�� We need
him. He is the one.�

�� Yes I
admit we need him but he is still too young.�

�� If we allow
those demons to run wild any longer we will loose this war. We have already
lost enough soldiers especially when the Uchiha clan was massacred. They didn�t
have time to facilitate the changes.�

�� Yes and
they lost their soldiers as well. It was for the best. A majority of them would
have wound up on their side. You know that.�

�� Fine one
more year that is all we can afford.�

�� Dobe what
in the world are you doing?�

�� What I wanna do.�

�� Get down
here we have a mission.�

�� Fine.� A
blonde yelled from his apartment window and then promptly stuck his tongue out
at the older ninja. Gathering his belongings he stared at a picture that was
hanging from his wall and smiled happily.

�� Maybe I�ll
get to see you again.�

Flashback��..

Five years a go��..

�� Who are
you?�

�� My name is
Itachi, are you alright? Damn those insensitive jerks. Don�t they know that
they aren�t allowed to assault younger nins?�

�� Probably
not.� Trying to get up the young boy hit the ground, and cried out in pain. The
older nin looked down and
shook his head.

�� Where do
you live?�

�� Over
there.� The child said pointing to a wobbly building that was in danger of
collapsing.

�� Not
anymore. Pick a house.�

�� What?�

�� Pick a
house or apartment building that you would like to live in from now on. That
building could fall in on you at any minute.�

�� But it is
the only place that I can afford.�

�� How about
this then, I send you a monthly stipend and in exchange you help me whenever
you can on some of my missions, kinda like a job.
Then you can afford to live else where and you will not be receiving charity.�

�� Oh okay.
But don�t I have to wait for the first check?�

�� You�ll be
fine. Pick the apartment.�

�� Uhmm�.How about that one over there?�

�� A fine choice indeed.� After settling a few details with
the apartment manager in private, the child was led into a beautiful apartment
and jumped when Itachi handed him the keys.

�� All yours. All the manager wants
you to do is pay for the water and electricity, apparently he was desperate to
sell the apartment and thought you would be the ideal candidate so he agreed to
sell you the apartment. Now let�s take a look at your wounds.� After cleaning
and bandaging some of the smaller wounds, Itachi began to work on some of the
other wounds. Then after doing the only healing jutsu he knew he smiled up at
the boy.

�� All
better. Now how about we discuss your first job.� The
boy nodded eagerly.

�� Let�s
start with what�s your name?�

�� Naruto. Naruto Uzumaki.�

�� Okay then,
how good are you at sneaking in to places?�

�� Well
versed, and I get practice all the time.�

�� Okay. I
need you to sneak into the records room at the castle and find my file. I�ll
teach you a jutsu in a little bit so you can make copies. But I need a copy of
every page in my file.�

�� Sure.�

End Flashback��.

�� That had
been five years ago and ever since he had been doing little jobs for Itachi. In
exchange he would send him a considerable amount of money and he would pay for
all his expense and then, instead of wasting the remaining money, he had
started to invest the leftovers into a savings account and to this day had
saved over $15,000 just in case.. He stopped that thought right where it had
been. He didn�t want to think about what could happen to Itachi. True he hadn�t
seen the older Uchiha in three months and the only way he knew that he was
still alive was the monthly stipend that had kept coming in every month.
Meeting his squad at the front gate they started out on their mission.

Au note: hey there! I have had no luck in keeping my
accounts active or updated on a timely basis. However I am going to start. Any
way, I was thinking of mixing things up a little. I need you to vote. In future
chapters I am going to introduce a new breed on nins,
the type that have ten foot tall machines of mass destruction. Introducing: the gundam pilots. I
want to try and change the traditional pairings. There is only one rule.
Naruto/Itachi and Quatre/Trowa� aren�t going to change. For a few
reasons, one my sister will kill me if I split her two favorite gundams up and
two I am a little partial to the ita/naru pairing. So send me your thoughts and ideas on this
and let me know what you think.
