Tsunade read Sakura's report with a frown. "So the scroll got destroyed by this Kyosuke fellow's technique," she murmured to herself. She sighed. It was such a shame. Her granduncle's techniques would have helped Konoha greatly in preserving the peace. They could've leaked information to other hidden villages about the scroll and the Nidaime Hokage's techniques, thereby discouraging them from picking fights with Konoha.
Still, with Kyosuke's death, she could still bluff. 'There's still a chance that A doesn't know that I don't have the scroll,' she thought. She'd have to study A's body language closely during the next summit to see if he's aware of this fact.
Her mind wandered to her student and a smile graced her lips. Despite not being able to retrieve the scroll, Sakura and Kiba had done quite well. The scroll being destroyed was still far better than it falling into others' hands. The Inuzuka managing to go toe-to-toe with such a powerful shinobi warranted praise. She'd visit them much later to congratulate them. She looked at the wall clock. By this time, the two younger shinobi should be... busy.
Tsunade forced down a giggle. She knew the dog-nin would recover in time—a fact she kept from Sakura. She'd known about her student's little obsession in matching Naruto and Sasuke's skills for quite some time now and her talk-slash-interrogation with Ino had confirmed that it was getting in the way of Sakura and Kiba's relationship. 'Nothing makes one realize the importance of seizing the day more than a near-death experience,' she thought. Life is short, especially so for ninja. A shot at happiness doesn't come too often; some miss out entirely. She sincerely hoped that her student would realize this.
The busty blonde flipped to the next page to read an additional report the pink-haired kunoichi had submitted. The younger shinobi had left to "confirm some suspicions" a couple of hours ago, and it turns out that she was correct. Honey-colored eyes flew over a concise narrative describing a second Kumo ninja named Kai who had...
Tsunade felt the breath leave her lungs. No. It couldn't be. She returned to the previous page. 'Kyosuke had kōton, and the tattoo on this Kai fellow's shoulder could mean...'
"Shizune!" she yelled.
The raven-haired kunoichi entered the office carrying Tonton in her arms. She had transferred back to the room adjoining the hokage's after tmaking her relationship with Kabuto public, thus removing the need for sneaking around. "Yes, hokage-sama?" she inquired.
"I want a teleconference with A, now!"
"But—"
"Now!" the blonde growled, her table splintering suddenly. Only then did she realize that she had been gripping the edge too tightly. "Sorry, but this is very important."
Shizune nodded in understanding, her brows furrowed with worry. Tsunade wasn't one to worry over something unless it was truly critical. "The power sources are a bit out of juice from a recent teleconference with the Fire Daimyō, but I'll see what I can do." She bowed before leaving in a rush.
The Godaime Hokage looked out the window and stared at the stone carvings of her grandfather and granduncle. "'Two brothers of great power, one light, one dark, the former born on the longest day, the latter born on the longest night, shall herald the awakening of He who shall try to impose his will on humanity with a power ever so curious,'" she murmured at no one in particular. "A prophecy that only the Uzumaki know of, one so old that it predates even the Senju… Some thought it was you two, the most powerful ninja siblings to exist, and 'He' was Madara. Neither of you can be strictly labelled as 'light' or 'dark,' though. Some made a looser use of the term 'brother' and thought it was Naruto and Sasuke. Given their powers, it could be so, but the phrasing gives no doubt that it describes two brothers born on the summer and winter solstice. If those two Kumo ninja with kōton and meiton have those birthdays…" she trailed.

"Kimiko-san, he has taken a mate."
A gasp of delight. "Truly? I can't believe it. For centuries, we have tried and failed. Now, we have both the technology and the perfect specimen. We now have a chance to succeed in awakening Him. Send word to all the members of our church. We shall have a grand celebration at His altar. Every member shall partake in this and shall perform his and her best under His watchful gaze."
A stifled moan. "Yes, Kimiko-san."

Authors Notes: And so we close another chapter in the Violate Me universe. I know, it's quite open-ended. I want you guys to have a bit of liberty to imagine scenarios for yourself before the final "I do." The plot for a follow-up, a Naruto/Hinata, is already forming in my head. It just might be even crazier than this one. And yes, the Kiba/Sakura wedding will take place in that piece. It's a matter of finding the time to write it.
I've met some criticism with Kiba being as strong as he is. It's been shown in the manga that jutsu can be taught. Even ninja who can't use doton learned to create a Mud Wall in the war, so I figured, with enough aptitude, even Naruto's friends can learn to use Flying Thunder God Technique. Granted, it's not an easy technique to pull off, but Genma, Raidō and Iwashi managed to learn it. I estimate that Team Guy + the Rookie Nine would be stronger than these guys, so yeah, I went ahead and gave them the technique. Naruto strikes me as a guy who'd teach even his old man's greatest technique to his friends in an attempt to keep them safe. To balance things out, note that a single use almost made Sakura pass out whereas Minato and Tobirama can spam it effortlessly. So yeah, still a big gap there, my friend.
Kōton and meiton were essential to the plot as it sets up something for the next piece. I needed something significant enough to describe two people, and what could be more specific than two kekkei tōta? Now, that ended up giving me a dilemma. People with kekkei tōta are ridiculously strong. We're talking kage-level ninja, so Kiba, being the protagonist, had to be adjusted to match them. It wasn't something I created out of whim. I had to create the Inugama bit just to have a reason why he'd be stronger than expected. On that note, are you guys interested in seeing that databook and the Photoshopped images of the kings?
