The next morning Lee awoke holding a bare Gaara close to his chest and he blushed thinking of last night before cuddling into Gaara. "Mmn.. good morning Gaara-kun.." He whispered out.

Gaara opened his eyes slowly and blinked looking up at his boyfriend, he gave a small smiled and leaned up kissing the older male softly. "G-Good morning...I think that was the best sleep I ever got.." He admitted and snuggled into Lee's chest.

Lee relaxed and wished he could just lay there holding the redhead all day, however a noise outside discouraged that thought. After kissing Gaara back he sat up glancing around. "Me to..." He said softly and the blanket they had around them fell down and he shivered a little at the cold getting up to find all of their clothing. "Gaara-kun... we should get moving.." He breathed out sleepily.

"Alright...I think your right.." Gaara said and quikly got dressed, he winced a little and rubbed his lower back but blushed remember why he was sore. "I-I'm glad you w-were my first time.." He said and hugged Lee after he was done dressing. He frowned hearing a noise again and sighed. "Can't we ever get a break..."

"Mmnn.. heh.."Lee laughed lightly and wrapped his arms around Gaara already dressed as well. "We can not now.. I mean.. heaven for bid the zombies give us a break.." the male replied to his boyfriend. Then he nuzzled him tightly and found their weapons which were close by giving Gaara hsi knife and gun and frowning at the knife Gaara had given him and he put it on before tying his arms up with the ripped off cloth again finding it gave them a break when he was punching things.

Gaara checked the gun then put it in the holder on his waist. "Hey are you teasing me?" He asked then pulled on Lee's shirt till they were eye level. "You sure you can handle yourself with just your fists?" He asked and lovingly nuzzled his head into the older males. He didn't know what the future held so he wanted to be as close to Lee as he could. "I uh..love you.." He added blushing faintly.

Lee held Gaara in a tenacious grip, unwilling to let go at all and honestly just wished the world around them was desolate. The zombies and people were all just in the way of them being close and being together forever. "I will be fine... you just watch yourself.. I love you too.."

The redhead blinked in surprise from how tightly Lee was holding him and rested his head on his collar bone. "I hope everyone is ok...thank you for going with me to find my si-AH! We need to find Temari and Kankuro!" He said then lowered his voice hoping nothing had heard him.

"Shh.. I know I know we need to find them.." Lee said to his boyfriend and then he pulled back from the tight embrace. Gently he raised his large hand and rest it on Gaara's cheek, stroking it gently. "Now just relax and we have to go outside now okay..?" he told the smaller male.

Gaara nodded and smiled up at him. "I'm happy I got you..I couldn't handle doing this alone...if you had died back at the school I..." He trailed off then lifted his hand up and set it over Lee's. "Sorry I'm being a downer.." He mumbled.

"You are not being a downer it is alright." Lee then kissed him and pulled back once again. "Come on, we should hurry outside it already sounds like there are lots of ..them.. outside," He told him simply and smiled.

Gaara blushed from the kiss then hugged him tightly again finding it hard to stay away. "I love you...and I think you and I are going to have to get used to using the zombie word.." He muttered and sighed deeply.

Lee blinked from the sudden hug and he hugged Gaara back again. "Gaara-kun.. it will be okay, we can grow used to it as long as we have each other.." He whispered and ran his hands through that soft red hair trying to calm the younger male.

Gaara tried to ignore how scared he felt, he was more scared of losing Lee and everyone then he was worried for himself. 'If anything happens to them...I have no point to keep on going..' He thought and closed his eyes enjoying the feeling of Lee's fingers in his hair.

A zombie suddenly ripped through one of the windows landing blankly on the floor and tilting it's head looking up right at them but not really seeing them. Lee's eyes widened and he gently pulled Gaara back. "I want to hug you but we need to go now Gaara.." Lee said cautiously.

Gaara shivered a little seeing the blood oozing out of the zombies mouth and took a moment to try and get his gun out of the holder. 'I c-can't be scared...I need to be brave for everyone...' He thought and tensed when he heard more sounds outside. 'It's a good thing they are so slow..' He thought.

Lee let go of the redhead so he could move easier but didn't notice a zombie coming behind them. "A-ah! Crap!" Lee yelled when the zombie grabbed him and he struggled, going to reach for the knife Gaara had given him.

Gaara gasped and seeing the zombie grab Lee's hair and pull his head back made something deep down in him snap, he whipped out the gun and fired blowing the zombies head off. "I am so tired of this shit!" He spat and turned throwing open the doors after picking up the bag of guns and slinging it over his shoulder, he started to walk down the steps and narrowed his eyes at a zombie standing on the steps. Lifting his leg he kicked it down the steps and smirked watching it fall. "Tch this is easier than I thought..." He muttered and looked down when a child zombie grabbed his shoe. He stared at it for a moment then raised the gun and fired killing it. "You coming Lee or are you going to stay up there?" He called and stepped over the child.

Lee's eyes widened when blood suddenly splat onto the side of his face. Quickly Lee freaked out a bit and rubbed his face getting the blood off. "C-coming," Lee said and quickly followed the red haired male down the stairs. "Um Gaara-kun are you okay?" Lee asked and he frowned at the child laying motionless on the ground before stepping over it as well.

Gaara glanced back at Lee his eyes now a darker green then before and barely any emotion being seen in them. "Shukaku...not Gaara...hurry up." He ordered and then lifted the gun smirking as he fired at another zombie but aimed at it's leg so it fell and had to drag it's self. "Heheh...this is starting to be fun.." He said and started walking down the steps again.

"Huh? Shu-ka-ku?" Lee questioned following the smaller boy down the stairs however he winced seeing that the boy who once disliked having to kill the zombies as well was now having fun with it. 'He is different again... like how he used to suddenly act up in school..' Lee thought to himself and spun around kicking a zombie that was coming down the stairs smack in the middle of it's chest causing it to fall back and break it's neck on the stairs.

"Finely...your starting to be a man, I was starting to think I would be the only one fighting these fuckers." Gaara said and then made it to the bottom of the stairs and reloaded the gun. He put the gun back in it's holder after noticing it was making zombies gather and smirked as he pulled out his knife instead, he spun it before slashing open one of the zombies faces that tried to attack him and watched it fall over. "Heh.."

Lee glanced to the back of the temple where a door was opened but no zombies were around. "Come on..." Lee said trying to ignore how Gaara was acting and he grabbed his arm gently pulling him away from the zombies and out to the back of the temple into a small garden. "Gaara-kun... what is the matter?" He questioned keeping his voice low not wanting to draw the zombies attention to them.

Gaara pulled his arm out of his grip and glared at him. "A lot of things are the matter! How about the fact we are stuck out here! You didn't want to drive through the zombies and if you had just done that we would have found everyone.. but no! You are to scared to kill something that is already dead!" He snapped and walked around him.

"I... Gaara-kun... what.. w-what the hell do you think you are saying! Of course I do not want to hurt something that is already dead! How could you just shoot a child... they used to be alive.. it is disrespecting the dead!" Lee yelled not thinking and the zombies started moving towards them again.

"THEY ARE DEAD! Get that through your head Lee! They are the walking fucking dead and they want to eat us! Stop being a pussy and fight! You gonna just stand there when I am being ripped apart by them if I get attack by little child zombies?" Gaara asked glaring at him and started walking again not wanting the zombies to trap them. "If I was to turn into one of them...I would want to be shot...I wouldn't want my body attacking people I loved." He spat and climbed over a fence.

Lee's heart just sunk. How could Gaara be acting so cruel? But it was true.. he could not just sit there and let him be ripped apart.. Moving over Lee jumped over the fence as well and sighed grabbing Gaara's wrist lowering his voice. "I am sorry... I love you Gaara-kun you just need to relax.. you are acting odd again..." Lee said and leaned in to kiss him.

Gaara flinched and backed up. "Don't..." He muttered looking away from him, he moved back more and slipped out of Lee's grip. "You don't really...you loved Sakura and when she died then you noticed me...." He said and walked around a pond that was in the middle of the yard, he cut a rope that was holding a gate opened and walked out into the street.

Lee winced, yep Gaara diffidently was in one of his weird moods again. They always happened so suddenly. "But Gaara-kun... Sakura died because I could not help her.. I will not loose you like I did her.. and I always loved you not her.." Lee said and he had to jog for a moment to catch back up to the red haired boy.

"Yeah sure whatever Lee.." Gaara said and blinked when he heard a loud growl and looked over his shoulder to see another one of the headless dogs, he narrowed his eyes into slits and moved the knife up. "Another one? Come here fucker!" He said loudly and the dog ran at him, he stepped to the side when it leaped and turned the blade so it cut the dogs side as it passed him. He smirked watching it lay on its side for a moment and walked over to it when it started to get back up. "You see? You really gonna let these things walk around?" He asked and set his knee on the dogs side so it couldn't get up.

"Gaara-kun just put it out of it's misery!" Lee called out not enjoying seeing his lover act weird. "Please.. you are acting so strange.. kill it and tell me what is wrong.." Lee was so confused his head hurt. Gaara always did this at times.. would act so.. violent and mean.. but he normally would leave and not allow Lee close.

Gaara rolled his eyes and spun the blade before sticking it into the headless dogs chest making sure it was where the heart was. He watched silently as it died then stood up and whipped the blood off on a shirt that was hanging from a sign. "Nothings wrong, why would anything be fucking wrong?" He said and stepped over the dead dog and kept walking ignoring the few zombies around him and the fact his hands where now covered in blood.

Lee moved over to the boy and grabbed his arm pulling him into his chest. "Something is wrong...Gaara-kun I love you. But if you do not want to tell me what it is you do not have to.." Lee then leaned in and despite Gaara telling him no before he kissed him lightly then pulled back letting out a small sigh.

The redhead blushed at this and pulled out of his grip. "Not Gaara! Shukaku! D-Don't do that...I'm not used to affection." He mumbled and heard a sound behind them and throw the knife it hitting a fence a few inches above a small cat that froze and was staring at them with wide eyes. "Oh well...would you look at that." He said staring blankly at the feline.

"Wait.. what do you mean.. you said that before too.. you are Gaara why are you calling yourself Shukaku?" Lee asked tilting his head a bit and he felt something in the pit of his stomach fill with pain. He did not like Gaara pulling away like that... it hurt him.. they had been together for just a few days yeah.. but still.

Gaara glared at him and rolled his eyes before walking over to where the sat was still sitting and grabbed his knife putting it back in the holder on his chest. "Tch...someone like you wouldn't understand, I feel like getting rid of more of those things." He said smirking looking at a zombie that was limping down the street. The cat moved away from him then mewed running over to Lee and hiding behind him.

Lee was a bit scared at the moment of Gaara. He was completely different not the same. "I would always understand something to do with you.." Lee said and knelt down picking up the poor cat that was scared out of it's mind and he pet it to sooth it, trying to keep it quiet. Just then a loud gunshot was heard and the zombie Gaara was looking at fell to the ground. "Kankuro I said not to fire! You will draw more of them in!" Temari's voice yelled as she came out of an alley way looking a bit bruised up her younger brother following behind her. Then when she noticed the redhead she grinned and ran over to them. "I am so sorry I left you Gaara, are you alright?" She asked happily, glad to see her youngest brother was still alright.

Gaara frowned and walked past his siblings. "Great now I have to look for another one!" He snapped and Kankuro raised a eye brow. "Uh...why is Gaara covered in blood? What's going on? Who are you?" He asked looking at Lee and the cat.

Temari blinked and then realized what was going on. Sighing the older woman moved over and grabbed the blood covered boy pulling him into her chest. "Shukaku go away... come on Gaara... everything is okay.. you can come out.." She said softly rubbing the boy's back gently, holding him in a careful embrace. Lee was still confused but then gave an awkward wave to Kankuro. "Hi.. I am Lee Rock, I go to school with Gaara and uh.. we are dating... I am assuming you are Kankuro his brother?" lee stated and asked yet his eyes never left Temari hugging Gaara.

Gaara stiffened up and after a few moments his eyes slowly went back to their normal light green color, he blinked a few times then glanced around not sure where he was. "W-What was I...w-where.." He pulled back from Temari a little and looked down at his hands seeing them covered in blood. His eyes filled with tears and he dropped to his knees. "T-Temari w-what did I do??" He asked his voice shaking. Kankuro winced looking at Gaara then blinked twice when what Lee said finely sunk in. "WHAT DID YOU SAY?! You're his boyfriend? I don't even know you how do I know your not some creeper huh?!" Kankuro growled and rolled up his sleeve as he glared daggers at Lee.

Temari sighed understanding her brother freaking out, knowing what was going on. She had dealt with it since they were young and Gaara started acting weird when their father kept attempting to hurt Gaara. "Shhh.. it is okay Gaara.. you probably just killed some zombies.. relax.." Temari moved down onto her knees and she hugged Gaara, cradling him into her chest and rubbing his back lightly. Lee's eyes saddened looking at Gaara freaking out but then he winced and sweat dropped backing up a bit. "Uh.. yeah.. I am his boyfriend.. b-but I am not a creeper... I have been protecting him this whole way..." He said and held the cat who was now freaking out again.

Gaara hugged his sister tightly so glad to finely see her again and let out a shaky sigh. "Kankuro l-leave Lee-kun alone.." He said giving his brother a small glare before bowing his head trying to hide his tears. Kankuro crossed his arms and looked at Lee a while more before kneeling down next to his brother. "Are you ok? There is so much blood on you.." He said setting a hand on his little brothers shoulder.

"We just cleaned your clothes too Gaara-kun.." Lee could not help but say and he moved over, kneeling down with them. "Here... I think the cat should come with us.." Lee said holding the frightened feline to his boyfriend. Temari smiled and gently reached her hand up messing up Gaara's hair. "Come on no more crying... we found your friends and they all already got to that house up there. They told us we could come with them since we were survivors but after I said I was going to go find you they told me it was alright. We have the keys to a house near here that has a fast are so we are safe now... alright?" Temari ranted a little bit.

Gaara calmed down and gave a small nod, he lifted his hands to rub his eyes but stopped remembering the blood. "I need to wash my hands.." He said and looked over at the cat who tilted it's head looking at him. "Yeah...we can bring the cat...I like cats.." He mumbled and leaned into Lee a little. "Well alright lets get going, a lot of those things are around here." Kankuro said and stood up and helped Temari up as well. "And you.." He said pointing at Lee. "I got my eye on you mister don't even try anything on my brother."

Lee blinked and sweat dropped a little thinking of last night before Temari took the cat from Lee. "Here.. you both have so much blood on you.. I will hold the cat," She told them and snuggled the kit. Then Lee nodded and picked up Gaara up, holding him close to his chest. "Shh.. it is okay now Gaara-kun.." Lee said and he hesitantly kissed Gaara's cheek ignoring the blood.

Gaara blushed deeply then shyly nuzzled his head under Lee's chin. "I-I'm sorry.." He whispered and set his hand on his shoulder gripping onto his shirt. Kankuro frowned and knelt down picking up the bag of guns Gaara had dropped. "You better not drop my brother...for your split to take over means you were under extreme stress Gaara...are you ok now?" He asked worried. Gaara gave a small nod and then closed his eyes.

"Split..?" Then Lee straightened and looked at Kankuro holding Gaara securely. "I would never drop him," He stated firmly and watched the older male turn around before whispering back. "It is okay Gaara... but we need to talk about this when we are in a safe area..."

Gaara closed his eyes and let out a shaky sigh. "O-Ok..." He said sounding a little upset still. Kankuro stretched and then playfully pushed his sister. "Alright lets get the hell out of here!" He said and glanced at Lee giving another small glare. He still did not trust Lee fully yet.

Temari glared at her brother when she almost tripped. "Kankuro stop playing around right now," The older sister said being serious as usual. But she couldn't help and glance back at Gaara to make sure he was okay before walking over to the military jeep they had setting the cat down in the back and her getting in the driver's seat. Lee sighed seeing them both glance back Did they really not trust him? When he reached the cat he set Gaara next to the cat and got in the back as well.

Gaara picked up and carefully set his hand on the small feline. "I like cats..." He muttered sounding a little out of it and laid his head on Lee's shoulder. 'I hope that doesn't happen again...I don't want Lee to break up with me cause of my split..' He thought bowing his head a little. Kankuro climbed in next to his sister and put his seat belt on. "Ok everyone buckle up...Gaara you ok now?" Kankuro asked and the redhead just shrugged his small shoulders. Kankuro reached back and lightly ruffled up his hair. "Hey don't worry, with us here nothing can go wrong." Kankuro said.

"No Kankuro. Do not buckle up because what if we need to get away in a hurry? I picked out this military jeep because you can grab onto the poles in case we stop quickly and or you can easily jump out. I thought that was our rule number 13, do not buckle up." Lee blinked at the rules then thought about making his own list. 'That is good.. I should make a list to follow by...' Lee thought and then was jerked out of his thoughts when Temari started to drive the car quickly making turns again.

Gaara picked up the cat seeing it didn't freak out when he petted it and held it, really not wanting it to go flying if Temari slammed on the breaks. "What rules? When did you guys make rules?" The redhead asked and then closed his eyes half way when he gazed out at the buildings passing by. 'I guess is not going to snuggle with me anymore now that my siblings are around...' He thought and sighed again. Kankuro sweat dropped then stuck his tongue out at his sister. "Ok with your driving I will risk it, I can get a seat belt off fast and I have a knife if it gets stuck." Kankuro said and crossed his arms. "I wonder if Kiba is ok.." He muttered.

Temari slammed on the breaks when she hit a pack of zombies. "Damn it, why are these things traveling in packs?!" She yelled then leaned over and reached inside the bag Kankuro was holding looking for some sort of explosive. The woman growled when she could not find one and she grabbed a pack of the bullets tossing it down on the ground in the middle of the zombies who all dove for it hearing the sound. "Duck down you two..." She said and then lit a match then lit the actual match pack and tossing it over to the zombies, one of them lighting on fire and landing on the bullets which started to go off. Lee blinked hearing one of his classmate's name's slip passed Kankuro's lips but when Temari went all crazy bitch he quickly grabbed Gaara and pulled him to duck down as the bullets started to pop and go in every which way, Kankuro being pulled down to safety by his sister.

Gaara held the little cat tightly who had started to struggle a little and closed his eyes. 'Jeez Temari! We could have just picked another street!' He thought and then blushed faintly since Lee was protecting him again. Kankuro waited for the sound of the bullets to stop and lifted his head to look at what happened, he saw most of the zombies where on the ground and only three were walking around confused by all the sound. "Damn sis."

"This is the quickest way to the mansion and I am not in a fucking mood," Temari stated and grabbed a gun she had strapped to her side shooting each zombie straight in the head. "Plus, these things disgust me... They are obviously military made... but who would honestly let out an experiment that could do this to people? It makes me sick thinking about it.. worst of all our father even was in the military branch that started all this crap- I mean," Temari immediately regretted what she said. The siblings were never close to their father who always considered the military over them and despised Gaara most of all, but still. Temari knew Gaara hearing about his father being part of creating this mess would make him even more mad and stressed out. Sighing she forgot trying to come up with an excuse and just quieted down so Gaara could ask questioned if he needed to, Starting to drive the car again. Lee blinked, Gaara's father had been part of the people that caused... this...? This crazy world that almost killed all of them and had already taken the lives of other friends? How could he... just what man would support something like that?

Gaara sat up straight then handed the cat to Lee. "W-What?! How do you know that? If that's true why didn't he call us and give us a warning! Does he hate me so bad that he wishes death on me?" The redhead growled then glanced at Lee and scooted away. 'What is Lee going to think of me now knowing what my father did...' He wondered and tightened his hands into fists at his side. "Well...dad's a jackass and the only thing good he ever did for us was train us...but is this what we were trained for? To help take care of a mess like this?" Kankuro asked looking at his older sister.

"Think about it Gaara... where else would I have gotten the jeep? We went there to get his help... but he already died... the coward killed himself so he would not have to be subdued to what he created... Fuck him.. he was never there anyways... But besides that.. I know because the files were on his desk. This is apparently a parasite they were trying to change to help the military with wounds and dead soldiers who were once great in bringing them back from the dead.. but all it does it kill you and take over your mind... The files said once bitten there has been no prove cure... all that is left of the human is just the empty body.." Temari ranted her voice growing from angry to sadder and sadder by the moment. Lee blinked then scooted close to Gaara and hugged him tightly being careful of the cat. 'I never knew Gaara's father.. but when he spoke about him he always said not good things.. I did not think...' Lee thought and buried his head into Gaara's red hair. "I am sorry.." He whispered to the redhead.

Gaara froze and felt like he had gone numb. "H-He's....dead?" He asked his voice sounding hoarse and he was still for a moment before turning and burying his face in Lee's shoulder. He had hated his father...but he never wished death on him. Kankuro was silent for a few moments then reached back and took the cat so it was out of the way, he held the small animal carefully and winced looking at his brother. He already knew all the details but this had to be a shock to Gaara. "Well...they closed off the city...we need to find a way out of here.." The older male said and wished he could comfort his brother but he couldn't hop over the seat with how fast they were driving.

Lee was left as the only person to comfort Gaara holding him close to his chest and whispering comforting words into his ear to keep him relaxed. "It will be alright Gaara-kun..." He said and rubbed the younger boy;s back. Temari winced and tried to keep herself calm, knowing she had to be relaxed and perfectly in tune with her senses if she was going to be driving so fast to keep them protected from the zombies around. "First we have to get to that mansion and see what is going on... the rest of the people who survived are all going there," She said and kept glancing in the rear veiw mirror at her brother who was being cradled by lee.

"Well we may have lost both our parents...but we still have each other." Kankuro said trying to cheer up his brother and unzipped his jacket and then put the cat inside it so it couldn't slip away. "Is it a big group up there?" Gaara hugged his boyfriend back tightly and slowly calmed back down. Kankuro was right...they did still have each other...and he had Lee also now.. "Lee-kun...thank you.." He whispered and closed his eyes again.

"From what I am hearing yes," Temari said to her brother then slowed to a stop when she noticed the lights shut off. "Oh come on! They really are doing this to us? Why don't they just blow us up and get it over with?! We are not a fucking experiment!" The girl yelled then flicked the lights on the car before pulling her hair back into yet another pony tail making the count four irritated with it being in her hair and then she relaxed. "Sorry... I am growing irritated with this.." She said softly to them. "You are welcome Gaara-kun..." Lee whispered back then glanced at Temari. "It is alright Temari-chan."

"Did they really shut the power off to the whole city?" Kankuro asked and pulled out flash lights and handed them to everyone for when they gout of the car, Kankuro and Temari had packed for everything, their backpacks were filled with supplies. Gaara pulled back from Lee but still sat close to him and blinked taking the flash light, he put it in a pocket on the straps on his chest and put Lee's flash light on the older male for him.

Temari growled and sighed having to actually focus on where the zombies were now. "They are probably testing us... waiting to see if anyone can figure out a way around this..." She said and moved to the side again jumping when she hit a zombie. Lee could not help but point out how he felt, "I feel like a coat rack.." He told Gaara because of the stuff stuck on the straps.

Gaara blinked twice and for the first time in awhile he laughed. "Well you are a battle ready coat rack." He said and snuggled into him. "I just want to make sure you have things to keep you safe...your fists can't handle everything..and if we get stuck in the dark you need that light." He said and kissed his cheek starting to feel a little happier. Kankuro raised a eye brow looking back at Gaara and grinned. "Hey if your in a laughing mood I could tell a joke." He said.

"Sure that would cheer us all up I bet," Lee said and grinned back happier that Kankuro was not really glaring at him again. Meanwhile Temari sighed and sunk down into her chair. 'I should have stayed with Shikamaru... I am worried for him...' She thought to herself glancing back at the overly happy couple in the back.

Kankuro cleared his throat then turned a little in his chair so he could see them all. "Alright what did the picture say to the wall?" He asked and Gaara shrugged. "I've been framed!" Kankuro answered and his little brother just smiled and shook his head. "Your so weird." Gaara said and then blushed when his hand brushed Lee's and awkwardly folded his arms. Kankuro looked at his sister then smirked and asked the one thing he knew drove her nuts. "Are we there yet?"
