Sakura sat at the table on the stage. It was the night before the village banquet, and it was about time for her to reveal the truth to the small group before the village. She looked over to her sensei with a worried look. Tsunade just smiled and continued to pretend to listen to Naruto. Sakura stood and said
“T…There is something I have to say.” Every one of them looked at her. Sakura wished that the kids were allowed in so she wouldn’t feel like she was alone. However only the top ninjas were allowed as well as the hokage (Tsunade) and her guard (Sakura).
“I know you all were hoping that, Hinata, would be here however s…she wasn’t able to... Make it.” They all looked at her questioningly Tsunade grew grim and said
“Sakura are you sure you want to do this now and not at the banquet?”
“No they should know first sensei.”
“Then maybe it would be…”
“No I don’t want him. he is already touch enough about this... I told him about what we talked about.” Tsunade jumped up shouting
“WHAT! SAKURA I THOUGHT WE SAID WE WOULD ASK HIM FIRST?”
“Yeah well Saku was giving them an attitude and went to far. So I told him…”
“Sakura!”
“Please he has enough to deal with…”
“Fine, but I don’t want to be there when he meets him.”
“I didn’t think you were going to. I’m not doing this for me. I doing this for him. He needs to be with his real family.”
“But…” Sakura growled
“Tsunade, Hinata is died and she left him in my care if I say he is to be in my care he will be.” The room fell silent as the people around the two grew pale. The two had left her death on down low in fear that hell would break free. Neji looked at Sakura and said
“What proof do you have?”
“Other than her unseen blood… nothing but a motherless child. Hinata was pregnant with a kid. We were on a mission. I… we didn’t know that she was… We had been ambushed and they stabbed her in the stomach just barely missing the unborn child. I was about to heal her when she had told me, that she bare a son and had asked for me to cut her open and save him.” Sakura looked away tears already falling down her face. “her last words to me were ‘Sakura save him, save my little boy and raise him as your own his father can’t raise a child on his own and I cant give him to Neji with the feeling that he will be safe. Neji wouldn’t…” Sakura looked at the door and said
“After I got the baby out she asked to see him. She used her last breathe to say ‘my little babe… Take care… of your new mommy… she saved you …and all I can do is… is give her a child to ease her pain... Saku that will be your name… after you savior.’ she died in my arms holding him.” an angry voice said
“Why did you tell them that and not me?” Sakura look to the door to find Saku clutching his fist about to cry.
“Saku…” he just stood there waiting for her to continue. But she never did so Neji asked
“Who was the father… of him?” She looked Sasuke and said
“He……*sigh*Naruto” everyone one looked shocked at a shocked blonde spiky hair guy. Saku said
“I won’t go even if you make me I won’t!”
“Yes you will Saku, you are not my kid, you are his and I won’t take away what little he has… no matter what he has done to me nor anyone else.”
“HE CAN GO TO HELL FOR ALL I CARE. MOM GAVE ME TO YOU AND I’M STAYING WITH YOU!” Everyone looked at the boy in shock as Tsunade said,
“I was afraid this would happen. Sakura I did warn you when you first came to me with this news. Now is the time you answer my question.”
“Naruto, I think it would be best if you take him with you. You don’t have to worry about his protection. He’s as good as anyone in this room. Tsunade and I saw to that. Neji can if you don’t want to but I think it would be best if you do take him with you. Though you might want to keep him away for the new girl. Saku already has tried to kill her.”
“NO, I WON’T I’D RATHER BE DEAD!” Haruki then coldly said
“That can be arranged if you really want to!?” Saku glared at his comrade and said
“I’m just fine with the way things were we don’t need him in our lives.” Sakura then said
“Your right but he isn’t going to be in our lives. He’s going to be in your life not mine. Saku, you need to be with your father I can’t take care of you anymore. I’m sorry Saku but it’s time that you forget about me. I’m sorry. Tsunade make sure he leaves with one of the two for me.”
“Sakura, are you sure you want to do this?”
“yes…bye.” Sakura walked up to Saku and kissed his forehead saying
“I will always love you as my own, remember that.” Then she went for the door when Naruto said,
“I get why she left him in your care but… Sakura why did she say all she could do to ease your pain was to give you Saku?” Sakura froze Tsunade seeing this said
“It’s alright Sakura I’ll tell them.” Sakura with that ran off out of the door before anyone them could do anything. After an hour of nagging by the people of the room Tsunade sighed. sorry Sakura? I hope that bought you enough time. Then stood and said
“Sakura has went through hell since you all have left. Kakashi after the last time you and Sasuke had saw her the only one left for her was me, Hinata, and Sei and the child.” She looked at Sasuke,
“Your child, when word got around the village there was nothing but celebration. The villagers took it into their own hands.. The did everything for her. They even sent word around to get to you…… however... Your brother got word of it first…” Sasuke’s shock grew into fear which grew deeper as Tsunade continued, “Sei.. As close as he was to Naruto and Kakashi felt like it was his duty to do what every he could for Hinata, Sakura and by his friendship with Sakura felt it was his duty to take care of her and the unborn child as the father until you came to take the role as father.” Tsunade looked at Saku who just watch the door in shock. “Your brother had came for her and the child however Sei wouldn’t allow it. Sei challenged him for the safety of them however he wasn’t able to protect them like he wanted to. However he had given the two enough time to get to safety. We had put her on extreme watch and hide the signs of the child. When Naruto had popped in for a visit like he did every so often. We wanted to tell him however she was afraid that word would get back to Itachi.”
“Uh, oh yeah Hinata had said something about a child… but didn’t say who it was.” Sasuke and Kakashi glared at him as Tsunade continued
“Well when things had calmed down, she started to go back to a normal… well as normal as she could get life. Itachi had made her a surprise visit when Hinata was out at a party with Neji and Tenten.” One of the other village ninja’s said
“We don’t know much about what happened. But what ever happened had caused her to lose the child and nearly cost her life.” Tsunade said as Sasuke grew pissed
“After that Hinata never left Sakura’s side unless Naruto was here and she could stay with one of the villagers. I had found out after her death through Itachi himself that…” Tsunade looked away and said
“That he had raped her until she missed carried. Then cut the fetus from her wound. He said that he wouldn’t allow his little greedy brother be happy.” Sasuke had lost it and shouted
“If the whole village was so happy about it then why wasn’t she under better care?” a voice simply said
“Because she asked us not to.” they all turned around to find Iruka holding a crying Saku close to him
“Tsunade are you sure you should have let her go?”
“It isn’t up to me. She had choose the best way to protect that boy in hopes that the three could live normal lives.”
“But at the cost of herself?. It doesn’t seem right.” Sasuke and Naruto shot up forgetting about Saku And the two growled
“Where the fuck is she?” Saku turned his teary eyes in shock at the two guys. Tsunade said,
“She must have went to the party.”
“No She went to the manor.” Sasuke shouted
“WHAT MANOR?” Saku said
“The manor that uncle Sei and mommy stayed at with Hinata…” Naruto knelt down in front of the little boy and said,
“I know you may not like me, but can you please take us there. Sakura means a lot to all of us.”
“Only on one condition?” The two looked at him confused. Sasuke then said
“What is it?”
“Promise me that mommy won’t be left alone when I leave?” the two smirked and said
“Deal. She won’t be left alone ever again. one of us three will always be with her.” Saku looked at him confused
“We weren’t going to leave any more except one small one day job.” Saku smiled and said
“So I can stay with mommy?” The two nodded as Kakashi said
“But don’t call her mommy. It would be too odd. Aunt would be more appropriate.” Saku thought for a moment then nodded.
