Neji stared at his hands as he sat in a tiny room with nothing more than a bed. “I’m really in trouble this time,” he thought desperately. If only he hadn’t let his guard down. He never did anything so stupid before. He’d thought he found a nice spot to relax before doing some training, a spot that would take care of all the turmoil in his soul. The grass had been so soft and inviting. “Stupid,” he silently screamed at himself.
Not for the first time he glanced around his room. It wasn’t much bigger than the closets at his estate. Hiashi had seen to it that he’d had a nice big room with lots of furniture and decorations. This room was stone from top to bottom. There was a very thin futon mattress taking up nearly half the space. On the far wall was a door frame that housed a toilet. No door, though. Just outside the door to the hallway, that was locked as many times as he’d tried to open it, sat an Akatsuki member.
He had no windows to see outside. There was only one candle in a sconce by the door, which barely shed enough light to see his fingers. He’d been sitting in this near total darkness for almost three days now. The only way he knew a new day had passed was because that idiot, Tobi, insisted on coming and telling him every single time the sun rose.
The lock on the door clicked. Neji braced himself for anything. So far they’d done nothing to him, but he suspected that would change at some point. After all, this was the Akatsuki. Tobi came bounding into the room and Neji sighed, irritated before Tobi even opened his mouth. If it weren’t for the chakra blockers on his wrists and ankles, he would have escaped by now.
Tobi smirked behind his mask as he chanted, “The sun is up. The sun is up. Tobi told you the sun is up. Tobi is a nice boy for giving you information.”
Neji, as always, completely ignored Tobi. Once Neji had stared through Tobi as if he didn’t exist, once he stared at the mattress like it was the most interesting thing he’d ever seen, and the last time Tobi had come in he pretended to be sleeping so heavily that he didn’t wake up to hear Tobi. This time Neji opted for getting up and heading for the bathroom. It helped that he actually had to pee. He wasn’t sure who was bringing him food and drink at night, but it was always there each night and Tobi brought a tray every morning.
Tobi followed Neji. “Tobi thinks you are sweet. Not like the other people Tobi has gotten to watch.” Neji concentrated on his urine. “Tobi thinks he likes Neji more than the other people Tobi had to watch.”
Neji turned his head toward Tobi as if he were going to acknowledge him. He sighed softly before stretching just a bit and zipping his pants back up. He glanced at Tobi for a split second before sidestepping him and lying down on the futon. He’d gotten into the habit of sleeping almost all day and all night. Otherwise, he may have gone insane.
Tobi sat in the dark and watched as Neji drifted off into sleep. When he was sure Neji was asleep he crept closer the futon, watching for any indication that Neji was faking. When there was still no reaction from Neji, Tobi reached out and ran his fingers through that thick brown hair. Tobi leaned down and whispered in Neji’s ear, “I really like watching you.” Tobi stood up and headed back out the door putting the food tray he’d brought with him inside the room before locking the door again.

Neji sighed, lying on the futon and staring at the ceiling. It had been two weeks now. Tobi still insisted on coming to tell him the sun was up every morning. The last two days, Neji had been glad for the interaction. It was true he was generally a solitary person, only interacting with those around him when it was necessary, but he’d come to enjoy the game of ‘pretend he’s not there’ that he played with Tobi. Tobi was almost as infectiously annoying as Naruto.
Neji frowned. It was hard to think about Naruto. If he hadn’t had that fight with Naruto just before he left to train, he might not have gotten distracted by the peace and quiet so easily. Tears threatened his eyes as he thought about his ex-boyfriend. He tried not to think about the good times he’d shared with Naruto and how stupid their fights were, especially the last one when they’d broken up.
“Neji, are you seriously telling me that you aren’t going to miss me when you are gone training for like a month with your uncle?” Naruto was absolutely furious. He’d just told Neji how much he was going to miss Neji while he was gone and Neji had just casually tossed his hair and shrugged it off.
“It’s not like I will have time to miss you, Naruto. Besides, you need to learn to accept long absences if we are both going to continue to be shinobi. After all, we aren’t always going to be able to go on the same missions.” Neji had thought the explanation was perfectly reasonable. He reached his hand out to the man on the bed beside him. “It’s not like I won’t be back.”
Naruto’s eyes were rimmed with tears he refused to let fall. “You just don’t get it, Neji. You just don’t get it.”
Neji’s eyes were wide with surprise at the resignation in Naruto’s voice. “What don’t I get? Please tell me.”
Naruto shook his head and got off Neji’s bed, grabbing his recently discarded shirt. “I can’t do this anymore, Neji. I can’t explain to you what you don’t understand. I can’t be the only one who puts feelings into this relationship. I don’t even know if you really love me anymore. I think I might just be the easiest thing within fucking distance.”
Neji hadn’t thought it was possible to be any more shocked than he all ready was, but that last statement had proven him wrong. He’d grabbed for Naruto’s hand, not daring to let go. “What do you mean the only one who puts feelings into the relationship? Of course I love you. I wouldn’t be with you if I didn’t.”
Naruto had shrugged then. “I want out. I’m done with this. I love you so much it hurts and you aren’t even going to miss me while you are gone. I’m done crying tears because you can’t return my affection. I’m just a toy and I’m not waiting around for you to get sick of me and trade up.” He’d pulled his arm from Neji’s grasp and walked out the door.
Neji had just sat on his bed, dumbfounded. One minute he’d been making out with his boyfriend passionately and the next he was staring at Naruto’s back as it walked out of his life forever. He’d been too shocked to chase Naruto. He’d been too proud as a Hyuuga to do anything else and had simply let Naruto go.
Neji wiped the tears from his eyes. That stupid fight was two weeks and one day ago. “God I was stupid to leave without Hiashi. I am so stupid for fighting with Naruto,” he screamed in his head, sniffling. “Please, Naruto, forgive me. I was so stupid not to tell you I love you, not to tell you that I would miss you,” Neji whispered to the darkness. He hadn’t heard the door unlock or notice Tobi step inside.
Tobi cleared his throat before chirping, “The sun is up. The sun is up. Tobi told you the sun is up. Tobi is a nice boy for giving you information.”
Neji wiped the tears he’d started to let fall from his eyes. He had planned on simply ignoring Tobi again. What was the point in trying to resist this situation when no one knew where he had been or what had happened to him? He would just ignore his captors until they decided he was of no use and set him free or killed him. Either option worked just as well for Neji, since Naruto was through with him.
Tobi appeared in front of Neji’s face. “Why does Neji cry? Tobi wants to know why Neji is always sad and ignores Tobi.”
Neji tried staring through Tobi again as if he didn’t exist. Something was different this time, though. He couldn’t place it, but something was off. He stared at Tobi instead of through him this time. “Shit, he’s not wearing his mask!” Neji’s brain screamed at him. He squinted a little, trying to see Tobi’s face better. Neji frowned, “I guess I’ll acknowledge you for a moment. Why aren’t you wearing your mask?”
Tobi giggled, smirking at the inquisitiveness written all over Neji’s normally distant face. “You might like me better once you get to know me,” he answered with a voice that did not match the voice Neji had come to associate with the hyperactive airhead.
Neji shrugged it off and turned over. That was all the interaction with another person he could take today. He closed his eyes and shut out the image of Tobi’s beautiful face, for that’s what it was. He tried to shut out Naruto’s endless blue eyes, but was having trouble doing so. He squeezed his eyes tight, allowing a few tears to fall.
Tobi sat on his mattress for a few minutes before giving up on Neji continuing the conversation. He ran his hand through Neji’s hair, frowning as Neji unconsciously shied away from his touch. He sighed as he stood up and placed a tray of food inside the room before he shut the door and locked it.

“Neji, you know you want me. There’s no one who doesn’t want me, male or female,” Kiba drawled as he pushed Neji further against the wall with his body.
Neji didn’t really want to hurt Kiba; after all, the idiot was drunk. Still, Neji didn’t appreciate being backed into a wall in the men’s room or having Kiba’s face as near to his as it was. “I think you have had enough for one night, Kiba. You should go home and sleep it off.”
Kiba trailed his hand down Neji’s stomach. Neji grabbed Kiba’s hand as it headed for his groin. He smirked, “What’s the matter, Neji? Afraid Naruto will catch you cheating on him? I guarantee I can make it worth your while.” He ran his tongue up Neji’s jaw line.
Neji growled and pushed Kiba back forcefully. “Idiot, I’m trying to keep from hurting you because you are hopelessly drunk right now. If you keep making passes at me, I’m going to have to make you stop even if I have to use force.”
Kiba was an angry drunk now. Neji saw the transformation on his face. “We’re going to fuck, Neji. I want it and I know you can’t resist me,” lust racked Kiba’s voice and shadowed his eyes. “I want to hear you scream out my name while I’m balls deep in your tight ass.” Kiba lunged at Neji and caught him by the wrist.
Neji tried to break free, but Kiba’s anger made him much stronger than normal and Neji had had a few drinks before this, too. “Kiba, please listen to reason. Don’t do this to me or Naruto. You are only going to end up hurting your friends.”
Kiba was too far gone to care though. “Have you and Naruto ever done it doggy style? That’s my specialty.” He reached down and unbuttoned Neji’s pants before locking the door. Kiba smirked, “Convenient the door locks, huh?” He spun Neji around so he was facing the wall, pressing his own hardness against Neji’s ass.
Neji refused to cry. Hyuuga’s don’t cry; they take care of the situation. Neji sighed, before finally getting his chakra under control enough to kick Kiba, knocking him off balance. He buttoned his pants again before going over to check on Kiba. The guy may have been about to assault him, but he was still Neji’s friend. Neji knew it was just the alcohol in his system making him act this way.
As Neji leaned down to check Kiba’s pulse, Kiba sprang on Neji and pinned him to the floor, sliding his knee up between Neji’s thighs. “You never answered my question, bitch.”
Neji gasped as Kiba began to nibble on his neck. “Kiba, stop it! Seriously, Kiba, friend or not, Naruto will kick your ass if you keep this up.” Neji tried unsuccessfully to free his hands enough to push Kiba off his body.
Kiba unbuttoned Neji’s pants again and managed to pull them down enough to expose Neji’s flaccid member. “What the fuck, Neji? You can’t even give me a hard dick to play with?” Kiba began sucking on Neji’s neck as he freed one hand to start stroking Neji in an effort to give him an erection.
Neji closed his eyes and tried to think of a way out of the situation. His body absolutely would not respond to Kiba’s. He knew that. Naruto was the only person, male or female, who had ever excited him. “Kiba,” he began calmly, “Get off of me. I love Naruto.”
Kiba scoffed, “Naruto? Naruto? Why does everyone love Naruto? Why doesn’t Temari love me?” Kiba began to sob as he continued stroking Neji. “I know why. It’s because I like guys, too. Fucking homo hater that she is won’t date me even though I’m just bi-homo.” Kiba was getting frustrated that his touch was doing nothing for Neji. “Fine, Neji, forget pleasure for you. I’m getting off and you’re helping me do it.”
Just as Kiba had begun to line up with Neji’s tight entrance, Naruto had broken the door down. “What the fuck is going on Neji?” Naruto pulled Kiba off his boyfriend roughly, holding onto his collar. “Neji?”
Neji felt relief wash over him as he looked into the blue eyes of his boyfriend, “Kiba’s had too much to drink and is feeling sorry for himself because Temari won’t fuck him. I don’t know how alcohol makes him so much stronger, but I simply couldn’t break his hold on me.” He added quietly, almost too quietly for Naruto to hear, “I’m glad you are here.”
Neji started awake, breathing heavily. “Just a dream,” he thought. He looked around his surroundings. He was still stuck in this prison of his, and he sat up, pulling his knees to his chin. The dream had been so real. At the time, Neji had not been frightened; he’d been nervous, but not frightened. This dream had scared Neji. He couldn’t shake the feeling of someone touching him uninvited.
Neji stared at the door. At that time Naruto had believed him later that night when he said he loved Naruto only and no one else stood a chance. Now the only person he had seen in nearly three months was Tobi, and that orange mask and beautiful face had become a welcome distraction to his solitude, though Neji still ignored Tobi every day. It was as if the thought of Tobi had called him in, because that very second the lock clicked on the door.
Tobi came bouncing into the room, mask in place as it had been every day since Neji had first seen Tobi’s face. “Tobi wants to tell Neji that it is raining today. The sun would be up, but the rain is in the way. Tobi’s a nice boy for sharing all this information with Neji. Why doesn’t Neji be a nice boy and talk to Tobi?”
Neji stared at the mask and sighed. “I don’t like people.” It was a simple statement. He didn’t like people. The people he had around him back home were so special and dear to him that he loved them completely and without reserve. It had taken years for him to feel that connected to the people around him, though, and though Tobi didn’t know it those few words from Neji were more than most people got from him.
As a reward for speaking to him, Tobi pulled his mask off. “You know, Neji, I’m not always this nice to people. There’s just something about you, though, that makes me want to be with you. I want to hold you and caress the tears away from your beautiful eyes and beautiful face.”
It was that voice again. It was the un-Tobi like Tobi’s voice. Neji couldn’t contain the curiosity any longer. He didn’t know when he would hear this voice again. It wasn’t grating and annoying. If anything, it was almost sexy. Neji could feel the slightest hint of arousal stirring in his body. “Why don’t you use this voice all the time?”
Tobi smirked and clicked his tongue, “If I could tell you that, I would have all ready.” Tobi sat next to Neji on his mattress. “Would you like to come to a room that has a window and a bathroom with a door?”
Neji looked with a mixture of shock and desire at the beautiful face before him. The unbandaged eye holding more emotion than any eyes he’d seen before, other than those eyes of blue that had so often turned to him during his year long relationship with Naruto. Neji swallowed as he felt his breathing become shallow. This face was so unfamiliar, yet the person beside him was his only bright spot in months of darkness. He nodded and answered, “I would like that, very much.”
Tobi put his mask back in place. “Don’t tell anyone about the difference between my personality when I wear my mask and when I don’t. I wouldn’t want to have to kill you.” His body became much livelier as Tobi took over again, “Tobi wants Neji to be his roommate. Tobi’s room is too boring.”
Neji stood up and nodded. “Is there a bathtub in your room, Tobi?” He hadn’t been able to relax in a bath in three months. He had been led to shower every couple of days, but a bath was a luxury that a prisoner like Neji was not afforded.
Tobi nodded. “Neji can use Tobi’s bath whenever he likes. Tobi wants Neji to be happy. Tobi is a good boy.” Tobi linked his arm through Neji’s and began to skip through the open door and down the hallway.
Neji wanted to look around, but he had to focus too hard on follow Tobi’s spontaneous and erratic movements. They were running through the halls at breakneck speed one moment and then walking calmly. The few minutes that had been calm enough for Neji to look around he’d seen nothing but rock and candles. The passage was plain. There were doors at random intervals which he assumed were other member’s rooms.
Tobi stopped suddenly at a door that was painted to look like his mask. “This is Tobi’s room. Tobi is going to let Neji stay here, but Neji’s guard is moving outside this door. Tobi’s room has to be locked all the time when Tobi isn’t here. Neji is still our prisoner. Tobi doesn’t think anyone has been looking for Neji. Tobi thinks Neji would be happier here with us.” Tobi opened the door and put his hand on the small of Neji’s back to push him into the room, and despite himself, Neji blushed just a bit.
Neji looked around. The room was similar to the one he had been in only it was larger and there was indeed a window. It was a large window, but it was barred. He could not get out through that window, but at least he would have more light than he’d seen in three months. He could see that it was indeed raining outside. The bathroom was much nicer. There was a door in the frame and he could completely seclude himself inside the bathtub. “Tobi, I’d like to take a bath right away.”
Tobi nodded. “Please, make yourself at home. I’ll be back later.” He threw the door to the bedroom open again. “Tobi’s going to play ‘where’s the clay?’ with Deidara-sempai.” He bounced out the door and Neji laughed a little. ‘Where’s the clay’ sounded a lot like ‘pretend he’s not there’.
Neji went to the bathroom and ran warm bath water for himself. It had been months since the steam of a warm bath had caused that instant relaxation of his body. Naruto was still on his mind, but Tobi seemed to take over more easily than ever. Neji realized, as he looked down at his growing erection, that it had been months since he’d actually gotten off and thinking of the two men who were always occupying his mind was making him extremely hard. He lowered his body into the water and enjoyed the feel of the warmth over his entirety.
A free hand found its way down to Neji’s erection. Thoughts of Naruto quickly filled Neji’s head. He soon found he was alternating between picturing Tobi and Naruto going down on him. He found himself hot, breathing becoming shallower every time he pictured Tobi’s or Naruto’s mouth come down over his extremely hard erection. The hand working Neji’s painful erection was quickly picking up the pace. He couldn’t hold back the groan of pleasure as he pictured his dick inside Tobi’s ass and then Naruto’s. Neji had always topped with Naruto, and he wasn’t about to become bottom to someone else. He suddenly thought about Naruto and Tobi fucking each other. He saw their sweaty bodies intertwined and it was all he could do not to scream both names as his seed shot out though the bath water.
Neji’s head rolled back against the tub and his breathing was slowly returning to normal. His hands felt like lead and his entire body was more relaxed than it had been in months. Neji closed his eyes and thought, “Just a minute or two and I’ll get out of the bath.”
