She glanced around before entering the hallway. No one seemed to be around at all, which was a little strange, as there were usually guards around. She was kind of happy that there weren't, as she was in her pajamas; a big, old t-shirt with the Konoha emblem stamped across the back, and a pair of loose pants that barely fit her. They had been her dad's; he gave them to her, saying that he thought they might be good for training... they weren't, but Sakura used them as pajama pants, anyways, and they were comfortable. She didn't even have a bra on, and in that one aspect she was glad that there was no one around.

Taking a deep breath, she stepped up silently to Naruto’s door, held up a tentative fist, ready to rap, but holding back in case he didn't answer. What would she do then? Continue to wander aimlessly around town until the sun rose? It was pretty close to dawn, anyways, as the distant horizon was tinged purple. Soon, the sun would be up, and she would be back at her training, possibly a mission or two with Naruto and Kakashi, maybe a report or two that would require her to be eternally stressed.

She turned around. He wasn't going to answer; it was much too early, and much too late.

She took a step towards the stairs she had just climbed when she spun herself back around.

No, she thought, lifting her fist again. No. I want to talk to him. I have to talk to him. If I'm awake, then so, too, will he be.

She rapped sharply, twice, and immediately heard movement inside.
