Part 6: My sin again

Sasuke sat solemnly with one knee tucked
under his chin as he leaned against the wall, his other foot dangled over the
edge of the bed. The whole day he
had spent like this, his ebony bangs shrouded his face as the light grew
steadily upon his form and then shrunk back as the day waned. He was brooding. The fact the he was brooding was not an
especially odd thing. Most of his life past That Day had been spent either
brooding or angsting. The difference between the two was that an angsting
Sasuke had a small crease around the corners of his eyes, while a brooding
Sasuke had a slight furrow to his brow.
No, the odd thing about his brooding was
that he had almost completely stopped for a matter of months, in fact during
that time Sasuke had seemed almost happy, but over the last month his brooding
time had steadily increased. Ever
since he had broken up with Naruto.
�Why did it have to be Him,� he thought dully, staring at he
floor. He�d had lovers before, but none of them had meant that much to him, or
had the kind of hold over him that Naruto managed to keep even now. But he knew why, that hyperactive
blonde had kept a hold on Sasuke for over ten years now- He was the one from
That Day.
-The blood was everywhere; it trailed
from room to room. Red streaks and
Red footprints. And Red eyes were
on me as I ran to my mother�s side in time to see her cut down by my brother�s
hand. I clutched her from where
she fell over father�s still form.
Their blood sunk into me, coating me, covering me, in a way that I would
never be clean from as I stared into her lifeless eyes and screamed. My
brother�s traitorous homicidal arms picked me up then and carried me outside of
the Uchiha Mansion towards the compound gate, I was still screaming.
He pressed a blade against my throat,
and I realized I was his hostage.
The Leaf members watched us leave.
Weapons in hand they did nothing, lest Itachi kill me too. He spared me only that he would be
spared. I wish they would have simply let me die and taken the bastard
down. But tender Leaf, let us both
live.
I screamed and screamed, the blood was
starting to dry. Then I saw
Him. He ran towards us Golden hair
sparkling, Blue eyes flashing- eyes the colour of heaven. My Angel that couldn�t save me. A small switchblade flashed in His
equally small hand, He was only my age, after all. And a man was chasing after Him, he had a scar across the
bridge of his nose and long legs that quickly caught up to My Little
Angel.
Tears ran down my face, leaving white
streaks in the Red that covered me.
The man pulled Him into his arms.
My Angel struggled against him, and His switchblade clattered to the
ground, sounding my doom. But even
still, He held out his hand. His
tiny little hand stretched out towards me. And I reached out to him, as Itachi carried me away. My tears washed the blood of my face as
we hopelessly reached for each other.
Now after all this time I�ve found Him,
but still- I can�t be saved.
�Naruto,� he murmured brow furrowing
deeper. He raised his eyes from
the floor, and released himself from his sorrowful musings as a shadow fell
across him. Sasuke looked into
soft chocolate-brown caring eyes on a pretty smiling face.
�Are you pining away, Sasuke-kun? Mmm�no, when you pine the corners of
your mouth turn down- just brooding then?�
�Ohayo Haku.� Sasuke responded and turned
his face away.
�No need to be so sullen,� Haku sat down
next to him cheerily. �Why don�t you tell me what�s wrong.�
�Hn,� Sasuke replied.
Haku let out a little sigh. �How can I help
you if you don�t talk?�
�You want to help?�
�Of course. We�re friends, right
Sasuke-kun?�
Sasuke raised an eyebrow at this, gave Haku
a long sidelong glance, and then with out warning pounced. In a matter of seconds he had Haku flat
on the bed, waist straddled with a firm grip on his wrists.
�Sasuke!� Haku made an exasperated
squeal. �I�ve told you before- I�m
saving myself.�
Sasuke shrugged, �He�s never going to make
a move on you.�
�I can dream though.�
�And die a virgin, which would be a waste,�
he said eyeing the lithe form underneath him.
Haku sighed, �Let me up now?�
�No, I don�t think so,� Sasuke said and
started to kiss Haku�s neck. �You said we were friends and you wanted to help
me- so help.�
�Since when did friends mean sexual
favours?�
�Since when didn�t it?�
�Sasuke!�
�What? I stole your fist kiss years ago. We
should at least makeout a little.�
�No we shouldn�t. Taking out your sexual
frustrations on me may make you feel better now, but it won�t fix what�s really
bothering you.�
Sasuke frowned.
�Besides, I still want that first kiss back
so I can give it to Zabuza-san.�
�If you insist,� Sasuke shrugged once more
and kissed Haku full on the lips.
Haku tried to protest, but only succeeded in giving Sasuke access into
his mouth. As Sasuke�s tongue
swept through Haku�s orifice, thoroughly ravishing it, the small bishounen felt
his resolve weaken and gave in to the boy on top of him. Eventually Sasuke pulled back and
smirked at Haku�s dazed expression.
�Now was that really so bad?�
Haku retaliated by smacking Sasuke with a
pillow and bolted to the door.
�You�re a jerk Sasuke, you know that?�
�Hn,� Sasuke answered and stretched out
across the bed.
�Well you better wipe that satisfied smirk
off your face- Itachi wants to see you.�
Sasuke�s face went blank as he felt Haku
had just tolled his death bell.
�You can tell the bastard to go fuck
himself.�
Haku sighed at Sasuke�s declaration of
defiance. �He won�t take no for an
answer, Sasuke-kun,� Haku said softly.
�I know.�
�You have about twenty minutes left, he�ll
be angry if you make him wait.�
Sasuke only continued to stare at the
ceiling, Haku left in silence. But they both knew Sasuke would be precisely on
time. He would answer Itachi�s
summons as surely as if he were a dog, leashed and chained to his Aniki.

Sasuke didn�t know what to think upon
leaving his appointment with Itachi.
It hadn�t been so bad, except that Itachi had made him sit in his lap
and kissed him on the forehead before letting him leave. Sasuke rubbed at his
forehead, vainly attempting to rid himself of Itachi�s creepiness. His mind
went back to the mission he�d just been given.
�This shouldn�t be too hard for you,
Otouto,� Itachi had said while slowly stroking Sasuke�s hair. The younger boy
had frowned but knew better than to pull away from his brother�s touch.
�Especially if you use your �special skills�,� he�d added.
�I�m not
seducing Orochimaru,� Sasuke said firmly.
But Itachi only shrugged indifferently, but
stopped petting Sasuke as he purred into his ear- �too bad, the man has always
had a fondness for you.�
Sasuke�d stiffened at this and thought
�Ewww,�- the last thing he wanted was to have creepy old-men snake-bastards
lusting after him. Dealing with
Itachi was more than enough to fill his creepy quota for eternity and
Orochimaru easily tripled his brother as far as that went.
�Do it how you want. Just make sure he�s dead.�
Sasuke had nodded, and jumped up to leave-
but didn�t manage to escape the kiss.
However his mind managed to flitter away
from his older brother, as he pondered the other part of the mission. It would
mean seeing Naruto again, and he really wasn�t sure how to feel about that.
�Naruto,� he mumbled. �What do I do about that dobe?�

Tsunade surveyed the boy standing in front
of her desk then glanced down to the documents he�d given to her.
�What the hell is Itachi trying to pull?�
The boy�s dark eyes remained
unreadable. �I�m sure if you read
them you would know.�
Tsunade humphed but read the papers quickly
and carefully.
�Is this a trick?� She asked.
�No,� he responded.
She smiled at him, �Like you�d tell me
anyway though.�
He shrugged.
�Well kid, I�d like to believe you- but
this� she gestured to the documents. �Is for establishing a temporary alliance.
Now why would someone who hated us enough to betray us and kill the rest of his
clan that wouldn�t follow him out, ask for alliance with us if it wasn�t a
trick?�
The boy sighed, �It�s simple. We have a common enemy, and Itachi
wants him dead as soon as possible- but we lack the resources to do so.�
�That�s a tall admission.�
�Hn. Well it�s true anyway, Orochimaru took
over half of our members with him.
There�s really only the elite members left, and they don�t see him as
worth thier time, and Itachi�s having a hard enough time getting them to stay
anyway, so��
�So Itachi foisted him on you?�
He nodded.
�Hmmm, so much honesty today. Well, I want Orochimaru dead as soon as
possible too. I�d do it myself but
I wouldn�t know where to start looking.
However, this says� she jabbed one perfectly manicured fingernail at the
documents �that you do.�
�We managed to procure some spies form our
former members that��
�That haven�t quite decided on an
allegiance yet? I see, you have
the contacts, we have the man power.�
He gave a quick nod.
�So you and two of yours are going to live
here while you choose and train a team of my men, then you all go out and kill
Orochimaru, and after it�s done you run home and we go back to being enemies
again?�
Another nod.
Another smile, �I like it.�
�Good, I�ll tell my brother.�
�I�ll expect you and your men tomorrow
morning. Best start soon, and get
this done quickly.�
One last nod and he was out the door, his
escort following directly behind him.

�Naruto!� Sakura called poking her head
into his room. �Wake up already!
Big news! Ten Ten said that there's this really pretty boy in Tsunade�s office
right now. She said he looked like
Neji with short hair- so of course anyone who looks at all like Neji she thinks
is good looking- but who knows he might actually be kinda cute��
�Oi, Sakura-chan,� Naruto said groggily
sitting up in bed, �You�re interested in boys?�
She smiled and shrugged, �Maybe, I don�t
know. I�ve just got so many
options now that I�ve dumped Ino�s sorry ass. Checking out boys might be fun. So you want to go?�
Naruto simply plopped back down in bed.
�Ohhhh! Why not? We can practice spying!
And I heard he�s from Red Moon- It�s so rare to have someone one from Red Moon
here, and I didn�t get to go to the big meeting, but I don�t want to go by
myself. Please Naruto! I�ll��
�Chotto matte yo! You said Red Moon?�
�Hai Naruto, Red moon. Isn�t that
interesting?�
�He�s pretty with
short hair and looks kinda like Neji?�
�Well that�s what I�ve heard, but I haven�t
seen for myself.� Sakura�s mouth
dropped a little as she watched Naruto jump out of bed and get dressed at a
breakneck pace. �Does that mean you�re coming?� she asked slowly only to
realize that Naruto was already out the door. �Oi! Naruto! Matte asshole! Ma-tte!� She screamed chasing
after him.

Naruto made it just in time to see Sasuke
waiting as his escort opened the gated to let him out. Sasuke was thinking how much faster it
would be for him just to climb the wall as he was used to doing. Naruto thought his heart was going to
stop. What the hell was Sasuke
doing there anyway? He couldn�t
even fathom the answer and just stared agape at Sasuke�s back until he heard
Sakura very loudly coo.
�Ooh! He is pretty! Prettier than Neji
even!�
Sasuke turned to scowl but instead his eyes
filled with humour at the sight of Naruto. He gave Naruto a nod of recognition then swept out the gate.
�Ehhhh! You know him, Naruto?�
�Uh, betsuni. I saw him at the big meeting,
but��
�Do you think he�s pretty too? He could almost pass for a girl.�
Naruto sniggered, �Yeah I do think he�s
pretty, and he definitely looks like a girl.�

Naruto waited impatiently with a feeling of
uneasiness settling in his stomach. He wasn�t the only one unhappy to be there-
Tsunade had called all the young members for a �special meeting�. As Naruto crossed his arms in annoyance
he surveyed those around him.
Shikamaru looked bored and half asleep listening to Choji�s grumbles as
he stuffed potato chips into him mouth, Kiba was playing with his pet dog
Akamaru, Shino had found interest in a nearby ant�s nest, Hinata looked mildly
bored as she stood next to her cousin, Neji, whose face was completely
impassive despite TenTen fawning over him, Lee was the only standing at perfect
attention, and Sakura and Ino were glowering and throwing insults at each
other.
Finally Tsunade showed up, three others
trailed behind her. Naruto ground
his teeth as her recognized one of them, �Bastard� he thought.
Shikamaru winced as he recognized one of
the party as well, he put a hand to his neck as if simply the sight of that
pretty face revived the pain it had brought to him those many nights ago. Tsunade made simple introductions then
explained the mission in equally simple terms.
�I�m not working with any traitorous Red
Moon bastards!� Naruto shouted at Tsunade.
�Oh yes you are, you ungrateful little
shit!� she yelled back. �Now shut
up and show some respect for your elders.�
Naruto fumed and started another round with
Tsunade- �If you think that I�d ever work with��
�Do as you�re told!�
�Oh shove it grandma.�
Tsunade proceeded to throttle and threaten
Naruto. Sasuke watched with
amusement, but felt uneasy. How
much did Naruto really hate him now?
Tsunade eventually managed to threaten
Naruto enough to get him into a reluctant submission, but she punished him for
his display by assigning him to give their new allies a tour of the
compound. Naruto tried to protest
some more, but Tsunade wouldn�t have any of it.
�Now get to work, damn brat,� she said as
she marched away with an air of extreme annoyance.
�Old hag!� Naruto called after her, she
ignored him.
As Naruto pouted Sakura smiled with a
slightly maniacal glint to her eyes,
�I�ll show Sasuke-kun around if you don�t want to Naruto.�
�Huh? Iie, daijoubu Sakura-chan. I always complete my missions, no
matter how much they suck,� he said with a pointed glare at Sasuke.
�Oh, well I�ll come with you. So it won�t
be so bad, ne?�
Naruto shrugged, �If you want to��
�If Sakura�s going I am too!� A haughty
voice called.
�No one asked you to Ino-pig!�
�Well no one asked you either. Your ego must be as big as your
forehead!�
Naruto rolled his eyes at the girls, and
started walking away while sending a nod to the Red Moon members to follow
him. Sasuke stayed moodily
expressionless as Naruto gave the tour.
The other two members of Red Moon, Zabuza and Haku, seemed only mildly
interested in what Naruto had to say. Possibly because they had nothing better
to do, the group was accompanied by Hinata, Kiba, and Lee- with Sakura and Ino
bringing up the rear, and squabbling the whole time.
Naruto ended the tour on a far corner of
the compound in front of the old Uchiha mansion. �Tsunade-baba says that you�ll be staying here. No one lives here anymore, but it�s
been kept up pretty well.�
Sasuke surveyed the building with a slight
shiver, but his attention was taken away from melancholy thoughts as Ino and
Sakura both started to flirt with him.
He was taken aback by their sudden change in demeanour, but noted with
an inner smirk that Naruto looked annoyed. However the girls flirting over him quickly turned into the
girls fighting over him.
�Why would Sasuke want to go out with you,
Ino? You�re like a stick insect, boys like girls with curves- didn�t you know
that?�
�If that�s so then you should have gotten a
lot more boys Sakura, since you�re as fat as a cow!�
�I can get plenty of boys!�
�Oh really? A pity fuck from Naruto doesn�t
count as �getting boys�.�
Ino and Sakura bristled at each other while
Sasuke discreetly raised an eyebrow at Naruto who quickly avoided his stare.
Everyone else looked embarrassed, except for Zabuza and Haku who were politely
ignoring the whole confrontation.
�Yeah, well begging sex from Shikamaru like
a dog on your knees doesn�t count either!�
A small growl escaped from Ino before she
attacked. Both girls were well trained in fighting and it was an even match,
but one clearly clouded with emotion.
They kicked and punched and scratched and bit, but soon they were
kissing. Angry punishing kisses
that bruised, full of mean violating tongues.
With this new development Naruto quickly
led the members of Red Moon inside the mansion, they seemed quite happy to
follow and escape the scene.
�Anno,� Hinata cleared her throat and
averted her eyes from Ino and Sakura�s violent snogging. Kiba�s jaw was slack and he was
starting to drool a little, but she gently led him away. Lee followed, slightly confused.
�So, Sakura likes boys now?�
�Ah, she might Lee–kun.�
�Then,� a brilliant thought formed in his
mind, �I have a chance to win the heart of that sweet angel!� His eyes shone with a frightening
radiance of determination.
Kiba guffawed until Hinata shushed him,
looking distressed at the whole situation.

Naruto tried to stay completely formal
while he made sure that the Red Moon members could settle comfortably into
their new quarters. When every
thing seemed satisfactory he attempted to leave as quick as he could, but
Sasuke caught him before he made it out.
�Let me go, bastard!�
�Listen for a minute- I know you�re angry,
I can respect that. But we�re
going to be team mates for awhile and some camaraderie would be nice.�
�You can�t just break up with me and then
come here and expect me to be all buddy-buddy with you!�
�I�m only asking for some civility. And it�s not like I wanted this
mission. I�d certainly rather do
other things than chase down perverted paedophile snake bastards.�
�Perverted what-bastards?� Naruto asked,
taken slightly by surprise.
�Forget it—the point is we need to
get to get along, if only for the sake of the mission.�
At that Naruto made a face.
�I�m serious Naruto! I will not allow us to become like
those two ridiculous girls out there.�
�Sakura and Ino? Yeah they are acting
pretty dumb��
�Dumb? It�s asinine.�
�Whatever Sasuke—but I�d never be
like that. I�d either simply give you the cold shoulder like I�ve been doing,
or beat the shit out of you.�
�Like you could.�
�Don�t try me asshole! Do you have any idea how hard you being
here is going to be for me?�
�You think this is easy for me? I�ve been forced by my bastard brother
onto enemy ground with only two allies to take down a lunatic with a thing for
me and I have to deal with an idiot ex-boyfriend
being hostile while resting the urge to jump him!�
�Huh?� Naruto wasn�t sure what bothered him more; the fact that
Orochimaru had a thing for Sasuke, or the fact that Sasuke still wanted him.
�Oh just get out of here! You are so
annoying.�
�Annoying? I�m annoying you?� Naruto suddenly
became affronted.
�Yes, very much. Now get out.�
�What if don�t? You gonna make me?�
�You sound like a child, but I will �make�
you if I have to.�
�Keh, you�re too much of a pansy to make me
do anything.�
�Pansy? Dobe, check your memory, I�m the one that topped. Every
time. If I�m a pansy I have no idea what that makes
you.�
Naruto hissed angrily.
�Nothing to retort?�
And with that Naruto punched him hard in
the jaw
�Mother fuck!� Sasuke screamed. And they
went at it, punches flew.
Eventually they stopped from exhaustion and
took a pause to catch their breaths.
�Do you feel better now?� Sasuke said
panting
�Actually I do,� Naruto ducked his head
feeling a little sheepish. �Sorry
about the way I acted. Seeing you
here was just such a surprise, and I�m still not over the whole thing yet.�
�Hn.�
�So truce?� Naruto stuck out his hand
�Sure.� Sasuke took the hand, they shook.
But Sasuke didn�t let go instead he pulled Naruto into a hug. The blonde was still too tired to
protest much.
�I�m sorry I hurt you Naruto.� Sasuke whispered still holding onto
him. �But I had to, it was just
too dangerous. What would have happened if my brother found out and ordered me
to kill you? What would I have
done? I�d be a traitor either
way.�
Naruto sighed, �It was still hard, I really
felt something for you� I still feel something for you.�
�I feel just as strongly for you now as I
ever did.�
Naruto swallowed hard �Sasuke��
�Shhh, let�s not talk anymore. I missed you Naruto. I�ve lived so long in a state of
darkness that I forgot what the sun was like. An then you came into my life, bringing the sun with
you. It was hard to go back into
darkness.�
Naruto pulled back and looked into Sasuke�s
eyes. He saw the truth of Sasuke�s
words shining in the two obsidian orbs.
Naruto simply couldn�t help him self and kissed the other boy
passionately. Sasuke returned it and all resolve and heartache melted away,
replaced by he purity of a lover�s embrace, where words have no place as the
action speaks all truths.

Sakura slammed Ino down hard onto the
blonde�s bed. She straddled the
other girl and fumbled in the drawer beside the bed and pulled out a
