Chapter 7

Neji pushed his foot off of a thick branch and went flying toward the next one his hair was floating behind him lightly. He enjoyed the air passing over his cheeks as he leapt silently and easily through the tree branches. As he passed through not even a bird would be disturbed by his presences this was how fast he was moving and silently he didn’t make one branch rustle under his weight as he pressed off the next branch and seemingly flew to the next a few yards away.

Neji looked to his side and saw Kiba was just a bit behind him and Sasuke was just a nose behind. It has been said that Neji was the fastest and strongest young ninja. He had already been proven wrong by Kiba in the strength department. He could only guess Sasuke was probably faster than him or as equal since he was keeping in pace with him easy enough it seemed.

Also Neji was very pleased that Sasuke, had shown just how good of a third companion he could be. By keeping silent and not being too loud or annoying. In fact Sasuke had not really said anything since they started off five hours ago.

Neji had found himself looking over the Uchiha boy not really thinking about it since there wasn’t too much else to do. He never really had the chance to do so before. Neji noticed how extremely black Sasuke’s hair was and how it stuck up and defied gravity if Neji had more of a sense of humor he may have found that amusing. Neji saw this as something that looked nice on the boy, he had lovely pale skin his face was unmistakably handsome.  Neji could tell that there was no flaw on this young and supposedly last of his clan and the only young fire ninja left in the village.

Sasuke seemed to note that Neji was looking him over after time. He pushed off another branch and pointed a head of him. “You might want to keep your eyes on the front you know.” Sasuke said trying to be helpful so that the one he was guarding wouldn’t collide with the tree trunk he was heading for.

Neji looked in time to dodge around it and leap to the next branch. Neji couldn’t believe he had been caught up so much in staring at Sasuke that he was about to crash! Kiba gave a little deep growling as he had noted Neji’s to long stare at the Uchiha as well.

Neji looked over at Kiba a moment “Hey now what is the matter?” Neji wondered hoping that Kiba wouldn’t be to upset he was just looking at Sasuke so he’d be honest. “I was only looking at Sasuke because I have never seen him really before. So stop getting so growly for no reason.” Neji said to his mate as he landed on another branch and sailed to the next. Kiba gave a little huffing sound that sounded dog like as he too flew after his mate.

“Am I growling for no reason?” Kiba wondered to Neji as he watched Neji roll his eyes at him. “Don’t roll your eyes at me.” Kiba said showing his fangs to Neji as the two went on a bit further Sasuke fell behind just a tad to keep watch from the back of the group for a bit.

Sasuke had never cared if anyone paid attention to him before. He could careless for some reason the attention of Neji was very nice to Sasuke. Sasuke had been looking over how nice and fit the Hyuuga boy was. Neji’s body moved so fluently and graceful.  Sasuke didn’t have to turn his head much to see he could pretty much feel how powerful Neji was just from the chakra dispelling from that pretty frame.

Sasuke also found himself enjoying this nice peaceful trip so far. Without the annoying loud mouthed bickering from his immature team mates. Sasuke believed he didn’t need anyone, but if he had to be stuck with someone in a team being with Neji made much more since to him. They were both very strong and could make a deadly force together. Though Sasuke wasn’t so sure about this smelly dog nin that was also coming along. Why on earth would the Hogake allow aloud mouthed creature like him to come along on a mind clearing mission he wondered. Kiba could be just about as bad as Naruto, Sasuke thought.

Though at the moment Kiba wasn’t being very annoying or anything which was good. Tell he gave that little animalistic growling. As if he was being jealous over Neji just looking at him. Though something inside Sasuke started to well up why should this pretty boy be subject to what this annoying dog boy thought or felt. Neji should be with him he thought they’d make the perfect pair. Kiba was stupid and would hold Neji down. Neji really needed to be free from his uncle Sasuke thought. Just like Sasuke need to figure out away to destroy his brother. He knew how Neji felt Kiba didn’t the Hogake had chosen well for Neji’s other body guard Sasuke went on silently thinking to himself as he fallowed after Neji and Kiba.

“Don’t tell me what to do,” Neji began when Kiba was trying to tell Neji not be getting an attitude with him. “I roll my eyes at you because your taking something so unimportant and blowing it out of proportion.” Neji said and landed on another thick tree branch they were coming on their sixth hour of traveling they had not stopped for one break yet.

Sasuke jumped up onto the large tree trunk and walked around it and stood on the side of the tree looking down at Neji who had crouched down for a moment looking as if he might spring away to the next tree. “Why don’t we take a breather?” Sasuke wondered with his arm’s crossed seeming to stand very comfortably on the tree, “I am sure the dog over there needs to water some trees and have some food he seems to get cranky without his mid day meal.” Neji’s body relaxed from its thence coiled like position when Sasuke suggested a break.

Kiba had landed next to Neji and had crotched down and was going to grab hold of Neji’s shirt collar and pin him down and show him that he could tell Neji what to do no matter where they were. Kiba had the Alpha leader like mind and Neji was his submissive Alpha. Who wouldn’t disrespect him it was just the way of his being to act like a dog.

“What the hell are you talking about Akamaru can go for five more hours if he needs too!” Kiba snapped up at Sasuke thinking he was actually talking about his dog.“I know when my own puppy needs a break.”

“I wasn’t talking about the puppy, I was talking about you.” Sasuke answered back still keeping his tone low like he was just trying to point out that Kiba needed to rest and there was nothing shameful about it.

“Well you don’t know shit about me then I can go for twenty hours without rest!” Kiba huffed he crossed his arms and stood up glaring at Sasuke.

“Wow that is pretty amazing of you then,” Sasuke shrugged “I just thought maybe you were getting a little grumpy or something. Since we past over lunch time. With all the growling and yelling you were doing at the one we are suppose to be guarding on his peaceful quest.” Sasuke answered him calmly.

Kiba gave a little dog sounding humph to what Sasuke was saying then his stomach did betray him and give a little growling sound. He was pretty hungry damn it he thought and sat on his ass on the branch.

Neji sighed and shrugged, “Kiba it is ok if you wanted to take a break I don’t mind really.” Neji said looking over at the dog boy who seemed to be even more annoyed that his submissive uke, was telling him it was ok to be tired. When he was suppose to be the strong dominate one of the two. It felt like Sasuke was just trying to make a fool out of him in front of Neji.

Kiba sniffed toward Sasuke, “yeah well just stay away from Neji he is mine. I can smell your hormones starting to stir I don’t want you touching him or you’ll regret it pal!” Kiba put his arm around Neji and pulled him hip to hip with him. He showed off his pretty white fangs growling low.

Sasuke was a bit surprised that Kiba had picked up on this so quickly. Sasuke didn’t act like he was surprised but that was pretty quick on the dog boy’s part.  Sasuke rolled his eyes “I think your just paranoid and insecure because you think you’re not good looking enough. Or good enough for Neji to stay with you. So you’ll growl at anyone won’t you?” Sasuke wondered still staying clam not showing this situation was troubling him in the lest. “Well I think we all know that Neji choose you and isn’t going to be pursuing me and I really don’t have time for a relationship.   I have other things to take care of in my life. Like becoming the greatest ninja and become stronger than everyone else. Not worrying about trying to steal someone’s boyfriend so don’t worry Kiba.” Sasuke hoped this would help pull some wool over the very over protective dog nin’s nose so to say since it seemed he could smell better then see with his eyes.

Neji looked at Sasuke when he said this about Kiba being paranoid, in away Neji could sort of see what Sasuke was meaning. Sasuke was very good looking, perfect, fit and probably could kick Kiba’s ass or torch it at lest. Though he wondered too what Kiba had been smelling maybe it wasn’t paranoia he knew that Kiba had a very strong since of smell that went beyond just the physical.

Somehow though thinking of Sasuke wanting to come near him and touch his body kind of excited Neji he felt a bit ashamed of feeling this way. It was flattering to have someone who wouldn’t give anyone so much as a passing thought in there village somehow though Neji was worthy to this boy.   He looked up at Sasuke silently.  Kiba then took hold of Neji’s hair that was coming out from under his cap.

He pulled his head back glaring at Sasuke, the feeling of Kiba’s nails in his hair felt really good yet powerful at the same time. Kiba’s grip tightened so it wasn’t a pleasant feeling at all while the top of his head came down on Kiba’s chest. “See this!” Kiba said running his claws over Neji’s mating mark. Showing it off to Sasuke like it was sign.“This means he belongs to me and even if someone merely thinks about touching Neji in a sexual way. I can tell because Neji is now connected to me.” Kiba said growling lowly, “I can tell what Neji is feeling as well I can smell it so if he is getting turned on by another male I can tell its not from me.” Kiba’s grasp on Neji’s hair became even firmer. “You were thinking about Sasuke too weren’t you,” Kiba growled right over Neji’s  adams apple making Neji’s face go very red.

Sasuke rolled his eyes but didn’t feel like he needed to say anymore on this matter he felt like he had done nothing wrong. Though something inside of him just wanted to sock the dumb dog off the pretty boy there was no way anyone could tell this on Sasuke’s face.

Neji huffed a bit and tried to break away this was humiliating Neji thought. “Kiba unhand me right now.” Neji said in a warning tone when Kiba pulled him back and ran his fangs over Neji’s exposed throat lightly. Kiba’s grip on Neji’s body only became even firmer then before. Neji didn’t want to have to hurt Kiba but this was very absurd of him to act this way. Neji then swiftly brought both his arms around to either side of Kiba’s body then formed two fingers and shoved them hard into both of Kiba’s arm pits. w Kiba yelped and let Neji go and he crouched back by the tree trunk holding his arm pits where it really hurt, glaring at Neji . Akamaru was barking at Neji for hurting his master.

Neji then stood up and looked down at Kiba, “for one thing my thoughts are my own to keep no matter what kind of thoughts I am having. You might be my mate and I am pleased with that fact Kiba. You will not dictate me like my uncle, mate or not I don’t care,” Neji said firmly “I will not be walked on again or controlled do you understand me?”

“Yes But Sasuke he…” Kiba began and Neji cut him off.

“I don’t care about Sasuke, or what he said or thought in his mind Kiba. I want to be with you I know I am with you so stop this nonsense already its only wasting energy.” Neji said with his finger tips on his hips looking down at Kiba who looked now more like a kicked puppy then anything.

Kiba sighed and nodded at Neji, “alright I understand you,” Kiba’s voice sounded a bit husky as he was sorry for treating Neji like that. He stood up right and walked over and nuzzled Neji. “I am sorry I over reacted baby.” Kiba said giving him an affectionate dog wine and licked him on his neck while glaring at Sasuke who’s face didn’t seem to hold any thoughts about the entire situation.

Neji couldn’t seem to help but lean into Kiba’s lick then he pushed away. “Good now if it is alright can we continue on or do you really need to take a break?”

Kiba shrugged. “Nah I am good we can go for at lest another five hours I am sure. Right Akamaru?” Kiba wondered looking up at the white puppy who yapped at Kiba happily.

“Alright then now that this is settled lets keep moving shall we?” Sasuke wondered before he sprung off of the trunk and vanished swiftly through the trees.

Neji fallowed suit and Kiba was close behind on Neji’s tail he decided to enjoy the view for awhile.  Neji’s sent floating back through his nose on Neji’s wind, that his pretty body was making. This made Kiba ‘s mouth water he smelled so damn good. He wondered how long he could keep his inner beast at bay before he had to mate with Neji again.
