Clouds
A/N: just a little something that i thought up while being subjected to the extreme heat of texas for 12 hours the other day. it's a drabble, and i hope it's as entertaining as the thought of it was to me. and since there's no sex, i had to put it in this category. *shrugs*
enjoy!

Clouds
_________
Naruto hated clouds.
No matter that they did him no actual harm, he hated them. No matter the praises that Shikamaru would sing, he hated them.
He hated them because they always brought trouble during his missions.
In Rain Country, the clouds brought torrents of water that left him water-logged and SOL on following an enemy’s trail.
In Snow Country, the clouds brought flurries of snow that left even his heightened senses blind and froze every patch of skin on him.
In Mist Country, the clouds brought fog so thick it could be cut by Sasuke’s sword, yet another hindrance to his senses on search and seizure missions.
Even in Fire Country, those damn clouds could mean any number of weather phenomena, depending on the time of year, though he at least could stay inside for those.
So the only place Naruto could figure the clouds would be of no consequence would be in Wind Country, more specifically Suna, because it was a desert, and the sun shone all damn day.
But as he and Sasuke trudged, bruised and battered, towards the gates of Sunagakure, the sun beating mercilessly upon them and sweat pouring into their open wounds, Naruto wished with everything he had that a cloud wound come by and give him a fucking break.
Then he and Sasuke were submerged in blissful shadow, and Naruto brought his face up to peer at the sky. A cloud had come from nowhere and placed itself before the sun, and, surprisingly, stayed there until they were inside the Sand Village.
Odd, but Naruto didn’t really care. He just, suddenly, fucking loved clouds.
