Chapter 4 Excerpts from Jiraiyas’ Journal

-Secret Hideout-

“Naruto has been given the journal, and journeying with Itachi.” His companion barely inclined their head in acknowledgement, but nonetheless understood the double meaning of the others words.

“He is the child of prophecy as foretold, however, what role will he play savior or destroyer.” She rose to her feet, departing the finely appointed room, red hair swaying behind her.

-Small cottage just outside of Wave Country-

Silence settled throughout the cozy cottage, and Naruto decided tonight would make for perfect reading the Toad Sages’ journal.

Dear Prophecy’s Child,

The Council of Konoha has once again demonstrated their arrogance, and stupidity. Hime and I spoke at length regarding The Legacy. So, they want to place him on a leash keeping him tied to the village; in fear of what, him being captured or deserting the corruption that has withheld his freedom. Akatsuki is no threat at the moment as informed by Itachi. I pity him each time we meet. As a shinobi we are meant to be emotionless soldiers that protect the villages in which we dwell, but how many ninjas have exterminated their entire Clan save for one? In The Village Hidden in the Leaves that is. If they think only two Uchiha’s exists they are more inept than originally thought.

I have decided, to limit my visits to the place I once called home even more than before, only to answer the summon of Hime or him.

Well, I am off to research, my readers are waiting.

“So, he knew about Madara.”

Dear Prophecy’s Child,

Upon entering my former students abode. I stumbled across a secret passage hidden behind an elaborate Genjutsu. Boy am I impressed, he is a genius after-all. Dispelling the Genjutsu and releasing the seal, the wall opened to a scroll room. Built-in bookshelves lined all four walls, and a desk sat in the center. I noticed a scroll of the seal placed that night of the Kyuubi attack, and debated whether I was imposing or not, instead settled on reading the scroll. I concluded that my former student wanted me to enter this room otherwise, releasing the seal would have been impossible.

After reading the scrolls contents, I could only sit there, and reread once more. The Kyuubi did not embody all of its spirit. Apparently, someone was able to circumvent the fox out of its Star Orb. When Kyuubi demanded the Orbs return the thief refused, which resulted in the attack on Konoha. As told to Minato before the spirit was sealed. Yes, spirit. Kyuubi is not a demon, but a tainted Fox Spirit. While sealed it can not be summoned, only extracted, but at the cost of the extractor’s life.

Hehe, the object of my research just opened. Until next time.

‘Kyuubi, who has the orb?’

‘Uchiha Madara, Kit. The orb resides within his body. How do you think the Uchiha traitor was able to push me into dormancy? Since Madara is his father in absorbing the orb, my spirit energy flows through his veins, which in-turn passed to his son.’

‘Can you get it back?’

‘Once the sinister Uchiha is dead.’

‘I believe he is more obsessed with power than Sasuke could ever be.’

‘Beyond words, Kit, beyond words.’

Dear Prophecy’s Child,

Secrets, I loath passionately, and yet I am the keeper of many, and a shinobi’s life is built on countless secrets. If one wants to survive until the next mission or attack. I have avoided the topic of Rokudou Sennin, but that option is no longer viable, and I must face this straight-out. Always the difficult ones for me, heh, but I enjoyed teaching Minato most. His love for the village over shadowed his immense power. Rokudou would have been proud. Well time is against me, and there is much to prepare.

I guess a little research might loosen me up.

Dear Prophecy’s Child,

After a visit with Hime, and the Shrine foreboding settled, it was than I realized how close we are to the prophecy coming-to-pass. War has been inching its way to Konoha the same as fine vintage sake ages, and once ripened, savored, except Konoha will be plundered, and ripped apart. By a man bent on destruction, and chaos, but if he listens answer his calling the Village Hidden Among Tree Leaves will never see darkness.

Well, I am ending here, since I must prepare for a meeting with Fukasaku regarding the future of the Five Elemental Countries, and the prophecy.

Only have time to meet the Elder Toad. I’m really getting old, no time for the ladies.

“Itachi was correct, Madara is mad, but so is Pein.”

Dear Prophecy's Child,

This is much worse than originally feared. Madara is Kirigakure no Sato (the Village Hidden in Mist) Kage. He never recovered from his grudge against Shoamine for becoming Hokage. The Mist is known as a brutal blood thirsty village, and I understand now why. The Uchiha is or was known for his war mongering, and years have past yet, he still feels the need to cause inane destruction, and for what to sate his ire with power. He created his own dark world, and he wants to parry the rest of civilization into a dark hole of nothingness. Arrogant prick, che. Hopefully, the little Uchiha will awaken soon; turn-away from senseless darkness created by web of lies, and deceit.

Pein is another character altogether. My sources revealed that he heads the rebel fraction, and is undefeated. Perfect criminal organization leader, just perfect. No one sees him often, and he accompanied by a woman with blue hair. We all have our kink. He resides with his rebel fraction in Amegakure no Sato (Village Hidden in Rain) which, is Akatsuki headquarters. So this is were my journey will either end, or create a new beginning.

Now, for quality time with the ladies.

Dear Naruto,

I know what risk I am placing by writing this down, but the likely hood of me making it of this battle alive is grim. You come from great line of strong ninjas, therefore in your blood to be a great ninja in your own way. Please accept my apology for not being there to cheer you on through life, but I knew this day would come it was prophesized, and that I would die before seeing the prophecy fulfilled. Death rides my back, and I do not mind.

Not many can boast about having two great students, especially when they are father and son. Who would have thought? I am proud of you never think differing about that. One day you will become Hokage. You will be the light in the darkness.

Visit the ladies one time for a Super Pervert.
