Chapter 7:

�M-My Too-san!?� Naruto shouted but not loud enough for everyone inside to hear. The wolf demon nodded. He walked over to the lake and sat down his toe�s dipping into the water.

�Sit down.� He instructed, and Rokudaime did so. Daishizen flicked his appendage in the water, taking a short while to think on where to start. �I guess I better start.. With myself. You already know my name so I won�t go there. But I will start here.� He took a deep breath. �I was �. A very destructive demon in my youth, I hated humans I never understood them. So I hurt them and they hunted me. I�m very well known to demons and humans alike; for many reasons.�
�Possibly because you once hurt humans..� Naruto joked. The amused tone didn�t go unnoticed by the demon; so he bore a smirk.

�Well that is one reason yes, but thankfully I knew an Ashura if I smelled one because I would have been very much hated if I harmed one of them by humans and demons.�

�But why did you stop?� The blonde asked. The green eyes flickered over him and then back to the sky.

�I�ll tell just be patient. One night just after I attacked a village, and slipping pass a fox den which turned out to be Aka�s. I didn�t know her very well.. We were.. Acquainted. � He cleared his throat. �Unlike the many times before.. This time the humans hunted me trying to kill me. They seriously injured me� I could not heal I had used to much chakara. I got away as quickly as I could. And when I knew they followed me no more I passed out.�
Naruto was now wide eyed, he couldn�t believe that a bunch of still live villagers decided to go after a powerful demon. �So what happened next?� The wine haired demon smiled gently.

�When I woke up.. There was a young human woman looking after me. She was sleeping when I opened my eyes. I was shocked to say the least.. I mean a young lady looking after a vicious demon such as myself. I watched over her and hid once I heard pounding on her door.�

He looked blankly at the sky as he continued. �She opened the door and the people asked her about me. She said she was harboring no demon. I was again surprised when she said I wasn�t there when I clearly was. I stepped out when they left and asked why she had lied.� He bore a very kind smile. �She told me that�. She believed that I wasn�t really mean spirited that I just didn�t understand. And she would never turn away a hurt person human or demon. I could feel myself melt under her gaze.�

�Were you in love with her?� The wolf closed his eyes.

�After spending much time with her yes� and she with I. She taught me compassion for every living thing. She made me who I am.. Till the day I �died�. The last time I saw her� was a great many years ago� I think I was pushing nearly 390. She is more than likely dead now� since when I died I think well I know I�m over 400 years old I lost track of my age after that day I had to leave her.�

�did you ..uh you know?�

�make love to her? Yes I did the night before I had to leave.. I might have had a child but it would have done them no good to know me. So after I left her I took resident�s in your �forest of death.� or whatever you call it. Where if I came across anyone I would help them with the plants I found in the forest to heal them.�
The blonde agape, as the demon laid back his toe�s still flicking about the cool water. Daishizen chuckled. �You know if you keep your mouth open like that you are bound to catch a fly or two.� Naruto gave his head a shake and closed his mouth.

�So what�s next?�

�That is how I met your Otoo-sama, he wasn�t injured yet but he was about to get attacked. Some asshole ninja I don�t know. All I know was I scared him off by turning into the purest form; I think I nearly scared Yondaime-sama as well.� Naruto chuckled. �That�s how we became friends, he would come to visit me every so often.. And when in a pinch I would go into the village if he needed me. I was there when your Okaa-sama was pregnant I would see after her sometimes.�

�Y-You tended to my Kaa-san?� The demon nodded.

�But only when I was truly needed. He was so excited that he was going to be a papa�.� A forlorn expression took residences on the very much older males face. �But he died before seeing his child� He died in my arms. It hurts seeing the best friend you ever had dyeing in front of your eyes and in your caring embrace.� Naruto slightly worried looked over at the demon, who now had tears leaving his eyes.

�D-did he say anything?�

�Yes� He asked me to look after you. And I have been till the day I �died� so to speak. I promised you; since your life was going to be hell�I promised to do something for you to make you happy..� He smiled slightly. �And I did too.�

He thought of that day. It was very clear in his mind�.

Daishizen had been watching, Naruto the whole day. He had known for so long that this young man had loved the Uchiha. Since the day that Yondaime had died, he had felt that Naruto was like a son he had never known. He had kept his promise to his best friend, but soon his days would be over. �I will not die till I have fulfilled my last promise.� The demon thought. Noticing the soon to be lovers had fallen asleep, he crept over and silently entered. His eyes watered as he watched Naruto. Gently running his hand threw the blonde�s hair, he smiled. �Naruto-sama. I made a promise, that I intend to keep�� He bit his lip �I fear I may never see your face again, so I�m doing this for my own peace of mind, and your eternal happiness. May that snake bastard never bother your Sasuke ever again.� Quietly he moved next to the raven haired man. Taking his claw he slashed his hand. The demon let it bleed for a few moments, then placed it over the cursed mark. Closing those green eyes, he let his chakara flow from his body. His blood and Chakara mixed over the seal. Daishizen gently fell to one knee, keeping his hand there till the new seal was complete. He panted heavily, when he had finished. His demon blood completely covered it, there was no trace of black left. �He will change slightly over night, getting the pros of whatever form that cursed seal gave him. I pray for you happiness.. Naruto-sama.� Daishizen left just as quietly as he came, tears filling his eyes.

His blue eyes went extremely wide as if his eye balls were going to pop out of his head. It suddenly hit him at what the wolf demon was hinting at. �S-so it was you wh-�

�Yes.. I am the only demon who can use it now. It�s too dangerous of a technique and too dangerous for others to learn� Yondaime was the only one I taught this to and I�m will not ever teach it to anyone else. And when Kenrute started having those �nightmares� as I�ll call them I wanted�. To help since that is Yondaime-sama�s grandson. And your child it meant a lot to me that I could make your life a tad easier and happier.� He looked up to the sky; while Naruto inched closer.

�T-thank you. Maybe we can talk more later..� The green eyed demon smiled brightly.

�I would love to Naruto-sama� and if you have problems you can come to me.�

�Your almost like a too-san�� The demon stood up and ruffled the blonde hair.

�Maybe because I am. Since that time I�ve almost felt like a too-san towards you. But I�m not going to replace anyone just sort of fill in. if that�s alright with you.� Naruto eagerly nodded his head and did so wildly. �Now with our heart to heart talk over I suggest we go back inside.� The blonde got up and went to the door and opened it to his new friend; who smiled gently and entered and Naruto quietly followed.

�HEY! where did you run off to?!� Tsume shouted which was unlike him. Naruto-ji-san only chuckled.

�I merely went out to talk to Daishizen-san.� Daishizen smiled, then walked over to Sasuke-ji-san.

�You take care of him. I�ll be watching Sasuke-san.� Thus he patted the mark he made on my ji-san.

�I intend to.�

�Good, Because if you don�t I just might have to hurt you.� Daishizen said with a demonic grin. He then disappeared back into my body. I softly smiled feeling his warmth threw out my body. Kaa-san smiled at me and Naruto-ji-san.

�Did you know Kankimi-san?� Kaa-san tilted her head.

�Know what?� I knew what Naruto-ji-san was talking about. I never did till Kaa-san, there was no need for her to know that my demon knew Akuma keppan. Oji-san just smiled.

�Never mind.� He then turned to me. �So when did you first join with Daishizen?� That question more or less stunned me. I had to think a tad on that one. I know I was quite young at the time. Hmmmm, tilting my head I thought about it.

�I suppose around 4 or 5.� Naruto-ji-san blinked.

�That young? Most don�t join till they are at least 7 or 8�

�I know. But� certain circumstances required we joined then and there.� Now it was Sasuke-ji-san�s turn to scrutinize me.

�Like what?� I politely smiled.

�I�m afraid I can not answer that, Sasuke-ji-san.� I gently play with Daishizen�s pendant. -Watch out, Kakashi is about to make an appearance.-

-Arigato for the warning-

It was then Kakashi-san and Iruka-san busted threw the door. �Naru�.� Kakashi started, till he noticed everyone. �to?� Too-san laughed a bit louder than he ever had before. Iruka-san gazed at everyone.

�Naruto who?�

�Don�t you remember Iruka-sensei?� Kakashi-san and Iruka-san smiled.

�Oh, of course now I remember.� I took a seat while they started talking, closing my eyes and relaxed. I could hear Mazeo talking to Takeshi, then in turn to Kaa-san. They were talking about singing. Which in turn had Naruto-ji-san saying that Kaa-san had a lovely voice. Then Sasuke-ji-san asking her to sing something. Kaa-san could not ever refuse Sasuke-ji-san, I know she can�t. She�s more than likely wondering what song to sing right about now. I hear three flops next to me. Peeking I see Mazeo next to me, starting to wrap his arm around my waist. Then to my other side Takeshi, and next to him was Awaikage� with Ume on his lap.

Closing my eyes again, that first line my Kaa-san san reminded me of when I first saw Daishizen, when we had joined.

I was walking a around the forest surrounding our village. I was looking for the place where I belonged. My home, I had been looking for it since I could remember. Sure I loved my Kaa-san but I didn�t feel right there. Stumbling threw a bush I fell and scrapped my knee. Biting my lip I didn�t utter a sound, sure it hurt but I felt like I couldn�t voice that. It was then I saw a very tall figured (for my age that is.)

kumorasete yuku no yami no kanata (are being clouded up, beyond darkness,)

mishiranu chikara ni nagasarete kokoro ga dokoka e hagureteku (Being carried away by unknown power, (my) mind is straying away somewhere,)

harisakesou na mune no oku de kodou dake ga tashika ni ikite iru (Only heartbeat is certainly living in the depths of nearly-breaking heart,)

He had wine colored hair, and sorrow-filled green eyes. Bending down he looked at my knee. �I�m surprised, boys your age usually are crying.� I didn�t answer. This man looked at me for a quite some time. Then quietly took out a few things and started treating my wound. I only watched in amazement as he worked. I felt there was something very different about him, but I could put my finger on it. Thinking about his eyes I asked.

�Why are you�re eyes so sad?�

hikaru kaze no naka kikoete kuru anata no koe (Inside the shining wind, I hear your voice,)

"Pray don't break a peace forever" sono kagayaki wo shinjite iru (Pray don't break up peace forever, I believe the brightness.)

I guess I surprised him with that, for he looked up at me with shock. The man�s eyes softened still filled with sorrow. �I�m dying as we speak. There is someone I care about deeply.. And I will not ever be able to see him again once I pass.� I barely understood what he meant, but I caught enough.

�Your sad, because you may never know this person?� He nodded. I could understand that. I had Oji-san�s that I have never met. I wish I could know them, that saddened me. �Who?� Hiccupping softly he said. �Uzumaki Naruto..� I was shocked, that�s�

�That�s on of my Oji-san�s name.� Again he looked at me.

�What is your name?�

�Uchiha Kenrute. Son of Uchiha Itachi and Ashura Kankimi.�

aoku kemuru suiheisen wo (Because my eyes still remember)

kono me wa mada oboete iru kara (the horizon smoking with blue,)

�Ashura?� I nodded. �I knew that scent was familiar. I had forgotten..�

�Your name.. sir?�

�Daishizen. I am a demon.� My blue eyes widen, some how I could tell he was a demon. As I focused back on him, he seemed to be thinking about something. �Did your mother tell you about your blood limit?�

�Yes.� A sad smile graced his kind face, and tears fell from his eyes.

�Then please grant my last request.� I understood..

�Why?�

�I want to seem Naruto-sama, again. I want to see his happiness with my own eyes. I was afraid that I might never be able to see that. So please�� He really cared about Naruto-ji-san.. And he does seem sincere about this.

kurikaesu ayamachi ga itsumo orokana ikimono ni kaeteku (Repeated mistakes always change (me) into empty-headed creature,)

kizutsuku dake no ikikata demo namida wa sou yo kesshite misenai wa (Even if it is way of life only getting hurt, I never give way to tears, really,)

Smiling brightly, I say. �Yes I will grant your last wish.� I was happy that those sad eyes had brighten.

�Arigato Gozaimasu�

�Dooitashimashite� He reached for something around his neck, and put it around mine.

�This is yours now, take good care of it.�

�I will, I promise.� He smiled gently, then gently grasped my small hand.

�I�ll see you again, when your older. Young Kenrute.� Looking I could see his chakara flowing from his body to mine. The whole time we wore a serene smile, as his life flowed into me. In a flash his body was gone, amazed I looked down at the hand he had held the whole time to see a small leaf gracing my palm.

hageshii itami wa dare no tame? (For whom the acute pain?)

After that I ran back home, and told no one that I was now fused with a demon. Until I was a bit older. But the whole time after that day, I could feel is gentle warmth inside of me, comforting me when there was no one else who could.

sore ga yatto wakaru ki ga suru wa (I have a feeling that I've got it at last,)

meguriaisou kiseki na no (Encounter is, well, miracle,)

ikuoku no hoshi ga samayou sora (The sky in which hundreds of millions of stars wander,)

Mazeo gently prodded his Koi with his elbow. �Ne Kenrute? Are you even listening to your Kaa-san singing?� Without missing a beat, Kenrute answered.

�Of course.� His eyes were still closed. Kenrute then smirked as he felt Daishizen leaving and reappearing behind Kakashi. The light haired Hyuuga tilted his head.

�What�s so funny?�

�You�ll see.�

sayonara ga oshiete kureta no anata no hontou no yasashisa (Farewell told me your true kindness,)

dare yori mo daiji na hito da to mune wo hatte ieru wa itsu no hi mo (I can say with confidence at any day, (You are) The person more important than any others,)

�You still have a beautiful voice my dear.� Kankimi flushed softly.

�You flatter me Itachi-chan.� Itachi smiled warmly at his wife. Daishizen softly patted up to Kakashi. Softly imitating Yondaime�s voice he said.

�Kakashi-kun.� The Jounin nearly jumped out of his skin, while the whole room erupted in guffaws. �Gotcha Kakashi-kun.� Kakashi turned and pointed at the demon.

�T-that.. Voice.� Daishizen merely smiled.

�It�s been quite sometime since someone as looked at that arm of yours, ne Kakashi-kun?�

The light haired man�s one eyes went wide.

�I remember, now. Yondaime-sama sometimes took us to you or you came to use. You use to mimic him to make us laugh to forget about the pain. What happened to you after he died? How come..?�

�You never knew I was a demon? Yondaime-sama didn�t want you to fear me. He didn�t and he knew I was a demon. And after he passed I kept a promise to him.�

�What was that?� Iruka asked. The wolf demon smiled.

�To look after his son. And I made my own promise to him.� He looked over at Kenrute, and his vessel smiled right back at him. Sasuke glared at him slightly.

�What promise was that?� Gaining that serene smile he once gave to Kenrute he answered.

�To do something to give him happiness, something that he rightfully deserved.�

The Uchiha didn�t really understood what he meant. Only Naruto and Kenrute understood.
�Sasuke-ji-san?�

�Yes, Kenrute?� Turning to his uncle, he propped his chin into his hand.

�Did Naruto-ji-san ever tell you about the blood that�s covering your seal?� Sasuke narrowing his eyes, at his nephew.

�Yes he did. He told me all about it.�

�You have Daishizen to thank for that. He only wished for Naruto-ji-san�s happiness, above his own.. Even though at the time he thought he�d wouldn�t be able to see it.� Everyone in the room but Kenrute and Naruto gawked at the wolf demon. To which he teased.

�Please don�t look at me like that, makes me feel like I have no clothes on.� Kenrute laughed hard, followed by Naruto. Daishizen chuckled, as did everyone else. Winning over his laughter Kenrute, settled back into the couch, his head resting on the back. Mazeo cuddled into him, he young Uchiha looked over at him. �I guess I must thank Daishizen as well, if not for him none of this could have turned out so well.� At his next train of thought he smiled. �I would like a child�maybe we could adopt one.. Or maybe three. But not right now maybe sometime in the future. Because I happy right now. I have everything a man could ask for.� Leaning over he kissed Mazeo�s forehead. Kenrute had found his place, a place where he belonged. Surrounded by family, friends, and his beloved. He was home� at last.

I am so sorry that it took so long to do this last chapter. I was in a ditch. But today I was inspired so I quickly got to my comp and whipped this up. I�m sorry that this is going to be the last chapter of this story. I don�t think I�ll do another. But if you guys have any wish to do one let me know. I�ll more than likely grant permission to use my characters. I hope you guys enjoyed my story and this chapter. Oh and the song is from a gundam series the song is named �Eternal Wind -Hohoemi wa Hikaru Kaze no Naka-� I got the lyrics from animelyrics.com
