Author Note: Short chapter I know, the next chapte ris in the works, I promise it will be more promising. No I'm not skipping the fight scene again. Fight scenes are a bitch though and I'm still workign out some kinks. Anyway lets go on.

Chapter: Oto
Heart pounding against a hard ribcage, weak legs shaking, and bottom lip trembling she was barely holding on. She had never liked it here, had found it creepy enough in the first place, but now it was ten times worse. Of coarse the statistics of that discovery were not in the least bit comforting or even feasible in a real world, but she was thinking of the world that Orochimaru had made. Pressing herself closer into the rock ledge of the wall when she heard a scuffling noise echo down the dark and empty corridors she began to chant to herself that she was the wall. This was futile she knew, but there was nothing left to do but futile things.
Everything had become so fucked up and she wasn’t sure how she was going to survive this. She hadn’t even wanted to come here, but when Sasuke had left them they’d had nowhere else to go, so returned they did. The towns people had greeted them and had been as friendly as you’d expect the Oto public to be, and the three of them had gone under ground back into the nightmare that was Orochimaru’s den. Of coarse most of it was destroyed and rubble. Which was why when those red eyes opened bringing the dark light onto the world many of the nin in Oto had gone crazy. Not that they had had far to go for that, she thought ruefully.
Another scuffling sound echoed down her corridor and she froze, her breath caught in her expanded chest. The tingling sensation of fear crawled up her spine threatening to make her shudder but she dared not move a muscle. Even as sweat made her glasses start to slide down her nose she refused to move. Her eyes darting back and forth from one end to the other, as there was no way of telling which direction it had really come from, she waited for a movement to alert her. Nothing absolutely nothing, and what was even more aggravating and frightening she couldn’t even use her ability. Once people went crazy for some strange reason they no longer had chakra signatures, well not until the very second they attacked anyway.
She was beginning to relax when she saw it a shadow moving in the shadows. It could easily be a trick of the eyes, but dread washed over her and she prepared herself to run. There was no sense in staying where she was, even if it was a figment of her imagination. The redhead had learned her lesson already, these things moved fast and one had to be moving faster, or in her case sooner, in order to stay alive. Looking back to the left where she had seen the movement she thought she saw the shadow sway within the shadows as if it were injured. Not that she was going to fall for that trick, oh no, she would leave that person for dead.
Slowly and smoothly she reached down to her feet and removed her sandals and picked them up. Things echoed far to easily in this place and she was about to start running. Without bothering to look back over to the left she took off running from her crouched position, just in time as a large sword slammed into the rock surface where she had just been. She didn’t need to look back to know who it was, she just distinctively knew. Of coarse this was a problem, because there was no way she could get rid of the guy, not without electricity of some sort.
Now as if taunting her he dragged his sword on the ground and the sound of nails on a chalk board echoed through out the hallways, alerting others to his location no doubt. She had no intentions of getting gang raped, murdered, eaten, or worse. Turning to the left she only hoped that she was heading in the right direction. Her feet slapped against the hard unforgiving concrete throbbing with each contact but she pushed past the pain and kept running. Ragged breath pushed past her parted lips and she could feel the threat of tears sting the corners of her eyes.
Run just keep running she berated herself. Recognizing a familiar marking she felt joy race threw her. It was short lived as the wall she was looking at shook and her eyes widened as rock came flying at her. Barely getting out of the way she looked up to see Juugo standing over her in his third stage. As if he wasn’t bad enough in that stage on a normal day, she screeched as he lunged at her and rolled out of the way.
Scampering to get up she felt the flesh of her knee tare and the tips of her toes scrape against the floor, but she ignored it and went back to running. Five four way sections, then turn left, three four ways take a right, one four way take a right, left, right, left, left, right, left, left, right, right, left. She skidded to a stop and breathed her first happy breath since the whole sordid thing had started. There in front of her was the broken down roof that she could escape through.
Pushing all her chakra into her feet she leapt up into the air barely missing a hand grabbing at her ankle. Landing on the ledge it began to give away and she once again cheated death, as it surely would have been if they had gotten a hold of her, and slipped her sandals back on. Looking around she tried to remember which way Konoha was, usually she would have been able to tell by looking up at the stars, but as it was the moon eyes blocked them too.
Deciding anyway was better than standing around to wait for her pursuers to come at her she took off to the left and began to run. She knew that she would have to find shelter soon, and eventually she would have to look for warmer untattered clothes but as of right then getting away was more important. Hoping, something she didn’t do often, that there was someone else sane like her she made her way towards what she hoped was Konoha.

DaBearila I hate typoes. I'll try to remember how to spell your name the way you want it. And oops... sorry ^^; I'll rememeber that too.
To All Readers: I pretty much know what pairings I'm gonna have. But I'm on the fence on a few. SO! In light of that I'd like to hear what pairings my readers would like to see. ^^ As this is a multipairing fic and there will be yuri yaoi and het featured in this fic. Not all the pairings will be liked BUT don't worrk folks I'll be sure to say what pairing is being focused on in chapter title. XD We're a ways away from that, but I thought I'd warn ya'll. SO LET ME KNOW WHAT PAIRGINGS YOUR INTERESTED IN! Hey, if your pairing isn't featured here you may find them in a special fic made just for you~~
