This Chapter is for I Am Telgar~~~ Ur review made me laugh so hard because at first I considered it but I thought of something else…. So I’m giving you the credit for his inner monologue you’ll know it when you see it… so essentially I don’t own that either go figure…
“I do too actually. It’s not bad.” TenTen sat tucking her kimono properly. “Sakura said about mid dinner it should kick in. So when will you really propose to me?” She laughed at the face he made just then. “I’m teasing, Neji. I’m teasing.”
“Hinata-Sama?” The young servant pouring water murmured drawing some attention to the painted heiress who was currently sweating, breathing heavily and a little green around the edges.
“That was fast.” TenTen murmured to Neji. “Very fast.”
“Excuse me.” She rose wobbly and stumbled into the lap of Lan.
“A bucket… a pail… hurry!” Lan barked at young servant who rushed off as Hinata began with some dry heaves.
Lan rose, lifted Hinata and rushed her outside. She knelt over the edge, blades of grass staring back at her waiting to be showered in whatever was in her stomach. Kindly Lan grabbed all the excess material of her Kimono that could become victim of her sudden illness, his other hand grabbed her hair and held that out of the way as well.
“I have the bucket!” The young maid set it down. As soon as it hit the ground, the contents of Hinata’s stomach emptied in the bucket.
“Easy, easy…” Lan murmured gently. This move actually surprised the Hyuuga young lady. All brawn no brain, but much kinder than she anticipated.
“Ugh…” She groaned and the heaves came back.
“They’ll stop in a moment.” He released the expensive Kimono.
“What?” Another heave.
“You didn’t eat much. Your stomach is empty.” His rubbed her back with a soft smile her body continued to lurch. “Since that part was activated in your mind it will continue to try and empty your already empty body.” She fell back on her knees accepting a towel from another maid and wiped her mouth. “See it’s stopped.” He looked at him her face flushed.
“Thank you. For holding my hair.” She averted her gaze to the side.
“Lets get you to your room to rest.” He lifted her and carried her in his arms walking slower than she’d known his large statue to. “Please excuse us. I will walk Hinata-San to her room to rest.”
“My deepest apologies for disgracing myself.” Hinata looked at her knees and Lan left the dining hall a maid leading him through the winding halls to the young Heiress’ room.
“We all get ill once in a while. You shouldn’t have to apologize for that.” Lan smiled at her; again Hinata was reminded of Gai-Sensei. If a shiny glint appeared on the surface of his straight white teeth. “You know, when I found out that my potential bride would be a Shinobi, I was thrilled and intimidated.”
“Intimidated?”
“I wouldn’t be strong enough or clever enough for her.”
“Eh?” He laughed at her shocked face.
“My strength is all for show. I wanted to be a ninja, but that just wasn’t going to happen.” Hinata looked at his pensive face that was no longer looking at her but at the maid leading him to her room. “My brother was rebellious. When he got engaged as a seven year old boy he rejected the whole thing with a passion. The girl he was to marry was a princess type. She got everything she wanted and she wanted my brother because somewhere in her girly flight of fancy she saw them married one day. They took his rejection as being part of that age. You know “Ew! Girls have germs!” But it wasn’t like that. My brother made it through the academy pretty late in age. Finally Genin at the age of fourteen.”
“Fourteen?”
“Family things kept getting in the way of his studies and it kept getting put off at times. One of the teachers came to my brother and told him becoming Genin was making him a real ninja and he could die. He chose the Shinobi lifestyle and broke off what could be a profitable engagement.”
“Your father couldn’t disown him for public purposes.”
“And let him live his Shinobi life.” Lan smiled at her.
“His shame would die out there in that reckless lifestyle and his energies became invested in you.” Hinata sighed.
“I thought the story would sound familiar to you.”
“Here we are!” The maid slid the door open and Lan entered the room and stopped three steps in.
“Hey. Why is your room larger than my room?”
“I’m a girl. We have nicer and better things.” Hinata giggled as he set her on her fluffy bed.
“You girls and your expensive tastes, I wonder what kind of anniversary gifts a big name girl like you expects.”
“I have high standards, and you can’t use my money to buy it.” She laughed then gasped, had she totally accepted the idea of marriage to this conceited man? “It’s my punishment for breaking two hearts.” She sighed thinking the words she had just begun reasoning out. She can’t be happy because she broke the hearts of mean who meant the world to her.
“Anyway, the fact that your father is looking for marriage for you, means you’ve gotten back in his good graces. Turned out better than he ever could imagine.” Lan explored the large room. “But this is your nightmare isn’t it?” He glanced at her open window curtains fluttering.
“Excuse me?”
“All of that freedom. Your life was your own and here you are being forced to give away what you love for someone else’s sake.”
“Lan-San…”
“I’m jealous of him.” Lan turned back and smiled. “While even if you went along with this and I became your husband, you’d never love me like that.”
“Him?”
“The one who makes life flicker in your eyes at the thought of him.” He crossed the room and sat next to her.
“I’m afraid; I don’t know what you’re talking about Lan-San.” She only gasped as he hugged her to his broad chest.
“I’m strong physically and you could kick my ass and I wouldn’t complain, because you’re a kind woman who is more beautiful than I’m sure even you recognize. But within this month of meetings between you me and those other guys you always look so dead on the inside. Your eyes so blank and empty. I know it because I wore the same gaze from time to time.”
“Lan-San…”
“I had my own beloved, but unlike you I’ve never known freedom from a life like this. I could only watch others and I thought with a strong Shinobi wife I could be that much closer to a taste of freedom from this and actually do what I choose.” He buried his face in her hair. “I would treat you well. I wouldn’t be cruel and say mean things with the intent of being cruel. I would apologize when I’m wrong and hope you’d do the same. I would love you the best way I could, Hinata-San.”
“You would?” Hinata looked at him. This kindness, this vulnerability from the ever flexing man was unprecedented and it was genuine, so genuine it hurt. She scooted away from him briefly.
“But I want you to really think on this Hinata-San. My genuine kindness and caring could never replace what has already moved into your heart. My beloved got married no longer wanting to wait on me to choose between duty and her. That hurt-Hinata-San?” His eyebrows furrowed as the girl’s eyes started rolling about in her head before she fell back. “Hinata-San!” He leaned over her to touch her, her face was flush as soon as he touched her she had an incredibly high fever and her body was shivering despite her warmth. “HELP!”

“So he’s the one?” Naruto sat on his thinking swing looking at his hands.
He didn’t know what he was even doing going to her house. No, he did know. He needed to see her. In his mind he wanted to grab her and shake some sense into her. They confessed their love to one another and it hurt them. Love shouldn’t hurt so badly. He imagined something cool and heroic. She’d be in her room wearing that same defeated look she wore when she left him last.
“"I love you and you love me and there is NO WAY in hell I am going to let you marry someone else!” She would then stare back at him her face all flush with admiration. ‘Naruto is so cool!’ She’d think, and then he’d continue. “I don't go back on my word! That's my ninja way! I thought that was ninja your way too!" Then like lightning, common sense would flood her body and she’d stand eyes wide.
“You’re right, Naruto. How could I be so stupid? So long I’ve loved you and I won’t give up now, Dattebayo.” She would then give a cute giggle and he would offer a hand.
“Let’s get out of here, Hinata.” As soon as she took his hand he’d kiss her before pulling back and lifting her and rushing out of the Hyuuga compound and back to his room and things would just work out from there.
Alas, Naruto fizzled out upon reaching her room. Once in her room, her place of inhabitance, surrounded by her scent he felt everything in him tingle in anticipation of holding her again and soon. She wasn’t there but he fully intended on waiting till she returned. And wait he did. He sat on her bed waiting his nerves balled up into uncomfortable tingles as he waited, but thankfully not for too long.
“And let him live his Shinobi life.”
“They’re coming.”
“His shame would die out there in that reckless lifestyle and his energies became invested in you.” He heard her sigh in that gentle way.
“I thought the story would sound familiar to you.”
“Here we are!”
“Fuck!” He looked around the room frantic for a place that would hide him, all proper training out the window right now and, finally he decided, out the window and onto the ledge underneath.
“Hey. Why is your room larger than my room?”
“I’m a girl. We have nicer and better things.” Hinata giggled.
“You girls and your expensive tastes, I wonder what kind of anniversary gifts a big name girl like you expects.”
“I have high standards, and you can’t use my money to buy it.” She laughed more.
“So she was that type of girl.” The fox growled obviously as displeased with her flirtatious attitude as Naruto was. With a final sigh he took off not so stealthily. Who cared if he was spotted?
She’s not that type of girl.” Naruto sighed softly not even having the energy to properly tell off the
“Out of my way! OUT OF MY WAY!” Naruto looked up in time to see Sakura breaking up some kids who were walking in a pack chattering away.
“Sakura-Chan.” He looked at her and she slowed her green eyes landing on him.
“Naruto! Quick question!” She actually looked really distraught. “The medicine I gave Hinata was only supposed to make her faint or something, but she had begun throwing up all of a sudden and I know she has no allergies to what I mixed so… when you two were working on ways to hell was protection used?”
“Hinata’s sick? And you drugged her? What?”
“No time! I have to hurry but I have to be cautious of certain medications if there are other possibilities. Now did you two use protection or not!” Naruto looked up pondering the question, the fact that he had to think that hard was answer enough for the pinkette.
“No-oof!” As soon as the word left his mouth Sakura punched him.
“BAKA!”
“What did I do?” He skidded across the ground.
“She could be pregnant with your baby!”
“What?!?” Naruto gaped as Sakura rushed off. Once away from the fox boy who’s features froze like a Noh mask she laughed to herself.
“Hinata is on contraceptive last I heard, but that’s not one hundred percent. I wonder if it’s food poisoning though.” Sakura frowned. Once inside she nodded to TenTen and Neji, greeted Hiashi the way she should and was finally escorted to Hinata’s room and immediately began her testing, starting with a search of a baby just incase.
Baby…That word played on his mind and continued to further disrupt Naruto’s training for the week that followed. Could Hinata be pregnant? Did she know already? Would she have told him?
“A baby…” Naruto murmured softly to himself. It had been a little more than a week since he spoke with Sakura. “Me, a father…” He sighed at the thought and stretched before flopping back in the summer sun. His shirt had been long discarded to the side along with his pants. There he was lying around in his boxers completely unguarded.
“A father?” Naruto jolted up.
“Shikamaru…”
“Naruto, please tell me I heard wrong.” Shikamaru sat down beside him. “Is Hinata pregnant?”
“I don’t know.” Naruto sighed. “Sakura-Chan had to rush over to see her. She had been sick on the stomach at the all important dinner.”
“You two used protection?” Silence. “Naruto…”
“I have a plan.”
“Naruto.” Shikamaru scratched his head his ponytail shifting to and fro with the movement.
“I really want her, Shikamaru; Them. The baby and Hinata.” Naruto sighed.
“But, Naruto, a baby. Am I the only one who thinks having children is sheer madness for anyone? It’s too much work.”
“I’ve always wanted a family of my own.” Naruto smiled and Shikamaru sighed looking at the sky.
“You really want that?”
“I do.”
“Tell me this plan of yours.”

“You reacted as one would expect a husband to behave.” Hiashi had called Lan back to his home, Hinata still sick on the stomach and they had to bother Hokage-Sama’s apprentice to diagnose the cause TenTen and Neji did have to own up to their displeasure with Hinata’s inability to speak against this marriage agreement and conspired to make her faint with some harmless sleep agent to post pone the decision.
Neither male really caught Hiashi’s Fancy, but that was the purpose. She was to outshine her husband if the Hyuuga name was to keep some high standing. And he wasn’t entirely a bad father; he was keeping Hinata in mind when picking out the men. He had known of Hinata’s most probable love interest, that Dog-Nin that had been on her team. He didn’t like the dog but saw what brought out better traits in her. The Dog-Nin was flashy and beaming with confidence and one of his rays shone a small spotlight on her confidence levels. So she’d need a man similar to that, and thus Lan had been chosen.
The male loved himself that much was for sure, almost to the point of sheer irritation. But underneath that narcissism laid a gentle soul much like his daughter. He had thought he saw glimpses of it when the man had come for dinner time and again, but he saw it in full blast that night two weeks ago. She grew ill and he reacted quickly. Excused himself and made sure she was doing well. Her fainting was unfortunate for him and ruined that, but the two of them had hit it off best, which was good. Some chemistry was required in order to breed more noble Hyuuga children.
“I just treated her with the care she deserves.” Lan smiled, and then flexed. They were going to have to break him of that habit. In any case, Hiashi had been suffering from cabin fever and thought to escort the young man around Konoha as they spoke.
“Yes well, you reacted best the others just sat by like an audience in a theater. The quick thinking will be needed should things happen during her reign as heir.”
“I’m sure.” Lan smiled politely before stopping to stare. The two men and a couple of servants had walked to the edge of town where the Hokage monument was. Lan paused and took a deep breath at the monument. “But I did what any normal person would do.”
“Well normal person response or not, I have decided you will be Hinata’s husband.”
“I will do right by your family, Hiashi-Sama.” Lan bowed.
“He can’t marry her.” A voice called out. “The way I see it, it’d be a huge disgrace if you gave Hinata to him.” Hiashi and Lan turned to look at Naruto sitting on the edge of a wall nearby looking as troublesome as usual.
“You…” Hiashi looked. “…Are that boy?”
“Yeah, the one with the fox that no one is allowed to talk about.”
“Disgrace?” Lan looked at Hiashi then at Naruto.
“What right do you have to butt into Hyuuga affairs, boy?”
“I really would prefer talking it over with you when you don’t have company to entertain.” Naruto just sat there grinning.
“Lan, come along, we can visit Hinata and tell her the news.”
“You won’t want to brush me off. What I have to say will make you furious, Dattebayo.”
“Hiashi-Sama doesn’t have the time to entertain ill-bred Shinobi.” Lan looked at the boy.
“Shinobi?”
“Come along.” Hiashi encouraged his tone threatening now.
“If you’re about the image and pride of Hyuuga that I think you are, then a pregnant bride would be most embarrassing to you.” Now that made the man stop.
“What did you say?”
“A pregnant bride would be more shameful. Especially when the child belongs to the man with the fox that no one is allowed to talk about.” Hiashi whipped his head his long hair gracefully fluttering in the wind. “I told you, you won’t want to brush me off. I’m notorious for a loud mouth.”
*~*~
“Finally he caught on!” Sakura sighed.
“That Naruto isn’t always that bright is he?” Ino sighed rubbing her head.
“Shh! I’m trying to listen!” TenTen swatted at the two girls.
“Mm!” Neji nodded.
*!*!*!
“Pregnant?” Lan looked at Hiashi then at Naruto then smirked finally placing the blonde hair. That hair he’d seen leaving the Hyuuga estates that night.
“When she was just a regular Shinobi we did some shameful things.” Naruto smirked. “They drugged her so she’d sleep, right? The stomach thing not intended, right?”
“You…”
“No, not me. Word travels fast when the woman who is my mate is being pushed onto some stranger.” Naruto sat up. “And if I don’t get a moment of your time in private, it will travel even faster.”

Hahha… I have to end this on an even number. Odd numbers are auspicious to me. Next one will be up by next week.
