Iruka shook, laying on the bed his eyes glossed over, his body numb, blood began to pool around him, he’s been stabbed, five times, he’d counted every time the bastard pushed the blade into his body, Iruka had played dead after the fourth stab, Mizuki had bought it and left, now Iruka was alone, on his bed, holes in his back, his white sheets were drenched in crimson red, Iruka shook placing his hand on his abdomen, fear filled his mind, hoping the baby was ok, if it wasn’t there really was no point to trying to save himself now… /Move… please move/ Iruka shouted in his head, praying something would happen, anything, Iruka muffled a cry his body shaking, he whimpered biting the pillow under his head /MOVE!/ Iruka startled feeling a faint flutter inside his abdomen, on shaky legs, the brunette got off the bed, he stumbled towards the door, his vision blurring and darkening, He would have to get outside before passing out, somewhere someone could see him and call the police!, he had to try and save himself, and the baby, Iruka stumbled out of the room his eyes drooping, a trail of blood following him, Iruka groaned softly looking at the stairs, he just had to get down twenty-five steps, then the front door was right there!, Iruka stepped down onto one of the stairs, he held onto the rail fearing to fall, Iruka clung for dear life his hands shaking, taking another step the brunette hunched over the rail shaking, coughing up blood, his eyes went black, shaking his head Iruka brought himself back, stumbling down another step, Iruka began to pant blood running down his chin, he prayed to the gods to help him, in any way! He didn’t care! Just as long as he was saved, Iruka swayed again, his hands slipping off the rail, he fell forward eyes closing finally giving into the darkness.

Beep - Beep - Beep - Beep - Beep
Iruka’s eyes opened slowly, a he frowned noticing white, a dark room, white colors, annoying sounds of beeping and cleanliness and medicine, Iruka sat up straight eyes wide, his arms were covered in wires and tubes, he was dressed in a white hospital gown, Iruka was in the hospital!, The brunette scanned the room, he was alone, the lights were off as if in an attempt to let him sleep, he shook holding his head, he was dizzy, everything spun, Iruka started hearing the door open
“Oh! good Your awake, we were all really worried about you” Iruka frowned at the blonde haired woman as she walked in with her cart, she was a nurse, judging by her clothes, Iruka frowned when she walked over checking his arm looking for a vein
“I’m Vicky, I’m here to get some blood work for the lab, so don’t mind me” the woman’s voice was cheery and loving mother like voice, Iruka frowned, he was at the hospital, he was alive, he shook sniffling his hand beginning to shake
“T-the… Baby?” Iruka asked in a small voice, fearing the answer he was going to get
“Perfectly healthy, baby boy” She smiled brightly, Iruka frowned confused, healthy baby boy? How the hell did she know? Iruka was only a month along, if that!
“How?....” The nurse’s eyes widened slightly
“O-Oh! You... Don’t know... How long you have been out for... you’ve been unconscious for six and a half months… I’m sorry I must have really confused you… ” Iruka’s eyes slowly went wide, he’d been out for… Almost seven months…. His baby was ok, alive and breathing…
“I… I want to see him” Iruka’s voice cracked, he was tired, but sleeping would have to wait, he wanted to see the precious baby boy, he wanted to look into the child’s eyes and welcome him to the world, Iruka wanted to meet the baby he almost died to protect
“Of course, he’s in the nursery with his father right now, let me go get him!” The nurse said taking the two vials of blood and rushing out, Iruka tensed body stiffening, and Mizuki was here, in the hospital, with his baby? Iruka shook pulling the wires and tubes off him; Mizuki was going to kill the baby! Mizuki was going to destroy Iruka’s life! And after all Iruka had gone through! Iruka stood on shaky legs, crying as he fell to the ground, he hadn’t used his legs in almost seven months, and now they felt as heavy as lead, but shook like jelly
“You shouldn’t be moving around so much… It’s bad for you in your condition… you just had a baby yesterday” Iruka looked up, that cold heartless voice, he knew that voice, Black eyes met black eye, Iruka relaxed seeing the silver haired teen walking towards the bed holding a small bundle wrapped in a blue blanket, Iruka calmed himself down a little, his body relaxing, the nurse was confused, Kakashi wasn’t the baby’s dad, Iruka was going to kill the nurse for worrying him so much, Kakashi shifted the bundle into one arm, and with his free arm, effortlessly lifted Iruka to his feet and kept him upright, Iruka shook sitting back onto the bed eyes wide looking at the bundle
“H-he’s… really ok?” Kakashi nodded slowly slipping the baby into Iruka’s arms
“Yea he’s fine, it was you everyone worried about… you had lost so much blood, and hit your head so hard... You were in a coma all this time…” Kakashi said softly watching the brunette hold the small child, he shifted feeling a bit out of place, but he couldn’t leave, the sight in front of him was too beautiful
“What happened… how did I get here?...” Iruka asked softly, not once taking his eyes off the small baby in his arms
“I… realized you were missing… Mizuki was gone too… I went to your house to make sure everything was ok… your door was locked but I heard you cry out inside… I got worried and… I got inside... You fell down the stairs...” Iruka frowned as he listened to the silver haired teen’s story, he did fall down the stairs, and he remembered that, he remembered falling and blacking out
“You hurt yourself real bad doing it too… You had a concussion… It also made your body weak; you almost lost the brat…” Iruka shivered laying back on the bed staring at the baby in his arms in awe; he blushed when those bright blue eyes peeked out at him from under small eye lids
“He’s so…. Perfect” Iruka mumbled softly running his finger across the boy’s soft pudgy cheeks, a smile forming over his lips, he didn’t even bother to notice the nurses as they reattached the IV’s in his arms, he just stared into those deep baby blue eyes
“You should name him… he is your son… And we can’t just keep calling him ‘baby boy’ all the time” Iruka frowned a bit shaking his head
“I… I... Don’t know… He…”Iruka frowned looking at the baby tears forming in his eyes, he hardly knew this child, throughout the boy’s development he’d been silent, he’d not been there, the boy probably didn’t even understand who Iruka was, how was he supposed to name the child he never had a chance to bond with. As if reading his mind Kakashi sat beside the brunette, he placed a hand on the brunettes shoulder rubbing small circles
“You probably don’t understand how much this child loves you… in the day and a half he’s been born, he has yet to stop crying, Until he saw you at the door way, He knows who you are, and he wanted you.. he wanted his mother, he loves you” Kakashi pulled the mask down smiling softly at Iruka, the Brunette looked the silver haired teen over, looking for any sign of lies, in those beautiful features, Iruka shuttered sniffling as he looked down to the baby
“I want you and Chibi to stay at my place with me when you get out of here, Mizuki is still out there, and I’m sure he still has a spare key to your… ‘Home’ ” Kakashi said a small smile crawling onto his face as he looked the baby boy over
“Besides, me and the kid, we’re pretty much best friends now” Kakashi added with a laugh
“Not ‘kid’ Naruto… His name... Is Naruto”
