Chapter 4.

“Sasuke your father is waiting for you in his study, he is says is rather urgent for you to speak to him regarding our marriage.”

Sasuke turned and glared at the pink haired women in front of him. “This is no marriage nor will there be any marriage.”

“I know Sasuke, I know but try telling that to your father. I can’t say anything and is not my fault you put me in this position you know I don’t like you like that! I don’t understand why you even mentioned it to your father that we were even dating in the first place.”

“I needed time.”

“Yeah time, bullshit. Just tell him straight up that you are gay! I am not going to part of this any longer!” Sakura turned to walk out of the room when she felt a hand grab her arm and slam her against the wall.

“You listen and you listen good. I will not tell my father that I am gay, I will not tell him one word. Do you understand me? You will do as I say and when I say it and if you much say a word to my father about my sexual orientation, I’ll end you?! You got that?!” He hissed and let her go.

“Whatever.” Sakura mumbled and walked out the door. “Stupid bastard. Stupid, stupid bastard.” She thought to herself as she walked down the steps and into the study.

“Mr. Uchiha, Sasuke said he will meet with you shortly he is just finishing up some essay he has due tomorrow.”

“He is your fiancée, and you will call him as such.”

Sakura mentally glared at the man sitting in front of he desk, who has been signing contracts left and right. “Yes, right of course. I am still getting used to the idea. This was all so sudden…guess I still feel this isn’t real.”

Fugaku Uchiha placed the pen on the desk and stared at the young girl in front of him. “What he sees in you is beyond me.”

Sakura’s mouth opened in shock and closed it. “I beg your pardon?”

“You have nothing to give. You are just a plain simple girl. You can’t simply be an Uchiha…”

“Yeah well that’s not what your son says or thinks and quite frankly that his decision to decide not yours.”

“Show yourself out.”

“Gladly.” She mockingly said.

Seriously so stupid. Can’t wait for this to be over.

Naruto waited patiently for Sakura to show up at the designated spot. It had been years since he last spoke to her, things never managed to be the same after that. She got too jealous too quickly over something that Naruto seemed to be happy about. It seemed as if instead of seeing him happy, she wanted to see him happy with her and that’s something that Naruto couldn’t do.

Ten minutes had passed and still no sign of Sakura. He fished out his phone from his pocket and checked the time. “I’ll give her five more minutes if by then she doesn’t show up, I am gone.” He thought to himself. He stood up from the bench and stretched, his bones popped and he sighed in contentment.

“Naruto?”

He turned around and right there staring at him were the greens eyes and pink hair he hasn’t seen since his eleven grade. “Sakura…”

Sakura smiled lightly and placed a strand of hair behind her ear. “How have you been?”

Naruto just stared at her, couldn’t really form words. The years have been good to her. She grew to be a beautiful women. He hugged her as tears brimmed onto Sakuras eyes. “I’m sorry” He whispered to her, as he placed a kiss on the top of her head.

“I’m the one who should be sorry.” She muffled said into his chest. She pulled away and looked at him. “The years have been good to you.”

“I’d say the same about you.” He wiggled his eye brows up and down as Sakura laughed lightly.

“Don’t worry, my feelings for you have been long gone.”

They stayed silent for a moment until Sakura cleared her throat. “You know the message I sent you?”

Naruto sighed and sat on the bench. “Yeah…I mean I want to know, but I don’t want to know either. Is something that I don’t know. I don’t really know.”

“I understand, I probably be same way.”

Sakura sat down next to him and gripped his hand gently. “I know you must have been in a difficult situation, but I just didn’t know what else to do. I figured that since ya ended it, you wouldn’t care anymore but then…”

Naruto turned to look at her. “But then what?” He furrowed his eyebrows in question.

“Ino.”

“Ah, my so call friends. They contacted you or something is that you sent me that text or you knew something before they did but it took you a while to send me anything?”

Sakura didn’t know what to say. She knew something was up the moment they started to date, she knew how the Hyuugas were. She knew that Hinata’s father would have not approved of Naruto and for when she tried to explain that to him, he misunderstood the whole thing. She furrowed her eyebrows in concentration on how to say what she needed to say, but at the moment her phone rang. Startled by the ringing she opened up her purse and took her phone out.

“Bad timing Sasuke.” She sent an apologetic look at Naruto whom he dismiss by a wave of the hand. She stood from the bench and walked a little further away from Naruto.

“Yeah?”

“My father is displeased with you.”

“Okay so? He isn’t my father , so I could care less!”

“Where are you by the way?”

“Where am I? Seriously? You aren’t my husband, you aren’t my boyfriend so honestly that doesn’t concern you. Give me my damn space Sasuke. I am nothing to you. I am busy. Good bye!”

Sakura hanged up her phone and she walked back she grinned sheepishly. “Fiancé.” She moved her phone a little, “So annoying actually.”

Naruto eyes widen as his brain registered the information. “You are engaged? When did this happen?”

“It’s a very long story, that’s for another time.”

They both sat in silence for a brief moment neither of them not knowing how to ask or say what they needed to say.

“Naruto…”

“I want to know believe me, I want to know but I don’t think I am ready to…”

Naruto stared ahead of him and sighed deeply. Is been close to two months already and he just didn’t know what to do. Everything for happened was just basically a waste of time honestly but he still needed that closure so badly to move on to finally having a normal life. Maybe she is doing okay, maybe she did find somebody better than him. But that’s just it, he wanted to be the better man, he wanted to be the man she would have married.

“Stupid fucking Kiba…” He thought to himself as he stood up from the bench and kicked the rock that was in front of him.

“Kiba…Kiba mentioned something to me about an arrogant bastard that she might be with…”

Sakura stayed silent and her eyes widen a bit. “So they also knew…I thought it was just Ino…”

“Did they tell you who?”

Naruto shook his head and sat back down. “It all happened last night. Everything just came out, and Kiba said something bout arrogant bastard and both Ino and Tenten got mad. I got mad afterwards because they knew something and they didn’t tell me. They knew something Sakura, and they didn’t tell me…they knew…”

Sakura grasped Naruto hands in hers and placed it on her lap. “Oh Naruto. I don’t know where to start…I know who they are talking about but I just want to be sure you are ready…”

“Just tell me…”

“Itachi Uchiha. That’s whose she is engaged too and that’s the guy she left you for…”

Naruto’s body fell numb. His body couldn’t move, his blood felt like it drained from his body. He started to feel dizzy. He let go of Sakura’s hand and placed both palms on his eyes. “Why, why, why…”

“I know Naruto, I know….” Sakura sighed. “There’s a reason why I know.” She closed her eyes lightly and when she reopened them her eyes seemed to harden at just the thought of saying what she was gonna say. At the thought that she is engaged to an arrogant bastard herself and that the thought that the reason she is engaged is because he was afraid of telling them he is gay.

“I am engaged to his brother Sasuke and this happened not too long ago but like I said that’s for another time.”

Naruto snorted and laughed stupidly. “All this time is because she fell out of love for me…or something happened or…or…man I don’t know. He has money doesn’t he?”

Sakura shook her head yes, and fished out her phone once more. “Shit.” She whispered to herself. “Naruto, I gotta run…I can’t…I want…fuck…I’ll text you okay?” With that she quickly left the area and straight to parking lot.

“Sakura wait!” But it fell into deaf ears. “How is she?” He whispered into the air.

“Where were you?”

Sasuke asked as he paced back and forth in his study. He looked at her sternly with those dead cold eyes that he has. He had no patience when it came down to certain matters. He was in too deep to say anything now, he was an Uchiha and from what his father had told him, Uchihas hold their ground and they don’t back down regardless of whom it was or what it is.

Sakura scoffed, “Seriously? That is none of your concern, afraid that your father is going to figure it out? Are you scared of your father Sasuke?” She mockingly said, as she placed her purse and her keys on the table that was next to the sofa.

Sasuke glared hard, his fist on his side shaking from anger. “ I will not be made a fool of.”

“Yeah well that’s not my problem. I told you, this isn’t for me. I can’t be part of something that it has no business doing with me!”

Sasuke pushed Sakura against the wall and forcibly kissed her only to be pushed back and a slap across his face. “Don’t you dare Sasuke, don’t you fucking dare!”

Sasuke stared hard on the wooded floor, as his body started to shake. “I will not be made a fool of Sakura…” He opened the door and walked out before slamming it shut and making Sakura jump.

“I need to get out of this fucking marriage!” She said to herself as she threw a book across the room smashing a lamp in the process.

She sat down on the sofa and she softly to cry. None of this was supposed to happen, she wasn’t supposed to be introduced as the fiancée of the most arrogant bastard ever! She had a good going life, she was going to school, she had a career set up and everything got destroyed the minute she met this Sasuke Uchiha. She figured something was up when they were talking at a café where she accidently bumped into him.

He wasn’t mad, angry, annoyed nothing. He apologized for not watching where he was going instead. He ended up purchasing her the latte too along with a banana bread she desperately wanted. Everything changed the minute he introduced her to his father as the girlfriend and a week later the status changed to fiancée.

She angrily wipe away the tears that were running down her face, grabbed her pursed and left the Uchiha house in an angry manner. She needed to talk to somebody, anybody, and someone who can understand but definitely not Hinata, not after what she did to Naruto. Definitely not her.
