Chapter 7: The First Admission
The Land of Waves
“Come on for fuck’s sake. Why can’t I do this?” Naruto yelled in frustration as he yet again failed to properly use the Hiraishin. He had been training for three days straight after waking up from his two day sleep after the battle on the bridge. Every time he tried to use the Hiraishin he was only able to teleported a couple of metres before he lost control of his chakra and fell out of the teleport.
“When we get back to the village I’m gonna have to take a look at my Father’s records see if he has any tricks for mastering this fucking thing.” Naruto grumbled as he picked up the scroll he had marked with the Hiraishin formula.
“Stop your grumbling Naruto you are progressing well. At least you don’t blow your hand up anymore.” Kurama joked, lightening the blonde’s mood.
“Yeah you’re right as usual.” Naruto said as he started walking back to town.
“Summoning Jutsu!” Kakashi yelled slamming his palms flat onto the bridge’s surface. In a burst of smoke a small pug ninja dog in a blue vest and Leaf headband on his head sat before Kakashi.
“Hey there Kakashi, what ya need?” the ninja dog said looking around at his new surroundings.
“Hey Pakkun, thanks for answering. I need you to take a message to the Hokage for me.” Kakashi said pulling a rolled up scroll from a specialty vest pocket over his heart.
“Sure thing Kakashi.” Pakkun said taking the scroll in his mouth before running off in the direction of the Hidden Leaf Village.
“What is that about?” Tazuna asked the silver haired Jonin.
“Mission report for the Hokage.” Kakashi replied as he walked over to a bored looking Sasuke.
“Are you alright Sasuke? You didn’t have much recovery time from the battle.” Kakashi asked standing in front of the brooding Uchiha.
“Why are you letting that ice user girl stay? She was an enemy combatant and Naruto’s a traitor for harbouring her.” Sasuke challenged his Squad Leader.
“She has a unique Kekkai Genkai that may be useful to the village. So until I get the Hokage’s orders on the matter she can stay.” Kakashi replied keeping his knowledge to himself.
Two Days Later
“How much longer until the bridge is completed Tazuna?” Sakura asked the bridge builder as they sat eating dinner.
“Not much longer three days at most. But hopefully no longer than two, two and a half.” Tazuna said as he looked around the table. To his right was Tsunami, next to Naruto, then Haku, across from him was Kakashi and to his left was Inari, next to Sakura, then Sasuke. He owed his life to these ninjas and his village owed them their future.
There was a scratching at the door and all at the table turned to stare at the door. Getting up from his position Kakashi walked over to the door and opened the door. Sitting at the base of the door, huffing and puffing was a tired and sweaty Pakkun a wrapped scroll at his feet.
“Pakkun you’re back already I wasn’t expecting you until tomorrow.” Kakashi said surprised.
“Yeah well the Hokage said it was urgent I return with this message. I believe it is an important mission. The village was in a bit of an uproar when I arrived.” Pakkun said between pants and puffs.
“Thanks for all your hard work Pakkun. See ya!” Kakashi said making a few signs then Pakkun disappeared in a puff of smoke.
“I wonder what’s going on back home.” Sakura said aloud as she looked at Kakashi as he picked up the scroll and opened it and began to read.
“What’s going on Kakashi sensei?” Naruto asked seeing the stony face of Kakashi as he turned back to the group sitting around the table.
“Sensei what is it?” Sakura echoed.
“It’s Hinata, she was kidnapped last night and there was an attack by the Hidden Stone on one of our border patrols. Only one man survived the fight, he died last night.” Kakashi said before looking at Haku. “The Hokage has granted your request to return to the Hidden Leaf with us.” Kakashi said.
“So what’s our mission?” Naruto and Sasuke said together before glaring at each.
“Finish guarding the construction of the bridge then to rendezvous with Squad Eight as they track Hinata’s kidnappers. Then find and rescue her before joining Squad Ten and Squad Nine at the border skirmish.” Kakashi said turning to face his team. “Naruto, Sasuke we will help Tazuna finish this bridge by tomorrow night. Naruto how many clones can you make now?” Kakashi asked looking at the blonde hoping the blonde could pull of this plan.
“A thousand easily Kakashi sensei, I could probably push it to fifteen hundred.” Naruto replied looking at Kakashi with understanding.
“No need, a thousand will be good enough should be able to finish the bridge by mid-afternoon.” Tazuna said with a broad smile on his face.
“Good. Sakura, Haku I’ll need you on guard duty you can rotate every two hours or so.” Kakashi said, a bit of pride entering his heart as he saw his team’s determined faces as they nodded their understanding.
It was afternoon the next day and the bridge was complete. The whole village had come out to see the completion of the bridge. Most of Squad Seven was surrounded by the villagers and Tazuna’s family. While Haku was watching over the exhausted Naruto as he slept against a support railing.
‘Ah Naruto always pushing yourself, you didn’t need to make two thousand clones.’ Haku thought, silently giggling as she stroked the blonde’s soft silky hair.
Tsunami who had been watching Naruto as he slept couldn’t quite keep the slight blush from her face as she slowly walked over to the sleeping blonde. “How is he?” she asked Haku.
“He’s fine; he’s just recovering his lost chakra. This is what he gets for showing off.” Haku giggled as she stroked his whisker scares. Haku and Tsunami giggled louder as Naruto growled deep in his throat as he rubbed his cheek against Haku’s hand.
“How can a guy sleep with all this giggling?” Naruto asked yawning as he stretched.
“Sorry Naruto but you’re very cute when you sleep.” Tsunami said giggling at his look of disbelief.
Grumbling about not being a cute sleeper Naruto followed by Tsunami and Haku walked over to where his squad was being celebrated.
“Have a nice nap?” Sasuke smirked looking oh so superior.
“Eh wasn’t bad, can’t complain.” Naruto shrugged nonchalantly.
Sakura overhearing the conversation couldn’t help but giggle at Naruto’s bored as hell comeback. Naruto walked past his two Genin teammates up to Kakashi as he was talking with Tazuna about the naming of the bridge.
“So what are you planning to name the bridge?” Kakashi asked.
Looking past the silver haired Jonin to the approaching blonde Tazuna answered. “How about the Great Naruto Bridge? We owe this bridge to your squad but him most of all.” Tazuna said as Naruto stopped beside Kakashi.
“Sounds good father.” Tsunami said walking up behind Naruto and placing her hand on his shoulders.
Squad Seven was making good time as they travelled back towards the Land of Fire’s borders. Kakashi led the way, followed by Sasuke and Sakura, then by Naruto and Haku. They had travelled the four hours between leaving the newly constructed ‘Great Naruto Bridge’ along the river that ran alongside the road to the Land of Fire to where they had first encountered Zabuza.
“Alright it’s almost dark better set camp.” Kakashi said halting the group.
“This place brings back memories.” Naruto grinned at Haku, who looked at him with a questioning look.
“This is where I first saw you. Where I confirmed your scent, which proved Zabuza was working with a team.” Naruto said as he searched through his backpack for his sealing scroll. Pulling it out he quickly unrolled it and placed it on the ground. Making a few hand signs, he slammed his hand down onto the scroll. In a puff of smoke standing atop of the scroll was a pure white snow rabbit.
“This is yours isn’t?” Naruto asked picking up the snow rabbit and passing it to Haku.
“You kept him, after you threw a kunai at me?” Haku smiled at her own joke.
“Uh yeah, guess I did. You aren’t mad?” Naruto asked scratching the back of his head.
“No, I’m glad actually. I spent a lot of time raising this little one.” She said as she kissed the blonde on the cheek. She followed Naruto as he began to set up their part of the camp across from the other three members of Squad Seven.
“Naruto help me set up a perimeter.” Kakashi said as he grabbed an extra roll of thin wire and a set of explosive tags from his pack.
“Coming Kakashi sensei,” Naruto called as he grabbed a roll of wire and sheets of explosive tags from his own backpack.
Late the next afternoon as the sun began its descent Squad Seven rendezvoused with the waiting Squad Eight. Squad Eight’s leader Kurenai Yuhi looked at Haku with surprise as she walked beside Naruto at the rear of Squad Seven.
Kurenai and Kakashi walked a little way away so that black haired Genjutsu Mistress could inform their squad leader in on the mission details. As the two leaders talked off in the distance, Naruto pointed out the two members of Squad Eight: Kiba Inuzuka and Shino Aburame.
“Who’s the slut?” Kiba chortled from high in a tree with Akamaru on his head yapping like he was laughing at Kiba’s comment.
“Shut up Kiba!” Naruto growled allowing Kurama’s chakra to flow into him allowing it to change his right cerulean blue eye blood red like his left. He glared sideways at Kiba who instantly shut up as he saw his death in those fearsome blood curdling crimson eyes of Naruto.
“It’s alright Naruto names don’t bother me.” Haku said leaning in closer so that only Naruto could hear her whisper, “Besides I’m your slut aren’t I?” she whispered before kissing his cheek, giggling as she watched him growl as his body reacted to her whispered words.
Before an argument between the two Genin could erupt Kakashi and Kurenai returned and began to lay out the mission for the two teams. “As both teams know Hinata was kidnapped almost four days ago. Kurenai’s team has tracked them heading towards the mountain pass that leads towards the North Western border with the Land of Hot Water, which means we may be dealing with Hidden Cloud shinobi from the Land of Lightning which lies beyond the Land of Hot Water.” Kakashi said to his team.
Turning to Shino, Kakashi asked questions to so he could plan the two teams’ next moves. “Shino are your insects still tracking Hinata?”
“Yes, she is not far ahead,” Shino replied.
“How far ahead, half-a day, a day?” Kakashi asked waiting for specifics.
“Half-a day, a day at most, we should catch them if they take the mountain pass.”
“Good, alright then Kiba and Shino you will lead with me. Sakura and Sasuke will follow behind with Kurenai. Naruto you and Haku will take up the rear. If we’re engaged I want you to study our enemies and try and rescue Hinata while we have their attention.” Kakashi said as he set out the team’s orders.
“Yes Kakashi sensei.” Naruto acknowledged looking at Haku beside him giving her an excited grin.
“Okay let’s move out then.” Kakashi ordered as he summoned Pakkun to his side.
Pakkun lead the way besides Shino, they were followed by Kiba and Akamaru, Kakashi and the rest of Squads Seven and Eight. The two teams quickly followed Shino’s bugs who were quietly tracking Hinata’s scent. They had been travelling for about two hours when Kiba caught Hinata’s scent.
“Kakashi sensei I’ve got Hinata’s scent she can’t be more than a couple of hours in front of us.” Kiba called back to the silver haired Jonin.
“Excellent we should catch them sometime tonight,” Kakashi said.
They continued to follow Hinata’s scent as Shino and Kiba lead the way. The sun had begun to sink below the western horizon as the group came to the entrance of the mountain pass. Kakashi called a halt and waited for Naruto and Haku who were bringing up the rear.
“What’s the plan Kakashi sensei?” Naruto asked walking up to the rest of the group.
“Let’s find out, Shino can you send your insects out to search the area for Hinata? Pakkun and Kiba will also search to pin-point Hinata’s scent. The rest of us will set camp here.” Kakashi spoke as he looked between the assembled Genin.
Camp had long been made with the moon already high in the darkening dusk sky when Kiba and Pakkun returned to camp with Shino already talking to Kakashi and Kurenai.
“My insects have located the enemy’s position.” Shino said as Kiba and Pakkun joined the two Jonin and lone Genin.
“We also found the enemy.” Pakkun said.
“Where and how many?” Kakashi asked the two newcomers.
“They are in a cave about halfway along the pass. There are eight altogether, six of Chunin level and two Jonin.” Pakkun said as he relayed the information on the enemy positions.
“Is there any other way into the cave?” Kakashi asked the ninja dog.
“No, there is only one way into the cave.” Pakkun replied shaking his head.
‘So we’re either going to have to set an ambush or draw them out of the cave.’ Kakashi thought as he tried to determine which the best tactic to retrieve Hinata was.
The moon had begun its descent into the western horizon as the members of Squads Seven and Eight moved into position to either ambush or draw out the Hidden Cloud ninja that had kidnapped Hinata. Naruto moved closer to the cave entrance as a Cloud ninja exited the cave. Naruto stalked closer and closer to the lone ninja before being forced back into the shadows as another two ninja exited the cave and joined the previously alone one.
“I can’t believe that Hyuga bitch still won’t willing give it up.” Said the right-most Cloud ninja as the other two grinned at some hidden joke.
“Yeah remember what happened to Dee when he tried to force himself on her.” The left-most ninja said laughing.
“Yeah she almost kicked his teeth down his throat.” The middle ninja laughed alongside the others.
“Yeah well she won’t do it tonight. Tonight she will give it up or we’ll all take a piece of her.
As Naruto listened to the Cloud ninja laughing about Hinata getting raped he got angrier and angrier. ‘I can’t let them hurt her, I WON’T. She was the only one who didn't hate me. I’ll kill them all.’ Naruto promised himself.
Naruto snuck closer to the three cloud ninja. Taking a kunai from the holster on his left leg he aimed for the middle ninja. As the moon was hidden by the passing clouds above, he threw the kunai at the neck of the middle ninja, severing the unsuspecting ninja’s spine. As the first ninja went down the other two were shocked into inactivity for a few seconds. A few seconds that spelled their doom as Naruto sprinted at them and cut open their throats with the hidden blades in the gauntlets attached to his forearms.
‘Three down five more to go.’ Naruto thought as he began sneaking towards the cave entrance. He quickly reached the cave entrance and pushed himself against the side of the cave mouth. He quickly peeked inside before pulling back as another Cloud ninja walked towards the cave’s entrance. The ninja called out to the one of the three ninja that Naruto had already killed. There was no response and Naruto pushed himself against the stone wall as far into the shadows as he could. As the Cloud ninja walked out of the cave Naruto struck with his hidden blades again, his right piercing the ninja’s kidney his left cutting the ninja’s throat.
‘Four left, they’re all dead they just don’t know it.’ Naruto thought angrily. He peeked around the corner of the cave mouth and scanned the cave’s interior. Naruto could see the other four Hidden Cloud ninjas; they were facing the back of the cave where a tattered, battered and beaten Hinata was tied up. Naruto growled seeing the bruises that covered her face and when one of the ninjas moved and he could see her black eyes that growl turned into a bloodthirsty snarl.
“Time for some fun bitch.” The largest of the four ninjas said as he approached the tied up Hyuga. Hinata was shaking her head as she tried to shift backwards away from the Cloud ninja as the large ninja stalked her.
‘No, No, Naruto now, kill them now.’ Naruto screamed to himself in his mind.
Naruto rushed forward as the four Cloud ninja crowded around the cornered Hinata. The large leader grabbed and ripped off the jacket and shirt of Hinata revealing her large milky white B almost C-cup breasts, the cold air causing her exposed nipples to harden and stand out before her four would-be rapists.
“Shadow Clone Jutsu,” Naruto shouted creating three exact clones of himself. The three clones and the original all drew their lone Katana and leapt upon the startled Cloud ninja. The two remaining Cloud Chunin died instantly as the Katana of a clone and the original Naruto pierced their hearts killing them instantly. Naruto and his clones had the two Jonin surrounded and pressed back to back as they just fought to stay alive against the angry blondes.
All four of the Narutos brought their hands together in a cross seal and Naruto summoned another six clones to attack the two Jonin. As the clones engaged the two Jonin Naruto stepped back and looked for an opening. As one clone tripped one of the Jonin and another kicked him towards another clone. Naruto took his chance and rushed forward and ran the Jonin through, stabbing his sword through the side of his stomach before slashing out and opening up the ninja’s front and spilling his guts on the cave’s floor.
Then it was a ten on one fight and Naruto had no thought of taking prisoners he was in the hold of his bloodthirsty self. He was going to kill every Hidden Cloud ninja. As the remaining Cloud ninja tried to dodge the overwhelming odds Naruto was able to get behind him and as the Cloud ninja turned to face him Naruto slashed with a left handed backhand and removed the ninja’s head from his shoulders. The look of surprise plastered all over the decapitated head.
Naruto instantly dismissed all his clones and rushed to the tied up Hinata. He quickly cut the ropes that bound her. As the last rope was cut and fell away she threw her arms around the kneeling Naruto as she sobbed into his shoulder. He lightly wrapped his arms around her waist as he allowed one of the few people that never hated him to cry and use him as a pillar of strength.
“Hinata are you ok?” Naruto asked as he gently held the sobbing midnight haired beauty.
Hinata nodded into his shoulder before slowly pulling away from him so that she could look him in the eyes. She saw her pain reflected in his eyes, saw the promise she wished for with all her heart. Making up her mind, she would give herself wholeheartedly to this boy with dual-coloured eyes that exuded power and destiny. Staring at the boy that had rescued her she leaned forward into a hungry kiss, taking his lips onto her own.
That was how the two were found a couple of hours later at sunrise. Naruto leaning back against the cave wall, Hinata wearing his black jumper as she straddled his waist, her body pressed against his, her head on his shoulder as she slept. The other team members entered the cave looking around at the four dead and butchered Hidden Cloud shinobi.
Naruto held his finger to his lips telling the others to be quiet. He could sense the jealousy radiating off of Kiba, the anger that flowed from Kurenai and the disgust that came from Sasuke.
“You’re late Kakashi sensei.” Naruto said as he ran his finger along a bruise on Hinata’s face flooding Kurama’s chakra into the wound. The bruise disappearing as Naruto’s finger passed over it.
“Yeah well when you disappeared from your post, we had to go looking for you.” Kakashi growled at the nonchalant Naruto.
“I’m not that hard to find either dog breath over there or bug boy should have been able to find me with their sensory abilities.” Naruto quipped curing another of the bruises on Hinata’s face. Looking at Haku he patted the ground beside him, smiling as Haku sat next to him and watched as he again healed another of the bruises on Hinata’s face.
Kakashi sighed as he shook his head and again looked around at the four dead ninja. “You killed them all, why?” He asked the blonde who was healing Hinata’s split lip.
“Because they were gonna rape and possibly kill her if she fought back, I couldn’t let that happen not again.” Naruto said as he finished healing Hinata’s split lip. “Besides it was easy enough. I killed six of them without breaking a sweat.” Naruto continued as he healed Hinata’s wounded ear. “Now if you don’t mind I think some sleep is in order, it’s a bit taxing to heal all of Hinata’s wounds.” Naruto yawned laying his head back against the cave wall his eyes fluttering shut and his body slowly sliding sideways to lean against Haku.
Naruto was instantly awake as Hinata and Haku shifted against him. Naruto quickly looked around the cave searching for any sign of danger. The bodies of the four Hidden Cloud ninja were gone. He quietly sighed as he thought to himself, ‘what the fuck am I doing?’ he questioned himself. Again looking around the cave he watched the other members of the combined squads. Kakashi, Kurenai and Shino were sitting around the fire that was burning brightly in the centre of the cave below a natural vent in the cave’s roof. Sasuke was sitting alone at the cave’s entrance staring outside. Sitting on separate sides of the cave staring at Naruto and the two sleeping girls were Sakura and Kiba. Naruto could sense the jealousy and longing emanating from them. Kiba’s was directed at Naruto himself, while Sakura’s were directed towards the girls close to him.
“Ah you noticed the power and prestige of being an alpha.” Kurama said into Naruto’s mind.
“What are you talking about? Their jealousy, is that what you’re talking about?” Naruto asked the chuckling fox spirit.
“Yes you can sense it with the Inuzuka. He wants what you have. Same with the pink haired female she wants what the other two have.” Kurama answered to an internally nodding Naruto who was quickly catching on.
“She’ll never have what Haku and Hinata have. Sasuke will never give it to her; he’ll probably just use her for his own use.” Naruto said with a clear insight of Sakura’s internal struggle.
‘What’s wrong with me?’ Naruto thought as he thought about the conversation with Kurama and the spike of positive feelings when he talked about Hinata and Haku.
Dawn the next morning the two squads were on the move to rendezvous with Squads Nine and Ten on the south western border with a fully recovered Hinata travelling with the rest of her squad, occasionally sneaking peaks back at Naruto.
“Kakashi sensei did you learn anything new while we were resting yesterday?” Naruto asked the silver haired Jonin as they ran.
“Yes it seems this is a bit more than a simple border skirmish, the Hokage has sent two other Genin squads, four Chunin squads and two Jonin squads to reinforce the border with a total of fifteen squads.” Kakashi told the blonde Genin who whistled at the size of the sixty one man force the Hokage was sending to the border.
“So is it just the Hidden Stone attacking or is it an alliance?”
“At the moment the count is thirty Hidden Stone shinobi.”
“So why the overwhelming manpower then or is it simply for show or is this an extermination?” Naruto asked puzzled by the size of their own forces compared to their enemies.
“Good thinking Naruto but it also has something to do with the Hidden Stone’s previous tactics of hiding their overall numbers.” Kakashi explained to the blonde.
“So how long until we reach the border?”
“Three days at minimum. We should reach the rendezvous with the other squads about mid-afternoon the day after tomorrow.”
“Then what are we waiting for let’s pick up the pace.”
“Easy Naruto this is the best pace to get there fastest.” Kakashi chided the eager blonde who just grumbled about being able to go faster for longer.
“Yes Naruto, but only you can do it.”
It was sunset three days later when Squads Seven and Eight rendezvoused with Squad Ten at the border camp. Ino fussed over Sasuke as he and Sakura followed Kakashi and Kurenai as they greeted Asuma Sarutobi squad leader of Squad Ten. Again Naruto had been at the rear of the group accompanied by both Hinata and Haku. As the three teams mingled Naruto stayed away from the other Leaf shinobi standing around at the edge of the camp as the other teams came over to greet the newcomers.
Haku watched as Naruto withed slightly before the looks of hate and disgust that the other Leaf ninjas threw at him as they looked down upon him. She walked over to him and drew him away from the gazes of the others, now she fully understood the pain and hardships he faced even from his own comrades in arms.
The two squads began to set camp alongside the other thirteen squads’ camp. Again Naruto set his stuff away from the others as far away as possible as was safe. He was joined by both Hinata and Haku who set their own camp supplies not so far away from his own.
“Hinata, is Naruto always like this around others or is it the large amount of people close by?” Haku asked the midnight haired Kunoichi.
“No this is how he usually acts around large groups of people. I’m not sure why though he’s never let anybody get that close to him.” Hinata replied looking at the blonde as he unrolled his sleeping bag and set it next to his backpack, he was still fully armed.
As the two girls talked they watched as a sickly looking bandana wearing Special Jonin walked over to Naruto who was slightly startled when he turned to face the approaching Jonin.
“Hayate sensei, what are you doing here?” Naruto asked the sickly looking Jonin.
“I’m the commander in charge of this force.”
“Cool, how have you been? How is Yugao sensei?”
“Good, she was promoted to the Hokage’s bodyguard unit. So how has your swordsmanship (Kenjutsu) training coming along? Where is your other katana?”
“It shattered during my fight with Zabuza during our mission to the Land of Waves.” Naruto replied with slight disappointment evident in his voice.
“Zabuza, what you mean Zabuza Momochi? You fought the Demon of the Hidden Mist?” Hayate asked shocked that Naruto was capable of going toe-to-toe with Zabuza Momochi.
“Yeah but Kakashi sensei was the one that defeated him, I just kept him distracted long enough for Kakashi sensei to strike.”
“Don’t be so modest Naruto. You are progressing faster than I expected, would you like me to teach you advanced Kenjutsu ninjutsu?”
“Yes Hayate sensei I need to get stronger.”
“Alright we’ll start tomorrow when we’re not on duty. Now I better inform Kakashi and Kurenai on the current situation” Hayate said before turning around and walking towards the gathered Jonin.
The next morning while Squads Eight, Nine (Team Guy/Gai) and Chunin Squad Hana was out on patrol Hayate started to train Naruto in advanced Kenjutsu techniques.
“Naruto I’m going to teach you the hidden leaf style Kenjutsu technique the Dance of the Crescent Moon. This technique is an A-Rank technique so it might take some time to master. The main part of this technique is to distract your opponents with shadow clones so that you can attack from above with a chakra enhanced slash aimed at the neck and torso all at the same time, like this.” Hayate said as he proceeded to show Naruto the technique step by step.
“Hayate sensei how many clones should I use as a distraction?”
“For a single opponent two should be perfect but no more than six.”
So Naruto practiced for hour after hour under the watchful eyes of Hayate Gekko. Not far away Haku and a few others watched as Naruto trained to become stronger then he already was.
It was just after lunch when the three squads returned from their scouting missions. Naruto was training with Hayate when Hayate had been called away by Kakashi who reported the return of the three recon teams.
“Naruto that’s enough training for now return to the rest of your squad.” Hayate said as he turned and followed after Kakashi.
As Naruto returned to Squad Seven’s campsite Haku walked over to him, “Why are you back so quickly?” she asked the blonde as he sat down next to his gear.
“Training finished early, the recon teams are back and are briefing Hayate sensei. So I guess we’ll be moving soon.”
It was almost an hour later when Hayate and the rest of the company’s Jonin addressed the combined ninja squads.
“Our scouts have located the enemy less than half a day from the next village along the border to the north. Our best guess is they will attack the village tomorrow night or dawn the next day so we have to move closer so that we can defend the village and ambush these invaders.” Hayate said as he outlined the two plans that the Jonin had come up with.
That night they camped about ten kilometres out from the border village. Naruto was restless as he tossed and turned as he fitfully slept. He was eager for the combat that would occur the next day.
The silver light of dawn was covering the sky when Naruto bolted awake. He looked around at what should have been the rest of the company camp. The rest of the company was gone including the rest of his own squad. Looking at Haku who was sleeping nearby he quickly got to his feet grabbed his gear and raced to wake her. Shaking her awake as he continued to buckle on his ninja tools his sword lying beside his leg.
“Haku hurry wake the fuck up.” He almost shouted as he shook her again her eyes just starting to flutter open.
Seeing how agitated Naruto was she was instantly awake and looking around at her surroundings. “Uh Naruto where is everybody else?” She asked quickly getting up and started helping him clear up their camp.
“No idea but if I know those fucks they’re probably somewhere between here and the village probably lying in wait to ambush the Hidden Stone.”
“So let’s head to the village I’m sure we will catch up with the rest of the company.” She said trying to figure out why they had been left behind.
“Why the fuck should we, it’s fucking obvious they left us behind for a reason, hell I wouldn’t be surprised to see those Hidden Stone ninja come running around the corner.” Naruto screamed his frustration at being betrayed yet again.
Haku quickly threw her arms around his neck and held him close to her body. Naruto quickly disentangled her arms from around his neck, turning his back on her he grabbed his bag and began walking off in the direction that they had come from the day before yesterday.
“Uh Naruto where are you going?” she asked grabbing her own bag and starting after him. Naruto stopped and turned to face her, his eyes down cast. “I don’t know.” He said looking around the clearing.
“Why don’t we just head to the village? We can decide what to do from their besides I think Hinata might want to know whatever you decide along the way.” Haku said feeling a little dumb for bringing up Hinata when Naruto was furious about being betrayed.
“Ok it sounds like a plan besides if we come across either group we can just kill a few of them.” Naruto said an evil nasty wolfish grin on his face.
Naruto and Haku had been walking for about two hours when they heard the sounds of battle off to their right.
“Naruto isn’t that fighting coming from inside the Land of Fire’s border?”
“Yeah, do you wanna check it out it or just continue on our way to the next village?”
“Might as well, Hinata might be over there fighting.” Haku said slyly.
They picked up the pace and ran towards where they could hear fighting. They stopped just short of the battlefield and watched as two squads of Leaf shinobi battled twelve Hidden Stone ninja.
“Well Hinata’s not here should we continue on our way or do you want to…” He said his sentence trailing off as he watched a beautiful Leaf Kunoichi with three ninja dogs fighting by her side.
“Naruto was it?”
“Stay here and just back me up I have some Stone ninja to kill.” He said jumping to the next branch forming a cross seal with his fingers. Eleven copies of Naruto and the original continued forward closing in on the hidden enemy ninjas. Within seconds the twelve copies of Naruto were in position behind their designated target.
Naruto nodded to his clones and as one they descended on the Stone ninja many getting instant kills with their hidden blades. Naruto stepped from the branch he was on and dropped straight down on the ninja below him his katana piercing through the ninja’s shoulder through his lung and pierced his heart killing him instantly. Looking around he could see twelve dead Stone ninja he quickly dispelled his clones and just before he was about to jump back up into the tree a female voice called out.
“Stop right there Demon Brat.” The mysterious female voice shouted. He could hear the smile on her face when he flinched at the name. Very few of the village shinobi had ever called him that (Not to his face anyway). Naruto sheathed his katana and waited as the Konoha shinobi surrounded him most had a drawn kunai in hand.
“So this is how you thank someone for saving you from an ambush huh?” Haku said from high in a tree behind the encircling Leaf shinobi. She was leaning against the tree trunk with her right hand; in her left she was tossing up and catching a sharpened ice spike.
“So being left behind this morning was a betrayal. Let me guess let the Demon Brat get caught and killed by an enemy ninja and hope the Nine Tails gets killed as well, right?” Naruto said calmly even though he wanted nothing better to tear loose and kill every single one of the surrounding ninja.
“Well that wouldn’t fucking work if you died I’d have a 50/50 chance of being freed or banished for a century only to return to the world at full power completely free.” Kurama said in Naruto’s mindscape.
“Really?” Naruto asked his fox inhabitant. In the outside world he was shaking his head in astonishment.
“What’s going on?” the group’s leader asked as she walked up to the encircling shinobi her three hounds at her heels. She stopped dead looking at the blonde boy that was surrounded by her colleagues. Sniffing the air her pussy started to moisten and her nipples harden as she started getting light headed at the power and prestige he was emitting, he was an alpha and this boy knew it. Stepping past her subordinates she walked forward until she stood face to face with the blonde.
“Who are you and what are you doing here?” she asked trying to be in a dominant position.
“Me, I’m Naruto Uzumaki supposedly a member of Squad Seven but... well who knows.”
“Naruto where have I heard that name?” she asked aloud.
“He’s the Demon Brat, he’s the Nine Tails Fox.” The female Kunoichi from before said.
“Really he’s a demon? He’s the Nine Tails? He doesn’t look like a demon or a fox and he definately doesn't have nine tails.” The leader joked as she continued to study the blonde.
“No I’m not the Nine Tails. I’m his prison.” Naruto said looking at the female with the three dogs. He could smell her arousal and sense her interest in him. “So what now? We go our separate ways or you gonna drag me back to the rest of Hayate’s task force?” Naruto continued finished flirting with the pretty Kunoichi.
Naruto and Haku walked into camp behind Hana and her three hounds. For much of the trip Naruto had been sneaking peaks at Hana’s ass that was barely covered in her formfitting shorts. On the trip they had learned Hana’s name and that she was Kiba’s older sister.
“Okay you two follow me.” Hana said as she led the two towards the centre of the camp.
Sitting around a large makeshift table were ten Jonin. As they approached the table Hayate looked up from the map the Jonin were studying, “report.”
“We came across three squads of enemy shinobi. They are dead thanks to these two I didn’t lose a single person.” Hana reported to the gathered Jonin. Hayate smiled and nodded to Naruto. He was surprised when Naruto just grunted and looked away.
“Good you’re dismissed. Hana show them to Squad Seven’s camp site.” Hayate ordered turning back to studying the map on the table.
“Ok guys follow me. We should be passing the other Genin teams along the way.” She said as she led them further into the large campsite. They passed the camp of Squad Ten with Naruto greeting Shikamaru and Choji as they passed Naruto assuming Ino was probably somewhere around Sasuke, ‘probably arguing with Sakura, how stupid.’ He thought passing Squad Nine and coming to the camp of Squad Eight.
“Hey sis, what are you doing here with the idiot?” Kiba yelled as he walked over to Hana, Naruto and Haku.
Naruto just sighed and turned away and walked straight into the approaching Hinata, knocking her down. “Sorry Hinata, are you ok?” He asked helping her to her feet.
“I’m okay.” She said as Naruto helped her stand allowing her to lean on him as she tried to steady herself.
“Hey Hinata, do you know why Haku and I got left behind?” Naruto asked his voice low enough that only she could hear him.
“I have no idea. We were told that you were going to be the rear scouts.” Hinata answered just as quietly.
“Who told you this?”
“Kakashi and Sasuke did.” Hinata said with a look of confusion on her face.
“What is it? What’s wrong?” Naruto asked looking concerned as Hinata began holding her head.
“Naruto step back, NOW!” Kurama shouted in Naruto’s mindscape.
“What Why?” Naruto asked the fox spirit.
“She’s been implanted with a hypnotic suggestion.”
“How the fuck is that possible?”
“Sharingan remember I told you about being controlled when I was forced to attack the village. Well something similar is happening here someone with a Sharingan used it to implant a suggestion in her mind that would have a specific trigger.”
“So what do we do?” Naruto asked as he stepped back and watched Hinata fall to her knees grabbing at her head screaming in pain.
“Well without a Yamanaka to invade her mind and remove the suggestion, we could do it if you are willing to risk her seeing your memories and feeling your emotions, she may also discover your plan for the village.”
“We’ll do it I won’t kill her just to protect myself.” Naruto growled, he was going to kill Sasuke and Kakashi for this betrayal.
“Ok just channel my chakra into your hands then place them on her temples we should be able to enter her mindscape from there.”
Naruto did as Kurama directed channelling Kurama’s chakra into his hands, his body becoming cloaked in a single tailed cloak of the Nine Tails chakra cloak. He placed his hands on Hinata’s temples at the contact both Naruto and Hinata screamed in pain as Naruto fell to his knees his hands still on Hinata’s temple.
Naruto was standing in a dense grey fog. By his side was a wolf sized orange/red fox with nine tails.
“HINATA, where are you?” Naruto yelled cupping his hands to his mouth.
Turning to Kurama beside him Naruto asked. “What do we do now? Where do we go from here?”
“Use your senses you should be able to smell or sense Hinata.” Kurama said looking up at the blonde.
“I can’t smell anything at all, can you?” Naruto asked the nodding fox.
“Yeah I can smell her and I can smell Sasuke. Follow me Naruto.” Kurama said stepping in front of Naruto and flicking one of his tails at him. Naruto grabbed the tail and allowed Kurama to guide him along.
Naruto didn’t know how long they had been walking. He didn’t know if it had been minutes, hours or even days as they passed out of the fog into a forest clearing. Lying tied down wrapped in vines from neck to ankle was Hinata standing over her was a grinning Sasuke with his Sharingan activated and an emotionless clone of Hinata.
Naruto and Kurama walked over to the two invaders of Hinata’s mind, Naruto drawing his katana.
“So you’re behind this huh Sasuke.” Naruto said as he stopped above the bound Hinata who was looking up at him with hope in her eyes. Beside him Kurama growled as he saw Sasuke’s activated Sharingan.
Sasuke didn’t even answer just attacked with the Hinata clone right behind him. Naruto quickly cut the vines that bound Hinata’s arms before jumping backwards away from the closing Sasuke, Kurama following suit.
The Sasuke creature quickly flashed through a bunch of hand seals before blowing a fireball at Naruto. As Naruto dodged Sasuke drew a kunai as he charged at the dodging Naruto. Naruto easily blocked the kunai strike pushing the blade up above Sasuke’s head before bring the blade down in a back hand slash across Sasuke’s neck. The body of Sasuke fell backwards the head rolling away as the body hit the forest floor.
Fighting at the foot of the tied up Hinata was Kurama and the Hinata clone. Kurama shoulder charged the clone knocking down the clone before pouncing on the clone his jaw closing in around the neck of the clone and began squeezing down crushing the clone's neck and wind pipe. The clone burst into a cloud of smoke as Kurama’s jaws snapped shut.
Naruto ran over to Hinata and kneeling above her feet he completed cutting the vines that tied her down. As their hands touched their minds were flooded with images neither of them recognized or understood. The flood of images seemed to last forever until they both fell, pure black darkness surrounding and enveloping them. Naruto fell hearing the words he thought he would never hear.
