Chapter 5: First Dates
The next morning sees Sasuke in front of his closet trying to decide the outfit to wear on his first date. He finally chooses black jeans with a dark blue shirt, the Uchiha crest proudly displayed on the back. He pulls on his wristbands and fixes up his hair. But as he does, he begins to feel his nerves grow. He does not want to mess this up. He can’t mess this up!
He looks to the door when he senses Itachi and doesn’t realize his wide eyes. His ears are back and his tail low.
Itachi finds it rather cute how nervous his brother is for his first date. “Calm down Sasuke. We need to be the rock for our omega. Worrying over this won’t help.” He comes over and gently kisses his brother’s head. “You’ll do great. This is an excellent idea for a first date.”
Sasuke smiles at that and soon they find themselves in the car and on the way to Naruto’s house. When they arrive, Sasuke stays in the car for a few moments as he gathers himself.
Deidara smiles and shares a look with Itachi. It is so cute how determined Sasuke is.
Finally, the youngest Uchiha gets out and goes to the front door. He straightens his shirt before he knocks on the door.
A man with silver hair answers causing Sasuke to stand up straighter before bowing respectfully. “Good morning, Sir. I’m Sasuke Uchiha.”
The man smiles. “Hello Sasuke. I’m Kakashi. Please come in. We would like to talk to you first.”
Sasuke nods, having suspected this would happen. “Yes, Sir.” He follows Kakashi inside and to the living room.
A brown-haired man is sitting on the couch, but once the two come in he stands up. “Hello Sasuke. I’m so happy to meet you. Thank you for saving our boy. I’m Iruka.” He comes over and holds Kakashi’s hand.
Kakashi is still smiling but his voice becomes more serious. “We hope for a successful courting but do not try to force it. If he declines, can we trust you to let him go?” His eyes are locked on the young alpha.
Immediately Sasuke nods. “I will never force him to be with me.”
Kakashi nods. “I hold you to that. And your brother is escorting you two on this date?”
Sasuke nods again. “My brother and his mate are coming. Deidara, my brother’s mate, loves foxes as well so it is a win-win.” Slightly ironic considering they are both fox omegas. But he guessed it also makes sense in a way.
Iruka chuckles at that. “How wonderful when that happens. Well, I’m sure Naruto will be down soon.”
Sure enough, the three look when Naruto comes in stumbling slightly as he puts on his shoes. “Okay Sasuke!” He stands up and blinks at them. “Cool. You met. Let’s go see baby foxes!” He grabs Sasuke’s hand and pulls him to the door. “Bye Kakashi! Bye Iruka!” The Uchiha has no other options but to be dragged outside.
Sasuke laughs softly at this and manages to open the car door quickly, getting in next to him.
The blond buckles up before looking to the two in the front seat. “Hi Itachi and Deidara.”
The other blond turns around with an excited look. “Hey there. So excited! Maybe we can even get these grumpy boys to coo over them too, hm?”
That causes Naruto to grin at a fellow spirit. “I’m up for the challenge!”
Itachi frowns as he pulls onto the road and starts driving. He glances at Sasuke in the review mirror. “I have a feeling we should be worried.”
Sasuke nods at that. “Yeah. Me too.”
Deidara rolls his eyes. “Oh hush you two. So dramatic, yeah.”
A small smile is given as Sasuke turns to Naruto. “Anyway. Deidara is mainly into sculptures but he dabbles in other forms of art too. Like photography.”
Naruto gasps. “Really? That’s so amazing!”
He nods, knowing Deidara is preening over the praise. “And so, I asked him to bring his camera so we can have pictures of our first date.”
Dei adds in with a hum, “He even offered to pay, yeah. Per photo.”
Naruto slowly blushes, blue eyes wide. He locks with Sasuke. “Wow…I…” It seems the gifts are already starting. And it is the perfect thing in his mind. A happy memory! So he smiles and takes Sasuke’s hand. “That sounds perfect.” He also loves that Sasuke wasn’t asking Deidara for a favor. He was offering to pay for it. “Thank you Sasuke.” And then he leans over and kisses the wolf’s cheek. It’s an instinct, one to let the alpha know they did good.
Sasuke actually relaxes a bit as if he had been worried Naruto may not like it. “Deidara refused to let me pay.”
This causes Deidara to huff. “It’d be weird, un. Besides, I’m more than happy to flex my skills in any art form.”
Naruto feels excitement flow through him as the entrance to the zoo comes into view. They find a good spot and are soon in line for tickets. Itachi pays for his and Deidara’s while Sasuke pays for theirs.
Once inside Deidara and Naruto drag the wolves to the fox exhibit. There’s an outside and an inside exhibit. The one on the inside is the one with the kits, but they can still enjoy watching the grown and juvenile foxes playing with each other outside.
Deidara begins taking pictures of the two without them even realizing it. Naruto being so focused on the foxes, his blue eyes shining with excitement and his smile filled with joy. And Sasuke’s entire focus…is on Naruto. His piercing eyes locked onto that smile with his own small smile. Deidara manages to get a few pictures of them holding hands. Their wristbands contrasting nicely together.
After about fifteen minutes of having fun outside they decide to see the kits. At the sight of the cuties, Deidara tears up. His hand rubs his belly and he leans against Itachi. The raven having a hand on the fox’s belly as well. Seems Itachi caved.
Naruto’s eyes take in Deidara’s reaction. He tilts his head and allows the thought of kits to flow in. He told Iruka he doesn’t want them after all. But as his eyes move to Sasuke, his mind begins to create images of a tiny baby Sasuke with fox ears. Blue eyes widen at that.
Sasuke looks at him and notices the strange look. “What?”
Naruto shakes head with a smile. “Nothing.” Though he decides he might as well say it. It is a courting after all. “Just thinking of what a baby you would look like with fox features. Orange and white ones I believe.”
Sasuke chuckles at that. “Oh? And what’s the verdict?”
The young fox grins. “Completely adorable. So if you do this courting thing right then maybe one day~,” he trails off with a teasing look. They spend about ten minutes watching them (the mother brought them back into her den) and by the end of it Deidara manages to get a picture of Sasuke sneaking a kiss to the cheek and Naruto blushing.
Naruto looked down to where he’s holding hands with his, well technically, boyfriend. They’re walking outside to find the next exhibit to go to. He watches and feels Sasuke squeeze his hand and quickly looks up. “Anyway, what’s your favorite animal Sasuke? We should go look at it too.”
Sasuke is a bit taken back by that but shrugs. “I don’t know. Maybe snakes.”
Itachi and Deidara add in, “Definitely snakes.”
That has Naruto make a face but he nods. “You saw us make those faces at babies so I guess I can suck it up too.”
With a smile Sasuke rolls his eyes. “Thank you so much for your understanding.”
“I aim to please.” Naruto winks and skips ahead to the map to find where the snake exhibit is.
Sasuke watches Deidara go over too before he goes to Itachi. “I think it’s going really well. He’s way more comfortable around me and is even flirting a little.”
Itachi chuckles. “Of course. Just like you won’t half-ass this, neither will he. He is giving this a true chance. Hold onto that and give it your all.”
This has Sasuke nodding. “Yes brother.” He goes over to Naruto when he’s called over, Itachi following as well.
Naruto definitely is not a fan of the snakes but watching the fascinated look on Sasuke’s face makes it worth it. And this time he’s the one watching Sasuke the full time. Which of course Deidara gets pictures of.
After that they get some snacks before deciding the last exhibit to see. Itachi didn’t want Deidara pushing himself despite the blonde’s feelings at the fussing.
“Itachi loves birds, un. And the exhibit is beautiful.”
Sasuke raises a brow and looks at his brother. “I didn’t know that. I thought you like panthers or something.” Itachi merely gives him an amused look at that.
Deidara huffs softly. “Why do you think I go on about them all time, hm?”
Sasuke shrugs. “Figured they were your second favorite animals or something.” He gets a teasing look. “I don’t always listen.”
Deidara pouts and crosses arms. “Oh that’s just mean Sasuke. How rude of you.”
Sasuke was about to reply when he got a fierce poke to the head. “Ow! Stop that Itachi!”
Itachi merely smirked. “Then stop messing with my mate, little brother.”
Naruto rolls his eyes but has a small smile. This feels nice and even right. They see the bird exhibit, which is indeed beautiful, and before leaving they stop by the gift shop. “You’re already giving me photos and this trip.”
Sasuke shrugs. “So? I want to give you this.” He locks eyes with him. “And do understand that these are not bribes. If you really don’t want me then I’ll back off. I’m giving you these things because I want to and because I have a feeling you deserve to be spoiled.” During the chat with Itachi he realized he has the same viewpoints as his brother in that aspect.
Itachi crossed his legs as he relaxed back in the chair. “The way I see it is that omegas deserve every action of love. Including presents, activities, and words. They may consider it a bribe, as in you’re only giving them it to make them pick you. The best gifts will be ones that can last after the courting is done, no matter their choice. Because it is their choice in the end. Not yours. Remember that.”
Naruto blushes and can’t hide his small smile. “Well…okay.” He picks a stuffed fox with a smaller baby fox attached to it. “This please.” His small smile turns to a full grin at the small smile Sasuke gives him.
Itachi chuckles at the exchange and picks up a golden fox with a soft fluffy tail. “Deidara.”
Deidara’s attention moves from some craft objects and he lets out an excited squeal. “Oh yes please!”
On the way to the register, Sasuke pauses by a picture book that contains a lot of the animals here. “I’m going to get this for the twins. When they’re older they can look through it. And we can still show it to them before they really understand it.”
Naruto cooed a bit at it. “Aww! That’s so sweet!”
Deidara nodded, lightly rubbing his belly. “That’s an amazing idea Sasuke. They’re going to love it, yeah!” He’s obviously very happy but also starting to get a bit tired.
They pay for the gifts and head back to the car. During the ride back to the Uchiha home the boys continue holding hands. They go in with Itachi’s comment that as long as they stay downstairs Naruto can stay.
“I simply don’t want any unnecessary noise while Deidara is trying to nap.” He then heads up to his rooms.
Naruto is actually rather glad that they’re staying down here. He isn’t too sure he wants to be in Sasuke’s room yet. So when the alpha suggests they watch a movie, he nods and they head to the living room.

In the park, Kiba and Akamaru are playing frisbee. Kiba took off his shirt a while ago and now is displaying his tattoos.
A certain redhead raccoon shows up at the park, having followed his instincts even though he didn’t know why they were bringing him here. Now he knows. So, he decides to just watch Kiba for a while. The wolf can realize he’s there on his own time. His eyes move over the ink moving over muscles. There was a dragon winding around Kiba’s back with the tail looping around to the front. The open mouth showing sharp teeth rested on Kiba’s left shoulder blade. Gaara’s hand comes up to rub his own tattoo. “Maybe I should get more…” The pain of getting it had actually been relaxing. But he really doesn’t know if tattoo parlors around here even offer to omega. Some don’t and Konoha isn’t known for being inclusive. Then again, Sasori is now teaching so maybe…
Kiba suddenly realizes they’re being watched. He looks around before freezing. Then he gives a fang showing grin at him. He calls to his brother. “Yo, Akamaru. Practice your throwing. I’m gonna talk with my friend here.” He goes over to Gaara. “Hey. Cool seeing you here.”
Gaara nods to the younger wolf throwing and chasing the frisbee. “Is he your brother?”
Kiba nods. “Yeah. Akamaru. Best little brother I could ask for. Though sometimes he can be annoying but that’s more of our age difference I think.” He chuckles and shrugs.
“Ah…my siblings are currently being annoying and it was either go for a walk or kill them.” His voice gives away that he is still partly annoyed. “I like your ink.”
The tone during the sibling part makes it hard to tell if he’s serious or not. But Kiba decides to ignore it as he realizes this is his chance. “Thanks man! Was a bitch to get but totally worth it. Hey. Speaking of aggression. There is a self-defense class here run by a feline/wolf pair. They don’t care about ranking and will both help. They believe everyone should be able to defend.” He sees the frown and quickly explains before the other can be insulted. That will definitely be a problem. “What I’m saying is they can help you channel your energy so you won’t lash out so much. And you may learn new moves. We can ask if they’ll give us a free session and you can see if it will be something you want.”
Gaara sees it as an attempt to give a gift. Kiba noticed he has a problem and is offering a way to help. “…I will give it a try.” It actually does sound useful and is rather thoughtful. “Are you going to come with me?”
Kiba’s smile turns to a smirk, a bit of fang showing. “Hell yeah I will. I want to watch you fight again.” His voice holds a bit of a rumble to it.
Which causes Gaara to shiver and his pupils to dilate slightly. “…interesting…” He’s still a bit surprised by his body’s response.
Kiba is definitely pleased by it though and moves closer. “Hope I can fight you myself again. Was exciting last time.” He moves even closer, slowly like a predator approaching its prey slowly. “Especially the ending.”
Gaara seems to agree as he closes the distance fully between them and connects their lips. It isn’t as violent as before but definitely not gentle. Gaara’s claw-tipped hand clenching Kiba’s longer hair as his other is suddenly twisted and pinned behind him by the wolf.
Kiba growls low and goes to deepen it when he hears his brother making gagging sounds. He breaks it with a grunt. Time to lose the brat. “So I figure you don’t want to go home yet. If you give me a few minutes I can take Akamaru home so we can hang out.
Gaara nods. “That sounds fine. Though we could use this time to see if the defense class will take us.”
Kiba nods. “Perfect.” He turns to Akamaru. “Come on. I’m taking you home.”

“We are Kito and Cerenes Akuma. Wonderful to greet you.” The wolf, Kito, actually looks a lot like Sasuke. Except he has dark green tints to his black hair and his eyes are a dark red. He might also be a bit taller but probably because he’s older.
The feline, Cerenes, smiles. “Welcome to Akuma Fighting.” His long hair is a soft baby blue and he has dark blue feline features. His eyes are a deep set green.
Kiba smiles. “I’m Kiba and this is Gaara. We’re wondering if we can get like a free test lesson. Just to see if Gaara wants to give this a try.”
Cerenes nods. “We’ll be thrilled to offer you a trial class.”
Gaara is slightly shocked that they offered it right away. “I already know a lot.” He only says it so they’re aware.
Kito smirks, (another thing like Uchiha). “That’s good. We’ll do a few quick spars so I can judge what we’re working with. Cerenes here will watch your form and offer tips.”
After a few seconds of thought, Gaara responds. “Okay.” It really does sound fine with him.
Kiba grins. “I’ll just watch this time. Though I may join in with future classes. That okay?”
Cerenes giggles. “Of course. We get couples a lot.”
That statement causes Gaara to blink. “Other omega come here?” That is another good surprise. This place is looking even better.
Cerenes shrugs. “Usually for basic defense for if the alpha isn’t around. But we do get them.”
Gaara nods. This is probably the best place they could have picked. “Okay. Can we do it now?”
Kito nods. “Sure. We don’t have anything scheduled right now. Come on back and we’ll get started.”
As they walk down the hall, Gaara looks to Kiba. “…Thank you.”
Kiba grins wide at that and his tail starts to wag. “Sure thing, Gaara.” He notices the tiniest of blushes but doesn’t say anything about it. One thing that Itachi had said is that you need to read the mood.
Itachi’s gaze landed on Kiba, obviously taking joy in the boy sitting straighter. “Knowing you as I do, I am sure you have already annoyed your omega. So take this to mind. Before you tease, take in the mood. Notice your surroundings and how Gaara seems to feel at that moment. Teasing is fine sometimes but not always. One wrong word can cost you.” It looked like he spoke from experience. He must have messed up at least once during his courting. Sasuke knew it was probably wrong, but he enjoyed knowing that even Itachi made mistakes. Besides, it worked out in the end.
The redhead rolls eyes. “Don’t get mushy on me or I’ll think you’ve turned into Naruto.” Soft pink lips twitch into a smirk.
Kiba finds himself thrilled that Gaara is actually talking with him and even joking. “Well that’s true.” Naruto is definitely sappy when he wants to be. “Don’t worry Coon-chan. I don’t do soft~.” He’s a tiny bit worried what Gaara’s reaction will be, but knows he needs to go for it.
Gaara is quiet for a little bit. “Mutt.” He smirks fully and continues walking.
And Kiba merely locks his fingers behind his head, tail still wagging.
Note: Hey everyone! So took me a bit to get this figured out but here it is. Have part of the next chapter decided so that’s a good thing. I know my updates are slow but the important part is I’m giving them. And a little heads up, I’m working on a series. Like all four stories in that series at the same time. They were going to start as one-shots but as usual I just need to tell more of the story. I have some Black Butler ones as well that are being worked on and even two ghost stories (one for Black Butler and one for Naruto). So many stories want to leave my brain and jump for joy for you guys. Thanks for reading and look for my next update!
