An almost pointless fluff fic with a good dose of smut-talk. Bad language, kiddies.

The sun beamed down, spreading it’s brilliance throughout the whole of Konoha, seeping into every nook and
cranny and wiping away any smudges of darkness until everything was soaking in it’s cheerfulness. The grass, lush
and green, swayed ever so languidly in the gentlest of breezes as birds chirped and sang cheery songs in the treetops
above, and fuck, nothing pissed the Uchiha off more thoroughly than that.
He hated the sun. It was like some giant glowing zit in the sky, and no matter where he went, it’d just follow him
there, scathingly bright againis pis pale face and contrasting painfully with soft, midnight eyes. Sasuke Uchiha was
naturally a dark creature, a night creature- slender and graceful and deadly, and bearing a velvety black aura - perfect
for stalking under moonlight.
But here he was, scowling and bitching- albeit silently, and only in his head- under sunlight, long blades of grass
irritating and itching against his bare legs. It took all of the Uchiha coolness for him not to blast the shit out of the
field, scorch the damn overgrowth so he could walk without being pawed at, to not fire up a jutsu and wipe out all
the overly cheery birds while he’s at it.
Of course, this was all that dobe’s fault. Why did he have to spend his day lazing around in the middle of a field, of
all places? And why the hell did he decide to do it now, when it’s scorching hot and the breeze feels like a whiff of
hot air from the oven? The answer was simple. He’s an idiot.
Scowl still plastered on his face, the young prodigy continued through the grass, too hot and bothered to worry about
stealth or silence and trudged along rather loudly (or as loudly as someone of his suppleness could). But as a shock
of blonde hair and tan skin, slick with sweat, came into view, he decided the scathing heat wasn’t that bad, and the
noisy birds weren’t too noticeable, as long as you had something else to keep you... distracted.
Silently, he approached the blonde, only stopping when they were side by side. A pang of annoyance hit Sasuke
when the darker skinned boy didn’t open his eyes to acknowledge him.
“Oi, dobe.”
Silence.
He bent his knees, seating himself in the grass next to the younger boy, half propped on his elbows and legs
stretched in front of him as he napped. Dark eyes roamed whiskered cheeks, studying blond hair as it plastered to tan
skin with sweat, and half lidded eyes that allowed only a small glimpse of the blue pools that lay hidden behind.
“Dobe.”
Blue eyes flitted into view.
“Whdya want, jerkwad?”
The brunette felt his eyebrow twitch slightly at the new name, but didn’t question it.
“I have to tell you something.”
The kitsune sighed heavily, readjusting himself in the grass, working stiff muscles and rolling sore shoulders. “This
better be good.”
“It’s... Important. To me.” He added, quiet, and unconsciously he was torn between feeling uneasy and watching the
muscle in Naruto’s stomach roll.
“Of course! Anything to do with Sasuke’s important.” The blonde spat halfheartedly, grinning that sly, foxy grin
he’d become so famous for over the years.
“.........”
“I’m joking. Now spit it out, I’m tired.”
The Uchiha remained seated, cross-legged and spine bent smoothly as his hair naturally hid part of his face. Naruto
silently noted how fragile his teammate could look; without his top or the bandages bulking his slim frame, but knew
that bastard was anything but– he’d been slapped around too many times to believe otherwise.
“I’m different.”, escaped Sasuke’s lips, for lack of better words, and a pause followed. A long pause, to the irritable
kitsune.
“Geez, just spit it ou-”
“I think I’m gay.” It was nearly silent, but the kistune’s perceptive ears never missed a word.
“What?” Naruto spat back, sharply.
“I’m gay.” Sasuke repeated. There was no turning back now, anyways.
The brunette already felt a gnawing twinge of regret, but the words had already been said.
“That’s it?” Naruto asked, incredulous and angry. “You woke me up to tell me you wanna bone some guy? Fuck,
Sasuke. This is my first day off in months!” And, just because it was such a practical word, “Fuck. I thought you
were going to tell me you had some weird disease or something. Like c’mon.” Narutonoyed, fd, fell back into the
grass to half lay down, half sit up, wide awake after his colorful rant.
He doesn’t...
“You don’t. Care?”
Turnins hes head to the side, the blonde eyed Sasuke with no particular concentration. “You know what Sasuke. No.
I don’t. I know you’re used of being all spoiled and cared about and stuff. But no. I don’t really care.” He ended it
with a noise from low in his throat, a sigh that bordered closely into a growl as he removed his gaze from the slightly
dumbfounded brunette.
Why doesn’t he...?
Sasuke allowed the kitsune to calm his nerves, taking those short moments to gain back a semblance of his wits.
Which only proved fu.
