Chapter 4 Baby It's Cold Outside

Tsunade sighed and leaned back in her chair as she dismissed Naruto and rubbed her temple. She was a bit concerned about this 'secret admirer' of Naruto's but, though a bit psychotic, so far it didn't seem as if he was a danger to Naruto. She poured a saucer of sake and sighed. She just knew that she was going to end up with a shitload of paperwork because of this. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Naruto entered his apartment and went to make himself some tea and work out his final matchmaking plots. Shikamaru and Temari would be easy, as soon as Temari realized that Gaara had Neji she'd act on her feelings for Shikamaru, and so would TenTen and Lee, they just needed to realize that their feelings were reciprocal. Kiba, Shino, and Hinata however were going to be...difficult. It was amazing that Kiba hadn't smelled the mutual attraction the three of them held for each other or that Shino's kikaichu hadn't picked up on it either. 'I guess they just haven't had to be that close to each other long enough to pick up on it.' All of a sudden with that thought a plan hatched in Naruto's head and he chuckled as he wrote out a few notes to send in the morning. Then he went to bed.

next morning Dec. 24th
Gaara read the note Naruto had sent him and shook his head at the blond's endearing deviousness as it occurred to him that his and Neji's kiss under the tree branches probably hadn't been a fluke of luck. He then sent a note of his own to his sister and requested her presence at the Hyuga compound in an hour and made his way to the compound to see Hiashi about the fact that he was going to be taking Neji with him to Suna, whether the Hyuga clan head agreed or not.

When Lee arrived at training ground 4 as requested in Naruto's note, he was surprised to see TenTen sitting on the ground, cursing as she tried to stand only for her ankle to give way beneath her. He rushed forward and knelt beside her, "TenTen! What has happened?!"
The weapon's mistress looked up at Lee with relief, "I wasn't watching where I was going and I stumbled over a root. I think I sprained my ankle on the way down."
Naruto, who had been about to come out of hiding when he saw TenTen had injured herself, relaxed and sat back to watch the scene unfold. 'Not what I had in mind but this works too.'
Lee gently took TenTen's foot in his hands and carefully worked her sandal off, revealing her ankle. It wasn't swollen or discolored but when he pressed the side near the bone, TenTen winced. Lee stroked the skin of her ankle soothingly, "I'm sorry, I did not mean to aggravate it."
TenTen shook her head and tried to ignore the pleasant tingle his fingers left in their wake, "It's fine. So what's the verdict?"
"A very minor sprain I think but perhaps a medic should take a look at it to confirm my opinion?"
TenTen nodded, "Kay, think you can help me to my feet and let me lean on you while we walk?"
Lee frowned, "No! You should not walk on your ankle until we know it's safe to do so.
" She frowned, "Well what do you suggest? That I walk on my hands?"
"Of course not."
"That's what I-"
"I shall carry you."
Lee's matter of fact statement had her blushing and stuttering protests even as he scooped her up into his arms. She gripped his shoulder, "Lee I'm not a damsel in distress! I can walk, I just need a shoulder to lean on."
"TenTen why do you refuse my help? Is it that you dislike me?"
"Don't be an idiot! I like you more than I should."
Lee froze and TenTen turned the color of a strawberry as he looked down at her, "What do you mean 'more than you should'?"
TenTen realized that the cat was out of the bag and that denying what she'd said wouldn't do her any good so she just decided that she might as well finish digging her hole to crawl in and die, "What do you think I meant Lee? I meant I like you. The way that Kurenai liked Asuma. And I swear if you laugh at me I'm gonna kick your mmph!"
TenTen's eyes widened then shut slowly as Lee's mouth moved against hers in a soft sweet kiss. When he pulled back from the kiss she opened her eyes to him smiling gently, "I love you too TenTen."
TenTen decided then that maybe it wasn't so bad to be carried by Lee.

Temari grumbled as she entered the Hyuga mansion. Why her brother had called her here was beyond her understanding. It wasn't as if she didn't have other things to do, such as stalking a certain lazy shadow wielder. She was directed to a private study and turned the opened the door to see the second most shocking scene of her life. There was Gaara with his hand down a half naked Hyuga Neji's pants and Neji was moaning and tugging at Gaara's clothing, trying to strip the redhead. Temari stared for a moment then, face flaming she turned and ran from the mansion, confused as hell.
Her feet seemed to have a mind of their own and she soon found herself outside Shikamaru's door. Before she could decide whether or not to leave, the door opened and Shikamaru stood blinking in surprise at her presence. He took in the almost shell-shocked expression on her face and stood aside, motioning for her to come in. She followed him into the kitchen and raised an eyebrow when he handed her a cup of sake.
"You look like you need it."
She took it with a wry smile, "You have no idea."
Shikamaru chuckled and brought his sake glass to his lips, "Want to tell me about it?"
Temari smirked, "Oh you want to hear about how I walked in on Gaara and a half naked Hyuga Neji playing poor man's polo?"
Shikamaru dropped the sake cup in shock, the liquid splattering all over his chest. Temari laughed and got up to grab a dishtowel to dab at his wet chest, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said it like that."
Shikamaru cleared his throat, "So Neji and your brother were actually..."
She nodded, "Yes."
He sighed, "Troublesome."
She chuckled, not noticing that she'd stopped dabbing at the sake and now her hand was just laying on his chest. Shikamaru, however, was highly aware of it. He cleared his throat, "Er Temari I think my chest is dry now."
She jolted and blushed as she took her hand off his chest and started fiddling with the towel, "Oh sorry."
"It's fine. So does it bother you? That Gaara is with Neji?"
She shook her head, "No I'm glad he's found someone but I'm worried too."
Shikamaru took the towel out of her hands and threw it to the side. He kept one of her hands in his and played with her fingers, "Worried about what?"
She focused on his hands toying with hers, "I just don't want Gaara to be hurt. He's been hurt enough."
Shikamaru smiled at her, "You don't need to worry about Neji hurting Gaara. He's a royal dick to most people but when he cares he does all he possibly can to protect his precious people."
She met his eyes and spoke disbelievingly, "So you're saying that they won't fight?
" "No I'm sure they will. It's inevitable but Neji won't allow the fights to keep them apart. They'll make up and be stronger for it."
She chuckled, "You know for a lazy bum you're pretty good with words."
Shikamaru shook his head, "You always have to get a dig in don't you?"
"It's part of what makes me charming," the feel of his hands on hers began to fluster her and she pulled away from him, backing up a few steps. She cleared her throat, "Um I think I had better go and tell Kankuro about Gaara and Hyuga."
She turned and began to rush away, missing his satisfied smirk as he followed her to the front door. She turned back to him briefly, "Well thank you. For listening to me."
She opened the door and gaped at the furious blizzard swirling outside. Shikamaru chuckled, "I don't think you'll be going anywhere in that."
He reached around her and shut the door as she whirled around, "How long is that storm going to last?"
He shrugged, "Several hours most likely."
"What am I supposed to do cooped up in here with you for several hours?! Play shogi?!"
He smirked and crowded her against the door, "I can think of another activity if shogi bores you."
Her eyes widened as he caught her lips with his. He nipped at her bottom lip and soothed the tiny bite with a swipe from his tongue. She felt herself melting into him and pushed against his chest, "No don't."
He turned his attention to where her ear and jawline met, nuzzling it with is nose and flicking it lightly with his tongue, "Why not?"
"I-I can't be involved with a Konoha ninja. I have responsibilities to my brothers."
Shikamaru pulled back to meet her eyes, "Gaara has Neji now and Kankuro has Anko. They have their happiness in the palm of their hands, don't you have the right to reach for your own?"
She stilled and searched his eyes, "But..."
He laid a finger on her lips, "Don't you think they would want their big sister to be happy and wouldn't they be pissed off to find out that you were putting your life on hold because of them?"
She was silent for a moment then she made a decision, "That's underhanded Shikamaru."
"I'm a ninja. It's my job to be underhanded."
She chuckled, "So it is," she snaked her hand up to snatch his hairband out and smiled in satisfaction as his hair fell around his face, "Now what other activities did you have in mind Shi-ka-ma-ru."
He grinned at the seductive way she drew out his name, "Allow me to demonstrate," and he brought his mouth to hers again.

Naruto snickered as he let the image of Shikamaru and Temari fade from the spying crystal, "Go Shikamaru. I guess you can put effort into something when you want." The blond shifted his attention back to the crystal and focused on finding Team 8.

(somewhere on the other side of Konoha)
Kiba, Shino, Hinata, and Akamaru ran through the blizzard that had hit so suddenly. They were heading for a cave that they knew was near their favorite training ground. It was small and cramped but it would offer shelter from the storm. Shino was at the rear and was watching Kiba and Hinata closely, worried about how cold they were getting. The snow was soaking all their clothes and they had fewer layers on than Shino did. He caught a quickly hidden shiver from Hinata and called out to Kiba, "Can you tell how much farther it is?"
Kiba looked back at him, "I can see the outline of it now so we're almost there."
Shino nodded and soon they were entering the cave and Kiba crouched down to build a fire with some wood they kept in the cave for just such occasions. Shino stripped down to his boxers and a thin t-shirt he wore under his coat and armor. Hinata blushed when he told her and Kiba to do the same, "W-what?"
"We need to get warm and since our clothes are wet they'll keep the cold in."
Kiba nodded and followed suit, "We should probably share our body heat too."
Hinata turned the color of a ripe tomato but stripped down to her camisole and boy-short panties. They laid their clothes out to dry and Kiba finished building the fire, told Akamaru to lay beside it until his fur dried and went over to where Hinata and Shino stood. He grabbed their wrists and tugged them down so that the three of them sat in a circle with their backs pressed together. Kiba, disliking the silence, started talking, "When Akamaru dries off he'll come on over and his fur will act like a blanket not to mention he puts off heat like a furnace."
Hinata giggled and settled more comfortably against the boys' backs, "So tomorrow is Christmas, do the two of you plan to go to the party Hokage-sama set up?"
Kiba laughed, "You know I'm always up for a party."
Shino shook his head, "I suppose I should attend as well. Someone needs to make sure Kiba doesn't embarrass himself."
Kiba twisted to face Shino, "Hey! Take that back bug boy!"
"No."
The dog ninja growled and grabbed Shino's shirt-front, initiating a grappling session. As they rolled around trying to get the upper-hand Hinata fluttered and tried to get them to stop. They bumped into her, knocking her over so that she sprawled across them. All three of them stilled immediately. Shino was on the bottom of the pile with Kiba half on top of him, the dog ninja's thigh between the bug wielder's legs and Hinata's face was so close to his, that a single word would have their lips touching. Kiba found his face in the crook of Shino's neck and inhaled the scent of the darker brunette while savoring the feeling of Hinata's breasts pressing into his back.
Hinata tried to lever herself up, much to her teammate's disappointment, only for her hand to slip out from under her, causing her lips to collide with Shino's. At the same time, Kiba had opened his mouth to say something and her body landing on his back had pressed his open mouth against Shino's neck and, since Kiba had a lack of impulse control and he'd wanted to taste Shino for a long time, he licked the skin under his mouth. Shino's eyes had widened when Hinata's lips had hit his and Kiba's tongue just added to his surprise but he was a man after all and, genius or not, when a man finds himself being kissed by one of the two people he loves while the other is licking his neck he gets aroused. Kiba caught scent of the arousal and peeked at Shino and Hinata from the corner of his eye. Shino brought one of his hands up to the back of Hinata's head to hold her in place when she would have pulled away and proceeded to truly kiss her and after a fleeting moment she closed her eyes and returned the kiss.
Kiba felt a bit dejected because he thought the two people he loved want each other and not him but then he felt a hand squeeze his ass and since he could see both of Hinata's hands he knew it was Shino's hand groping him. Kiba grinned and decided to test the waters with Hinata since it was now obvious that Shino had no problem wanting both him and Hinata. 'Let's see if Hinata's willing to be with both me and Shino.' The dog ninja half turned to nuzzle and nip at Hinata's jawline while one of his hands slid under Shino to grip the bug ninja's own ass. The kunoichi's eyes flew open, Byakugan activating subconsciously and she gasped seeing both her boys lavishing attention on each other as well as her. Shino took advantage of her gasp to slide his tongue into her mouth. She closed her eyes on a slight moan and lifted a hand to thread her fingers through Kiba's hair. The dog ninja grinned and slid his free hand down her spine to her lower back then around to her front to cup a breast gently at the same time shifting so that his thigh rubbed against Shino's groin. The bug user broke the kiss with Hinata to make a sound somewhere between a moan and a growl. Hinata's eyes opened again and she met Kiba and Shino's gazes, "Kiba-kun? Shino-kun?"
Kiba flicked her nipple, "Hmm?"
"D-does this mean what I think?"
Shino pet her hair, "It means we love each other, all three of us."
She nodded and gave them a beautific smile that had Kiba leaning in to kiss her while Shino slid his hand down from her hair to cup her other breast. She leaned into their hands and opened her mouth for Kiba's tongue. Akamaru sniffed at the air outside the cave and noticed that the storm was over so he left the cave to go home; he did not want to be present while his master mated.

Naruto dropped the spying jutsu post-haste of the same opinion as Akamaru. He sooo did not want to watch Team 8 bang each other. He put the crystal away along with the scroll that contained the blizzard jutsu he'd used to drive his friends inside. He stretched and was looking out at the setting sun when a knock sounded on his door. He went to open it and frowned when no one was there. He shook his head and went to the kitchen to fix himself something to eat only to freeze when he saw the envelope on the table. He opened it carefully and read the message inside.
Merry Christmas Eve Naruto-koi. I find myself both eager and apprehensive for you to finish reading this letter. The reason for this that I am in Konoha and would like to give you your next present in person. You will find me at training ground 3. I hope that my identity will be a pleasant surprise and not a distasteful revelation for you. See you in a few moments I am sure. Merry Christmas from your Secret Santa
Naruto laid the letter on the table, gathered a few weapons, and left for the training ground.

He entered the training ground and looked around for the presence of anyone, "Alright I'm here. Where are you and who are you?"
A shadow detached from one of the upright logs and Naruto gaped at the sight of the person in front of him. The dark man smirked, "Surprise usuratonkachi."
