Hello there! So, another chapter.. :D Hope you like Ja Ne
He jumped into the room below and stood near the doorway. He could hear the nins in there, talking rapidly. His blood ran cold when he heard her voice. “Karin,” he whispered. Karin glared at the others. “I can’t believe you let him get away,” she snapped, and then stopped. “I can feel a familiar chakra back there,” she said, “There is a door back there, you idiots didn’t check, did you?” One of them frowned. “We didn’t know there was one back there,” he said, “Didn’t think he would stay around his cell.” Karin huffed and grabbed a kunai. She crept towards the chakra, stopping at the door. The other two followed behind her, ready to tackle the runaway. They watched as she looked around the corner. Sasuke growled and punched Karin in the face, sending her flying back into the other nin. She cried out in pain, holding her face, as she tried to get up. “Sasuke?” “Didn’t think I would come for him, did you?” he snarled, tomoe spinning angrily Karin shook her head. “Sasuke, they told me he was controlling you,” she said, “I wanted to protect you!” “From what?!” Sasuke yelled, “What could you possibly protect me from?” He stopped yelling suddenly. “You hurt him, you hurt me,” he said, “Karin, I hope to hell that you had nothing to do with him actually being brought here.” She looked down and at the nin she had fallen into. Rubbing her face, she shook her head. “He had already been here for a week before I knew,” she said, “Did you know that he is in love with you?” “Really?” Karin nodded empathetically. “They said he would talk about it, when they were interrogating him.” “Should I ask him about this?” Sasuke asked in mock disgust, “We have him right outside.” “I think you should,” Karin said, “He is a deviant and shouldn’t be allowed around anyone… he should be in jail.” Sasuke nodded. “Well, come on, I want to know if this ... accusation of yours is valid.” Karin nodded and gestured for the other two nin to follow her. They walked to the trap door, climbing out of the basement. Ino, Hinata and Itachi looked over when Sasuke emerged. The older Uchiha tensed when he saw the other three. “Sasuke?” he said timidly. The younger man stared at his brother for a moment. “So, Itachi, Karin tells me that you are in love with me,” he said, glaring at him, “Well, Itachi?” Karin smirked at Itachi, her arms crossed on her chest. Ino cocked her head in confusion. The other two nin where poised to attack, staring at the former missing nin. “Sasuke, why would you ask such a question?” Itachi asked, standing. “I am just curious as to hear the answer.” Closing his eyes for a moment, Itachi reached his hand out for Sasuke. “Of course I do,” he said, “More than you can imagine.” “See, Sasuke, he is sick!” Karin said. “Shut up,” Ino snapped. Sasuke nodded and looked at Itachi, the glare vanishing. “Yes, you are ill, aren’t you?” he asked, pressing a kiss to his neck, “Feeling better now though, right?” Karin’s eyes bugged out and Ino fell over laughing. “That was my reaction,” she said, “Why would you think he would have any interest in us, when he can have that beautiful specimen?” Hinata just shook her head and laughed silently. “But… Sasuke?” She was completely ignored as Sasuke kissed Itachi again. “I am feeling much better,” Itachi said, leaning his full weight on Sasuke. Naruto and the others rushed up. Blue eyes widened when he saw Sasuke’s former teammate. “What’s going on?” Karin jumped up and looked at them, pushing her glasses up. “I was brought here to help with Itachi, because they told me he had designs on destroying the village!” Sasuke looked away from Itachi for a moment. “Care to actually speak the truth?” he asked idly, “Stop dicking us around.” Kakashi frowned. “We will let Tsunade decide,” he said, “She stays with us.” Karin nodded. The elders needed them to trust her! Shrugging, he gave up and looked back up at Sasuke. “Seems that they were the only ones in there,” Sasuke said, “So, should we wait until we get to the village to ask her questions?” Kakashi nodded. “Neji and Shikamaru will be back shortly,” he said, not noticing Naruto’s face turn into a pout, “We will wait for them and then head back… though, Hinata, you and Naruto go and get a few rooms at the inn, or at least find a place for us to stay until we can leave.” He dug around in one of his pouches. “Here, this is a letter from the Hokage,” he said, “Find the elder or mayor of the village and give that to them, this should keep suspicions down.” Naruto and Hinata nodded and left. Hinata looked up at Naruto as they walked. “If it bothers you so much, to send my cousin out with others, why do you do it?” “Because, he would distract me,” Naruto said, “Plus, I am totally not sure how your father would react to the fact that his nephew gets it on with me.” The younger girl giggled. “I don’t think it would be much of an issue,” she said, “Father has come to respect you a great deal… he also loves Neji and wants him to be happy.” Naruto stopped and looked at her. “How do you know?” She blushed and looked down. “Because, Father already knows about your relationship with Neji,” she said, “He is waiting, impatiently, I might add, for you to come and speak to him personally…… he already has our elders backing off from making Neji marry.” “H-h-how did he find out?” Naruto squeaked. “Neither of you were very aware of your surroundings at the festival a few weeks ago,” She said, pulling him along, “He saw you kiss Neji and then realized how much happier he has been lately.” Naruto flushed and scratched the back of his head. “Really?” he asked, “Well, then.. well… when we get back, I guess I will talk to your father.” She grinned. “Good, now, let’s go and get the rooms,” she said. Karin sat in front of Kakashi proclaiming her innocence. “I didn’t hurt Itachi, I promise,” she said, “I didn’t know!” Ino sighed. “Karin, let’s just wait until we get back to the village,” she said, “You aren’t helping yourself right now.” She wasn’t really. Sasuke looked disgusted and angry. Ino had set to work, again, on healing various contusions and bruises on Itachi’s body, finally fully repairing his fingers, which made Sasuke attack one of the other nins. It took Kakashi, Neji and Shikamaru to hold the raging Uchiha down long enough for Ino to get the poor sucker out from his range of attack. Said poor sucker was now missing three fingers and a good chunk of his palm. To prevent such an attack from happening again, Itachi sat in Sasuke’s lap while Ino finished with the healing. Karin glared angrily at Itachi, as he leaned on Sasuke, his head underneath Sasuke’s chin. The younger Uchiha knew she was angry and hurt. Sighing, he kissed the top of Itachi’s head and looked at Kakashi. “How long before that dobe gets back?” he asked, “I turned off my communicator.” Kakashi sighed and pulled the microphone closer to his mouth. “Naruto?” Crackle and “Yes?” “Almost done?” “Yes, head towards the village,… we have an actual cabin, so, get Itachi here.” Sasuke lifted Itachi and smiled when he realized the older man had fallen asleep. Karin stared at them for a few moments, and then stood. “All right,” Kakashi said, “Let’s go and get this confusing mission over with.” Neji and Shikamaru grabbed the other two nin and placed cuffs on them. One was still whimpering about his hand. Ino did the same to Karin. “You haven’t proven yourself to be trustworthy yet.” Karin nodded. “I understand,” she said. Sasuke rolled his eyes and started walking. The others followed him, the three cuffed shinobi looking down at the ground. The walk back to the village was uneventful and quiet, other than the whine of the injured man. Sasuke turned and grinned evilly at him. “If I find out any of you have touched him in any other way, I will kill you, painfully, and” he said cheerfully, “The Hokage herself will not be able to save you.” Karin swallowed audibly, and avoided looking at her former teammate. Hinata and Naruto were waiting for them at the village entrance. The blonde ran over, grinning. “The mayor is perfectly happy to have us here and even let us have his own personal cabin in the back of the village,” he said, “he only uses it when he has visitors, so, it is plenty big enough and we shouldn’t be here that long.” Neji shook his head. “Calm down, Naruto,” he said. “Dobe,” Sasuke added. “Hey, I am not!” “Sure you are.” “Damnit TEME!” Itachi stirred and stared at Naruto. “Sasuke was right, you are loud.” “HEY!!” Itachi laughed and looked up at Sasuke. “Where are we?” he asked. “Small village near the Hideout,” Sasuke answered, setting Itachi on his feet, “We have to stay here until Tsunade sends for us.” “I see.” Karin sighed and held up her cuffed hands. “Do we have to stay like this?” Sasuke glared and went to speak, but, Ino stopped him. “Yes, you do,” she said, “Until this is straightened out, you are in our custody, hopefully, we are not here long.” The mayor of the village rushed towards the gate, calling out apologies. Kakashi met him halfway, his posture showing complete…laziness. “Ooh, I did not think your team would be here so quickly,” the mayor said, fumbling, “My cabin has not yet been prepared, they are working on it now.” Naruto held up his hands. “Hey, don’t worry about it,” he said, “a little dirt won’t hurt us.” The mayor nodded, embarrassed. “However,” Kakashi cut in,” do you have a shinobi jail, we need a place to put these three until we leave.” He gestured to Karin and the other two. “I could just kill them,” Sasuke said, grinning. Itachi shook his head. “No, Sasuke,” he said, “That wouldn’t be good, then we would get the information we need, right?” “hn.” The mayor nodded hurriedly. “Yes, of course, just follow me,” he said, “I will have my assistants escort the others to the cabin.” Kakashi nodded. “Naruto, I will take Shikamaru and Hinata with me to take these three,” he said, “you go and get settled, who knows how long Tsunade is going to make us wait.”
