly till the Kazekage stopped trembling then slide his hand back down his body. “Just relax…” He whispered and then slide his hand into the leader’s pants and started to rub him through his boxers, smirking again when Gaara arched his back and moaned. “I am sorry…I should not have done that..I feel like such a jerk.” Lee said looking down and moved his hand up to cup the younger males cheek. “I should have realized how you felt long ago..I was just so blind to see it..” He said and then smiled at Gaara.
“W-What are you talking about..?” Gaara asked then gasped when Lee pulled him into a embrace, he sat there feeling extremely confused and tried hard to understand what the leaf ninja was trying to say. He blushed deeply when he felt the arms around him tighten.
“I love you..” Lee whispered into the soft red hair and heard the Kazekage gasp again.
“W-What…”
“I said I love you…I truly do..and I am such a jerk for not saying it sooner..” Lee replied and hugged the leader tighter. “I am sorry..for making you cry…” Gaara couldn’t help but cry more though, the pain in his heart slowly fading away. “So…my feelings are returned?” He asked as he leaned back to look at him. It was Lee’s turn to be surprised when Gaara throw his arms around his neck and hugged him. “That is a yes then?” He asked smiling and kissed the side of the Kazekage’s head.
“H-Hai..” Gaara sobbed and they sat like that for a few minutes, holding each other close. The leader slowly pulled back and ran his sleeve over his eyes again glad to see his tears had stopped, he glanced up at Lee to see the taller male was gazing at him and he blushed. “You’re still a pervert…” He muttered and the leaf ninja smirked and lent in to kiss his ear.
“You enjoyed it..” Lee whispered then tilted his chin up so he could kiss him again, though deeper this time. Gaara relaxed and slide his hands to rest them on Lee’s shoulders and kissed back, they pulled back when the need for air got to great and Lee grinned at him. “Hmm...I like kissing you.” He said and Gaara blushed darker and looked off to the side. “So..how long does your heat last?”
“A few more days…why?” Gaara asked glancing up at his lover. Lee smirked and picked him up setting him on his lap, making the Kazekage squeak.
“Well…I guess I should do the youthful thing..and help you out more.” Lee said and chuckled when his new boyfriend turned red.

Naruto sat by the camp site looking bored as hell. ‘Where the hell are they? It has been three hours already!’ He thought then looked up when the other two ninja walked into the clearing. “Jeez where have you two been? Eh..Bushy-Brows why are you walking so close to Gaara?” He asked and sat up straighter. Lee grinned and wrapped his arm around Gaara’s waist pulling him closer.
“We are together! YOSH!” Lee yelled then lent down and kissed the redhead softy. They looked back at the blond who was gapping at them.
“FINELY!! Jeez I was getting tired of you two taking forever! Now go get married and all that jazz.” Naruto said waving his hand making his friends turn red.
“M-Married?” Gaara stuttered and looked up at Lee who looked like he was thinking. “To s-soon!” He said and the older male rubbed the back of his head.
“Can we have ramen now?”
“Naruto-kun! Enough with the ramen! Eat something else for a change!”
“Hell no!”
“It is a wonder Sasuke-kun can put up with you..”
