A/N: This is the sequel to Always There; you don't need to read to know what's going on, but it might explain somethings. This is also very long and I had to break it up into three separate parts, each will posted at the end of the week, with the final chapter on Naruto's b-day with him topping, since so many of ya'll asked for it XD.
Un-beta-ed
“Mommy!”
Six-year-old Naruto ran into the house, dropping his bag in the doorway and kicking his shoes off. He was followed closely by two stoic Uchiha’s who removed their shoes in a calmer manner. The blond launched himself into his mothers waiting arms and planted a wet kiss on her cheek. He turned in the arms and flashed a bright smile at Mikoto who was sipping at some tea.
Ever since Naruto and Sasuke had started first grade three months ago, it had become an unmentioned tradition that the two boys stopped by the Uchiha’s house after school, since it was closer to the schoolyard. There, Kushina and Mikoto would greet them and after a small snack, they would part separate ways. Earlier in the year, the two had played outside due to the nice weather, but winter was quickly approaching and it wouldn’t do to get them sick.
She looked over her cup at her two boys and she noticed the rumpled look her youngest wore. “Sasuke, what happened?”
“He was attacked by bunches of girls at school today,” Naruto chirped happily.
Mikoto turned towards her eldest. “Itachi, didn’t you do anything?”
Itachi shrugged, “You asked me to walk them to school, my brotherly jobs end when they pass through the school gates,” he answered and looked at Naruto. “I’m sure Naruto can tell you what happened.”
The eldest Uchiha wasn’t in a good mood. Even though this wasn’t their first day of school, he still couldn’t take Naruto with him to his school because they went to different buildings now. Now that the autumn was fading, showing the first signs of winter, he was loaded down with homework; thus preventing him from spending time with Naruto.
Naruto had been nervous on the first day of school and wanted Itachi to walk him to school, since his parents were busy. The raven had agreed and the young boy had stuck close to him the whole walk, asking all sorts of questions, while Sasuke trailed behind slightly; annoyed that he couldn’t bring his stuffed cat with him.
Instead, he had to leave the little gray tabby looking…thing at home. Itachi had scared his brother into leaving it by telling him that the cat’s eye would fall off if he brought it to school. He had stood in Sasuke’s doorway while his sibling had placed the ratty animal on the windowsill so he could see him when they came home. Itachi was certain that those button eyes were staring at him as they walked down the street.
Sasuke stalked past him to the schools gates and leaned against the outer wall, leaving Itachi and Naruto at the edge of the gates. It wasn’t until the blond found that Itachi wasn’t in the same building that he burst into tears. He had wanted the elder brother to be with him on his first day of ‘actual’ school; preschool didn’t count in his mind.
It took a while, but Itachi was able to calm the young blond down and carefully wiped his face. He reminded Naruto that he was a big boy now and he was brave enough to go to school without him. For added measures though, he told him that he would see him at the end of the day.
The news had brightened Naruto up, and after giving Itachi a hug goodbye, tugged Sasuke through the gates into the schoolyard.
Three months later, it was Sasuke and Naruto running ahead of Itachi to get to school. Usually, they would each give him a hug before he left to walk the rest of the block to his school. But lately, the gesture had been rushed in their hurried attempt to go see friends. And today, he hadn’t gotten one from the blond.
Itachi felt cheated.
And he didn’t like that Sasuke was able to play with Naruto more than he could. It irked him to no end that they were in the same class and were able to spend the entire day together along with others he didn’t know. Three years after his eighth birthday, Naruto was still special to him and he held him close to his heart. To add insult to injury; ever since Naruto’s last birthday, Sasuke and Naruto were on much better terms.
The two females looked at the youngest child and he shrugged. “All they said was that they thought he was cute. And then one of the girls said she was going to be engaged to him,” He paused. “I asked ‘Tachi what she meant when we came home, but he wouldn’t answer me.”
“But that doesn’t explain why he’s so dirty,” Kushina said, setting the blond down.
“I turned around to say hi to Kiba and when I turned back, he was gone. There was just a pile of girls where he once stood; they might have attacked him,” he raised his hands up and brought them down to simulate a wave. “Like the waves attacked daddy at the beach this summer.”
Mikoto sighed. “Itachi had the same problem when he entered school too. But he did something to keep them away; he just hasn’t told me what it was yet.”
A small hand tugged at Kushina’s pants and she looked down to see Naruto with a questioning look on his face. “Mommy, what does ‘engaged’ mean?”
The redheaded female squatted down and ruffled her son’s hair. “An engagement is a promise to marriage.”
“Like you and daddy?”
She nodded. “Yes. It lets other people know that even though their not married, they still love each other and will be together soon.”
Naruto’s face scrunched up. “So Sasuke’s going to be engaged to all those girls?” he turned to his friend. “You’re not allowed over anymore; you’re going to be contaminated with cooties.”
Sasuke sniffed. “I’m not marrying any of them; they’re too annoying. Besides, you have to love someone in order to marry them.”
Blue eyes narrowed in concentration. “Does that mean that I have to marry ‘Tachi? Cause I love him, but I also love mommy and daddy.”
Laughter sounded from Mikoto and Kushina as the two young boys tried to wrap their minds around the thoughts of love and marriage. Once their laughter died down, Kushina reassured Naruto, telling him that you only married one person.
“Then I’m going to marry mommy when I grow up,” Naruto exclaimed
The young Uchiha frowned. “But that will mean that you’ll have cooties too. Then you won’t be able to come over either.”
He stomped his foot. “Only girls have cooties, and mommies aren’t girls. They’re mommies.”
Itachi leaned against the wall. “But you love your father too, won’t it make him sad if you don’t marry him?”
Naruto looked crestfallen and Kushina reassured him while Mikoto scolded Itachi for confusing the blond. Itachi merely shrugged and announced that he had homework to do and that he would be in his room. They watched him leave, pausing only to grab a cookie from the ceramic jar on the countertop before he vanished from the kitchen.
“Honey, you can’t marry me. I’m already married to your daddy,” Kushina said softly and tears started to form in Naruto’s eyes. “But you’ll find someone else to marry; someone who you’ll love with all your heart.”
“You don’t love me?” Naruto choked out.
She shook her head quickly. “No, I do love you sweetheart; but your father asked me first.”
Conflicting emotions played out on Naruto’s face and before his mother could say anything else to comfort him, the blond vanished from the kitchen. She blinked at his reaction and stood up quickly but the slamming of the front door never reached her ears. Behind her, Sasuke placed a plate on the table and jumped on the barstool.
“He probably went to Itachi's room; ‘cause big brother has all the answers.”
A long list of fractions stared at him and underneath that stack of workbooks was another book filled with vocabulary words he needed to learn for this weeks test. Next to the desk, his backpack was laying haphazardly, textbooks and pencils sprawled all over the floor.
Itachi resisted the urge to kick it over, making an even larger mess in his room and instead turned back to the papers on his desk. At age eleven, he was considered a genius but that wasn’t enough for his father. He had to act like one as well. Straight A’s were expected, as where the advanced classes that would be offered next year.
And Itachi was tired of it. Tired of the arguing about his wanting to spend more time with his friends and doing things he wanted to do. But his father would have none of it, saying that he would need to think about the future and only good grades, hard work, and determination were going to get anything done.
So when his most recent report card came home, his father had been furious to find a few B’s in his classes. His mother had tried her best to calm the man down, but he insisted that as the eldest child, Itachi needed to set an example for Sasuke. He had even suggested that Itachi wasn’t serious about school anymore and that he needed to act more mature for his age.
The next few days were stressful as everyone in the family seemed to tiptoe around Itachi and Fugaku but one well-placed visit from two hyper blonds had helped to ease the tension. Nowadays, Fugaku wasn’t as harsh about the school subject, but the conversation still hung in Itachi’s mind and he wasn’t one to be underestimated. The desire to prove his father wrong was driving him to point of exhaustion and all he wanted was the simple praise or that he was doing something right.
The door flew open, making Itachi’s head jerk to the side and his eyes narrowed in anger at being disturbed so rudely, but they softened when they saw the blond head of hair.
He should have known; Naruto never knocked.
His gaze swept over the red, tear streaked face and he instantly gestured the child over. Naruto ran over to him and crawled up on his lap, pressing his face into the folds of his shirt. He ran a gentle hand over his back as the child let out a muffled sob.
“What’s wrong Naruto?”
“I’m not loved.”
Itachi cocked his head. “What makes you say that?”
“Mommy said that she can’t marry me ‘cause daddy already did. That means that she can’t love me anymore,” the child wailed.
A small chuckle escaped his throat as he ran a hand through the blond locks. Pale fingers grasped his chin gently and tilted Naruto’s head up so they were looking at each other. “Naruto, just because your mother is married to your father doesn’t mean they don’t love you. There’s a difference between the love of those who are married and the love that a parent holds for their child.”
“I don’t understand.”
Itachi smiled. “There are many different forms that love can take. The love you have for Sasuke is different from the love you have for your parents.”
“But it doesn’t feel different.” Naruto stated, “How can you tell the differences ‘Tachi?”
The raven pulled him closer. “That’s something you’ll figure out as you grow up.”
Naruto pouted. “Growing up sounds confusing,” silence settled between them until Naruto spoke up again. “So, since I love Sasuke, does that mean I need to marry him?”
“No,” Itachi answered quickly.
The child’s eyebrows knitted together. “Then, does that mean I get to marry you since you take care of me like daddy takes care of mommy? ‘Cause I wouldn’t mind that; ‘Tachi always takes good care of me.”
The statement was so said so innocent and lovingly that it made him freeze. The simple thought that the blond had that much trust in him filled him with warmth that made Itachi want to pull the child closer and never let him go. It was as if the statement had told him he was doing something right for the child.
“Naruto...” he breathed.
Blue eyes widened and Itachi felt the small hands grip at his arms. “’Tachi, I forgot to give you a hug this morning,” Naruto chirped and then hesitated as he noticed Itachi’s face. “’Tachi, what’s wrong? You look like you’re going to cry.”
Itachi shook his head and pulled Naruto closer so he could bury his nose in the blond locks. Staying so close made it feel like all the pressure had gone away and he didn’t want it to end. He heard Naruto call his name and soft, gentle hands brushed at his face.
“What’s wrong ‘Tachi? You're crying.”
Itachi shook his head and placed a loving kiss on the blonds’ forehead. “Nothing, but I know that you’ll make someone very happy one day.”
Naruto cocked his head at the sentence and tried to understand what his older brother was saying, but nothing came to mind. “’Tachi?”
He wiped the wet marks away from his face and looked at the young child. “It’s nothing Naruto. Just stay like you are and you’ll find someone who will love you forever and they’ll make you happy.”
“But that’s you ‘Tachi. You always make me happy.”
Itachi’s arms tightened around Naruto’s body and he simply shook his head at the child; thankful for the innocent nature that was Naruto.
17 years later
A loud scream echoed throughout the house and two sets of eyes glanced up at the ceiling to the second floor. The two females wore an amused look on their faces and they shared a knowing glance before going back to the task they were working on originally.
“I’ve been dying to see someone from my family wear this dress, but we only had boys,” a giggle escaped her mouth. “I’m excited that I’ll get to see it worn at least one more time.”
“Fugaku and I eloped so we didn’t exactly have the wedding my parents always predicted for me, but thinking back on it, seeing the look on their faces was worth it,” Mikoto said as she paused so she could stretch her back. “But now I can see my oldest get married in a way that I never saw myself.”
Kushina frowned and appeared thoughtful. “Is it bad that we’re forcing old wedding dreams and desires onto our children?”
They looked at each and shook their heads. “Nah.”
Another strangled yell sounded from the upstairs room, followed by the sounds of a door slamming and feet thundering down the steps. Within moments, Naruto skidded into the kitchen, nearly slipping on the wood floor due to his socks.
“What the hell is in my room?”
“Oh! Sasuke informed us that he was in charge of the bachelor party, so I figured you would need to wear something nice for it tonight. Something nice for Itachi.”
Blue eyes widened and muscles tensed in his body as Naruto realized what the outfit in his room was now for. He shook his head and slowly started to back away from the two females who were creeping closer with each step he took. When he first saw the outfit, he had an idea of what it was for and screamed at the thought; there was no way his mother would do that to him. But now his fears were confirmed and the only thought on his mind was to bolt.
The door was only eleven steps away and it would take less than a minute to get to the car. They couldn’t catch him once he was in the car.
He turned to run, but his sock covered feet slipped out underneath him, costing him precious seconds. Within minutes, he was tackled to the ground, screaming profanities at the two women until a pair of shoes stepped into his line of sight. His eyes traveled up, hoping to see Itachi but instead saw someone much worse.
Kiba.
The shaggy haired male cracked his knuckles. “Don’t look at me for help; they paid me $100 to help them tie you down and I’m going to enjoy every penny of this.”
Sasuke pressed his back against the wall as sweat dripped down his face. He was cornered and there was no way out, unless he tried to duck between those open legs. The thought made him cringe and he knew he would horribly scarred, but nothing could top walking in on his parents having sex on the kitchen table.
He shivered at that memory and swore he would never look at a wooden surface the same way again.
Steeling his nerves, he darted forward, ducking under the spread legs. Once free and on the other side, he made towards the stairwell, knowing that years of sliding down the banister with Naruto when they were younger was going to come into handy today.
The wooden railing was just within reach and all it would take was one well-placed jump to be out of reach and sliding down to safety.
There was a rough sensation on the side of his body and he blinked as his head collided with something. When did they put carpet on the wall? The realization that his brother had actually tackled him to the ground sunk in quickly. He squirmed as he was picked up and was pressed against the wall, with his hands pinned tightly over his head.
“I know you’re in charge of our bachelor party tonight, Sasuke,” Itachi whispered in his ear. “And a word to the wise, if I see any strippers; regardless of gender...” A hand released his wrists and traveled down to harshly cup his crotch. “You’ll have to find something else to wrap your hand around. Do I make myself clear?”
Sasuke nodded quickly and the hands released their grips, allowing him to slump against the wall. He watched as Itachi stalked away, clearly unhappy about being dragged to his own bachelor party and he let out a shaky breath before standing up again.
“Stupid brother, how the hell are you supposed to have a bachelor party without strippers, it’s a rule,” he muttered but on the inside, he was glad that he had enough insight on Itachi to know not to bring strippers. Although, he was fairly certain that the groom never had the last say in his own bachelor party.
Then again, that groom had never been Itachi Uchiha.
Nodding to himself and proud that he would be able to keep a rather important part of his body (which he happened to enjoy, thank you very much), he glanced at his watch and moved to the stairs once again. He was overseeing the final preparations to the place they had rented for the night. Most of the decorations and furniture would be set up by now and it was his job to make sure it was set up correctly.
He was going to meet up with Kiba who was dealing with Naruto while he dealt with his brother. While the shaggy haired male was a little…well maybe quiet a bit disorganized, he knew how to throw a party. He was also Naruto’s best man and Sasuke could already see disaster coming from that combination. But as long as tonight ran smoothly, his future with both his brother and best friend would run smoothly.
Starting his car, he smoothly backed out of the driveway and moved down the road. His fingers tapped against the steering wheel in beat to the song that played on the radio while he hummed along with it. There were still a few things that he needed to do before the wedding that weekend but they wouldn’t take long; although he was dreading giving that speech.
The shrill ringing of his phone made him turn the volume down and a knowing smirk slipped across his face. He knew that ringtone and he would bet his entire life savings that he knew why his brother was calling him.
“Yes Itachi?”
“Where are my keys?”
The voice was dripping with venom but its affect was lost on Sasuke. “Which one?”
“All of them,” he growled
Sasuke’s eyes darted to the small pile of metal keys that were innocently lying on the leather interior. While Itachi had his own car, it wouldn’t do to just take the keys to that car; Sasuke had also taken the keys to his fathers, mothers and the three four-wheelers that sat in the shed in the backyard. He wasn’t about to risk his brother tying to leave today.
He had even gone as far as taking apart the bicycles in the garage and calling all the nearest taxi companies to keep them from showing up at the house. All of their close friends and relatives also knew about tonight and were conveniently not answering their phones.
Sasuke wasn’t evil, he was just being a good brother.
“Did you check under the sofa?” Sasuke asked, trying to picture his brother crawling on the ground as he looked for the means to escape. His eyes widened when a yes was forced out and he held back the laughter that tried to escape his mouth. “Well, what about the toilet, you threw them in there once when you were younger.”
“That was you Sasuke,” Itachi reminded him calmly.
“Ah, so it was. Then I don’t know but I’m getting ready to go through a tunnel so I’m going to lose you soon.”
“Soon to be dead little brother of mine…there are no tunnels in the area!” Itachi yelled into the phone.
Sasuke merely shrugged even though Itachi couldn’t see and snapped his phone shut. Sure there was going to be hell to pay tonight or at least in the next few days, but it was his job as a brother to make sure that everything was running smoothly. Kushina and his mother were taking care of Naruto and promised to have him ready by tonight; whatever the hell that meant.
All he knew was that he was to pick up Naruto a little after the party started. He already had people who promised to watch Itachi and make sure that he wouldn’t duck out of the party while he was gone.
Overall, everything was covered from every angle and he knew that eventually, Itachi would thank him.
Itachi loved his little brother; he really did. All the teasing and destroying of his childhood was just his way of showing that he cared. After all, wasn’t it the big brothers job to make their younger siblings miserable?
So why was it the other way around this time?
He was perfectly content this morning to sleep the morning away with his blond snuggled next to him, but apparently at eight, their door had flown open and Naruto was snatched away. Somehow, he had slept through the whole commotion and when he woke up the spot where Naruto had been sleeping was cold and he was alone.
Sasuke instead stood smirking in the doorway, stating that Naruto had been spirited away back to his own home since his mother was missing him. Itachi didn’t buy the lie for a moment but let it slide as the silence of the house registered in his mind. Normally around this time, the large house was bustling with people running to meetings and due to the wedding, the chaos had only increased.
“Where’s everyone?” he asked.
“Gone,” Sasuke answered. “They’re helping to put the final touches on the bachelor party.”
Within a moment, Itachi’s alarm clock shattered into pieces next to Sasuke’s head. But his brother was already out of the room, laughing at his reaction. Now after everything had settled down and his little brother had escaped, he was left alone in house. He wasn’t sure how everyone was able to orchestrate this whole thing without his knowledge, but then again he had been rather busy for the past few weeks.
When he was first told that they were going to have a bachelor party, he had laughed it away. There were so many other things that needed to be worked on and he was surprised that the wedding planners hadn’t collapsed under all the plans that his mother had asked for. Both her and Kushina had decided that the wedding would need a female touch to it, insisting that they help plan everything and Itachi was more than happy to let them set everything up.
That had been a little over a year ago and with the wedding looming in a week; Itachi was starting to realize how much he should have paid attention to their planning. But as luck would have it, he was overwhelmed by other details regarding his future.
He had proposed formally on Naruto’s birthday almost a year ago and then surprised him with a new apartment about thirty minutes away from their neighborhood. They spent that night christening the rooms in the apartment and overall enjoying each other’s company.
His fingers played with the simple gold band around his ring finger, absently thinking that Naruto’s birthday was coming up in two weeks and he still didn’t know what to get him. It proved to be a frustrating problem that bothered him. He truly loved his blond, wanting him to be happy and he didn’t want to give him some half assed gift.
It didn’t help that they would be away during his birthday for their honeymoon. Because they were going to be in Europe, it would be hard to bring a large present with him and he didn’t want to give it early. Growling at the frustrating problem, he thrummed his fingers along the armrest of the sofa, glaring at the wall until Sasuke showed up.
After a brief glaring battle with Sasuke, Itachi finally moved from the couch so he could get ready. Thirty minutes later, they were leaving the house that had been his prison for the majority of the day and if Sasuke hadn’t child locked the side of his door, he would have bolted as soon as the car stopped. However, his brother was there to drag him inside, smiling all the way.
The music was loud inside the large rented room as their friends talked to each other. Since they weren’t having a ‘normal’ wedding, Naruto declared that it would be alright to have a bachelor party that wasn’t normal either, insisting that their female friends could come as well. Kiba had tried to argue that it went against, what he called, the bachelor party protocol, but Naruto held firm in his decision.
Itachi’s eyes skimmed the floor, checking for anybody who wasn’t supposed to be here, namely the strippers that Kiba had wanted so badly. Seeing none, he moved into the open area while Sasuke slipped away towards the door again, unseen by his brother. Instead, Itachi was too busy trying to find Naruto so they could leave as quickly as possible.
“Itachi! I see that Sasuke finally dragged you out of your little brooding corner,” a loud voice declared and Kiba danced into view, holding a cup. He gestured towards the room. “So, what do you think?”
“Where’s Naruto?”
“One track mind I see, but that’s cool too. At least I know my buddy is in good hands. Your brother went to go pick up Naruto and he’ll be back shortly, but let me tell you; the wait will be worth it.”
Itachi rolled his eyes and moved away from the loud man, intent on finding someone he could talk to. Spying Shikamaru resting on one of the chairs near the back of the room, he made his way over towards him. Perhaps the lazy genius could give him some advice on what to get Naruto for his birthday.
“Sasuke, I swear if you take me in like this, I’m going to kill you.”
“Relax Naruto, you look fine, they did a nice job,” Sasuke answered back, turning into the driveway. “Besides, it kind of reminds me of the time we dated and you lost that bet. I almost miss those days,” he finished softly.
Red bloomed across Naruto’s face as he remembered the bet he had lost years back. At the time it had been embarrassing, but now it was a good memory of the time they had been a little closer than friends before they accepted the fact that it wouldn’t work out.
“But I thought that you swing the other way now,” Naruto stated as the car turned off. Silence greeted him as Sasuke exited the car, moving around the outside to open the passenger side of the car. It opened with a soft click before a warm hand circled around his wrist, tugging him out.
“I do, but every now and then, I’ll think back to those days and remember the times we spent together,” the door slammed shut behind them and Naruto stumbled along the walkway. “Now, are you ready to see Itachi?”
Naruto shook his head and tried to turn around but the blindfold around his eyes made it hard to see where he was going. His arms flailed wildly as he tried to regain his balance before he squawked as an arm grabbed his waist. With a loud grunt coming from Sasuke, he felt his body being hoisted into the air before his stomach was resting on the other males shoulder. “Sasuke, put me down!”
“Nope, I don’t think I will; can’t have our fair maiden hurting herself before her big night,” the comment earned him a harsh smack to the head, but it did nothing to quell Sasuke’s laughter, which echoed loudly in the night.
Wrapping his hand around the doorknob, he gave it a slight flick of the wrist before kicking it open. He grinned at some of their friends as they stared at the mass of white resting on his shoulder as he moved further into the room. Naruto was tense as he kept walking and he knew that the blond could hear the large amount of people that were present; no doubt his face was already a bright red behind the white veil and black blindfold.
“Sasuke, I swear I’m going to kill you after this.”
“Uh huh, sure. Right after Itachi finishes screwing you in that the dress,” Sasuke answered as he looked around for his brother. Realizing that he couldn’t find his brother in the mass of people, he decided to call out for his brother. “Hey Itachi, I have a present for you, a cute little blond all wrapped up in white.”
The room quieted down to a soft murmur as people stepped out of the way, making a small path towards Itachi. Naruto’s body was squirming as he tried to get down, but Sasuke brought his arm up to grab at the kicking legs, wincing slightly when tanned fists hit his back.
Finally seeing his brother waiting for him with a blank stare, he smirked slightly as he set Naruto down in a fluff of white material. He leaned closer towards the blond, groping at his ass as he whispered. “That was for old time’s sake, so you won't forget the times we had together. Take care of him,” with an exaggerated display, he pulled the blindfold off, allowing blue eyes to blink rapidly at the bright lights.
When they finally cleared and everything came into view, Naruto found himself staring at Itachi, who had dark eyes locked with his. He felt his face flush red as his fiancé’s eyes trailed up his body, taking in the white wedding dress that hung from his body. The thin spaghetti straps cut low, almost showing off dusky nipples. He shivered at the hungry eyes and he could feel the veil brushing against his back as the air moved around the room.
Overall, it was an embarrassing position.
Behind him, Kiba snorted with laughter. “Look, he’s blushing. He’s like a little virgin, but we know that’s not true anymore.”
Naruto spun around, his mind fully settled on punching his so-called best man, but was halted as an arm wrapped around his waist. He was pulled backwards until he landed in someone’s lap before his head was tilted back. Blinking, Itachi’s face finally came into view, showing amused eyes.
“I like it,” he whispered as his arm tightened around Naruto’s waist. “Is this what you’re wearing for me on our wedding night?”
Naruto squawked and scrambled out of Itachi’s lap. Once he was on his feet, he turned around with a smug look on his face. “You think you’re so funny?” he lifted his leg up, placing a bare foot on Itachi’s knee, silently thanking his mother for not making him wear the heals. His eyes gleamed at the confused look he was given. “Take it off.”
Pale hangs slid under the dress as Itachi kept his eyes locked with Naruto’s. “I’d love to, but I don’t think people want to see me ravish you on the ground, nor would I want them to see it.”
“Not that…this,” Naruto said with a roll of his eyes. He pulled the dress up higher, revealing a dark red garter with a small Uchiha fan pinned on the fabric of black bow. “Your mother seemed to find great humor in this; I fail to see it.”
With a small smirk, Itachi’s hands slipped up Naruto’s leg. He was certain that the bride was supposed to be sitting down during this part, but that was traditional and they were anything but that. A sharp slap to his hands made him stop and he glanced up at Naruto, only to see blue eyes gleaming down at him.
“With your teeth.”
Itachi’s eyes lowered slightly as he dipped his head closer to the soft skin, noting that the leg hair was missing and he wondered if their mothers had shaved it off. He almost laughed at the thought, knowing that Naruto must have screamed at them the whole time, but he pushed the thought aside. He paused to kiss at the skin as he made his way up the tanned leg, stopping once he reached the satin material.
His teeth grabbed at the material, tugging and pulling at it while he watched Naruto’s face. Catcalls were heard around the room as he continued to pull the elastic band off, huffing slightly when it became stuck on the knee. Finally, he yanked it over the small bump, allowing it to slide down his calf.
Pulling it off Naruto’s ankle with his fingers, he smirked at the blushing blond before pulling him down for a fierce kiss. They broke apart before they became too carried away and Naruto leaned in closer so his head rested on Itachi’s shoulder. “You know, they put another one on my left leg, but that one’s supposed to be removed by the groom in the privacy of their room.”
“Who said it has to be their room?” Itachi questioned. “I’m sure any room will do just fine.”
“Everyone’s gonna know,” Naruto said softly as Itachi stood up.
“Somehow I don’t think they’ll care, the music will be loud enough and most everyone here is drunk. I’m sure they won’t even remember,” he stated as he turned to find Sasuke conversing with a random female. “Sasuke, where are the clothes for Naruto to change into? I’m sure mother wouldn’t want the dress ruined with alcohol.”
Sasuke arched an eyebrow but kept the words from leaving his mouth. Instead, he pointed towards the front hallway. “We brought them earlier, take a left at the entrance and a bag will be in there along with a hanger for the dress.”
Itachi nodded his thanks and pulled Naruto after him. Neither missed the sly looks cast their way as they headed towards the empty room but they firmly ignored them in favor of other things. As they entered the room, loud music began to blare in the main hall and Naruto couldn’t help the blush that worked his way up his neck.
“Can’t we do this at home?” he asked, knowing that the answer would be no.
His mouth was covered in another searing kiss that made him wrap his arms around Itachi’s neck. “Are you sure you can wait that long? I saw what that dress hid.”
Naruto gasped as a thigh pressed between his legs. “Bastard,” he muttered before kissing his jaw. “Just don’t ruin the dress.”
Sasuke’s head jerked up as a loud whoop echoed across the room and he watched as Kiba darted towards the front of the building. He felt a sense of dread wash over him as several more whistle and calls sounded from the room. This couldn’t end well.
Excusing himself from the conversation, he moved towards Kiba, pausing when he realized what had everyone so excited.
“Kiba,” he crocked. “What did you do?”
“Oh, I called in some of the girls, can’t have a bachelor party without strippers.”
Sasuke blinked and tried to swallow the lump that had formed in his throat. “My manhood was threatened today if Itachi saw any strippers, and what do I see?”
Kiba laughed, waving a hand. “Relax Sasuke. Itachi is a little busy at the moment; I give them an hour, minimum, before they appear again. Besides, all you have to do is usher him out when they’re done and he’ll never know. Jeez, you’re so uptight. Maybe one of these fine young ladies can take care of that problem.”
He sucked in a deep breath and let it out slowly. Kiba was correct in saying that Itachi would be busy for a while and that they would want to go home when they finished. Besides, the unwelcomed guest had just arrived, it wouldn’t be too hard to convince to leave now, just to be on the safe side.
Turning back around towards the main area, he tensed when he realized how wrong he was. There was no way he could get them to leave; they were already comfortable. The best he could hope for was to distract Itachi enough when he left the room and get him to go home with Naruto.
Taking a post by the entranceway, he kept his back pressed against the wall, waiting to hear the click that would signal the door opening. There was no way he could get them to leave right now and his best plan would to catch his brother on his way out.
When the door finally opened, Sasuke almost missed it due to the female trying to coax him into a separate room. He had already thrown another female out of the building for trying the same tactic but this one was rather persistent. Seeing the door open, he harshly pushed her away, telling her that if she moved, he’d cut her hair off. Rushing forward, he quickly blocked the way into the main room.
“Hey Itachi.”
“Sasuke.”
Fumbling for the right words, Sasuke plowed forward. “So, things have gotten a little hectic in there, too much alcohol; you know how it goes. So I think it would be best if you took Naruto home so no one will tease him.”
Itachi watched him carefully as he straightened out his rumpled dress shirt. His pants hung low on his hips since he was missing the belt, but he considered the loss well worth it. He knew that Naruto wouldn’t want to go back and face everyone since he was certain that it was no secret about what just happened. However, his younger brother was acting odd and after the torment he was put through this morning, he wasn’t about to let Sasuke off that easily.
“Surely it can’t be that bad Sasuke.”
“Oh it is. Vomit and spilled drinks all on the floor and someone tried to start a game of uh, limbo. Just…you wouldn’t like it and as your younger brother and Naruto’s best friend, I’m only looking out for you two.”
A dark eyebrow arched. “I don’t have a car. Let me go ask one of my colleagues if I can borrow theirs.”
“No wait!” Sasuke cried out and his hands fumbled in his pockets. “Here take my car, I don’t need it.”
“How are you going to get home then? I don’t want you riding with anyone if they’re all wasted.”
“I, I’ll take a cab then. And if I can’t find one, I’ll call mother, I’m sure she’ll come and pick me up.”
Finally deciding to take pity on Sasuke, Itachi grabbed the keys from his hands. “Thank you for your generosity Sasuke, I trust the keys to the house are on here as well?” at the affirmative nod of the head, Itachi swept into the room to tell Naruto that they were going home.
Naruto limped from the room with a thankful glance directed towards Sasuke. After he vanished from the building, Itachi turned to Sasuke and nodded before leaving the area as well, letting Sasuke breathe out a sigh of relief. That had been too close.
Sighing, he rubbed the bridge of his nose as he moved back into the room; it was going to be a long night.
