Kakashi ended up volunteering to take Koroshi back to the village, since he would be returning right away. He knew that Koroshi and her new baby needed to get away from the war as soon as possible.
Kakashi got to Koroshi, and after admiring the infant for a few moments, they were off, running so fast it was like they were flying, and it didn’t take hardly any time to get Koroshi back to the Hidden Leaf Village.
Kakashi dropped her off at the Uchiha estate, of course, where Kurenai Yuhi waited with her boys. They were quite shocked to see Koroshi coming back so soon.
“Koroshi…I will always be here when you need my support,” Kakashi said, kissed Izumi’s forehead, and then rushed on.
After he was gone, Koroshi turned to Kurenai, showing her Izumi.
“She is beautiful, just like her mother,” Kurenai said. “I should be having my son any day now.”
“Yes, I know. It’s exciting. Kurenai, if you don’t mind, can we go and do a DNA test?”
Kurenai understood. “Of course. Boys, since you’re big and strong, and since we’ll be back in just a little while, how about you stay here and play with some toys in your rooms? Or watch some television?”
“Yeah!” They shouted, and they were off.
Kurenai took Koroshi to the make shift hospital, where they kept all of the DNA of all of the ninja who had ever been in the village.
“This is Itachi’s DNA,” Kurenai said. “Let’s test it with Izumi’s.”
They tested it, and when it was finished, the doctor brought them the results.
Koroshi was nervous, hoping against all hope that the child belonged to Itachi.
“Congratulations, Koroshi. Your hopes weren’t in vain. Izumi Uchiha is the daughter or Itachi Uchiha,” the doctor said, smiling at Koroshi.
Koroshi hugged Izumi to her chest. “Thank goodness!” Koroshi cried, and the baby laughed as Koroshi laughed, crying tears of joy.
They went back to the Uchiha estate, and she introduced Shisui and Sesshomaru to Izumi.
