Sekito: Heh, indeed…. Welcome back for the next chappie of Unlikely Saviors. I’m surprised that Kuro is on a roll with this.
Kuro: I am too. It’s probably due to the story and ships that has me oh so enamored. besides, I’ll be finishing up First Bite this weekend. So, might as well get some chappies out for my Naruto fics as well. When this chappie is posted I’ll be entering it in the watty’s 2018. It’s an awards thing.
Sekito: Hopefully you’ll wind for one of your works.
Kuro: I hope so too. We’ll know sometime in mid to late September who won. I’ve entered a couple or so of my works that are eligible.
Sekito: Um, shouldn’t you get to the chappie?

Chapter 6: Ricochet
Sakura
Ugh, I can’t believe Sasori has been brought back….. Yep, definitely going to need to watch out for him. He’s definitely plotting his revenge against me. I’m not looking forward to that at all. Although whenever he wants to bring the fight to me I’ll be ready for him. The mission, well test, I had been given is to find Konan or Anko. Apparently this is a seduction mission. Really? This isn’t in my profession of being a doctor, but as a kunoichi seduction missions were normal. Well, might as well get this over with. Hopefully Hinata can forgive me later.
When approaching the spot I’d be able to locate either woman I wonder how exactly I should go about this. It wouldn’t be easy mind you. I’m not the best at this myself. Pinching the bridge of my nose, I sucked it up because I need to get this done and over with to then attend to my real job of being a doctor. A sudden tap on my shoulder caused me to whirl around to be face to face with the blue haired woman.
“I assume you’re looking for me, Haruno?” Asked Konan calmly.
“Um, yes, I am,” I confirmed, blushing slightly at how beautiful she is.
Damn, this is going to be harder than I expected. Don’t worry, Hina-chan, I’ll succeed and we can still be together.

So, for my test I’m paired with Kakashi. It’s a two man mission which helps. It’s reassuring that I’ll be with him and vice versa. Being around other Uchiha’s while is nice does make me nervous with how they treat me. I mean seriously? I’m not some little kid. Ugh, can’t they show me a little respect? I swear the newer generations of our clan are even more arrogant than our elders. Well, Kakashi has had to deal with both types. So, our test to complete is retrieving some scrolls. It’ an easy fetch quest. We completed it in a few hours. Returning back, we left the scrolls on the leader’s desk. Upon completion we were given cloaks.
“So, you gonna keep treating me like a kid, Itachi?” I asked him when we had walked out to meet up with the others.
“Hn, maybe,” smirked itachi, receiving another dark glare from me.
“Watch it,” I warned him, knowing my temper is getting the better of me although I can’t really help it.
“Hmmm, we only mess with you because you’re family,” grumbled Sasuke, knowing they mean well even though it’s not in a normal way.
“Yeah, yeah, I know,” I shrugged, waiting for the two women to finish up.
Within. Another few hours they returned. Both seemed a little flushed. Hmph, wonder what they had to do. Surely it must’ve been even more difficult than ours if they return in a hot mess. At least Kakashi and I would be paired together. The two women are as well. That probably pleases Sakura to know she won’t be parted from Hinata. But I worry about what Sasori plans for her. He holds a mean grudge. Oh well….. Nothing I can do about it. Besides, they’re more than capable of fending for themselves.
“Want to go grab a bite to eat?” Offered Kakashi, knowing I’m a little pissed off by the other Uchiha’s right now.
“Yeah,” but before we could go I froze upon seeing the elder beckoning me.
“Obito, before you go,” said Madara, stepping over to me. “Let’s have a talk, shall we? Your boyfriend can join us.”
My face immediately flushed up at that remark. Is it that obvious? Am I painting a sign on him and me that we like each other? I mean we are partners and all, but I don’t know if Kakashi actually loves me. He acts like Itachi and Sasuke sometimes. So, I really have no idea. Maybe I’ll find out sooner rather than later.
“What did you want to talk about?” I asked him, going to his separate office away from the Hokage of Ame’s.
“What are your plans for the future? You do know we are trying to revive the clan,” explained Madara simply, but I already know of this.
“Yep,” I nodded, knowing full well about what our clan is striving to accomplish.
“What are your plans with Hatake?” Is the next question he asked, blushing again as I now remember how nosey the elders can be of the newer generations.
“We are lovers, Uchiha. I plan to create a pack with him someday soon.”
What? Am I hearing things? Nope, clearly I’m hearing the truth ringing in my ears. Wow….. I didn’t think this would happen….. Thank Kami for this finally coming true.

Hinata
When I found out that Sakura and I are going to be partners in the organization I felt thrilled. It meant I could still be with her. yes, I know she previously had a relationship with Ino while I did with Anko. We both didn’t see eye to eye exactly. That’s why things finally came around for Sakura and I to realize our feelings for each other. Meeting up with her after exiting the leader’s office upon receiving our cloaks we decided to go to our assigned room. Pinning me against the wall she kissed me passionately before wrapping her arms around me protectively. I did the same to her, pressing back in the kiss. It depended before we had to part to get some oxygen.
“I love you, Hina,” breathed out the rosette woman, clear adoration in her eyes for me.
“I love you too, Saku,” I whispered, holding her close. “W-Will we b-be ok here?”
“yes, I’m sure of it,” she reassured me, carrying me to sit on the bed in the room with me still in her arms although I’m now sitting on her lap.
“What if we’re n-not?” I questioned, wanting to know what she’d do if things wouldn’t work out for the better here.
“Then we’ll hope for the best and make due with what we have. We do have each other after all. Besides, we have our friends too. We’re never alone, Hinata. You know I’ll always protect and love you,” reassured Sakura, wanting to make sure I knew that everything will be alright no matter what conflict comes our way.
“Thank you, Sakura. I’ll always protect and love you t-too. I-It’s a p-promise.”
A/N: Yays! Done with chappie six!
Sekito: That last scene was very cute. It’ll be interesting to see how the ships progress from here. Do you have further plots in mind?
Kuro: Oh yes….I most certainly do… *smirks*
