It started with just a brush of fingertips. The rough pads trailed along her soft skin, setting the nerves on fire as they moved down over her shoulders and to her breasts, cupping them in the equally rough palms. She gasped at the sensations, felt the desire begin to pool in her.
She moaned quietly, and, eyes still closed, reached up to pull his mouth down to hers. Her lips met his, and she devoured him hungrily. He nibbled hers in return before moving them down her jaw to suck lightly on her neck. They trailed further down, tasting her skin, caressing her breasts with just a hint of a touch.
She arched under him, desperate to feel more, but he was just out of reach, holding himself away, making her crazy. "Please..." she moaned.
His lips took one nipple into his mouth and sucked on it and she arched again, the desire curling, burning brighter. One had cupped her other breast and began teasing the nipple while he tormented her. She moved slightly on the bed, head rolling from side to side. There was more, she knew it.
And as she had the thought, she heard the rustle of fabric as the sheet was moved aside. His lips were once again on hers and she wove her fingers through his hair, determined to hold him to her. He settled between her legs and she wrapped them around him.
A moment later, he moved, slipping into her. She broke the kiss, another sound breaking from her throat as she felt filled with him. They lay there a second, savoring the closeness, kissing lightly. Then the tension grew again, and she moved just a bit. He took the signal and started a slow thorough rhythm. They moved together, their bodies attuned to each other.
The pleasure built much more quickly than either expected. Their hands met, fingers entwined, and the tenor of their loving changed, became more desperate. The tempo sped up, she shifted just a bit and he went deeper. Their lips met once more, in a sloppy, heated kiss.
As the fire built, engulfed her, she felt herself getting close to the edge. She cried out as he pushed her further, willing her to go off the edge. She opened her mouth to say his name...
Sakura woke abruptly, sitting bolt upright in bed. The first thing she noticed was how stuffy it was in the room, and how hard it was for her to breathe. Momentarily disoriented, she tried to figure out why.
Then the dream came back to her in a rush and her arousal was sudden and violent. Still trying to catch her breath, she untangled herself from the sheets and padded over to the window to push it further open. It wouldn't do much. Summer in the Leaf was intense and they were experiencing a heat wave on top of it.
She crawled back into bed, pushed the sheet aside and, after a moment's hesitation, divested herself of her t-shirt, finally laying down in only her panties. She tossed first onto her right side, then her left before flopping back onto her back. Glancing at the beside clock, she's groaned quietly. It wasn't yet four and she didn't need to be ready until six. And she didn't expect him to show until closer to seven.
She rolled again, trying once more for comfort, but the arousal was insistent. Her legs moved almost of their own accord. She had to get rid of it. She contemplated a cold shower, but it was a myth, she knew, having tried it, unsuccessfully, on other nights.
So instead, she turned back onto her back, and slid her hand between her legs. Sighing, she murmured his name...

He sat on the roof outside of her window. He, himself had been plagued by dreams, not all of them good, and had given up trying to sleep some time ago. He lay back against the pitch of the roof, trying to sort through his dreams when he heard the window move. He glanced down, but from his perch he couldn't see anything. He heard her huff, then move away from the window again. Curious, he crept closer to the edge of the roof and sat still, listening.
He wasn't disappointed. He could hear her tossing and turning, grumbling to herself. She sighed, then turned again. Once more, then she stopped altogether. He strained a little further, listening intently.
Yet again a sound escaped, but this time it was different. The frustration shifted into something else, and the sighs softened. He heard the rustle of fabric once more, then it got quiet for a few minutes.
He lay quietly in the dark, the sounds of the village quiet around him, and let his mind wander back to his dreams. He was sorting through them again, having put a number of them away. As his mind went to the last one he'd been having when he woke, he thought he heard something through the open window.
He tilted his head and listened. There it was again. It was a bit too quiet for him to make it out, so he slipped silently over the edge of the roof and, with chakra infused feet, crouched on the tiny balcony outside her window.
Then she did it again. She's said something. And as he stood there, the smothering heat of the summer pressing in on them, the sounds of the night even quiet because of it, he realized what the sound was and the blood drained from his face as he realized it.
"Kakashi..."
He poised there another moment, unable to believe what he'd heard. He couldn't move, at that moment, he couldn't remember how. Were it not for his incredible chakra control, he might well have fallen the three stories to the ground. Thankfully, he didn't need to be able to think to maintain it.
He swallowed and the sound was loud in the night. He froze again, afraid she'd heard, but by the sound of it, she was too distracted to take notice. Unable, or unwilling - he wasn't sure, to move, he stayed where he was and listened.
She was moving on the bed. In the silence, he could hear her as she moved, her quiet moans obvious. "Yes, Kakashi, please....more." She moaned incoherently another moment, then, he heard a muffled, "Yes! Kakashi YES!" and then all he could hear was her panting.
He stared at the window another few minutes, listening to her breathing even out. When he realized she'd fallen asleep, he shook himself mentally and slipped back up onto the roof.
He lay back against the pitch again and considered what he'd heard. Somehow, it seemed, that his teammate and former student had been imaging him. It was his turn, now, to be uncomfortable. He adjusted himself and gave in to the idea of spending another two very long hours on her roof.

She sighed quietly, glancing once more at the clock. She'd only been asleep another twenty minutes. She lay a bit longer, considering the shadows as they moved across the ceiling. Why? Why couldn't she get her mind off of him? Why did she need to be plagued by him?
It was bad enough that he took up her thoughts during the day. At the hospital, she found herself daydreaming lately about him. She couldn't understand it. It was true that they had the mission coming up. She had been thinking about that. And information-gathering mission, they'd been told, but their secrecy and the mission's ranking - S this time, meant that it wasn't going to be quite that simple.
They had started to spend a bit more time together to work out the details of their cover. But she also didn't think that was the problem, either. So, why?
Finding no answers in the shadows, she got up and turned on a light, belatedly remembering that her window was open. She snatched her t-shirt up off the floor and pulled it over her head. Yawning, she stumbled into the shower and, despite the heat, turned the water to hot.
She let the water wash over her, beating through the fog. She would need a strong cup of tea before she left, that was for sure. When the water started to cool, she scrubbed off and climbed out. Wandering into the room, she toweled her hair dry and grabbed the comb off of her dresser and began pulling it through.
With one hand, she yanked open the small wooden dresser and it squeaked it's protest into the humid air. She dug out panties, bra and her bandages. Shoving it closed with her hip, she moved over to the bed and dropped them and the towel on top of the sheets. She pulled the panties and bra on, the moved over to the closet. She snorted at the row of uniforms lined up in the closet, grabbed one and pulled it on, zipping it up the side. She wrapped her leg, pulled on the shorts and then her overskirt.
Then she heard it, the deliberate sound and called through the window softly. "Come in, I'm decent."
She heard the quiet chuckle, then he dropped his pack through the window and followed it a few seconds later.
"Should I even bother mentioning that I have a door? And what the hell are you doing here so early?" She scowled at him, but there was no heat in it.
His eye crinkled over the face mask, and he shrugged negligently. Then the crinkle disappeared. "It's too hot to sleep."
She snorted at that, then stepped over to her pack against the wall. It was fuller than usual, for the sake of their cover, so she inventoried the pack, making sure that everything was there before pulling it closed. She lifted it, glanced over her shoulder at him. "I need tea."
She set her pack by the front door and went into her tiny galley kitchen. The stove only had two burners, but it was enough for her. She spent most of her time eating the hospital food or ninja rations, that the most she usually did at home was tea of a bit of soup. She opened the refrigerator and pulled out her last bottle of cold tea. Holding up, she sent him an inquiring look.
"Thank you, I could use some." Grabbing to glasses, she pulled out one of the ancient chairs at her rickety kitchen table and sat down. Kakashi eyed the other chair dubiously, but sat anyway and took the glass she offered. "Thank you." He drank deep, knowing he'd need the kick of caffeine to get him going after the night he'd had.
She considered him over her glass. Something was bothering him, but it wasn't for her to pry. "How long until we get there again?" She drank again, then emptied the bottle between the two of their glasses before tossing it in the bin.
"It'll take about two days. We'll have to camp one night as there aren't any inns between here and there."
She nodded, knowing that even if there was an inn, they'd likely camp anyway. Ninja were used to it. "Any reason to wait to get started?" She pointed a thumb over her shoulder, indicating they were an hour ahead of her schedule and probably a solid two ahead of his.
"No reason why not." She rinsed the glasses out and put them in her dish drainer, shoved the chair under the table and headed for the front door. She looked around to check the lights, but apparently Kakashi had already taken care of them. She checked her two tiny windows and then headed to the front door. She picked up her pack and headed through the door Kakashi held open for her.
She glanced at him thoughtfully, but dismissed her thoughts. She was now on a mission and needed to start thinking like it. He followed her out the door, and she locked it behind him. Stowing the key in her pack, she settled it on her back, and adjusted the straps. Then turning, She jumped over the guard rail outside her door and leapt lightly to the ground, Kakashi following her a few seconds later. They turned toward the East Gates and started along their way.
As they moved through the East Gate, they could just see the sun rising ahead.
