A few more days passed and Sasuke once again found himself getting ready for another session at the gym. His arms ached slightly as he’d hit a personal best the day before. It was supposed to have been leg day for the pair but Kushina hadn’t gone with him for the past couple of days. The black haired young man was happy for her, but at the same time, seeing her lips curl up at the attention she was getting made him a little moody.
The red head looked at him and asked if he wanted to use the machine first, which he denied. Kushina had no problem with it and began using the machine to work her back. Before she started however, she did hand him her phone and ask him to record her set. He felt a little proud that even though she’d mostly gotten a body she was proud of she was still putting in the hard work.
The pair spent well over an hour and a half getting their workout in. Sasuke noticed that Kushina seemed a little more playful than she did before. She wouldn’t do anything too brazen at this time in the day with so many eyes on her but she did walk closer to him, and rub up against him any chance she had. Sasuke opened the door for her. “Alright, fine.” He said, resisting the urge to give her ass a pinch. Had a family car not pulled into the car park and gotten nearby he’d have done it for sure.

He dropped her off and she headed inside to prepare meals for Naruto and Minato before their trip. He’d told his mom that he’d be going to the movies with some friends later.
She gave him a look and asked him to call one of his friends to confirm. When his friend picked up the phone, Sasuke was relieved that he was playing along when he told him about their movie plans.
“Yeah I’m buying the tickets right now. Why? You’re not backing out are you?” Was what his friend had replied when Sasuke asked if they were still on for the movies later. He made a mental note to buy him a drink the next time he could for backing him up.
That seemed to be enough for Mikoto to get off his back and let him continue with the rest of his day.
As he entered the shower and stripped himself of his clothes, his phone went off. The very familiar notification bar with Kushina’s name appeared on the screen with an image attachment. The jump scares weren’t predictable and the suspense really reeled one in.

“What do you mean?” Sasuke asked with a confused frown. “Since we started going to the gym I’ve come to actually see her as a real friend now. She’s actually really funny and cool.”
Naruto raised an eyebrow at that. His mom was cool? The same woman that had just gotten mad about him for asking a question about her clothes?
“You sure we’re talking about the same person?” Naruto asked.
Sasuke didn’t get a chance to reply as Kushina came back with a small envelope in hand that she handed over to him.
“Give this to your mom please.” Kushina sent him on his way with another hug and closed the door. Having finished that up she made her way upstairs, keen to finish at least twenty pages of her book.
Ten pages into her book, Minato entered the room with his eyes on his phone as he tapped the screen rapidly. The man stopped what he was doing and couldn’t help but let his eyes roam over his wife’s form. Kushina noticed this but continued reading, even after he walked around the room and made his way into the bathroom.
She was going to continue being lost in the fantasy world she was reading about when she heard Minato’s voice ring out from the bathroom.
Who could he be talking to? She scooted over on the bed, trying to get closer in order to hear. She managed to hear a woman’s voice from the phone say something about meeting at 10pm at a local bar downtown. Her eyes widened.

Their talk went on for a few more minutes before Minato exited the bathroom.
“You’re going to a bar?” She asked.
“It’s a company outing, since we closed a big deal. We’re also going to discuss another possible contract with a large firm so we figured we’d celebrate.” He responded.
She nodded her head slowly. “So you wouldn’t mind me going?” She asked challengingly.
Minato shook his head sadly. “I can’t bring you. It’s not an official company event like the ones we’ve been to. For all intents and purposes, this is just a business meeting at a different setting.”
Kushina frowned and got back to her book. “Fine, but if you’re going to be out pounding drinks and have fun, then so am I. I’m gonna go to Hitomi’s for the night.”
Minato looked like he wanted to say more but decided against it and opened his laptop. Kushina meanwhile hid her phone out of sight using the book and texted sasuke.
I think Minato might be cheating on me. He’s going to a bar downtown tonight. We need to follow him somehow.
She got an instant reply saying he’d figure something out. Kushina hoped he could because she was going to be there one way or another.
Meanwhile at Sasuke’s house, the young man was in bed going over the message again. If she was right, then it would make sense why Minato was gone all the time. If he wasn’t, then he really did choose work over his wife. It didn’t look good for him either way.
He sat up, trying to think of a possible way to tail him without being discovered. He mulled over it for well over an hour with little luck, nothing came to mind. Just as he was going to break the news to her, another message came through.
It wasn’t Kushina like he’d expected, but rather, Suigetsu. He hadn’t heard from him in a good while. He read the message his friend had sent him, and a pleased look slowly formed on his face the more he read.
Suigetsu had come through for him without even knowing what he’d done. The man had invited him to join some of their other friends out tonight. Their activity? Try to pick up women at either a bar or club.
Suigetsu even told him since he lived off campus and didn’t have a dorm, that he was free to use his dorm room for the night if he got lucky. Sasuke wasn’t sure how luck like this was possible but he wasn’t going to question it.
He agreed to join them and quickly sent word to Kushina that he had an idea.
She’d told Minato she was going to be at a friend's house out of town and would leave the house at 9:30. That worked perfectly. He told her to get a nice dress, wig, makeup, and some glasses to disguise herself. Luckily her car was in the garage so she’d just quickly change without being seen and leave the house right after Minato, and he’d never see that she was in disguise.
When she made it to the bar he’d pretend not to know her and eventually go chat her up. At that point they’d decide their next course of action. A pretty good plan in his opinion.
He spent the next few hours watching a few games on tv with his dad. Sasuke was sure his mom told him about his dealings with a married woman but he didn’t comment on it. That was something he was thankful for, he didn’t need two people on his case about it. Even though Fugaku didn’t comment, Sasuke could see the man glancing at him every now and then. He was most likely letting his mom handle it and would get involved only if necessary.
By the time the games ended it was time to meet up with his friends. He took the car and drove over to their building just to wait on everyone. Luckily they were a punctual bunch, probably due to the fact that there was the possibility of getting lucky. It took very little persuasion on his part to talk them into going to the bar Kushina had told him Minato would be at. There weren’t too many in their city so it wasn’t hard to deduce which one they’d go to, the biggest one downtown.
It was roughly ten by the time they made it and all his friends were antsy with anticipation. All of them were going in with the expectation that they were going to be taking a girl home. Walking into the building he looked around and found the person he was looking for. Kushina was sitting by herself at the bar counter with a bottle of beer in her hand.
Seeing as they were in public he did his best to check her out discreetly. The former red head was wearing a blond wig that was styled in a bob cut, with some hair covering the right side of her face. She also had some stylish glasses that one wasn’t able to see through. They were the type that let someone look around without being noticed doing so. Kushina decided to wear a rather small black dress with thin straps as well as matching black heels.

Sasuke looked next to her and saw the table Minato was sitting at with his coworkers. There were men and women all seemingly absorbed in what an older woman was saying. Looks like it actually was a business meeting after all.
Apart from them there were plenty of younger people all mingling amongst each other, laughing, talking, or dancing. His friends grabbed a small booth and began looking around to see who they’d chat up first. He ordered a drink and took it back to the booth to watch how everything played out.
For twenty minutes he watched his friends try and flirt with some of the women their age. Some were doing well, others like Suigetsu, weren’t as lucky. To his annoyance one of the guys in his group even decided to try his luck with the disguised Kushina. He did feel slightly better when she shook her head no and continued taking sips of her drink.
To his surprise even some of Minato’s coworkers tried to chat her up once the woman seemingly ended the meeting.
“Sasuke.” The young man heard. Minato walked up to him with a beer in hand. “What are you doing here?” He asked.
Sasuke decided to let him in on what his friends had planned for the night, minus the whole ordeal with his wife of course. The blond man got a good laugh out of it.
“I remember those days.” He told him with an amused tone. “Looks like everyone’s trying with the same woman. I’ve counted at least eight people try to talk to her.” He said motioning to Kushina.
“I want to say I’ve seen her somewhere.” Minato continued. Sasuke instantly grew worried that he might find out but sighed in relief when the man shrugged his shoulders. “Make that nine.” The two watched another dejected young man make his way back trying to save face.
Sasuke smirked. “They’re just not doing it right.”
“Oh?” Minato said, still amused.
“I’m gonna try my luck.” He called out and stood up.
Minato finished his beer and patted him on the back. “Good luck.”
Sasuke made his way over to the now empty stool next to her and sat down. “Looks like he really was here for business.” He said loud enough for her to hear.
