START OF STORY!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m sitting on my rooftop. I stare up at the sky and see the rolling thunder and the coming tears of the sky. I smell the coming storm and steel myself to stay where I was. The gentle winds start to become gusts ready to blow me apart or are they trying to guide me some where safe? It wouldn’t matter soon nothing will matter.
I began to hear the raindrops that come. Two miles…One mile…left. The rain engulfs my being as the rain pounds against my soaked soul. I sit there for what seems like forever, but I know that no matter how long I sit here it will come to an end. Everything…comes to and end. My head starts to feel light with the chilling cold. The rains soon become snow. My skin starts turning a chilling blue. I was ready for this…I’m ready for this. Soon it wouldn’t matter. My vision starts to go black. The dark spot making me feel light and thoughtless. I was ready. Ready to…..
Something went wrong. The rain isn’t the only sound anymore. The crying. The loneliness…I can hear it, but is it my own? I touch my blue hand to my face, but all I can feel is numbness. I start to gently move my self to a standing position. The wind seems to guide me to where I was needed. It was a new concept for me, being needed. If Mother Nature was telling me to go then it must be important right?
I start my slow descent to the ground, to my purpose. I clutch on to the edge of the roof trying to get a grip, but I’m to numb. I land on my back. The wet cold ground was comforting making more black spots appear in my vision. I would have just lain there ready for anything, but the crying interrupted my thoughts again. Was this my only purpose right now? I sigh slightly as I got up. The breeze on my face guiding me to an ally about a few feet from where I was laying.
I lean against the wall, my strength was ready to leave me. Ironic how now I don’t want it to go yet…not yet. I search for the crying. The black spots now seem to become one huge hole in my vision. The white snow now covered the ground. It seemed so pure. So untouched, It invited anyone to taint it. Maybe that was just how I found my self? I sigh again. The black hole becomes bigger. I now can’t seem to differ the two. It contrasts the snow perfectly. The black consumes my vision temporarily again. Leaning against the wall I stumble into a basket that excluded a faint cry. I want to check it out, but I just need a minute.
Getting my bearings again I turn to the noise making basket. There was a blue blanket covered in a light layer of snow. I lift the blanket to my level to check the inside. Puffy black eyes, a pale cherub face with tears stains, and small cold fingers greeted me. He was so small. He looked at me with such hope that I couldn’t bring myself to leave him there again. I finally found my purpose. I need to help this little one and as soon as he doesn’t need me I’ll do what was intended, but not yet.
I pick the small being into my arms. How should I keep the little one warm? I cradle him into my chest hoping to seep the warmth left in my being into his small body. The storm now seems to become worst. I lift my head from my, now, precious bundle. I look up at the sky. Where could I go? I have no home of my own. I look back down to the hopeful boy. I had to try, I reasoned, I need to try. I start my slow descent out of the ally. The black spots start to consume me, but I couldn’t leave now…not yet.
I make my way out of the ally, the wind pushing harshly against me. I followed the gust into a main street of my village. The ghostly street seemed so empty. I try to look for anyone, but who would come to help me? I tried to think, but my head began to pound, I couldn’t think right now. My vision was starting to affect my walking now. I try to look for somewhere at least dry. I feel my self tipping. I couldn’t even do this thing right it seemed. I flip my self to land on my back so I didn’t crush the little one. I start to crawl my way into another ally so we were out of the wind. Curling against the wall I wrap my orange coat around the little one, allowing the darkness to consume my being.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I slowly open my eyes. Red and black consuming my vision as I start to panic. I sit up quickly loosing my breath. I look around trying to decide where I was. I suddenly become worried…I couldn’t find the little one. Forcing my self off the comfy bed filled with red and black silk, I go search for my purpose. I look around the dark dreary room, but see now baby or any clue to where he would be. Seeing a door to my right, the bed was against the left wall, I slowly made my way to the door.
I try to gather courage, I didn’t know why I was scared. All my instincts were telling me to run, but I knew I couldn’t leave the little one here. I finally open the door only to com face to face with a broad chest. I trail my eyes up until I met the most amazing crimson red eyes. I finally took in the whole picture he was glaring. I, finally realizing my situation, Duck my head and tried to get around the beautiful being. Skirting around the man I started to run down the hall way.
I looked behind me to see if he followed, but he was gone. My confusion getting the better of me I wasn’t looking where I was going. I ran hard into a broad chest, landing hard on my tail bone. I trailed up from fine strong legs, to a hard core and finally to those crimson eyes, they held amusement in them.
“ Going somewhere?”
