Just a warning Jiraiya seems very cold this chapter but he has a reason for it; even though he really hurts Naruto he doesn't know what to do. It will all be explained in the next few chapters. ---------------------------- Naruto wiped at his eyes; for some inexplicable reason his heart was hurting and it was difficult to breathe. Standing on a branch just outside the Uchiha Shrine, he balanced himself as he tried to take a normal breath that didn't hurt his heart. Deep in his heart, it was crying out for love, understanding... Naruto knew that he needed Sasuke. Only Sasuke would be able to help him but Sasuke had left, left him in an unfamiliar world with a strange family that were over protective of him. Not that he minded Fugaku or Itachi, it was just that he wanted that he knew would always look out for him to be there to experience these with him. In a sense to share and create memories in a world where he should have belonged to since he was born. Not including the blush inducing dreams that he had been experiencing lately; he needed someone to ground him. Ground his power that had been lashing out the entire day - beneath the ray of the silver moon he closed blue eyes as pain rushed up his spine and settled over his heart. Was it normal to feel so many different things at once? Well he was a Kyuubi no Kitsune, nothing was normal when it came to him these days. Even Itachi had pointed that out earlier when the elder Uchiha brother had taught him how to control his chakra. Naruto was struggling with his breath, fingernails digging into the bark of the branch. Making it crack beneath his touch as chakra flowed to the surface of his body. His body had been feeling strange the entire day; it was not like the feeling of a cold or a fever. It was much more intense, causing a blush to stick to his cheeks and warm, fiery chakra to rush through his veins - desperately seeking to free itself from his flimsy control. Fingers tugged harshly at the blonde strands; power building through Naruto before pain lanced through his body. Feet carrying him over the tree branches at a blinding speed as he ran out of the Uchiha Shrine and into the surrounding cherry blossom forest. Naruto carefully avoided several trees and used the new burst of chakra to take to the trees - this speed, the control. It seemed to all come to him naturally; as if it had been ingrained in his soul and he could never forget it. But why? Why, he was supposed to no know anything about this world and yet, everything was so familiar... 'Get, away; get away.' His mind repeated over and over again; he needed to get away from the Uchiha Shrine before he hurt them. It was one thing he would never forgive himself for - if he ever hurt any of Sasuke's family especially Sasuke. He may have been a bastard but to Naruto there was something more connecting him to the youngest Uchiha. A constant whisper of thoughts that were caught up behind a wall in his heart; words he could not say, could not understand but what he knew was the truth. Darkness swirled in Naruto's vision when he finally reached a clearing. His senses told him he was far enough away from the Uchiha Clan to cause them harm and in that realization he allowed the emotions inside of him to explode along with the power that had been building through him the entire day. 'Control it! Concentrate it to your palm.' A whispered though drifted through his mind; a small whimper passed Naruto's lips as he did as was asked. Closing his eyes when chakra built in his palm in a blinding light; it was as if he was holding a small sun in the palm of his hand and too bright to look at and too hot to touch. Naruto took a breath, fire swirling around him as it fed the swirling sphere in his hand. "Katon - Taiyo Rasengan! (1*)" Naruto spoke as it came to him; the swirling ball in his hand had now compressed to a smaller size but the power was potent - his chakra burnt his palm. Maybe this was the technique his grandfather had been trying to teach him in the Human Realm but now he finally did it. He leapt forward, the technique exploding against the tree he slammed it against at the whisper of: 'That's it Naruto; let it go.' The ghostly voice make the fox ear pull flat against his head. Rage and pain built in his heart, heart wrenching sorrow poured into the exploding Rasengan. Fire engulfed the tree as the power shattered everything in a ten metre radius of him, setting fire to the grass as fallen cherry blossoms scattered by the wind of the technique. The pale pink blossoms swirled around him softly, lighted by an early orange as the fallen trees were burnt to ashes. In fact everything inside the crater was turned to ash... What had he just done? Naruto couldn't answer the question but it had felt so right at the time but now as he panted for his breath and stared at the burns on his hand - blue eyes glazed in a shimmer of white and the glow of the fire ignited his tanned skin as the last of the fire burnt out. A tingle of power zipped across his skin, the light of the breeze quiet and cooling against the heat that surrounded him. Naruto cried softly; the voice that had whispered in his ear was definitely his father's. But why had he heard it so clearly? Naruto bit his lip as his mind spun; not even paying attention to the cracking of branches around him or the whisper of a chakra against his skin. "What. The. Fuck! I can't leave you alone for a day Dobe and you nearly take out the entire forest!" A deep voice yelled; making Naruto jump in his fright - blue eyes widening when they finally landed on the one who had called to him. Sasuke was leaning heavily against his katana that was pushed against the ground; his looked pale and a sickly blush dusted his cheeks. Naruto's heart leapt into his throat as pain lanced through him. Was it a fever, not this was something more; that fact made Naruto fear what it was that had happened to Sasuke. His tails whipped behind him restlessly as he leapt to his feet. Not even thinking; there was no need to even think he had to do something! Sasuke was hurt... "Wh-what ha-happened!" Naruto shouted desperately. ~~A few minutes earlier~~ Sasuke growled in pure frustration. If he had to spend one more minute locked up in his father's room he was going to lose it; he already felt much better but he knew that if he ran into Naruto there might be trouble. With an exasperated sigh he stood up; placing his katana where he could easily reach it - across his back. Luckily the family dojo wasn't very far away. "Sorry Tou-sama." Sasuke said softly to the empty room as he slipped out of the room; easily controlling his chakra to shatter his father's seal on the shoji door. His footsteps were quiet through the house, he could feel Itachi's chakra signature in his room and his father's in his study; luckily he suppressed his chakra as he crept passed. Naruto's scent was overwhelming throughout in the house and caused the heat in his veins to testify but he bit his lip as he reached the garden. The scent of cherry blossoms were sweet and completely masked Naruto's intoxicating scent and made it a bit easier for Sasuke to walk through the garden and calm his rapidly beating heart. "Hn." He smirked to himself as he stood at the side of the koi pond. Black eyes following the fish as they darted through the water; it wasn't unusual considering he was a Neko Deity and fish darting through the water was enough to entrance him and made him want to lose himself to his childish side and try and catch them. Black cat ears pulled flat against his head as his tail puffed up and he hit the water; eyes closing as the water splashed around him and the large koi scattered. Sharingan eyes followed every movement they made; a childish laugh spilled from his lips - how long had it been since he had allowed himself to just let go like this? Sasuke couldn't remember. A yell of triumph left him as his hand curled around a large koi and he pulled it out the water; it was completely white with a black spot over its one eye. Just as Sasuke placed the fish back in the water; his clothes now damp with the splashed water as his heart finally calmed its rapid beats and the heat in his veins faded. He stalled; nose turned to the winds as Naruto's scent invaded his senses and Naruto's chakra spiked dangerously. Sharingan eyes picking up on Naruto's light blue chakra as it a left a trail through the trees. There was no time to think and he rushed towards his mate - he didn't sense danger but Naruto's spike in chakra wasn't normal. "Fuck!" Sasuke swore colourfully as he took to the trees and rushed towards Naruto at top speed; a blinding light invaded his vision and he closed his eyes as he came to a stop. A large explosion of chakra and power enveloped his Kitsune and it scared him; Naruto was less than fifty metres away but that blinding light exploded outwards; he gasped at the heat and the brightness - it was brighter than the sun and flames engulfed everything in a ten metre radius. He had no time to waist even if he was temporary blinded he rushed forward - allowing his instincts to guide towards his beloved Naruto. By the time he reached the clearing that was now blackened and filled with ash and debris he was panting for breath and his heat fever was spiking again as his mind shouted at him to make Naruto his; now when the Kitsune was in his sight - pulling at his hair in frustration as he mumbled to himself. "What. The. Fuck! I can't leave you alone for a day Dobe and you nearly take out the entire forest!" Sasuke yelled when he saw his Dobe was in pain; he was afraid. Afraid that Naruto had gotten hurt. His heart was sending pain lancing through his body as Sasuke leaned heavily against his Kusanagi to keep from falling over. This was the worst heat he had ever experienced, he could barely stand by himself in the presence of his mate... "Wh-what ha-happened!" Sasuke reeled when Naruto rushed towards him; his heart was beating way too fast as his breath's came in desperate pants. Yet, when Naruto's body collided with his and knocked him to the ground Sasuke was horrified to hear a purr escape his lips. Sharingan eyes dilated when Naruto leant over him; the bluest of azure eyes staring at him with the greatest concern. Fox tails brushed up against his skin and made a small moan pass his lips. This was getting dangerous but he was entranced, entranced by Naruto just as the Kitsune was staring at him intently. Something passed between them in that moment; a thousand words, a million understandings and a hundred emotions - there was nothing left. Sasuke lost his control. His hand shot out and buried in golden hair as he pulled Naruto towards him - nothing was going to come between. "Sasuke." Naruto's voice was haggard with short breaths as a deep blush settled over whiskered cheeks. "Usuratonkachi, if you say my name like that I'm going to lose it." Sasuke warned just as their lips hovered mere millimetres apart; with a small push to the back of Naruto's head their lips connected softly. Both their chakra exploded in that moment; fire and lightning mixing with wind and water with the subtle hint of earth - it was potent and encircled them completely. In that moment nothing could distract them from the emotions that were rushing through them. It was a completion, a kiss of understanding, comfort and unbridled passion. Sasuke swore in his mind when Naruto parted his lips, the taste that assaulted his senses was one to be savoured - a deep vibrating purr built in his lungs before spilling into their kiss. Naruto's shy responses was intoxicating for him, endearing and as sweet as he tasted. It was odd but to Sasuke Naruto tasted like the richest of cream and the ripest of tomatoes. He couldn't get enough. Naruto was submitting to him completely and that in itself was enough to make Sasuke lose control of himself completely and ravish Naruto right there but something held him back; it was that he knew exactly what that would do to the Dobe. He would be hurt and afraid and that was not something Sasuke wanted. "Sasu..." "Shizukesa(2*) Naruto." Sasuke said softly when their kiss finally broke. A mirroring blush dusting his cheeks as it dusted Naruto's; yet there was no adverse reaction. It seemed that both of them had accepted what had happened; understood that this was something more than them - a connection that lasted for more than a thousand years. Sasuke's breath calmed; wildly spinning tamoes stilled and his heart beat decreased as the affects of his heat vanished in the presence of Naruto. He chuckled lightly when Naruto laid his head against his forehead; noses touching lightly as their eyes never strayed from their counterparts. Sasuke curled his hand in Naruto's as the new calm and understanding that settled over them caused every worry, fear and pain to fade. "We should get back." Sasuke whispered softly. His father would be worried and Sasuke hated making his father worry. ------------------------------- Naruto didn't know what was happening but that was nothing new; this entire Heavenly Realm was a catalyst of confusion for him and yet now as he sat in his room with Sasuke sleeping with his head in his lap and fast asleep he knew nothing in what had happened was wrong. He didn't understand how could except it so easily and yet for the first time it was as if everything around him had faded and Sasuke was the only thing there was for him. The only one that he knew would never leave him. A gentle smile passed his lips as he buried his fingers in midnight black hair, chuckling when those cat ears pulled against black hair and the bell rung incessantly as Sasuke unconsciously wound his tail around Naruto's wrist to keep him from tickling those sensitive ears. "Now isn't that just a heart warming sight." Blue eyes flickered to meet with black; nine white tails, long white hair and white fox ears. Naruto's heart skipped a beat. A delightful smile breaking over his lips; he had wondered if he would ever see his grandfather again and now he was happy, just as he was happy he had found Sasuke. "Jiji-chan!" Naruto yelled, ready to push Sasuke from his lap but Jiji's chuckle stopped him with a wave of his hand. It was the signal he knew to be quiet and stop what he was doing. "Don't wake Sasuke; he's had a hard few days." Naruto nodded; fingers carding through spiky black hair. Those words once again made Naruto wonder exactly what it was that had happened to Sasuke and if it was somehow his fault. He blushed as he remembered the kiss that he had shared with Sasuke; it had not been accidental and in that moment he had been so drawn into the kiss that even now as he remembered it he could still feel the softness of Sasuke's lips and the swipe of his tongue against his - so much pleasure in that one intimate touch and yet now as his one free hand was still twined with Sasuke's he couldn't help but want more of that touch. Yet, his pride would never allow for him to admit it. "Naru-chan; there are some things that I need to tell you about the Heavenly Realm since I am sure Fugaku wouldn't tell you." Jiraiya said softly as he seated himself in front of Naruto but far enough away so that his presence did not wake the sleeping Uchiha. He knew very well the consequences of waking a possessive Uchiha and it was not pretty. "You may not know this but every Deity had a counterpart. A counterpart that cannot be replaced by someone else. In other words a soul mate. Fugaku was once Minato's mate but before their marking ceremony could begin they were ripped apart; creating both a painful existence for them that they had to endure. You are lucky in the fact that you found yours or he found you before you even knew of your own heritage..." Naruto's breath hitched in his chest; his father had suffered? Wait was Sasuke his mate? "I...don't understand." Naruto said softly after a while. His ears drooping low against his hair and his tails resting over Sasuke's sleeping form. "Yare, yare Naruto. It's not that difficult. I'm saying Sasuke is you mate." Naruto flinched; those words stung. Blonde bangs covered tears glazed blue eyes as he fought back his emotions. He's been far too sensitive towards other's emotions these days and now he could even detect the subtle touch of exasperated hate in his grandfather's words. He nodded; his fingers stilling in Sasuke's hair as he ignored his grandfather. Being careful to place Sasuke's sleeping form on the futon as he stood up. Shoulders slumping as he finally lifted his eyes. "Why are you here?" Naruto asked softly; he could feel Jiraiya's aversion to the Heavenly Realm especially the Uchiha clan. It was the sudden overwhelming realization that he could feel his grandfather's emotions as his own. The overwhelming hate for the Heavenly Realm, the sorrow for his eldest son's death and the blame he put on his grandson. That was all he needed to know; blue eyes flashed dangerously. Betrayal washing through him. "To see if you're doing alright." His grandfather's answer was sincere but Naruto was hurt; his heart was breaking. "I'm fine, Jiji-chan. I'll be fine; you can go home. I know you hate it here." Naruto said; blonde bangs hiding the pain he knew was showing in his eyes. He flinched violently when arms wound around his shoulders in a brief embrace. Soft whispering words leaving him sniffing with pain and fear. 'I had hoped you wouldn't inherit my empathetic abilities. Gomen ne Naruto. Please forgive me.' "I don't know what to feel anymore Sasuke." ~ The world was bathed in black; darkness a prominent feature in his life. He adjusted the black cloth across his eyes and retied it at the back of his head; fingers curled around his katana - the familiar hum of power washed through his body and a smirk decorated pale lips as the whisper of the wind across his skin whispered of the darkness of the Deities. Yet, such sorrow - it was engraved in his heart every time he stretched his senses. It was like he was missing something very important to him. His world had always been black but that did not stop him from becoming the best swordsman in the Realm and the harshest, coldest warrior there was. Cat ears twitched at the sound of a silver bell; the sound was so pure and beautiful. The chakra signature he felt brush against his skin was warm, filled with love and as bright as the sun's rays he could feel against his skin. He shuddered; he wasn't used to the pure innocence that stained that person but he crept forward. Wind brushed against his cheeks as he flitted through the trees, stretching his senses to feel for the lay of the lay of the land - his katana familiar in his hand when he reached the clearing. Cat ears following the sound of a silver bell. "Who goes there!" He shouted; if he could see he would know that his knuckles had turned white against the hilt of his black and blood red katana. He scowled at the happy giggle that whispered across his skin. "It's just me Oni-chan." A gentle voice flitted across his ears; making him still in his movements. His katana making a soft click as he slid it back into the sheath and placed it across his back where it belonged. A sigh leaving his lips as he bathed in the warmth of the person so close to him. Flinching when he felt a breath tickle across his lips and the sweet scent of rain and sunshine invaded his sensitive nose. "Ano sa, ano sa! Oni-chan why do you wear a blindfold?!" The voice was too loud for his ears but the soft concern and happiness he sensed there broke something within the warrior's heart. The cold and sorrow he had known his entire life shifted; changed and for the first time a gentle almost there smile broke across thin pale lips as his body relaxed completely. The blind warrior chuckled softly; he was the most fearsome deity on the lands and this person wanted to know why he wore a blindfold? Laughter spilled from his lips; lighting cracking the sky as heat built between the two of them. "B-because I'm blind." He managed between chortles. The young Neko warrior couldn't remember that he had ever laughed light heartedly like that. He turned his head, ears following the sound of the beautiful bell as soft fingers traced over cloth that covered unseeing eyes. The touch was overwhelming calm and soft; making the long time warrior frown and shudder at the same time when a sniff invaded his hearing. Without knowing much about gentle touch he lifted his fingers and carefully felt across whisker marked skin before his thumbs brushed away at something wet. "What's that?" He asked curiously; bringing that liquid drop on his finger to his nose and smelling it - startled when a hand swatted at his hand and a loud sob invaded his hearing. "Teme! You don't go tasting Kitsune's tears! That's too intimate for first meetings!" The same gentle voice yelled frustrated. The blind warrior merely shrugged and placed the tear drop in his mouth. "TEME!" He soon found himself pinned to the ground with a heavy weight as several tails brushed against his skin; making a small moan spill from his lips. "Give it back!" The Kitsune yelled and the blind Neko started when a kiss was placed on his lips harshly as a tongue was forced into his mouth; a connection was formed between them in that moment. One that neither Deity could deny nor fate could defy. ~While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
