"Go on." Sasuke mumbled; mortified that he had to play the part of a priest to get Naruto to confess something to him that he didn't want to hear in the first place. Why Naruto would think that Sasuke was going to blame him for anything he'd been coerced into doing was beyond the raven-haired boy's imagination.
"I...I raped someone," Naruto whispered through the grate in a small voice.
"No you didn't." Sasuke answered abruptly, feeling incredibly relieved that this must all be some sort of misunderstanding.
"I did." Naruto insisted quietly.
"No you didn't. You wouldn't have possibly done it of your own free will, so it couldn't have been rape." Sasuke reasoned; talking to Naruto as if he'd been speaking to a five year old about stealing cookies.
"You haven't even heard what happened yet." Naruto protested.
"Fine. Tell me what happened, and then I'll tell you you didn't rape anyone." Sasuke replied. He was losing patience with this conversation rapidly. It wasn't that he didn't feel terrible for Naruto, because he did, but since it was impossible that it was the blond's fault, his confession was going to be pointless.
"Those boys... the ones at the food court... they bought me a few weeks ago for someone's birthday. They took me to a huge party in the nice part of town and they took me to an upstairs bedroom and did what they wanted. They were pretty nice to me afterwards; they even gave me some pizza and a piece of cake. It was late and they offered to let me sleep on the couch, and since it was storming outside and I was going to end up sleeping on the sidewalk otherwise, I said ok." Naruto took a deep breath, let it out, and then continued. "At about 4 in the morning I woke up and there was a girl sitting on the edge of the couch staring at me. She told me she wanted to have sex with me. I was confused but I didn't want to make her mad since they had been nice earlier so I followed her down to the basement."
"Wait, if she asked to have sex with you, why do you think you raped her?" Sasuke interrupted.
"Let me get to the end of this and you'll understand." Naruto explained. His voice sounded tense and upset so the older boy remained silent.
"We went to the basement and she laid down on the couch. I laid down next to her and she started rubbing up against me and taking off both our clothes... but... it didn't feel right, and for some reason... 'it' wasn't working." Naruto stopped and Sasuke was left to wonder what "it" was for a moment before he got what the blond was trying to say.
"That was strange because I've never had that problem before... I mean... it always works. Even... even when I don't want it to work and I can't believe I'm getting turned on because someone is hurting me and I'm totally disgusted with myself... it still works... but this time it didn't and she got really pissed off. She started calling me a fag and a queer and a whore and pretty much anything else you can think of along those lines." Naruto sounded miserable and Sasuke was thoroughly confused. The blond boy sighed and continued "I've heard a lot worse so it didn't really hurt my feelings or anything...instead... somehow it got things working. So then, I was ready for it and she wasn't. Suddenly she was yelling at me to get off of her and pushing me away and I tried to move, but she was there... and... and then she started kissing me, and I was confused... and then--" Naruto broke off.
Sasuke remained silent because he didn't know what to say. This wasn't at all what he expected. Somehow he'd imagined that Naruto had been held down by the boys and they'd forced him on top of some unwilling girl. This was completely different. After a moment the younger boy continued.
"I don't remember anything after that until the next morning. I woke up and I was in the basement. The girl from the night before was putting on her clothes and crying. When she looked at me she had a black eye and her lip was split." Naruto's voice wavered a little but he continued. "Her wrists were black and blue and when I started to stand up she took a few steps backward and begged me not to do it again. I told her I didn't know what she was talking about and then she started crying and screaming. She made a huge commotion and all the guys from the night before came running downstairs. She told them what I'd done and one of them took her upstairs while the other guys tackled me and took turns holding me down and hitting me. I tried to explain to them that I didn't remember what had happened, but it didn't matter. They punished me for what felt like hours. I wasn’t really sure how long it was though ‘cause I passed out. I woke up next to a dumpster down town late that evening." Naruto sniffled a bit, but didn't cry.
Sasuke's mind was spinning. This did sound a lot like rape. He stood up and walked out of the confessional.
"Please... please don't leave..." he heard Naruto whisper as the dark-haired boy shut the door.
The priest and Kakashi both looked at Sasuke inquisitively as he stepped around the booth and entered the door to the right, the one that held Naruto. The blond boy's eyes opened wide in panic and he covered his face with his hands.
"Don't hit me! Don't hurt me! They already punished me. I hurt her but I--" He hadn't been crying before but he was crying now as Sasuke shut the door behind him and quickly locked it. Although there was barely enough room for two people on the bench in the confessional, Sasuke sat down next to Naruto and grabbed both of his wrists. He pulled them down, away from the blond's face, and the boy slipped off the bench on to his knees in front of Sasuke. He was practically in hysterics but he wasn't struggling.
"Look at me." Sasuke demanded. Naruto turned his body a bit so that he was directly in front of the older boy. Tears streamed down his tan cheeks as he looked up timidly.
"I still don't believe you raped her." Sasuke started quietly. "That story doesn't add up at all. Something isn't right." He finished, releasing his grasp on the boy's wrists.
"I saw her." Naruto protested softly. "I saw the look on her face. She'd been raped." He took in a sharp breath and continued, "That's why I ran away. You already told me I couldn't stay if you thought I'd be a danger to Hinata."
Sasuke shook his head and sighed. "It still doesn't make sense, but I'll add it to the list of forty things I need to do this week in regards to fixing your life." Naruto's eyes widened a little at that remark but he remained quiet. "If I thought you were dangerous to Hinata then you and I would go stay in a hotel until we get it all sorted out, but I don't think it's necessary. I still don't believe you did it, and even if you did, I have a feeling there's something in your missing memory that would explain it."
Naruto looked at Sasuke for a long time, studying his face. "Why do you want to help me?" he asked as he scooted closer to Sasuke and stared into his dark eyes as if the answer was hidden there. Sasuke pondered the question for a moment.
"I want you to be my friend." Sasuke stated plainly.
Naruto looked stunned and jumped to his feet. He stomped hard on Sasuke's foot, scrambled to unlatch the door, then threw himself out into the santuary, but not before fixing him with a hateful glare.
"Don't lie in a church!" Naruto shouted as he took a few steps back.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Sasuke yelled, standing up and taking a step out of the confessional lowering his voice under the uneasy gazes of the priest and Kakashi. "You are certi-fucking-fiably insane! Do you know that?" he hissed.
"Are you making fun of me?" Naruto yelled back, not caring that he was in a church and should keep his voice down. He took a few steps back toward the Uchiha boy and glared at him angrily. "Do you think it's fun to play with my feelings?"
"I told you I wanted to be your friend, idiot!" Sasuke shouted, allowing his tone to match Naruto's. He noticed both of the older men were slowly walking up the aisle now, casting curious glances at each other.
"You didn't mean it. Why would you say it!?!" Naruto jumped on Sasuke and hit him several times before the older boy managed to get a hold of the blond's arm and pin him to the wall.
"I said it because I meant it." Sasuke whispered into the smaller boy's ear before letting him go. Naruto crumpled to the floor and put his head in his hands. Sasuke waited for the priest or his teacher to do something, but instead, they stopped a few feet away and looked expectantly at the Uchiha boy. Sasuke, unsure of exactly what to do, lowered himself to the floor next to Naruto and put his hand on his arm.
"I said..." Sasuke started angrily. "If you..." He continued, trying to make his voice gentler this time. "Do you want to come to Anger Management classes with me?" he finally managed to get out. Naruto lifted his head and looked at him through his tears.
"Why? Do you think I need them?" he asked, before cracking a small smile. After a moment a slight squeak erupted from the shaking boy, and then he fell sideways clutching his sides. Sasuke took a moment to register that Naruto was laughing before the humor of what had just happened hit him and he found himself laughing as well.
"Considering that I have a slight concussion from last night and a broken foot to go along with it today... I would say yes, you may have an anger problem." Sasuke smirked at the younger boy before standing up and offering Naruto his hand. He hoisted the boy to his feet effortlessly and the blond leaned into him slightly.
"Did you mean it, honestly? You want to be my friend?" Naruto asked so quietly that only Sasuke could hear him. He looked imploringly at the older boy.
"I don't say anything I don't mean." Sasuke replied seriously.
"Naruto?" The priest interrupted. "Will you introduce me officially?"
"I thought you'd met." Naruto said, looking slightly confused. "Sasuke, this is Father Iruka. Father Iruka, this is my... friend, Sasuke."
"We've met." Sasuke explained narrowing his eyes slightly at the priest. "He said he'd never seen you before. He lied. In a church."
Iruka smiled at the Uchiha boy's accusations and shook his head slightly. "I didn't lie. I said I hadn't seen a boy by that description today."
"But you had seen him! You sent me into the confessional to find him."
"I said I hadn't seen him, I didn't say he wasn't here. He walked into the confessional as someone else walked out, so I hadn't laid eyes on him until he came rushing out a second ago. I'd only heard his voice up until then."
"That seems sketchy." Naruto said, smiling at the priest.
"Well, if these men had been foes instead of friends, you might not think so. In Nazi Germany it was a common practice for monks and nuns to hide Jewish children and avoid speaking the truth when asked direct questions by the SS. I was trying to do the same thing until Sasuke proved that he wasn't here to harm you." Iruka explained.
"And how did I do that?" Sasuke asked.
"On the phone call with your friend you mentioned what sounded like a sign from God in leading you here. I don't imagine the Heavenly Father would direct an enemy so accurately."
"Good poi--" Sasuke started to say, but Naruto interrupted him.
"A sign from God? Are you serious??? What happened?" he asked, looking from Sasuke to Father Iruka.
"Can I tell you later Naruto? I need to call Hinata and tell her you're safe. She was very worried."
"She was?"
"Of course." The Uchiha boy said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "I'm going to step outside and call her; be ready to go when I come back inside." With that Sasuke stepped out the door and Naruto was left with the two older men.
"Who are you?" he asked Kakashi, who up until now had stayed in the background.
"Hatake Kakashi. I'm a security guard at the mall and also Sasuke's Anger Management coach."
"Are you the one who taught him to count backwards from 10 to 1?" Naruto questioned, smiling.
"Guilty as charged. Why? Have you seen him do it?" Kakashi asked, intrigued.
"A couple of times now. I hit him last night on the head," Naruto explained, scrunching up his face in apology. "I thought he was going to hit me back, but instead I heard him counting backwards and he left the room. Then today something made him mad in the elevator and I thought he was going to explode, but then he started counting again and it seemed to help."
"Wow... I didn't realize." Kakashi mumbled to himself. Sasuke was actually making progress. During class Sasuke had yet to admit to one successful attempt at calming himself down and now Kakashi had just heard report of two successful attempts in 24 hours. Either Sasuke had been lying or his temper managing abilities were improved by having Naruto around. He didn't have much more time to think about it though because the Uchiha boy walked back into the church with a thunder-cloud expression on his face.
"What is it Sasuke?" Kakashi asked. The dark-haired boy ignored the question and instead looked at Naruto and tilted his head at the door. Naruto walked over to stand next to him and Kakashi decided to drop it. Sasuke could be intensely private. "Don't forget that Anger Management has been moved from Wednesday to tomorrow night so that we can have an all group meeting. It starts at seven... and bring Naruto. I'd like to talk to both of you when you get some free time." Kakashi concluded. Naruto had no idea why the silver-haired man would want to speak with him, but Sasuke knew it was to talk about the incident at the mall. That could wait until tomorrow though.
When both boys stepped out into the cool autumn air, Naruto grabbed Sasuke by his arm and pulled him to a stop.
"What did Hinata say that made you upset? Did you tell her why I ran away?" Naruto asked, hoping desperately that Sasuke hadn't told her although he had every right to.
"No, I think we'll keep that between us. I called the car service before calling Hinata." Sasuke said, walking toward a limo that had pulled up in front of the church. "I'm upset because Neji and Gaara are coming to dinner tonight and Hinata wants us all to eat together."
"Was Gaara the one in the fishnet shirt?" Naruto asked; a smile playing at the corner's of his mouth.
"Don't tell me you thought he was hot," Sasuke grumbled, opening the door to the limo. Naruto looked at him in confusion before sliding into the back seat. Sasuke followed and as the taxi started up, Naruto answered the question he thought Sasuke might have been trying to ask.
"No, I didn't think he was hot. Actually I thought he looked like a prostitute. Who else would wear a fishnet shirt on a Monday morning?" Naruto explained quickly. Sasuke felt immensely better.
"So," Sasuke started, trying to figure out a way to ask Naruto something that he'd been curious about since the previous night. "Do you like guys or girls?" Naruto looked out the window for a moment before turning around to answer.
"I've never really given it much thought," he answered honestly.
"Well, does it feel better when you're with a guy or a girl?" Sasuke pressed. He had to admit he was still interested in getting closer to Naruto, but he wasn't going to push the issue if the blond boy wasn't into boys in the first place.
"It never feels good," Naruto said softly, studying his hands instead of making eye contact with the other boy.
"Never? You've never done anything with anyone that has made you feel good?" Sasuke asked, unable to believe it could be true.
"Well... today in the elevator... it felt good for a minute... at least... it wasn't bad for a minute... you made a little moan and I liked it."
Sasuke blushed realizing that the driver could hear everything they were saying so he rolled up the privacy window.
"I'm sorry, Naruto. If I knew that it was that bad for you, I would have tried harder to stop it from happening."
"Don't be sorry. You bought me. I owe you."
"I don't want you to do stuff because you owe me. I want you to kiss me bec--"
"You want me to kiss you?" Naruto interrupted, sounding both confused and delighted. Sasuke suddenly found the scenery flying by to be much more interesting.
"Yes, I want you to kiss me, but I won't make you, and I don't want you doing it because you feel like you have to. I especially don't want you doing it if doesn't make you feel good." He finished, finally turning around to look at the boy again.
Naruto thought about that for a second before continuing. "I guess I didn't explain myself very well. Most of the time the people who buy me are sick people and they get off on hurting me. I think it's because I'm small or something. I don't really know. Occasionally someone will buy me, and they aren't totally sadistic. Every now and then my body will respond like it feels good, but the way it makes me feel inside, like in my stomach, is always really bad. It's sort of like a hurt in my chest that feels like loneliness, but not exactly...never mind... it's stupid."
"It's not stupid," Sasuke answered, tilting Naruto's chin up so that he could make eye contact. An awkward moment passed before the blond inched closer.
"Would you kiss me?" Naruto asked shyly. "Just to see if I like it?"
Sasuke nodded and the older boy slipped across the seat until he was sitting right next to Naruto. The blond seemed nervous and a bit shaky so Sasuke made sure he moved slowly so as not to make the boy uneasy.
"Close your eyes," He instructed gently. Naruto complied and Sasuke leaned in toward him, placing several small kisses along his jaw line and neck. He breathed warm air into Naruto's ear before gently nipping his earlobe. He was stalling, and he knew it, but he also knew that if he took this slow, he could make it enjoyable. Heaven knows he had enough experience kissing that he should be able to get this right.
Finally working up a bit more nerve he gently placed his lips on Naruto's. The younger boy tensed and Sasuke placed several quick kisses in a row, sucking slightly each time so it would draw the blond's lips apart slowly. Teasingly he slipped his tongue into Naruto's mouth and explored slowly. His patience was reworded as Naruto shifted beside him and a soft moan escaped his lips.
Gradually Sasuke drew back and sucked gently, urging Naruto to do some exploring of his own. The younger boy hesitantly pushed his own tongue into Sasuke's mouth and the dark-haired boy found himself intoxicated by the sweet taste of Naruto.
Sasuke pulled back a little, breaking the kiss for a moment, just to make certain Naruto looked like he was enjoying it. He had nothing to worry about though because the blond's face showed he was clearly enjoying it and he gasped slightly when Sasuke pulled away, pushing himself forward to reclaim the Uchiha boy's mouth. They continued to kiss and as the minutes passed by the kissing became more intense. Neither Naruto nor Sasuke could seem to get enough and by the time the car stopped they were both sweaty and panting.
As they exited the limo and Sasuke paid the driver, he could tell the man was trying to hide a smile. The raven-haired boy caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror and realized why. His lips were swollen from the kissing, his hair was tousled every which way and his complexion could only be described as rosy. In other words; he looked freshly fucked.
As he started for the building he felt something brush the back of his hand and he realized it was Naruto, shyly standing behind him. Sasuke had never been one for public displays of affection, but if it would make the younger boy feel less self-conscious after what they'd just done, he would hold his hand up to the penthouse.
The Uchiha boy was pleased to see that the "wet paint" signs had been removed so they took the stairs. Just before they would have emerged to their floor Naruto stopped suddenly and plowed Sasuke into the wall, claiming his lips again in a fiery kiss.
"What was that for?" Sasuke teased breathlessly as the broke apart.
"I like it," Naruto explained. "I like it alot," He said, biting his bottom lip and looking suddenly shy.
"It's good that you like it. I like it too. Now c'mon. I'm starving. Do you realize the only thing I've eaten since I met you is a marshmallow moon?" Sasuke asked.
"I'm sorry! I hope Hinata made alot!" Naruto exclaimed as they stepped out of the stairwell. The smell of fresh baked bread hit them both immediately and they practically fell through the door of the penthouse.
Neji, Gaara and Hinata all stopped talking and looked at them questioningly. The first thing both boys noticed was that Neji and Hinata were dressed normally, but Gaara had traded in his fishnet shirt for a tight black Hello Kitty t-shirt and baggy black jeans that had safety pins holding them together in several places. Both Sasuke and Naruto stared at him for a moment before Hinata broke the silence.
"Naruto, you had me so worried! Don't you ever run off again, do you hear me?" she asked, jumping up from the table and giving him a playful swat on the arm before hugging him tightly. He squirmed a little, but then settled into the hug. She moved on to Sasuke next and kissed him gently on the cheek, giving him a friendly look that said "We'll talk about why you look so happy later."
"Neji, Could I speak to you in my room alone for a minute?" Sasuke asked, turning toward Hinata's cousin.
"Whatever you need to say to me can be said out here." Neji stated plainly.
"You're right. I wanted to apologize for my behavior earlier. The elevator had me on edge and I wasn't thinking. You have every right to date whomever you please and I hope that you can excuse my rudeness."
Neji looked positively taken aback. "Who are you and what have you done with Sasuke?" he asked, his white eyes smiling.
"Jokes now? I'm hurt," Sasuke mused before taking a seat at the head of the table. He motioned for Naruto to sit next to him and they both sat transfixed as Hinata brought out plate after plate of delicious food. Apparently she'd gotten it in her mind to have an early Thanksgiving because they were having wine, rolls, turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, peas, gravy, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Naruto's eyes glazed over and he looked as if he might fall out of his chair.
As the food was being passed around Sasuke would notice that Naruto was hesitantly putting small portions of food on his plate. Each time Sasuke would take the spoon from him and heap on a bigger helping. By the time all the dishes were passed, Naruto's plate was brimming over with food and he was eyeing it guardedly.
"No one's going to take it from you and you don't have to eat it all if you get full," Sasuke whispered. "We'll never run out of food in this apartment, and you'll always get to eat when you're hungry. I promise."
"I've never even tried most of this stuff before," Naruto whispered, more at ease. "Where should I start?"
Sasuke laughed, but he was unable to answer because Neji clinked his fork on his glass and lifted it into the air.
"A toast to fate,
and friends drawn near,
and a toast to the paths,
that drew us here."
Everyone around the table clinked their glasses together and took a sip. Naruto started to put his glass down but Sasuke tapped his elbow.
"Unfortunately it's tradition that everyone at the table toasts. It's bad luck if you don't." Sasuke whispered. Naruto paled a little but the older boy pretended not to notice. It would be good practice for Naruto to speak up. This was nothing compared to what class was going to be like the next night. Gaara lifted his glass and begin to speak in a fake Irish accent.
"Here's to Them
That wish us well,
All the rest
Can Go to Hell."
Hinata blushed a little at the swear word at the table but didn't say anything because everyone else was laughing. She had known if she could just get everyone into the room together they could get along. She hadn't expected Sasuke to apologize to Neji and Gaara but she would have to thank him for it later. Things were moving along smoothly. Realizing it was her turn now, she lifted her glass a little higher into the air.
"May your blessings outnumber
the flowers that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
wherever you go."
Glasses clinked around the room as Gaara pretended to wipe a tear from Neji's eye. Sasuke cleared his throat and lifted his glass.
"Cheers." He said before clinking his glass against Naruto's cheekily and then grabbing the wine bottle nearest him and downing almost half the contents.
Neji and Hinata both rolled their eyes but clanked their glasses anyway. In all the time they'd known him, they'd never heard Sasuke give an actual toast. All eyes turned to Naruto and Hinata was about to tell him he was excused from speaking when he lifted his glass a little higher and looked at Sasuke.
"To the father, the son
and the Holy Ghost,
to he who drinks the fastest drinks,
and to he who drinks the most."
Naruto grabbed the bottle Sasuke had just set on the table and downed what was left. Everyone at the table began laughing and talking and the Uchiha boy was amazed at how easily they all fell into comfortable chatter. The food was eaten quickly and by the time Hinata was removing the dishes he was too stuffed to move.
"Would you like some help, Hinata?" Naruto asked.
"That would be wonderful. At least someone around here knows how to help with the dishes!" She scolded playfully at the three remaining boys.
"Suck up!" Gaara whispered loudly as Naruto passed him and everyone was laughing again. It was like they'd been friends for ages. Once Naruto was out of earshot Sasuke asked Gaara if he would join him out on the roof. Gaara glanced at Neji, but the Hyuuga boy had stood up to help finish with clearing the table so the red head followed Sasuke out the door. Once they were outside both boys settled in around a picnic table.
"You like him alot, don't you?" Gaara asked, looking at Sasuke seriously.
"Naruto or Neji?" Sasuke asked back quietly.
"Naruto. Neji told me about what happened between you and him. How it never works out. I was referring to the blond with my previous question. When you stumbled in the door I've never seen you look so happy." Gaara explained.
"I do like him. It's strange. From the moment I saw him I knew that I needed to know him better... and to protect him. That's why I asked you to come out here."
"Oh?" Gaara asked, a little surprised by the openness of the Uchiha boy.
"How hard would it be for you to get a hold of the Computer Recognition Software your father's company is developing?"
"Not hard, but it'll cost you."
"Name your price, I'll pay it," Sasuke agreed quickly. Gaara gave him a strange look. He hadn't been expecting that.
"Well, now I'm curious. I thought you'd protest a bit more. Why do you need it?"
Sasuke contemplated that for a second. If Gaara was going to help him with the software he was going to end up seeing the video anyway.
"I saw a video today of Naruto being raped and beaten. It happened just over two weeks ago and I want to find the men who did it and make them pay."
"I hate to ask this, but he is a prostitute, right? Could they have been taking what they paid for, and you misunderstood what you watched? Did Naruto mention them to you?"
"No, he doesn't even know I know. Once you see the video you'll understand what I'm talking about. They tie him down, Gaara. Not in a sexy way, either. In a horrible way. They beat him until he was unconscious. They took turns raping him and hitting him even after he'd passed out, and then they got a beer bottle out of the car and took turns--"
"OK, OK, I'm convinced." Gaara shuddered, throwing his hands up in defeat. "I have a feeling I'm going to be watching this anyway if I help you; I don't need to hear anymore. Naruto seems like a nice guy, consider this a favor. When can you get me the tape?"
"Tomorrow."
"We'll work on it tomorrow night then. We'll get these bastards sorted out, don't worry. Are you going to tell Naruto?" Gaara asked, tilting his head and pushing his hair back, causing the tattoo on his forehead to glimmer in the moonlight.
"No, I don't think he'd want me to go after them. I think at this point though, he doesn't know what's good for him." Sasuke replied.
"Careful with that, Uchiha. He's not a stray cat."
Sasuke glared at Gaara. "You say Neji told you what passed between us. Did he tell you about my childhood? About the fire? About the foster homes? About the abuse?" Sasuke stepped to the edge of the roof and looked out across the night sky. "Did he tell you how Hinata's family took me in? How she loved me even as I struck out at anyone who tried to get close? How Neji stood by me as day after day I did everything in my power to ruin my life? If it hadn't been for people taking me in and making choices for me, I'd be dead, or in a worse spot than Naruto. I'm going to fix this, and I'd like your help. If you're going to do nothing but question my motives; you can fuck off." With that he turned his back and walked into the penthouse. Gaara followed him inside.
"We were wondering how long you two would stay out there." Neji announced as they rejoined the group. "I hope you aren't trying to steal Gaara, but if you are, I'm taking Naruto." Neji mused, grabbing the blond boy around the waist and pulling him close. A look of fright passed over Naruto's face before he realized this was just a joke, and he played along, laying his head on Neji's shoulder.
"I don't go for the goth look and I'd kill you before Naruto took a step out the door, Hyuuga." Sasuke warned as he shoved Gaara playfully toward Neji and Naruto fled back to the Uchiha boy's side.
"Don't deny your love for me, Suke-chan," Gaara mewed and Hinata made a gagging sound in the background before grabbing Sasuke by the arm and restraining him from punching the red-haired boy.
"Don't you boys need to be getting back to your love nest?" Sasuke fumed, throwing a half-hearted glare at Hinata before turning it on full force at the boys across from him.
"You're right. It's late and we haven't had sex in like 4 hours." Gaara threw back, smiling brightly at Neji and then Hinata. "Thanks for the dinner, next time I'll bring a gift for the hostess."
Hinata giggled shyly and both Sasuke and Naruto rolled their eyes. Neji and Gaara said their goodbyes and walked out the door hand in hand. Hinata had an early morning again the next day, so she kissed both remaining boys good night and headed to bed. Sasuke headed to his bedroom and Naruto followed him closely, closing the door behind him.
"If you'd rather stay in the guest room, that's fine with me." Sasuke said, turning toward Naruto.
"I want to stay with you." Naruto whined, throwing himself dramatically on the bed.
"Well, if that's what you want." Sasuke answered, pulling off his shirt and jeans, and replacing them with a pair of gym shorts over his boxers.
"I want you," Naruto purred and Sasuke took a step back involuntarily. That was one of the crazy voices.
"No offence Naruto, but it scares me when you talk like that. I tend to get beat up immediately after you do."
Naruto smiled up at him from the bed, stripping down to his boxers and burrowing under the sheets. Sasuke sat on the edge of the bed and looked at him pensively.
"Can I ask you a few questions? I don't want tomorrow morning to become a repeat of what happened this morning."
Naruto rolled over on his side so he was facing the wall and pulled the covers up over his head. He said nothing and several minutes passed before Sasuke moved across the bed and tugged on the sheets. They didn't budge because Naruto was clutching them so tightly.
"Naruto, drop the sheets." Sasuke demanded. The boy slowly lowered the sheets but still didn't say anything. "I don't want to pry this out of you, but I'm not going to drop it. Tell me about the man who hurts you."
"He looks like you." Naruto mumbled, pulling the sheets up above his head again.
"Drop the damn sheets." Sasuke insisted. "I got that he looked like me when you were screaming it this morning. Can you tell me anything else? Where he lives? What he does to you? Why he make you call him Aniki?"
"I don't want to talk about it. I'm saying no. You said I could say no to you!" Naruto replied angrily from beneath the covers. Sasuke sighed deeply, rolled to the opposite side of bed and flipped off the lamp. Silence descended on the room and after twenty minutes he thought the blond had fallen asleep when his quiet voice floated across the expanse of the bed.
"Are you mad at me?"
Sasuke took in a deep breath. "No. I'm not mad at you. I'm irritated with you, but you're right. I'm not going to force you to tell me so I'm going to have to live with it."
