Naruto stood next to Sasuke who was now sporting monk's attire. He smiled as he looked at the decorations around them, he had been the one to suggest to Sakura and Iruka that they get married on the day of the festival. He glanced over at his best friend, "Oi, you ready for this, Sasuke-teme?"

"Che dobe." Was the raven's reply but it was said with a gentle tone. Sasuke was glad to have his best friend back. Surprisingly Sasuke really fitted in as a monk, after all he's been through and all he'd seen he liked the idea of helping others find their path. Now he would marry his other best friend. He smiled a bit at the thought but quickly returned to his scowling expression before anyone could see the Uchiha smiling. He heard the blond beside him chuckle and elbowed the hokage in the side gently, somethings never changed.

Naruto stepped forward on the platform, his robes flowing around him, and began his speech, "Today, we celebrate the return of light and hope to Konoha. Five years ago, the village had been plunged into darkness. It was because of a great kunoichi and one of her fellow shinobi that the light and hope arose anew. Today we celebrate the return of Konoha's prosperity, and also today we celebrate those two shinobi that fought to bring back this village's prosperity, even by going into the depths of Tartarus to do so. But it is also a day we celebrate the joining of this celebrated Kunoichi and her beloved. Join with me now to honor this ceremony of Haruna Sakura and Umino Iruka being joined in a holy union."

Sakumo glanced up at Kakashi for a moment, "What does, Hahaue mean by "holey you-yawn"? Can a yawn have holes?"

The crowd laughed at Sasuke's comment, especially when Iruka went pale, but when Sakura kissed him the color returned to his cheeks and the crowd cheered for the couple.

Naruto rose from his seat, chuckling softly at Iruka's expense then climbed down the platform to join his family.

"I don't think you've ever met him up front, but Sakura-chan, Yamato-taicho, and Sai have met him," Naruto explained, "I think you've maybe seen him with Sasuke...but the teme met him while he was at the Fire Temple training to become a monk."

"Maybe we weren't ready sooner or maybe Sakura and Iruka wouldn't have found each other and Sasuke might never have come home. All our destinies are intertwined and we all touched one another's lives somehow. All that matters is that we're together now and we're happy."

Kakashi felt his husbands breathing even out and knew that the blond had fallen asleep. He fought his own sleepiness as he looked out the window and saw the starry night sky. The stars didn't make him sad anymore, not now when he held his entire world in his arms. He thought about all they had been through and that it now seemed like some strange fairytale. Because of Naruto's goodness, bravery, and light they had gotten a new chance at life, a life lived together. Kakashi treasured every moment he had with his family and he didn't take even one second for granted. Kakashi was happy more so than he ever believed that he deserved to be...Because of one little blond, life was wonderful.

Kakashi finally fell asleep with the comforting sound of Naruto's steady heartbeat echoing in his ears.
