Sakura was walking through the woods at the edge of the village. She was picking flowers for Sasuke-kun. She was picking them because that baka Ino would no longer sell them to her. ‘Damn Ino. I will kill her.’ She was having trouble finding daffodils and those were her favorites.

Sakura had been kneeling to pick some pretty pink flowers that had caught her eye and now she stood up. She looked around; she narrowed her eyes so she would be able to see farther. Suddenly she spotted a patch of white just beyond some trees to her right. She quickly ran over to the patch, excited because it looked as if it were a patch of daffodils. When she had finally reached her goal she smiled widely because they were indeed daffodils. She went wild picking all the ones that looked the prettiest. She calmed down after a while and realized that as she walked deeper into the woods the white flowers became strangely prettier and prettier, almost in a surreal sort of way.

Sakura was so excited. She was sure Sasuke would love these flowers. Because she was so happy, she was feeling extra generous, so she decided to pick extra daffodils for Naruto as well. She was again kneeling down, carefully selecting the perfect flowers to pick, when she heard a noise behind her. She became very still and quiet, trying to discern if it was an enemy ready to attack her or some wild animal trying to do the same.

Suddenly Sakura realized that it was the noise of two people who were engaged in hand-to-hand combat. She quietly stood and silently made her way towards the sound. If it was two enemies fighting then she would get away as quickly as possible before they even had time to notice her. But if it one of the two people engaged in battle was one of her comrades from the village she would feel obliged to help out, if her help was needed.

She came to a bunch of short bushed and decided she would crouch down and have a good look before she charged into what might be a very dangerous situation. She delicately put the flowers she had picked down near her, but out of harm’s way and once again went down on her knees. She pushed some of the bushed aside and had a peek.

What she saw momentarily surprised her. ‘Sasuke-kun and Naruto-chan. What are they doing?’ She watched as they clashed and separated just as quickly. They stared at one another intently and were ready to spring at each other once again as soon any one of them made even the slightest movement. ‘Are they fighting each other again with the same intent they had had on the Konoha’s Hospital’s roof? Please no.’ Sakura wanted to do something to stop the fight, but she decided to observe for a moment longer because unlike Naruto she was not a rash and quick to act person.

“Sasuke, you better give up. It’s almost dinner time and you have not won, you do not even hold an advantage.” Naruto mocked as he sprang toward Sasuke again.

“Not on your life, dobe.” Sasuke bared his teeth as he fought Naruto back. All he had to do was pin him. That was all it would take to win. Sasuke decided he was done playing, from here on out he would get serious. If he did not beat Naruto by their dinner break, Naruto would not be able to shut up throughout the whole meal. He kicked at Naruto, but Naruto managed to block. Then they sprang apart.

Sakura watched and decided it was not the same type of battle as the one on the roof top had been. They were only helping each other train in hand-to-hand combat. And knowing those two they always had to make it into some sort of competition. She heaved a sigh of relief and settle back to watch two great ninjas in battle.

Sasuke and Naruto stood five feet apart, both breathing hard from their exertion. ‘Kuso, this is not going to be as easy as I though. Damn Naruto. Why must he always get a step ahead of me right when I think I have gotten stronger?’ Sasuke made his hands into fists at his sides.

“Sasuke, you will never win. If we had not both agreed not to use any seals this battle would have been over by now, with me the victor.” Naruto grinned.

“Ussura tonkachi, do not get so cocky. You know perfectly well that the weaker one of the two of us is you.” At those words Naruto lunged himself at Sasuke once again. This kind of banter and fighting continued on in their usual intense way for two more hours. By this time Sakura had gotten too comfortable and had fallen asleep.

Naruto and Sasuke stood apart again, both breathing heavily. They were ready to charge at one another, when an alarm went off. “Kusokusokuso!” Sasuke muttered quietly to himself.

“Looks like it’s a draw, teme. So you have you gotten weaker or have I gotten stronger? I would like to believe it is the second of the two options to spare you ego a bit.” Naruto said the last sentence in a mocking tone. Then he chuckled as he walked over towards a group of trees that were surrounding the clearing where they had been fighting.

Sasuke was angry. He charged at Naruto, but Naruto managed to step out of the way, just in time. Sasuke almost hit one of the trees, but he managed to stop himself in time. He heard Naruto laughing behind him.

“Baka, do you not know when to give, or at least take a break? We will continue this after we eat. I am starving.” Naruto continued over to where they had their packs and the food. “Now let’s see what Kakashi managed to get us for dinner.” Naruto began to dig into one of the packs. “Nani?! What is this blanket doing here? And…” He continued to dig. “There is also a basket in here. Hahaha. Kakashi packed us a picnic. That guy sure is weird.” He shrugged. “Oh well, food is food. We might as well dig in. There is so much. Oh and look here, there is this nice and creamy chocolate mousse for dessert. Yum.” Naruto actually began to drool. He shock his head and spread the blue and white checkered blanket on the ground just under a tree, so they would have ample shade from the sun, which was still over head. Besides they were still heated from their battle. Then he began to lay out the food. As soon as all was laid out, he sat down on the blanket with his legs folded under him. Sasuke stared at Naruto because it seemed as if Naruto had laid out all the food in front of himself. “Itadakimasu!” And he began to eat.

Sasuke had just picked up a plate to fill with food and his chopsticks when he stopped to watch Naruto. He was always amazed at how much and how fast that guy could eat.

After a moment, Naruto noticed. “Wah iz it, teme?” He managed to pronounce the last word by accidentally (or purposefully) shooting some rice at Sasuke. Sasuke bared his teeth and wiped the rice from his nose, where it had landed.

“Nothing. Just finish eating so we can get back to training. So you can finally see that I am the superior one.” Naruto made no comment because the gears in his head were too busy turning. Sasuke filled his plate with the array of food before him. He then began to eat.

Naruto decided that he was going to eat as slow as he could, just to irritated Sasuke. If he had not been so hungry he might have actually began to eat his rice grain by grain. He silently chuckled to himself as he began to eat again but this time with the slowness and deliberateness of an old man.

Before too long, Sasuke finished eating. He then began to wait for Naruto, without really looking over at the other boy. He wanted that dessert more than anything, but it would be rude to start in on it before Naruto was finished with his dinner. Besides, the dish with the delicious mousse was to the right of Naruto and he would have a hard time getting it without any intervention from Naruto.

After the minutes dragged on he turned his head to glare at Naruto. But Naruto did not seem to notice. After more and more minutes had pass, Sasuke became more impatient and angrier and angrier. He was sure that that bastard was doing this on purpose, he was sure Naruto was eating at a snail’s pace, just to ride on Sasuke’s nerves. “Arg, will you hurry the hell up, dobe.” Sasuke growled out.

“Almost done, Sasuke-kun.” Naruto said in a fake sweet voice as he proceeded to bat his eyelashes and place the last mouthful of food into this mouth in a mockingly seductive manner. Sasuke had to use all of his restraint not to throttle the other boy. “There.” Naruto put his plate and chopsticks down. “You do not have to be so impatient. You finished too soon Sasuke, you have to enjoy every bite.” Naruto waggled his eyebrows at Sasuke.

“Well, right now I want to enjoy every bite of that chocolate dessert sitting there on your right.” Sasuke nodded towards the bowl of dessert.

“Oh, you mean this.” Naruto dipped the middle finger of his right hand into the fluffy dessert and brought it up to his mouth. Then he very slowly licked up the chocolate confection. Naruto did all of this without breaking eye contact with Sasuke.

When there was just a think layer of chocolate coating his finger he popped it into his parted lips and moaned deep in his throat. He languidly closed his eyes. Sasuke felt his mouth go dry. ‘What the hell is happening to me? All of a sudden I feel so warm, all over.’ Then he realized that something was not only warm, but stirring. ‘NO! This cannot be!’

“Well, Sasuke, if you want to some, come and get it.” Naruto again dipped his finger in into the bowl of chocolate dessert and then offered it to Sasuke. “Come on, Sasuke, you know you want to. You know you want this delicious treat.” Sasuke did not know if Naruto referred to the chocolate or to his own finger. But he could not tear his gaze away from that finger.

Naruto had done what he had done on impulse. He had done it to tease and irritate Sasuke and now he was in too deep. He truly wanted Sasuke to take his finger into his mouth. He half expected Sasuke to do slug him for his audacity. But from the way that Sasuke was staring at his finger, he did not believe he would. His stare was too intense. Naruto watched as Sasuke licked his lips. He gulped as he watched, wide-eyed, Sasuke’s lips get nearer and nearer to his finger. He did not realize that he had been holding his breath until Sasuke’s mouth closed around it. He let out his breath and suppressed a moan as the warm, wet mouth of his natural rival began to suck on his finger.

Sasuke’s eyes come up to meet Naruto’s. Sasuke did not know what had possessed him to actually take Naruto’s finger into his mouth. He was stunned by his own actions, but the chocolate tasted like heaven and Naruto had tempted him. He looked directly into Naruto’s eyes, and soon and evil grin began to spread onto his lips, but it was hindered a bit by the fact that he had Naruto’s finger in his mouth.

Naruto noticed that grin and his expression turned to that of a deer caught in the headlights. Sasuke saw that he was shocked. Naruto had not actually expected that his finger would be engulfed by Sasuke’s mouth. Naruto’s face had a look of confusion, he did not know what to do or say next. But there was also a hint of something else in those big, blue eyes. Something that was entirely different.

The attack on his sense of taste finally got to Sasuke and he had to close his eye and moan deeply. “Let me do it.” Sasuke said in a husky voice. Naruto looked at Sasuke with surprise in his eyes for only a moment, and then they became clouded. Naruto nodded once, sharply.

Sasuke dipped his finger into the dessert and then offered it up to Naruto. Naruto licked his lips in anticipation, then quickly attacked Sasuke’s finger. Sasuke gasped and his eyes grew round. Naruto mimicked Sasuke from earlier by closing his eyes and moaning.

Sasuke could not tear his eyes away from where Naruto’s mouth fused with his finger. “Why, you bastard.” Naruto said through clenched teeth. “That finger was meant for my mouth.”

“You were being greedy. You know perfectly well it was my turn.” Sasuke again went for the bowl of dessert. “This time though, you can have your share.” Naruto immediately brightened. This routine continued for a while, Sasuke would let Naruto suck off the chocolate confection from his finger then he would have some for himself. Until finally Naruto could stand it no longer and developed a plan. Naruto wanted more.

It was Sasuke’s turn to suck on his own finger. H was about to reach for the chocolate when Naruto pushed his hand away. “Here, let me do that.” Naruto dipped his finger it into the dessert. Sasuke closed his eyes and held his mouth slightly open waiting for the finger with the intoxicating dessert to enter his mouth. But the finger never made it. Naruto instead had smeared it on the side of his mouth. Sasuke frowned, opened his eyes to glare at Naruto and his hand come up to wipe the chocolate way, but Naruto grabbed it and leaned into him.

“Ussura tonkachi, what are you doing?” Sasuke demanded, angry that he had been deprived of his chocolate treat. Lack of chocolate always made him act more irate. He opened his mouth to yell at Naruto, but was cut off.

“I want to lick it off.” Naruto exclaimed in matter of fact tone. “I want to lick it all off.” Sasuke froze. If it was at all possible he was even more aroused now then he had been when Naruto had simply been sucking his finger. “Will you let me, Sasuke-kun? Meanwhile, back behind the bushes:

Sakura chose this time of all the possible times to wake up from her nap. She stretched. ‘I wonder if Naruto and Sasuke-kun have finished their battle yet.’ She scrawled closer to the bushes and took a peek. What she saw astonished her so that the shock had her fainting in the next second.

Back to the boys:

Sasuke needed to touch Naruto’s skin. He needed to feel him naked against him. That realization shocked him enough to break the kiss. Naruto groaned in protest. “Baka, I was not done with that mouth of your quite yet.” Naruto said his arms now wrapped around Sasuke’s waist.

Sasuke almost blushed at those words from the blond. “We need to stop and consider, Naruto-“
