A/N: Hey y’all! Welcome back for the next chappie of Alpha and Omega. So, this time, we’ll see about progressing things between pairs along with involving some plot. I’m going to try to switch between stuff that’s more between pairs and plot heavy chappies from here on out. Why? Because I want things to be a more pleasurable and exciting read than a boring and dull one. I’d hate to bore people with my work when I try extremely hard along with putting a lot of effort into what I write up.

Chapter 6: Lynx
Being in the Akatsuki base versus Konoha did feel strange at first for Naruto. Though surely he then noticed the difference in the environment. Back in the Leaf he had been exe experiencing an immense deal of strife. Yet, here, he feels as if he finally belongs somewhere as part of a family. Seeing the dynamic between the two artists can be an amusing time. The blonde thought the two acted as if they’re kind of an old married couple.
“What, un?” Pouted the blonde at noticing his sibling’s expression of trying to hide a smile.
“You two are cute together,” admitted Naruto sheepishly.
“I’m not cute,” sniffed Sasori indignantly.
“No, but you’re adorable,” pouted Deidara, not giving him room to argue about it, amused that he didn’t object. “Sasuke should be done with Itachi soon, hmph. You two should go check out around the village.”
“Uh sure. Any places in particular?” Asked the jinchurriki, figuring he would need to get used to the new terrain.
“There are some shops, a few places to eat, a tavern, etc. the usual stuff you’d find in the other villages, un. Though here things are different,” explained the older blonde to him, receiving an affirmative nod. “It’s all inclusive and more accepting here of others than in any other village, hmph.”
“Good,” this brought a faint ghost of a smile to the kitsune’s lips, glad to hear that Amegakure seemed to be like a safe haven for those different compared to the majority.
“So, you can go now if you’d like, un. We can spend some more time later,” Deidara offered, receiving another nod before hugging Naruto firmly, letting him go, hoping that he would be ok as he left the artists to whatever they would be up to in the meantime.
Feeling an arm drape itself around his shoulders, the feline glanced up at the Puppeteer with a brow raised. The gesture did comfort him, easing the tension a little. Yet, he can’t help to still feel worried about the jinchurriki. He can’t help it with being family. Though at least he knew that Sasori did seem to care even though it’s in his own way. That can be confusing at times considering with how he acts. Smirking at figuring out his partner’s train of thought, the redhead felt amused by this.
“He’ll be fine. You worry too much, brat,” muttered Sasori, steering him to a particular area which is their balcony.
“So?” Huffed the blonde with a slight tinge of an indignant edge in his voice, knowing he’s probably just trying to knock off the edge.
“Let’s make some perfection together, shall we? It’ll help take your mind off of everything that’s going on,” offered Sasori, knowing that would satisfy him more than anything else.
“I thought you would never ask, Danna. Thanks, un.”

Heading out into the hallway, Naruto is met by the Uchiha in question he’s looking for. Feeling relaxed at seeing no harm has come to him, the kitsune felt satisfied with his assessment. Raising a brow, Sasuke wondered what that had been all about. Brushing it off, he guessed the blonde’s probably just worried about him. Extending a hand to him, the blonde accepted it without hesitation. With their fingers intertwined sent pleasant tingles of electricity through as they went on their way out of the base into the village of Amegakure. Being given time to spend together would be good until they’re sent out on a mission.
“How are you?” Piped up Naruto, breaking through the silence that fell between them.
“Fine,” muttered the leech, knowing all of this is an adjustment, hoping that they would be ok here of all places. “What would you like to do, dobe? There’s whatever you’d like here from what I’ve noticed.”
“Ramen?” Asked Naruto sheepishly, feeling his stomach growl loudly.
“Hn, sure,” agreed Sasuke, leading the way to the bar nearby, going in to procure two seats for them before placing orders, knowing Naruto would probably go through four bowls more or less while he normally went through at least two depending on how hungry he felt, wondering how while being a vampire he could still enjoy human food while blood felt all the more satisfying to him.
Unsure of what to say, Naruto just remained quiet for a while. Looking down, he felt all of this had happened so suddenly. Did he regret any of it? No, not one bit. Having sensed that their sensei’s are here as well does make this more comfortable. They also had their godfathers and brothers in the ranks too. It did feel weird being so close to such people for once in their lives. Yet, they liked it nonetheless considering nothing would want them to be apart from said people. When the food arrived, Naruto dug in, feeling the need to satiate his hunger while Sasuke picked at his food absently. Both seemed lost in their own thoughts. Knowing that he’s laid claim to this kitsune does mean that he’ll have to deal with whatever comes about with their union. He still needs to officially do it aside from placing his mark on him. Fortunately, there’s always during the day or night when it could happen. All he’d have to do is bide his time until it’s the right moment to talk about it. Doing things on the spur of the moment did appeal to him, but at the same time he wanted to make sure it’s ok with his partner as well. Some time had passed to where both had finished their meal. Paying for it, Sasuke then grabbed Naruto’s hand to lead him out. Instead of returning to the base, he went to atop a hill surrounded by cherry blossom trees. Today seemed like a pleasant one with no rain yet there are a few puffy clouds in the sky. The brilliant rays did concern him. Somehow he managed to avoid them to be secure in the shadows. Sitting there in the shade, a gentle breeze wafted through to cause a whirlwind of petals to cascade. Wrapping an arm around Naruto, he pulled him close against him.
“Tell me something, will you?” Asked the raven haired male, breaking through the peaceful atmosphere.
“Like what?” Questioned Naruto in response, raising a brow, wondering what he didn’t know to reveal to him.
“Do you love me? Wait, that’s probably a stupid question for me to ask,” sighed Sasuke, not the best with these touchy feely sort of conversations and such.
Moving to sit on his lap, Naruto reached up to cup Sasuke’s face in his hands. Leaning in, he kissed him tenderly. Fluttering his eyes closed, Sasuke pressed back to return it with a burst of heat and passion. It made him wonder how such a person like Naruto could draw out emotions and the like from him that he thought buried deep down inside for such a long time. When the two parted at the moment Naruto needed to regain some much needed oxygen caused sapphire and ruby to lock in a stare. Gazing back into those cerulean pools felt like he’s with the right person as his mate in his life.
“Does that answer you enough, teme?” Teased the blonde softly.
“Yes, it most certainly does. Just know that from here on out….things are going to change.”
A/N: Yays! Done with chappie six! I’m so terribly sorry for the long wait on this update. What caused me to take some time is physical health with my sprained left rotator cuff and bicep. I finished up with the medication yesterday. Physical therapy starts on Wednesday. I’m looking forward to it though. It’ll be great to be set on the path of further recovery to regain the strength there.
Now, here are some plans I have in mind for this. Obviously I want more spice involved. I associate the word spice with smut if you don’t know already. The question is to you my lovely readers is which pairs do you want to see the most in such a situation? Let me know in your comments please.
