T.W.: Eh-heh (scratches back of head in Naruto-esque manner) I'm soooo sorry for the wait everyone. A bunch of stuff happened including a little writer's block.
Sai: How many people got your implication about Itachi?
T.W.: Fewer than I thought actually. I guess that the backside terminology threw people.
Sai: Backside is another word for the ass right?
T.W.: Yeah and (glances over as Itachi comes in carrying a psychotic plot dust bunny) Oh look who's back.
Itachi: You have three seconds to tell me what will happen with Kana before I throw this at you.
T.W.: Hmm, sorry not gonna happen.
Itachi: One.
T.W.: It's rather entertaining watching you get impatient.
Itachi: Two.
T.W.: Still not saying.
Itachi: Three. You asked for it (lobs the dust bunny)
T.W.: Oh Faaang! Itachi has a plot dust bunny snack for you!
Itachi: WHAT THE HELL?! (stares at the horse sized red dragon eating the dust bunny)
T.W.: (pets the dragon's head) Meet Fang, my pet dragon. Fang the nice guy in the cloak who brought you the dust bunny is Itachi, say hello.
Sai: (snickers as Fang licks Itachi's face) That's quite a pet T.W.
T.W.: Yeah and he's such a good protector aren't you Fang (cuddles Fang's head) Ne shrink for me?
Itachi: (gawks as Fang shrinks down to house cat size and T.W. cuddles him) It shrinks?
T.W.: Yes HE does. Fang can be bigger than a house or small as a mouse depending on the situation.
Sai: Where'd you get a dragon for a pet?
T.W.: Fang was a gift from an old friend. Oh and Itachi?
Itachi: What?
T.W.: Fang currently likes you buuuut he makes a protective Uchiha look like a timid mouse when he thinks someone's threatening me so you might want to be cautious when my dragon's around.
Itachi: I could almost admire your deviousness regarding the dragon.
T.W.: Why thank you. Now I'm gonna do something I rarely even consider and dedicate this chapter to MissMayumi and Crimson2006 since the fic that they co-author, "Switch", made me feel tons better after a truly awful day. Thank you so much you guys (sends tons of squishy hugs) Oh! and oohshiny I'll be happy to send you alerts but I need your e-addy, AFF doesn't show them in the profiles anymore. Okay on to the fic. Da-da-da!

Hinata looked over as she heard Naruto approaching with someone else and she nearly fell back on her ass at the sight of the person trailing behind him. She cried out in distress while running forward to place herself between Naruto and the unknown person, "Naruto-kun look out behind you!"
He turned in surprise as Hinata interdisposed herself between him and a startled Kana, who'd begun backing away nervously. 'Oops. Maybe I should have warned Hinata-chan ahead of time.' He put a restraining hand on the Hyuga heiress's shoulder.
"It's okay Hinata-chan, she's not a threat to me."
Hinata glanced at Naruto in mild surprise, "She?"
"Yeah, she's Orochimaru's daughter."
Now Hinata's butt did hit the ground and she stared up at Naruto, "Naruto-kun could you give me a more detailed explanation."
It was clearly a demand and Naruto swiftly filled the gentle woman in.
Once he'd finished Hinata stood and went over to Kana, who stood tensed and ready to run like hell at the slightest hint of hostility. The Hyuga heiress took in Kana's tension and smiled apologetically as she held out a hand, "I'm sorry for my earlier reaction, I was simply surprised and I am very protective of Naruto-kun."
Kana relaxed and took Hinata's extended hand in greeting, "You don't need to apologize Hyuga-san. I understand the desire to protect a precious friend."
Naruto grinned, "Now can we get to training already? You don't mind if Kana-kun joins us do you Hinata-chan?"
Hinata's smile became exasperatedly indulgent and Kana chuckled at his eagerness. The Hyuga woman turned to Naruto, "Of course I don't mind her joining us. We can start as soon as we're finished wrapping your bindings, you do still have them don't you?"
He turned redder than a lobster and muttered, "I forgot about having to do that but yeah I have them."
Kana watched curiously as Naruto took out the bindings and stripped off his jacket embarrassedly. She realized why he was so uncomfortable and turned to study the nearby foliage while Hinata helped him bind his breasts.
After a few moments, Naruto called out, "Kana-kun what's so interesting over there?"
The girl turned back to them with a smile, "Nothing really, I just like plants."
Naruto gave a hmm and Hinata smiled, pleased with Kana's sensitivity to Naruto's modesty. Naruto directed Hinata and Kana to attack in concert with only taijutsu for today and the two females took up fighting stances on either side of Naruto. Hinata was in Gentle fist stance while Kana seemed to be in the stance of Tiger-Crane taijutsu.
They charged in unison. At first when he dodged Hinata's palm strikes Kana would catch Naruto with a swift hand blow but after a couple times he adjusted to the rhythm and either dodged both their blows or countered with a glancing blow of his own. Soon though the ladies began mixing it up, one attacking low while the other went high or changing between hand blows and kicks. The combined attack pushed Naruto past the limits his pregnancy had caused and he found himself resorting to new movements to return their blows.
Distracted though he was, Naruto still noticed and analyzed Kana's skill and style. He figured that she was at least chunin level in taijutsu and preferred to use subtle strikes that caused the most damage with the least amount of effort as opposed to powerful blows that caused a lot of damage but required a great deal of effort to execute. As the spar wound down, Naruto also noticed that she wasn't breathing very hard and realized that her stamina might be on par with his own. Hinata, Kana, and Naruto stilled and as Hinata went to her pack to get a bottle of water, Naruto turned to Kana and said, "How'd you learn Tiger-Crane style? I didn't think that Obito knew it that well."
"He doesn't. I sort of borrowed books and videos on the stances and strikes and watched people who know the style fight."
"You taught yourself?"
Kana nodded and Naruto nearly goggled. Someone teaching themselves a particular style of taijutsu was unheard of and should have been impossible to the degree of skill Kana had even for a genius.
"Did you ever have a mentor other than Obito?"
She shook her head, "No. The only ones who might have were too afraid of my mother's family's wrath."
Naruto nodded and changed the subject to a more pleasant topic, "What was the first jutsu beyond the basics that Obito taught you?"
Kana smiled, "He tried to teach me the Goukakyuu no Jutsu but I was never able to master it. The first jutsu I learned that wasn't a basic jutsu was Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu."
Naruto made a considering noise and told Kana to wait right there for a second then, he got something from Hinata and rejoined Kana. He handed the girl a piece of paper, "Can you channel some of your chakra into that?"
"Why?"
"It's a special paper to test your chakra affinity. Depending on which element you have a natural affinity to the paper will either crumble, burn, crinkle, be cut, or be soaking wet."
Kana blinked and looked down at the paper then, channeled a little of her chakra through it, jerking when it became wet. Naruto smiled, "Looks like you have a water affinity, that's probably why you had difficulty with the fire jutsu. Water jutsus'll be easiest for you."
Kana stared at Naruto for a moment then a grin spread across her face and she leapt at Naruto and gave him a tight hug, "Thank you! I always wondered why I had such a problem with the fire jutsu! I thought it was because I wasn't any good at ninjutsu but what you just told me means that I was just trying to learn the wrong kind of jutsu. Thank you Uzumaki-san."
Naruto chuckled and pat her on the head, "I'm glad it made you feel better Kana-kun."
Hinata smiled at them before calling them back to training.

Naruto had called an end to the training session and told Kana that she was free to do as she liked for the rest of the day and now the girl was sitting beside a small stream enjoying the peaceful sounds of the forest. Suddenly she heard a rustle nearby and jumped up, turning to face the intruder. A woman wearing a net bodysuit under an overcoat stood there staring at Kana in shock. Kana backed away slowly only to find herself thrown down with light brown eyes glaring at her and a hand at her throat. The woman hissed at Kana, �Who the hell are you. Why do you look like him?�
Kana gripped the woman�s wrist and hit a pressure point that had the grip on her throat loosening then, she pushed the woman off her and tried to run away but a large snake suddenly wrapped around her holding her immobile. The woman approached still glaring, �Now who are you?�
Kana returned the woman�s glare and yelled, �That�s my line! I was just sitting quietly by the water when you show up and attack me! So who the hell are you?!�
�Mitarashi Anko. Now answer me.�
Kana�s eyes widened and she mentally cursed. �Aw man I�m dead.� �My name is Kana.�
�No clan name?�
�No.�
Anko growled at the sparse answer, �Why do you look like Orochimaru.�
Kana snarled back at the woman, �Take a wild guess you psycho. Why would a 14 year old girl look like snakeface?�
Anko took in the girl�s defiant expression with growing understanding, �You�re his daughter?!�
�Much to my lament. If you�re going to kill me, get it over with. Otherwise get this scaly creep off me.�
The special jonin called off the snake, �What are you doing here?�
�That�s none of your business.�
Anko looked beyond the surface resemblance to her old mentor, saw a fiery girl with a painful past, and smiled, �You know kid you remind me of someone.�
�Gee ya think?�
�Not him. You remind me of myself.�
Kana�s jaw dropped and she gawked at Anko, �Huh?�
�Heh, you remind me of how I was at your age. If you�re gonna stick around Konoha and be a ninja, let me know. I�d like to train you.�
And with Kana still goggling at her Anko went to get some dango.

Sai ducked into the window of the office that Obito was attempting to file paperwork in, �Obito-kun.�
The Uchiha jumped and the papers he held went flying, much to Sai�s obvious amusement, �Sai-san! Don�t sneak up on me like that!�
Sai reached out to tug on Obito�s shirt, �I�m surprised you weren�t paying attention Obito-kun, that�s not like you.�
�I�m a bit busy right now.�
Sai chuckled, �I doubt this is the job for you. You hate having to sit still for so long.�
�Oh and what would you suggest as a job for me?�
Sai trailed a finger over Obito�s lips consideringly, �Hmm, I wonder,� the pale artist leant over and brushed his lips over Obito�s. The Uchiha gripped the back of Sai�s head increased the pressure of the kiss, coaxing Sai�s lips apart and slipping his tongue into the artist�s mouth and exploring the moist cavern. He bit at Sai�s lower lip roughly and the younger man moaned softly. Obito broke the kiss and nibbled the edge of Sai�s jaw leaving a small hickie. The Uchiha pulled away, �I�d go further but once I start I won�t stop and I hate being interrupted.�
Sai waited for his pulse to level, �I certainly hope you plan to finish this later.�
Obito smirked, �Knock on my window tonight after the others are asleep and bring some sound barrier seals. You know you�re a screamer.�
Sai nodded and walked back to the window, just before he leapt out of it he said, �As for a job for you, I think you�d make a good teacher at the academy. After all you survived Kana-kun.�
Obito�s lips quirked as the artist disappeared out the window. �Had to get the last word didn�t you. That�s alright; I�ll have plenty of time to decide how I�m going to get even tonight.�

Sasuke had brooded over Naruto�s words all day and had grudgingly admitted to himself that the blond was right about his being biased. Now he was sitting in the living room waiting for Naruto to come home. He looked up as the fox vessel came in, stopped short on sight of Sasuke, crosses his arms over his chest, and said, �Well?�
Sasuke stood up and went over to the blond, �I admit I have a bias regarding Kana however that doesn�t mean I�m going to change my opinion, it just means that I�m aware that my opinion is biased. I don�t trust her and that is unlikely to change.�
Naruto sighed and uncrossed his arms, �Alright just as long as you aren�t overtly cruel.�
Sasuke fingered a strand of Naruto�s hair, �Are we on level ground again?�
�As much as we ever are, why?�
The Uchiha smiled and pulled Naruto close, �I didn�t give you a goodbye kiss when I left this morning usuratonkachi,� and he leant down and gave Naruto a quick peck on the lips. Naruto grinned and reached around Sasuke in an embrace, leaning up to whisper against the former avenger�s lips, �Welcome home teme.�
The blond pressed his lips against Sasuke�s and opened his mouth to allow the brunette�s tongue inside. As Sasuke was pulling Naruto even closer, a dry voice drawled, �I hate to interrupt but I�m hungry and you�re blocking the way to the kitchen.�
Sasuke and Naruto jumped apart and turned to face an amused Obito. Obito just chuckled at Sasuke�s glare and said, �I�m glad to see you made up,� then the older Uchiha walked past them into the kitchen. Leaving Naruto to laugh when Sasuke said he wasn�t certain if having living relatives was a good thing or not.

T.W.: Whew, finally! Took me long enough didn�t it. I was supposed to post this last night but, well I kinda fell asleep at my keyboard. Gomen Mayumi-chan!
Itachi: Obito is sleeping with my uke?!
T.W.: (pats Fang on the head) Shh, it�s okay Fang he�s not mad at me. Are you Itachi?
Itachi: (eyes Fang) No.
T.W.: Now as for Sai being Obito�s uke in this fic (shrugs) I had to give him some kinda of lover and I just can�t see him with anyone but an Uchiha.
Sai: Why am I the uke? (pouts)
T.W.: Because you�re significantly younger than Obito.
Sai: So? Tachi is significantly younger than Orochimaru and you say that if it they ever paired up Tachi would be seme.
T.W.: (shudders) First of all, don�t put those images in my brain. Second of all Itachi is an uber-seme, not an uke bone in his body whereas snake boy, while often seme, has a major uke vibe. Third of all both you and Obito are ukes to the bone and when two ukes are paired up in my little world, the younger bottoms.
Sai: (pouts even more) That�s stupid.
Itachi: (smirks and goes over to Sai) Let me take your mind off it (nuzzles Sai�s neck and kisses him)
T.W.: Ooooh, yummyness. Well I�m gonna get a camera and popcorn for this. Next chapter will be the confrontation between Kakashi and Iruka and Kana�s fate will be decided. So I�ll see you-
Sai: AH! Tachi!
T.W.: Holy! 0.0 (drool) uh gotta go now. Ja ne!
