A/N: Hello people, there’s another chapter of my story and please don’t be mad at me because I’m incredibly sorry for my lateness. The Halloween and other festivities in my country was fun, but took almost all of my free time. I’m really happy that there are still people which are reading this story. Sasuke: Shut your crap already and give me my Naru back!

9.Chapter ‘‘ Home sweet home ‘‘

‘ Finally… I’m back Naruto.’
After almost month long journey Uchiha Sasuke reached the Hidden Leaf Village. The missing ninja was drained and hungry, yet you could see a spark in his eyes. The raven with ease got through the guards of Konoha and went straight to the Hokage tower. He wanted to short out every formality as quickly as possible and finally to visit the only person in the whole village he came back for. ‘I can’t wait to see you Naruto. I’ve missed you so much my Dobe.’

There were audible gasps then Sasuke was passing Hokage’s tower hallways. The majority of women were gratifying the return of the younger Uchiha, but the men’s population felt quite contrary. Then Sasuke reached the Hokage’s office, he was kind of welcomed by Shikamaru.
‘’ Where do you think you’re going Uchiha?’’ Asked the bored genius.
‘’ I came to meet Hokage. I think that’s obvious.’’ Snarled the stoic raven.
‘’ I see, arrogant as always. So what brings you there to Konoha?’’
‘’ That’s none of your business. Now would you excuse me, I have a meeting with Hokage.’’
‘’ Whatever.’’
‘’ Hn.’’
Shizune’s eyes became twice as big and Tsunade dropped her sake bottle then Sasuke came into the office.
‘’ Good morning Hokage-sama. I have a talk with you if you don’t mind.’’
Tsunade quickly composed herself and nodded for Shizune to leave. The Hokage’s right hand hesitated a bit but left none the less.
‘’ What brings you here Uchiha?’’ Tsunade asked through the clenched teeth. Her blood started boiling from the high posture the raven was standing. She wanted to wipe out that unnerving smirk from his face.
‘’ Everyone are so formal with me today. I prefer just Sasuke.’’
‘’ Okay Sasuke, I think you understand that now you’re announced a missing ninja, the traitor of Konoha and the punishment for the missing ninja is death.’’ Sasuke just smirked at this Hokage’s statement. At this point Tsunade looked so naive to him. Sasuke smirked to himself inwardly. It will be fun to play with Hokage a bit. He didn’t have much entertainment at that snake freak’s cave.
‘’ I know about that however, I killed Orochimaru, the threat to Konoha, so that’s more than enough to regain my reputation here.’’
‘’ Don’t be so full of yourself Uchiha, I can immediately escort you to the cell. ‘’ Smirked Tsunade, but not for long.
‘’ As a matter of fact, you can’t. The elders are on my side. Your hands are tied. Furthermore, I didn’t came back to threaten Konoha or harm the peaceful villagers.’’ The blonde woman frowned and looked at the raven with suspicious eyes.
‘’ So why did you came back Sasuke?’’ The raven walked up to Hokage’s table and crossed his arms on the pale chest.
‘’ I came back because of a personal matters.’’
‘’ What exactly are those personal matters?’’ Asked tensed Tsunade. She anticipated why the younger of the two Uchihas came back, but forbade that thought. Sasuke meanwhile, sighed and answered.
‘’ That’s none of your business but since you’ll know sooner or later I might just tell you. I came back only for one person. The Dobe, to be exact.’’
‘’ That’s what I was afraid off.’’ It surprised Sasuke slightly, that the mother like figure to Naruto didn’t sound not a bit surprised about his statement. But that’s even easier: he will save some more time. The raven chuckled.
‘’ There is nothing to be afraid of. I don’t intend to hurt Naruto… Not much anyway.’’ The last words Sasuke murmured to himself but Tsunade heard them. She stood up and crashed her table into pieces to save some nerves.
‘’ Listen to me Uchiha, I don’t care if you have killed Orochimaru and you won’t be sentenced. I’m warning you, if even one hair from Naruto’s head falls, I will kill you myself! Are we clear?!’’ Sasuke just smirked wickedly and responded just after leaving.
‘’ My intentions to the Dobe are far beyond that… Till next time Hokage-sama.’’
‘’ I will kill him… I will fucking kill him! Shizune!’’
‘’ Yes milady? ’’ Asked still shocked Shizune.
‘’ More sake! ’’
‘’ Right away milady! ’’

Close by the walls of Konoha the shinobi squad was returning to the Hidden Leaf Village. The squad consisted of pink haired kunoichi, the ex root’s member, the wood style master and the silver haired Sharingan holder. The faces of the whole team were gangling. They were sent to find the Konoha’s number one loud mouth shinobi and bring him back, but failed. Then they finally reached Konoha they immediately hurried to Hokage’s office to report the bad news, but they were forced to stop, because they had to face the unexpected guest.
‘’ Sa…su…ke?’’ The said raven barely nodded at the pinkete and turned back to Kakashi.
‘’ Long time no see Kakashi.’’ Greeted the emotionless raven.
‘’ Yes indeed. What are you doing here Sasuke?’’ Calmly asked the silver haired ex team seven captain. He expected to meet his best student sometime, but not so soon.
‘’ I want to meet Naruto, but I can’t find him. Where is he?’’ Hearing Naruto’s name the whole team dropped their eyes. The loss of their teem-mate and good friend tore their hearts apart.
‘’ Naruto is… he is…’’ Stuttered Sakura. The recent events were too much for her, so she started crying. Sasuke’s blood started to boil. He was angry no, the right word would be mad.
‘’ What happened to the Dobe?!’’ Demanded the furious raven, his Sharingan spinning wildly.
‘’ Naruto-kun is missing.’’ Answered Sai, the fake smile plastered on his face.
‘’ And you are?’’
‘’ I’m Sai, the replacement of you in the team seven.’’ Smiled the artist. From the first look he didn’t like the Uchiha. The avenger was radiating an aggressive aura.
‘’ Cheap replacement, but I guess it can’t be helped.’’ Mocked the raven. Then he turned back to Kakashi again. ‘’ Is it the truth Kakashi? Naruto is missing?
‘’ Unfortunately, it’s true. I’m sorry’’ Kakashi bend his head in shame. What else could he say. They have been searching for the blonde for a long time now and found nothing at all. It seemed that Naruto just vanished from the earth.
‘’ Who? ’’
‘’ What did you say Sasuke? ‘’ Asked Sakura sweetly. It seemed that she forgot the whole deal about missing Naruto and her mind was just around the raven.
‘’ Who did this?!’’ Sasuke almost shouted. He was so angry that his usual mask started slipping. The raven was ready to kill.
‘’ Calm down Sasuke, after few days we’re going on another mission of searching for Naruto. You will be able to join us.’’ Offered Kakashi.
‘’ I don’t intend on waiting. I’m going right now.’’
The silver haired jounin put his hand on the raven’s shoulder effectively stopping him.
‘’ Sasuke, don’t be unwise. You’re exhausted. You need to rest. Every extra force will be useful.’’ The raven studied his former sensei. He suspected Kakshi for hiding something.
‘’ What do you know Kakashi, that you aren’t telling me? What happened to the Dobe?’’ Kakashi didn’t managed to hide the truth from the raven, so he explained the whole situation.
‘’ So you’re saying that Naruto was kidnaped by the Akatsuki members. That means… Itachi. I know that it’s his doing…he will pay for that.’’

Change of pov

After Itachi left to settle things with Deidara and Sasori, Naruto summoned all remains of his strength, put his tattered pyjamas and abandoned the raven’s bedroom. It was time to get away. No way in hell Naruto was going to spent another minute in this frigging place.
‘ Kyuubi, can you tell if there’re anybody in this corridor?’’
Yes kit, there’re two guards on the left, about fifty meters far and two more at the end, near the stairs. They aren’t strong so we will be able to take them easily with a few of your Kage bushin clones.
‘ Alright, I’m on.’
Although Naruto was highly exhausted and his back side ached badly he made a few hand signs and summoned a couple of clones, whom sneaked to the guards and killed them. ’ Thank God their guards suck.’ Chuckled Naruto. The easy victory lit the hope in the blonde’s heart to escape.

Since Itachi was sure that after this morning events Naruto was exhausted and could hardly move, he called off the additional guards. Using that to his advantage the blond boy ran away. Naruto easily defeated the guards by the exit and ran away from Akatsuki’s hideout as fast and as far as his tired, bare feet let him.’ I can’t believe I’m free again! Do you feel it Kyuubi? The smell of freedom?!’
I can feel it kit, but the good start it’s just the half win. You need to return to Konoha on your own physical strength, because the baby might die if we use more chakra.
‘ I understand Kyuu, but I feel so damn good right now, after that long visit in that stinking hell hole. I’ve missed the fresh ear, it feels so relaxing…’
Yea kit, I can feel it too…

Time skip

After almost three weeks of grueling journey, Naruto finally came back to Konoha. ‘ I’m finally home again.’ Sighed the blonde. The trip exhausted him immensely. Because of the lack of shoes, Naruto’s soles where full of open wounds. He could barely stand. His pyjamas, from light blue became a muddy grey, but the blonde’s eyes remained the same sky-blue color if not the more intense. Naruto felt safer, he came back home.
Because of his weariness the blonde was too tired to meet Hokage. Instead he just went straightly home. Even though his home was just a small decrepit apartment with only cold shower and mattress instead of a bed, but that was his home and he felt the safest there.
After the cold shower and bandaging his wounds, Naruto hobbled to his bed and instantly fell asleep. Tomorrow will be a long, long day for him…
