A/n: Hey y’all! It’s time for the next chappie of Alpha and Omega. Let’s hope that I can make it longer this time and from here on out. It’s been frustrating me with this along with my other Naruto stuff how it keeps coming up short. Yeah, yeah, I know I care more about quality and such, but I do have standards for length. So, maybe we’ll try breaking this supposed curse today or another one. We’ll see what happens I guess.

Chapter 5: Howl
Back in Konoha the fighting has finished up a bit ago shortly after the six left with the two. Cursing under his breath, Jiraiya swore that he would reunite with his pupil whenever they manage to infiltrate Amegakure given the chance. Sighing in defeat, the sage did feel frustrated that he couldn’t have done enough to stop this from happening. Noticing this, Orochimaru came over up beside him to place a comforting hand on his shoulder. Causing the sage to snap his attention over at him, Jiraiya raised a brow. It confused him as to why the other Sanin would care.
“It’s not your fault,” murmured the serpentine male in a rare soft tone, not liking seeing his comrade in such a state of distress.
“Are you sure? There’s no telling what will happen to the kid,” sighed Jiraiya in frustration, still beating himself up about it on the inside.
“Yes, I’m positive. Don’t you trust me?” Asked the amber eyed male, gently having him face him for their gazes to meet. “I used to be a part of the organization you know. Their goal isn’t to extract the beasts.”
“Then what’s their purpose with them and whoever else they capture?” The toad wanted to know, seeing the other male giving him a light glare. “Ok, ok, I do trust you. Damn, no need to be a hissing cobra at me.”
“Uh huh, sure,” muttered Orochimaru, rolling his eyes, brushing it off then to back off of him, ushering for him to follow. “Come, it’s about time I returned to them after such a long time. Most likely the leaders will be expecting us anyways.”
“Will they accept me in their midst?” Asked Jiraiya skeptically, not sure about this though knew he would need to have faith in his supposed partner.
“You’re with me so of course,” scoffed Orochimaru, glancing behind his shoulder to see the other man is indeed following after him to walk in step with him. “Either we can continue on foot or go the faster route by summoning Manda.”
“You’d probably want to get their quicker. So, get your great serpent out,” suggested the whitette, hoping that Tsunade wouldn’t take this as a betrayal on his part.
“Very well then,” he couldn’t help feeling his lips twitch ever so slightly in amusement, performing the correct jutsu to summon his beast, hopping onto the anaconda’s back, offering a hand to assist Jiraiya to sit behind him.
Eyeing the offered hand with a pinch of hesitation, Jiraiya decided to take the plunge. Accepting the help, he’s assisted onto Manda’s back behind him. Grabbing onto Orochimaru’s hips with a good enough grip they then set off for the rainfall village. Hopefully the travel would be quicker this way even though it may draw some attention. Fortunately if it does then they’re more than capable of getting rid of any enemies that may sprout up during their journey. When they do arrive it’s near dusk. Getting off at the outer gates of Amegakure, he dismissed his beast for the time being. Motioning for the sage to follow, the two went past the front gates. Finding no opposition didn’t bother Orochimaru, but it did for his partner. Perhaps that’s to be expected considering where they are currently. Going straight inside, Jiraiya can’t help to feel nervous about this whole thing.
“Masters, I’ve returned,” announced Orochimaru, knowing the proper titles to give the leaders of the infamous organization, slithering into the office accompanied by his partner. “You’ve been expecting me I’m sure.”
“Indeed we have,” murmured Madara, smirking in a pleased manner upon seeing the two. “I see you brought him with you. Good, we’ll be of need for someone like him in our ranks.”
“Hn, I’d imagine so,” nodded the serpentine male, wondering where this would be going, having little patience for too much small talk unless it’s necessary.
“Your lab and such has been kept in well conditioned shape,” Nagato informed him, causing Orochimaru to hiss in approval of this news.
“Good, glad to hear it. I’m interested to see how things progress here with the plans settled. Have you already carried out the further steps?” Asked the naga, figuring he’d ought to know the details.
“Indeed we have. The others have been given their missions to carry out. As you know Itachi, Kisame, Deidara, and Sasori are of leave right now considering they’ve already completed their part. The rest have duties they must see to be finished. The same goes for you two,” explained the eldest remaining Uchiha in the Five Nations.
“What would that be?” Asked Jiraiya skeptically, narrowing his eyes slightly at this.
“Well, there are still some individuals that need to be persuaded to join us obviously. In a few days time return to Konoha. Until then settle in here. Consider it a welcome home sort of occasion.”

Meanwhile, Sasuke walked i step with his older brother. Thinking over what had been discussed with Madara made him unsure of what would happen from here on out. One thing he knows for certain is that there would be serious training conducted by his own brother. It did excite him, wondering how it’ll be different compared to the snake. There hadn’t been much talk between them. It seems that Itachi had gathered him after he had spent some quality time with his partner. It’s understandable, causing him to wonder how Naruto is faring right now. At least he’s with the two artists which settles his mind of worry. When Itachi eventually stopped, he didn’t turn his back around to face him.
“Are you prepared for this?” Asked his older sibling in his usual calm demeanor though there’s a tinge of seriousness in it this time.
“Of course I am,” scoffed Sasuke, narrowing his eyes slightly at him, wondering what he actually thought of him.
“Good answer,” smirked itachi, knowing this would be teaching him a few tough lessons to aid him in the plight ahead of them all. “Obito will be aiding me in your training later on. Right now, you’re with me.”
“I know,” shrugged Sasuke, seeing him usher him into one of the training rooms, glancing around to wonder what he would be taught exactly.
Being handed a katana blade, Itachi explained to him, “First off, I want you to show me what you know so far when it comes to this type of fighting. From what I’ve heard from Orochimaru you usually use your jutsu and taijutsu with the occasional swordplay. It’s about time you learned how to use it fully against me.”
“Are you sure, Nii-san?” Asked Sasuke, uncertainty flickering within his ebony gaze, not sure of the circumstance for this.
“Don’t question me too much, foolish little brother. I’m very certain about this. Each day you’ll come here to spar with me using this against my own. When we’re done then you’ll be able to go as you may to do what you please.”
“Hn, very well then… Let’s get this started…”
A/N: Yays! Done with chappie five! Sorry, no spicy scenes this time. Though there was plot and context involved. So, it’s not a loss at all. Hehes
Obviously with recovering from Monday means my energy is kind of spotty. That’s why updates are being a little slowish. I do really want to involve more spiciness in this, but obviously the plot is important too. It’s good that I do have, what I consider, the perfect balance of both in my stories.
Anyways, enough of me blathering on. I hope y’all enjoyed what happened this time. I’ll try to have the next chappie out on Saturday if possible. If not, then expect it on Sunday or sometime later next week. Until then please remember to review darlings!
