The sudden sound of a group of people praying made the honey colored eyes open and Shino was horrified …
It had nothing to do with the gorgeous sparkling puffs stuck all over the shrine that weren’t there before …
It had nothing to do with the beautiful purple flowers that were all blooming …
All of his horror and embarrassment had to do with the fact that he was completely naked on the podium as people were praying right outside with the door wide open! Yes, Naruto was there holding him in his lap and equally naked, but it didn’t change how embarrassing this was.
Shino actually pinched Naruto as hard as possible to get his attention and subtly show his discomfort. “What’s going on? Where’s our clothes?” Shino hissed taking a little pleasure in seeing the blonde flinch.
Naruto smiled nervously trying not to wince even more as the bug users fingers dug into his thigh so hard it might leave a bruise, “It’s not my fault. The pollen got on our clothes and I was told to give them over. This is all apparently part of the ritual-“ Naruto clenched his teeth as a twist was added to the pinch. “There wasn’t any time-“ the blonde winced. “They came once the pollen-“
“We would like to thank you.” The Red Admiral said as he approached the shrine door and looked at them from the doorway. He never stepped any closer to the podium they were on or even into the shrine.
Naruto was relieved that Shino stopped pinching him. Maybe it was only because he just didn’t want the Red Admiral to see, but either way the blonde felt better, “We were happy to help, sir.” He said.
The two ninjas watched the silhouettes of all the people who were praying before move around the shrine. Very quickly the shrine was surrounded. Naruto could feel Shino stiffen when the figures on the other side of the thin walls started messing with the actual walls. The second the Red Admiral glanced over to see the walls shake Shino grabbed Naruto’s hands and used them to cover his most private area, which turned out to be wise.
The Red Admiral nodded in satisfaction as the sound of latches being released were heard, “You’ve done much more than you realize. You’ve given us a much bigger pollen harvest than we ever expected.” He said gesturing to the dazzling puffs stuck to nearly every surface as one by one each section of the walls were pulled away leaving the two quite naked occupants and the flowers exposed with only the sturdy frame holding up the skylights as cover. “It seems the insects you carry with you have spread your seed as they explored the flowers.” The old leader commented completely fascinated by the little beetles scuttling out of purple flowers and back to Shino as the people pulled out very long brooms.
Shino nodded calmly praying his insects didn’t overstep themselves and offended the leader, “Yes. I’m sorry. When members of my clan are,” the insect gulped with a slight pink on his cheeks, “aroused the insects we host tend to scatter. It tends to be a protective measure. Mine seemed to decide to occupy themselves by helping the flowers. It’s not something I can control.” He said as he and Naruto subtly watched the people with the brooms carefully collect the sparkling puffs of pollen from every surface. With great skill the broom handlers even scrubbed the inside of the skylights without even touching the flowers.
“I will hear no apologies on the matter.” The Red Admiral said dismissively. “These flowers are so delicate that just the right brush of anything foreign can damage them. Only one thing makes them bloom, but human skin kills them thus the need for our methods. The fact that your insects can work on command is truly a blessing!”
“I’m glad my hive could help.” Shino said still feeling more embarrassed at being naked than curious right now. Naruto, however, was the exact opposite…
The blonde ninja watched the people work carefully, “In the prayers you called them-“ Naruto mentally flinched in pain as Shino very subtly pinched his hand. The blonde was one of those people who moved his hands when talking and Shino couldn’t allow that. After all, the only protecting his privacy was Naruto’s hands so they were staying still. With force if necessary. “H-healing blooms … could I ask why?” Naruto asked trying not to show his discomfort.
The Red Admiral smiled softly at the flowers as the spider like sling Shino was in was also cleaned with the long brooms. “These rare flowers have pollen that holds a great power for all those who live here … ah! The robes have arrived!” The elderly leader said happily as two villagers approached the shrine with bundles. “Most of the harvest is done so you may change now. I will guide you to your team’s room when the ritual is done.”
“Yes, sir.” Naruto said feeling a harsh pinch again and why wouldn’t he?
There was no privacy curtain or anything set up for them and the villagers wouldn’t come into the shrine meaning they’d have to walk out of the shrine completely naked. That was not something Shino was happy about and he was definitely letting Naruto know that. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a choice so Naruto had to give the stubborn insect user a little push.
Shino’s eyes widened as he felt the blonde’s hands, “Don’t you dare-“ his whisper turned into a gasp as Naruto grabbed him in a hug from behind and lifted Shino to his feet. Poor Shino didn’t have a chance to cover himself up before being made to stand.
“Calm down.” Naruto whispered to the blushing Aburame.
Shino wanted to make a sharp retort, but then he noticed something. Naruto had placed himself behind the insect user and had a hand on his hip trying to give him some privacy. With that slight protection Shino limped ahead over the stepping stones with Naruto right behind him.
The Red Admiral noticed this odd behavior this time and gave Shino a deep bow, “I should apologize. I never asked if you were a virgin before making you go through the ritual.”
Shino’s face exploded in a bright red blush, “I made my choice, sir. It’s fine.” He said calmly despite mentally scrambling to figure out how the hell the old man knew!
“I still apologize. We normally encourage virgins to not participate in something that intense. Seeing as this is my error we will discuss the treaty once we get to the hotel.” The leader said with a tone that made it clear the discussion was done. “Same goes for you. I never considered letting you discuss this with your lover.” He said to Naruto as the two villagers dressed Shino in a white silk kimono with a purple sash. Shino sighed in relief thinking the old leader was just senile now. After all, the insect user was still under the assumption that Naruto was single.
Naruto, who showed his lack of modesty as he calmly waited in his naked stated for Shino to be dressed, “My boyfriend might be ok with this … if I can get enough time to explain everything before he kills me.” Naruto said with a nervous chuckle. He didn’t want to lie when the old man clearly knew something … somehow. It could put the treaty at risk. Besides, Kurama wasn’t in heat now so it’s a little safer, but now Shino was looking at him oddly. It feels like everything he wants to hide is being picked apart and it’s because of Team 8 ...

“Achoo!”
“Lady Hinata! Are you ok? Quick! Summon the doctor!” Someone in the hallway screamed.
“It was just a sneeze.“ Hinata groaned as she was pressed back on the bed and felt her forehead.
“You don’t seem to have a fever-doctor! Come right in!” A member of the Hyuga clan, probably a guard assigned to watch her, said frantically.
The doctor, who was followed by Hiashi, immediately began an examination, “No obvious fever, but you still seem quite stuffed up and your throat is swollen. I highly suggest a dose of your basic medicine with some strong tea. We’ll see what happens in an hour.”
Hiashi nodded and quickly got the medicine from the cabinet, “Of course.” He glanced at the guard. “Go tell the kitchen to get the tea ready.” He ordered and the guard quickly left.
One sneeze caused an hour of insanity from a fussy family and by the time it was over Hinata wasn’t happy, “If I catch the person who threw that powder at me I’ll kill them.” She grumbled before glaring at the tea she was being forced to consume.
The ‘strong tea’ she’s usually made to drink is a hot tea that’s a mix for several tea bags that are steeped for 30 minutes. The very strong concoction started with lots of peppermint. Then ginger is added to supposedly soothe her stomach. Next green tea and white tea are added with lemon, garlic, clove and pepper. The tea had other things in there, but Hinata could not identify them.
With a couple muttered curse words she sipped the black liquid. She forced herself not to gag because that could be heard as a cough and that would make everything worse. The only good part to this day was when her sister, who was made to wear a hazmat suit before entering the room, came to visit.
“Are you ok, sissy?” A very worried Hanabi asked with her voice being muffled slightly by the hazmat’s mask.
“I’m ok, Hanabi. It’s not what it looks like, ok?” Hinata said kindly trying to comfort her little sister.
“What do you mean? Papa is really worried and he says you reported that you were sick to the hokage.” Hanabi said pointedly.
Hinata groaned and tried to whisper with her sore throat, “I did that because my team wanted me to look up something not because I was sick. I came in contact with some dust and it made me like this.”
Hanabi snickered, “ You’re sneakier than I thought, sissy, but you should’ve tried not leaving an excuse or tried claiming there was clan business. At least, then papa wouldn’t have freaked out. I do it all the time.” She whispered before humming in thought as she ignored her sister facepalming herself. “What do you need to find? I could help.”
As much as she wanted to tell her sister everything she couldn’t have her risk it with how violent the villagers turned out to be, but there was something she could do that could help. “I’m looking for someone’s home. I know they were lying and now I need to find their real home. They most likely have it under a different name and I’m sure it is a Konoha property, but one that isn’t actually in the village or, at least, away from the main village-“
The hazmat suit clad girl smiled excitedly, “I can get you a list!” Hanabi exclaimed and raced out of the room, “and drink your tea, sissy!”
Hinata pouted knowing her sister found this all too funny, but begrudgingly sipped the awful tea before it cooled. It tastes even worse when cold …

Kurama sighed not happy with the explanation about Team 8’s sudden fascination with his human lover, “Hinata is subdued, right? She’s in too much danger if she’s poking the villagers like that.”
“Yes. However, I’m worried the villagers’ feathers may be too ruffled for Naruto to return safely. They might hurt him.” Hiruzen said thoughtfully.
“I agree-“ Kurama sniffed the air and paled, “They’re approaching from different directions, but they’re close to the village!”
Danzo nodded quickly as he signaled to his nearby ROOT guards, “I already called off the team watching Hinata. Can you get all three to training ground 89? It’s a distance for you, but close to my agents and the safest place for stopping them!” He said as he and Hiruzen raced upstairs to get a stubborn and embarrassed Konohamaru.
“Of course! Just get Konohamaru back home before they catch his scent and think he’s me!” Kurama said deeply regretting tainting the boy during his heat. Now he had to stop the first ninjas he tainted or they will target anyone who may have strong chakra or traces of demon chakra. The only reason they haven’t attacked yet is because his heat ended suddenly and the loss of his pheromones confused them.
With the speed of a powerful demon Kurama quickly found what was a human once before. Now the ninja was a snarling warped naked beast with long claws, half a jaw filled with sharp teeth, splotches of what seemed to be poorly formed scales and and fully erect black thorny cock that was swollen to 10 times what it should be.
